Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Not Always the Right Way [private/ikka]

Fire enveloped the boy, eating into the paper shield then died out, leaving a smoldering, smoking cloud. The air was thick now in the room. Large as it was, that amount of smoke trapped in a closed in area would make the air nearly unbreathable, let alone it was now hard to see through. The boy, taking the chance to attack at the pyro was open to attack from behind.

As before, the first man moved with intense speed. He came up around Ikkadan to attack his back. His hands glowed an unsightly orange hue and he swung down with bare hands. The heat from him was not unlike fire, it was almost as if he was burning the air around his hands. They had the ability to wither living things to ash; to scorch them dry. His aim was placed solely as a killing strike for the boy's spine, high near the back of his neck.

Maybe it would have connected, maybe not. Eiji had torn away from his own battle, having the opportunity for only a moment to counter the man's attack. Swift and precise, he reached over the body of the man, grasped his striking fist and wrenched him backwards. He wasn't expecting to be attacked and his wrist snapped under the pressure of Eiji's crystal claws.

Ikkadan's attack proceeded forward, thrusting toward the pyro who crouched, a nasty grin on his cruel lips. As the beautiful plants and branches reached out to bind him, he raised a hand and with a Pyrokinetic Touch the attack was shattered and blown apart. What followed what a torrent of fire so large it enveloped the man as well, yet he stood safe. The fire was his pet. And while he wanted to attack closer, a look fo craziness in his eyes, he didn't. He obediently stood beside Hanabi, whose laugh was growing more maniacal.

The remaining three fighters, however, did not remain passive. The one with an battlehammer leaped into the air and aimed to bring his hammer down on Ikkadan's body. The move was so wide and obvious, though that Eiji was able to yell at his companion, referencing the binding plants, "Use it on him instead!"

His own words were almost cut off as the man he had saved Ikkadan from twisted his arm downward, pulling Eiji toward the ground, ignoring the pain in his broken wrist and brought a dagger from his vest. He drove it in toward Eiji's sternum. It was all he could do to land on his side, which caused him to hit the hard enough to crack a rib, but shift away from the attack just so the dagger dragged through the muscle on his chest and slammed, tip end into the stone floor. Blood sprayed from the wound. It was ugly but superficial.

The man was cocky. He thought the wound had been worse and grinned, a terrible choice of moments. It was a testament to the type of men they were; bounty hunters or mercs. The man's wrist was ruined and could do nothing to halt Eiji's clawed hand from striking again. A sharp, second twist of his body and the man's throat was torn open. Shock registered then a flailing attempt to get away which ended up with the man flopping over onto his back like a baby seal on land. Blood splashed over the smaller man in a river of crimson, wetting his arms and torso solidly. He would be dead soon. He had hit a major vein.

The man with the battlehammer would be upon him, if Ikkadan did nothing to stop him. The other two melee fighters also came in, seeking to flank both shinobi from the sides.

Everything was moving at such a fast space, almost as if the world was against the boy's perception of time and tangibility. These men were lightning fast, super strong and were clearly overpowering the boy like he was dirt beneath their boot, and even then, calling himself dirt was only giving himself a compliment. One man, as fast as he could, strobe'd through the chamber and appeared behind Ikka - the sensation of heat, an ugly, humid aura pressed against the boy's back, giving him notice of an on-coming attack. "Shi-" Ikka twisted his head, straining his neck muscles at such a fast reaction, but was met with the clash of two forces: Eiji's claw and that criminal's piping hot hand. It looked as if Eiji had the best of him for the moment, so taking the chance, the boy would push himself forward and focus on latching his Suppression technique around that other shinobi.

However, all was still not well, and the targeted shinobi somehow managed to turn the boy's technique into a smokey column of fire and ash. The trail of wood, plants of petals ignited and funneled a pathway back to Ikka, allowing the fire to come within a whisk of dealing a great amount of damage to him. Although, the resulting collision did expel a large amount of smoke, which covered Ikka's position for a brief moment. And then, as the smog clear, Ikka's eyes scanned the area, only moments after being alerted by Eiji to 'use it on him instead' - but who was he talking about?

And then he heard it, the massive swoosh of a blunt object, a weapon, being prompted back and ready to be swung. However the look in the young boy's eye was something fierce, as if he was saying: "I'm not giving up" with a slotted expression and a firm pair of lips, almost scrunched up with anger. There wasn't enough time to singularly use his Suppression technique against that Hammer-wielding man, but if he was able to engage him, then just maybe. Ikka would hold open his right hand, allowing paper to form, and to mold into the shape of another paper weapon: a spear. The boy would push himself off from the ground, doing so would cause the smoldering embers from his clothes to be pushed by the pressure of his jump, prompting his spear and stabbing it to make a connection with the hammer's face.

If it connected, hopefully, their positions would be stationary for a few moments and that would allow Ikkadan to conjure up a few vines from that same plot of uncovered earth. The vines would thrash forward, sprouting into adults with great speed as they entered the air and whizzed past Ikka; heading straight for their target. His weapon would be occupied due to the spear, so he wouldn't have enough time to make a break for it? The boy would hope that the vines, embedded with yellow thorns, would wrap around the man and dig their twisted fangs deep into his rusted red flesh.

"Captain Eiji!" He would exclaim towards Eiji, really just hoping that he was okay.

Too much was happening all at once. It was one thing to be outnumbered slightly. It was also one thing to have a weaker companion on your side and being outnumbered. But severely outnumbered, outmatched and having a handicap (Ikkadan)? It was asking for hell. If he had the time to think about it, Eiji might have to admit they were probably not going to make it out of this alive.

Two men were down. The one was dead, having recently gone still, his eyes still open and staring empty-like to the far wall. The other man was sobbing, holding onto the sizzling stump where a shin used to be, sitting in his own vomit. And both of those men had been formidable opponents. Their ends gave Eiji and Ikkadan that more much of a percentage to win this ridiculous situation, but it was still so small of a percentage..

The two men at the back of the room had managed to peel the papers from their mouths but did not try to help in the fight. They remained half hidden behind the throne like cowards. They were excited because it looked like there was no way the shinobi were going to win, but after seeing what the girly-man shinobi had done to two of their mercs in only a few seconds time, they were wary.

Hanabi, however was ecstatic. Her eyes were wildly delighted and her tongue was wedged up into the corner of her lips; an unconscious expression of pleasure like a person ready to lick their lips. She was leaning forward in her seat, having to lean slightly to the side to see around her fiery bodyguard who too was not engaging into the fight further, waiting to see the battle hammer come down on Ikkadan and splatter the boy into paste. Yet this would not be the outcome of the assault. The young ninja was determined to live and fight.

Ikkadan's quick thinking had him conjuring up a spearlike paper weapon and he thrust it forward to meet the downward attack by the hefty hammer wielder. The collision was violent, stopping one another dead on, which took the man by surprise. The affect sent a ripple of energy horizontal from the pint of impact and both parties would be thrown the opposite directions. The hammer had been imbued with chakra, an explosive chakra and was like a bomb. Since it didn't hit flesh, Ikkadan wouldn't be harmed, save however he landed. The other man was sent tumbling backward and landed in a heap on the other side of the room after going through two support pillars.

Eiji was saved by the boys actions, something he didn't take for granted but didn't have time to thank at the present moment. Both other weapon wielders came at his sides as he rose quickly to his feet. A pang of pain sliced through his chest from the wound he'd suffered and a frightening thought washed over his mind. It had been... poisoned, hadn't it? A flash of the man's face, the sadistic glee in his eye as his dagger had purchased injury on his opponent..

Whatever it was, it didn't act fast or at least the strange ph of Eiji's blood was staving off it's affects slightly. But he could feel the hint of weakness. He knew it was only a matter of time before they took him down and then Ikkadan would be at their mercy.

Scowling, the older shinobi ducked the swing of the first man's sword as it came toward his throat and pushed away toward the left to avoid the second attack, he useda surge of chakra into his legs to put a large distance between himself and the men. Eiji's skill laid strongest in his taijutsu abilities and so he was more capable at resisting or dodging the attacks of such blunt and direct moves. Yet the poison was working faster now and it wouldn't let him continue this way. He couldn't fight this battle alone. His body was failing him.

Breathing hard, he moved on instinct rather than thought; it needed to be ended quickly and he seen by a medic. His rational mind would be screaming right now if he was listening to it, but it was a mute child now. He was a master of his evil art. With the few precious seconds the two would need to recover, turn and attack again Eiji put his hands through a set of seals and slapped his palms together. The blue of his eyes turned black, first spreading from his pupils, then quickly it overtook the whites of his eyes as well. A sinister violet chakra swirled visibly from his body then the ground before his shook, cracked the finally broke open. A cragged and deadened looking piece of wood the size of a fullgrown man came through, smoldering. Both attackers halted, unsure of what they were seeing.

Before them, the wood broke down the center then split open. From it an ashen skinned man stepped forward. There was an old, dried wound over his heart. It did not look healed, it looked almost fresh, save for the dark hue. He was once a handsome man, tall and broad shouldered. His dark, shaggy black hair was pushed away from his face and a chipped Suna forehead protector was strapped to his head and his clothes looked to be an old style of Suna-ANBU, a look they'd stopped using almost 10 years ago.

The sight of the man, no the corpse caused Eiji's brow to furrow and his body to tense. For a hair's breath, it looked as though the beautiful shinobi were on the verge of sadness, then he said in a calm voice, "Summoning: Impure World Resurrection. Satsuma... kill them."

The harsh scented corpse turned his head to look at his controller, his own irises white and lifeless, but a smile came to his lips. They cracked and spilled a dark, thick dribble of blood then he turned away and said in response, "As you wish, Eiji-kun."

The corpse raised his hands and with lightening quick movements created a sequence of handseals. His body begins to glow a sickening green tone and he readies himself to attack..

On the far side of the room, the Hammer user had to shake the dust and rubble from his body. Being tossed so far away from the fight, it's inprobable that Ikkadan would get a chance to attack him with the thorns and trees. His attention too was drawn to the corpse display, confused at what he was seeing.

Ikkadan was moved much closer to the pyro who, unlike the others, was no impressed by Eiji's display or deterred by it. He took the chance to make an attack for the boy, pressing his hands through handseals as well and blew a huge wave of fire in his direction. "I'll put you on a spit, roast you and eat your flesh, you little prick!" he spat at Ikkadan, trying to burn the boy alive. Yet he didn't move closer, being almost glued to his place between the shinobi and Hanabi. All their work would be moot if either of them could GET to Hanabi.

[Long post is long.. =D]

Ikka's expression shifted from seriousness to pain as his paper spear made direct contact with the man wielding the hammer. The kinetic explosion caused from the mysterious hammer, which had hidden properties, caused the two beings to be tossed dramatically from the epicenter for their battle. Luckily, Ikka's foe stumbled and fell to his temporary defeat. And the boy, well, he just managed to rebound from that fall and skid to a complete halt. His feet burned, the uncomfortable heat from friction that his wooden sandals did nothing to stop, in fact, the sole's of his feet had a few new friends: some splinters.

The boy would push himself backwards, winching with an uncomfortable expression at the singe of his flesh being pierced numerously with hot little pricks. Heh, well, didn't that sound a little wrong? Ikkadan's eyes would stray from the hammer-wielding foe, as for now he was down, but obviously not out for the count. His eyes would affix their chocolate sweetness upon his captain, whom was in a spot of trouble. But what could Ikka do, really? He wanted to help, desperately, but found no solution to this situation: he would be attacked from two fronts if he helped Eiji with a direction motion. "I can't do nothing," he would clench his singing hand, "I have to help him, even if I get hurt... I'll gladly be his cannon fodder!" The boy would declare his unwavering devotion for Eiji, allowing his unflappable kindness to assume control and dictate his own safety.

Eiji looked hurt, and that's really why Ikka had harshly decided to endanger his own life to assist him, even though Eiji was a veteran of battle and could handle his foes. Quickly, or as quickly as he could, the boy would focus all his energy by brushing through a few seals; which, in turn, would cause a few sprouting vines to escape from small canyons that separated the cobbled floor. These vines would gently wrap around, in they were able, the captain's legs and reach his crouch area before coming to a halt, but what were they for? After a few seconds, they would begin to literally bloom, their small - unnoticeable - buds growing in size until they were ready to emerge from sheltered housing. The flowers, which defied beauty, were special in that they could give life energy to one who needed it. Their chocolate, velvet texture was something unknown to the world and something that only the boy could create in its entire uniqueness.

The base of these flowers, their stems, would snap - really withered at an accelerated rate - from the earth, but some of the stems remained with the all-important flowers. They would continually warp around Eiji's body and supply the man with a small amount of life force, something that would combat his injuries but not for long. With any technique, there came a price... And the price was Ikkadan's safety. For the boy to hold onto this technique for an extended period of time, he had to focus his chakra all on Eiji. Which meant that he was now defenseless...

And with the evil of attacking a defenseless boy, came the darkness of a, ironically, searingly hot wave of flames. Unbeknown to Ikka, as he focused his energy over his technique, the pyro-like man had already launched an attack against the boy. The wave of tumbling fire would crash upon its self, like an angry tsunami, and without do-cause it crashed upon the boy and engulfed his tiny body; tossing him violently. Everything went dark, the light left the boy's eyes as the world turned its loving embrace away. And like a drag doll, Ikka was slammed against a concrete pillar. The resulting collision had caused the pillar to pin the boy against the wave as it continually singed his flesh without much effort.

"Gauuuaaaah!!" Ikka would scream as he lay on the ground, body pressed against the concrete pillar with a circle of crack material outlining his body roughly. The boy would have been tossed from his engagement with the fire-wielding man, a foe that matched his own strength or rather, more likely, a man who immensely surpassed the boy and only toyed with him curiously. Ikka's vines, those twisted babies with yellow blades, would have been obliterated due to the kinetic, Hellish explosion from before; that's how strong the boy's foe was, so he couldn't rely solely on his techniques anymore. "Eiji...?" He would add, jarring his body slightly but immediately regretting such an action as his back had become an epicenter for pain incarnate. The cobbled pieces of concrete would rest upon his shoulders like fateful companions, dust embedded into his orange zest strands and blood trickling down his somewhat, now, pasty complexion. Blood, he was losing blood from his head - an injury not to serious, but would worsen with battle. But really, this writer was just underrating how hurt the boy was. His flesh had reddened to a raw-like quality

His bubbling eyes, those chocolate hues would trail away from the blurry image of that pyro-maniac and fixate, once again, on Eiji. However, something was up, the man stood behind the protection of a wooden construct; could he create a form of wood element too? No, no, something wasn't right, whatever 'right' was, because the energy that danced from the wooden box was dark and different from the boy's. But yet, even without a whole-heartedly sense of goodness coming from that construct, it didn't really feel evil. And it took a while for Ikka's mind to adjust to the image of another man, although he could only see a side-profile of the fellow and due to his flesh singing; it was hard to focus all of his attention. Who was he? And why was he standing next to Eiji, obviously he wasn't an enemy otherwise the captain would have been struck.

"Eiji..." Ikka, with his crispy voice, edged his voice over to the man, "I'm sorry..." He would murmur under his breath, unable to move as his heart constantly kept the boy in turmoil about his inability to help his captain.

Cannon fodder, no, even that has more of a use than this boy.

[Counter-no-jutsu with loads of text! Sorry if it seems jumbled ;---;]

The flowers, beautiful and surprising wrapped themselves up his lean, strained legs and hugged to his form tightly. He knew then how weakened he had become since they have come up to his body without his previous knowledge. He resisted being startled or reacted save his enemies learn of his unwary state. Then they released energy upon the leader, washing away some of his tiredness and injury. He could feel the wound hurt less and the poison slow it's venomous passing into his heart. It lasted only a short time, then they seemed to die out. With the sudden influx of heat to his side and the end of the help, he knew Ikkadan must have fallen victim to a hard attack. The scream that followed confirmed his thought process and then little more. He couldn't hear the boy speak his name. His ears were drumming and he felt bile rising up his throat.

Finally, however, he didn't need to hold onto summoning... Satsuma's corpse. It was free to move and fight for his will and die for him.

Eiji knew this day would come. For ten years he had held into Satsuma's lifeforce, unwilling to let his lover pass to nothingness. He'd bound his soul to him on his death bed and kept his corpse sealed away so Eiji could use him in battle if the time came. But if he was honest with himself, he always hoped he would never need to; that he would be tied to him forever. What a childish wish with such perverse naivety. He knew he wouldn't be able to just watch him, sit and gawk like a heartbroken teenage girl at the handsome face he hadn't looked upon for a decade. The poison in him hurt less. But Ikkadan...

Eiji's eyes sought out the body and he winced. He was either dead or very near to it. He wouldn't allow him to perish, the boy had sacrificed himself for Eiji's health. It was a stupid thing to do, but he was indebted to him; his life was on his hands.

Satsuma surged forward then, a wide blunt sprint. The two enemies grinned at one another, seeing the wide move as an easy target and both ran toward Satsuma, weapons raised. To them, there was no question this new opponent was going to fall to their weapon. However, they didn't know he was a corpse and didn't fear injury or death.

Eiji had to look away, turning and rushing the hammer-foe with a desperate ferocity. He struck out a basic fire attack to the main's left flank, causing him to step right and into Eiji's second crystal attack, one that sliced into the man's legs and caused him to leap into the air to evade again and into the trap. Eiji had seen these three, while well trained, were fools. They were not shinobi now, only mercs, and had never been Sunan shinobi; the world's fiercest fighters. Eiji could see the picture as if it had been painted out by a masterpainter. This man was already dead, whether he knew it that moment or not.

With speed and years of deadly training, Eiji met the man in the air, his claw raised then came down through the man's hammer's shaft (he'd lifted it to protect himself but hadn't been expecting that his steel weapon was nothing to Eiji's diamond hard and razor edged crystal claw) and cleaved the man in two from head to groin. His bone and meat alike were as soft butter, giving way to the powerful hidden strength behind the reckless fighter. This was the foundation of the annihilation attack.

To his back, Satsuma had removed the heads from his opponents. Eiji missed the action, his eyes away from the scene. It was good for him because as he landed and turned around, his rotten beloved was facing him, two huge gashes at his waist and chest. The two heads of his opponents were in his hands but fell away as the strength of his muscles turned to ash. A faint smile, the words 'goodbye' silently formed on his lips and finally he fell, landing in a broken heap on the floor.

Eiji winced and smothered down the pain that threatened to surface. He would deal with those feelings later.

With all enemies dead, except for the pyro, Eiji pivoted on the balls of his feet. Fresh blood of the split hammer user dripped down his face. And although he was growing tired and his body betraying him, he stood with the outward strength and conviction of his charge. "I'd run if I were you. Shes not worth your life." he said, his voice cracking slightly. Hopefully it went unnoticed.

The pyro's body was still in the ready position, but his eyes faltered. He saw the carnage, he could see this was his life in the balance. He was the strongest of his men, but he was alone.

Sensing his hesitation, Hanabi rose from her chair and pointed a shaking finger at Eiji. The excitement was gone from the drug-lord, replaced by fear. It was impossible, what he'd done. SHE had seen he's raised the dead, she saw her entire expensive guard laying dead in heaps on the floor. Her voice was shrill as she commanded, "I paid you! I paid you a ton of gold for this! Protect me! Kill him!"

Eiji shook his head while forcing his legs to move forward and glanced at the hall behind the throne. The man looked torn for a moment, then he turned and ran, disappearing and left Hanabi alone with her two cowardly companions and Eiji. Outraged, she waved her hands wildly at Eiji and threw herself back into the over-sized chair. "Get away!" Whatever help the last two men were going to provided ended as the jounin withdrew two kunai and embedded them into their skulls.

Their bodies fell limp as all the rest. Hanabi did the only thing she could think of.. she started to cry.

Tired, feeling his mind wavering Eiji completed a last, single jutsu and bound the woman from head to toe. She fell from the throne in thump and ended up face down on the ground.

Weakly, Eiji turned away from her. She would wait there for him. Eiji brought out his headset and slipped it over his head. There was a lot of blood in his hair... He flicked it on and walked over to Ikkadan's crumpled form. Kneeling beside him, he touched the boy's neck to check for a pulse. He was alive. That was good..

Alright, medic headset number was what, 9? Switching it over, Eiji waited for the static to come in clear, then pressed his com. "Motomori Eiji calling into the medical facitily. We are in need of medic attention as soon as possible on site. We're located in the Grand Palais under the mission code: A658 J1." These codes could be looked up and the mission details found easily when the mission was under an A rank. This one had been received as a B-rank mission, though it CLEARLY ended up being S rank. He completed the call with, "I'm badly poisoned, I'm not sure by what but it's taking a toll. And my teammate is burned badly, unconscious and almost dead. There are also.. 12-3.. 6 dead, one captive and one seriously injured enemy mercenary. Hurry the fuck up... please." Weary, he pulled the headset off his head and tossed in on the ground, right beside the place he dropped to. He couldn't stand anymore and since he would just have to wait for assistance. There wasn't anything he could do for Ikkadan either, so he turned his head and stared at Satsuma's body.

Several minutes passed, just looking at him. He missed him so badly. Those feelings were beginning to swell up in him, dark painful memories and pain. He wanted to bury him but he couldn't. His body would tell the tale of his forbidden skills and he couldn't have that. With shivering fingers, he created a last acid jutsu and threw the wave over his ex-lover's body. It was potent and harsh; it melted the body to nothing in under a few seconds. Unable to bear it, he curled up on the floor beside Ikkadan's body and blacked out as well.

The scum of Grand Palais would look up from the shady dealings as they spotted the red motorcycle driving through it's streets, followed by two carriages marked with the symbol of the Medical Tower. Chief Med-nin Iori would be riding on the machine, his silky red hair flying behind him as he made his way to the coordinates of Eiji and Ikkadan. The beggars and drugrunners would all take their leave as they stopped before a shabby building, the man motioning to the people of the carriage that they had arrived. As he dismounted the bike two squads compromise of med-nin and 4 ANBU would leave the carriage, following the Chief's lead into the building. They would soon find their way downwards through the building, soon emerging into a large room where an a chaotic battle had taken place, a smirk crossing his lips as he surveyed the chaos, a smirk that widened when he spotted the two Suna nin within.

"You three, tend to that one over there, and you make sure he doesn't try anything." He would motions towards three med-nin and an ANBU, the four quickly moving to the mercenary. "You guard the door, you two take the prisoner and transport her to Palace. Everyone else you're going to help me fix our friends here." He would give out his commands before moving towards Eiji and Ikkadan. "Motomori Eiji, I presume? And, oh my, what do we have here? If it isn't Ikkadan? Such a small village we live in!" He would laugh, as he knelt besides Eiji, checking out his wounds as the other Med-nin tended to Ikkadan. "This doesn't quite seem like it was just an A-Ranked mission." He would chuckle as he began to heal Eiji's wounds with his jutsu, identifying his poisoned status and removing the vile concoction from his blood with another one, looking up at one of the other Med-nin as they approached him with details about Ikkadan once he was done. "Well! It seems we got here just in time then! Any longer and you may have had a tragic story of being a sole survivor!" The man would say with a smile as he moved to check up on Ikkadan, hands beginning to heal the wounds on the boy's body.

The world had fallen into darkness, and Ikka's mind drifted away from the crispy sensation that ridged his skin together as uncomfortably as possible. Was this the end, but really, the end? There have been a few times where the boy had met with death's utterly horrifying embrace, and each time he was completely devoured in his own disbelief that he was going to die. But what would make this time any different?

Nothing, Ikka was already past a point of recovery - or so his subconscious would think, at least.

However, the light of life was not so easy to be extinguished, and with a sudden flare of hope; his eyes separated and they settled, hazily, on the numerous corpses within the room. Eiji, the now collapsed leader, was reared beside the boy and the strange man that had appeared towards the end of the battle seemed to be gone. Obviously, due to his condition, the boy wasn't able to see the corpse of Eiji's lover and its condition, frankly, his mind was far too bewildered by the fact that he was still awake to some degree. But what was that noise echoing from the distance, movement? No... What if one of those men were still alive, or they had reinforcements, what could Ikka and Eiji do in their current state? Softly, the boy moved his crackling hand, trying to awaken Eiji from his slumber, but even the slightest tension applied to moving his fingers caused his singed flesh to split and for a transparent liquid to seep out from the wound. It was similar to having a blister, except this 'blister' covered his entire body.

The clutter of distant footsteps lulled him to a half-comatose state, where one eye struggled to stay open and other decided to give up the fight. However, the pain from his singed flesh gave him a relief from sleep, a constant burdening child that deprived a parent from its much needed sleep, that's what the burning sensation felt like: pure and utter frustration, and agony, of course.

The clatter of footsteps got close, too close, and suddenly their scurrying paws were given voices and those voices were familiar, well, one was. One of the noticeable voices was Iori, Ikkadan's uncle, and a man he hadn't seen since the boy was injured by him that fateful night. But that didn't matter, Ikkadan was dying and Eiji was in a dire state too. The boy's nose twitched at the smell of 'hospital' that the men carried with them, which was refreshing given that the majority of scents within the room were either: burning flesh, blood or just a pain musky odor from the damp walls. "Iori..." His raspy voice reached out to his uncle, eyes now completely shut, "Do you think... I impressed Eiji...?" A smile would creep along his face as he crouched, the med-nin assigned to him just reached the boy as his head bonked forward and he left this world for the time being.

Iori would have, by this point, already approached the boy and began to treat him but his skills were needed in order for him to survive. Ikkadan wasn't ready to die, he was only a boy and even by life expectancy of a shinobi; this was an age far too young to be leaving loved ones behind. Keep on fighting, young pup...

Inside his unconscious mind, he relived the battle. Each attack was slowed down, exaggerated. The blood of each man sprayed over his body as he killed him and smothered him. It was drowning him. But that could be from the poison in his body, though what translated into dreams was a sensation of underwater.

The one man's neck was slashed out, he could vividly see the veins and his open trachea, the gurgling blood and death closing in. His mind created a family sitting at home; a plain wife and two fat children crying over the news that he wouldn't return home and some horrible Sunan shinobi had mercilessly ended his life.

His mind turned over again, seeing the images of the other men, the hammer foe and how he was separated into two pieces like a pig from a slaughterhouse. Both ends ended up hanging on meathooks in his mind and were marked as fresh pork and bacon. He was to be shipped to Mist and fed to the Mizukage.

There was a melted leg too turned into soup he was told to eat, but he didn't want to. The chef insisted, reaching out to touch his face. "Come on now." the familiar voice said. He looked up and saw Satsuma's face, bloody but smiling. His beautiful smile. It was the best part of him, it made his handsome face, remarkable. His heart hurt and he tried to reach out to him, the soup vanishing with the rest of the dream... It was slipping away from him as consciousness returned to his body. His face was almost gone from view...

Eiji shot up from his place on the ground, coming to his feet as nimbly as a cat. His hands reached out to the person in front of him, who happened to be Iori tending to the fallen Ikkadan, and grasped onto his sides of his face, turning him to face him. "No, don't leave me again!" he shouted, his voice cracking. In his hazy state, he was still seeing Satsuma's face. It only lasted a second or two before his vision cleared and was replaced by the real image. He found himself latched onto someone he didn't know, looking foolish.

Just as quickly, he let go and fell back onto his ass on the floor. "Shit.. sorry..." he murmured, feeling embarrassed and angry at the same time. Angry was good, it kept the other pains at bay. To try and fix the situation, he said, "Is he okay? Ikkadan, I mean. Will he survive?"

"Kid, considering the amount of dead bodies in this room, I'd have to say you did." He would chuckle as he healed the boy along with a few other med-nin. He was badly injured, but it's nothing he couldn't handle. Eiji had gotten up at this point, seemingly feeling better after his more major wounds were healed. The man would smile as he looked at him, nodding. "Don't worry about it, the boy is tougher than he looks. We'll take care of what we can here before transporting him to the Medical Tower." He would say as he looked back at Ikkadan, narrowing his eyes as he noted something on his hand. Bringing it up to his eyes...was that a seal? Reaching into his medical bag he would take out a camera, taking a few pictures before standing up and looking towards Eiji. "You're gonna have a hell of a report to fill out when you get back. Before that though you should come to the Tower with us so I can give you a more thorough examination. We don't want that fine body of yours to scar, do we?" he would ask, teasing him with a wink before turning to issue orders to the mednin to take Ikkadan to the waiting carriages.

Eyes shut, mind closed off to the inevitable doom that panned against his soul like an angry salesman. Ikka had gone, although not dead yet, it was thanks to the medical intervention of his uncle that allowed the boy to live on. However, he was only placed in a deep sleep, a sort of mechanism brought on by his body; which made dealing with the pain much more tolerable. It was a rare, and almost extreme situation, so it was only by sheer luck that his body reacted the way it did, lucky eh? The seal given to him by his adoptive parents would grow, illuminate almost and reveal its body for a few minutes. It was of a strange design and its energy was even stranger, an unusual thing to occur for such a usual boy.

Iori, upon seeing this, would take photo graphs as evidence from a camera - was that the best move, really? Did he really want to draw his attention away from treating a patient... Oh wait, he was the medical chief, he was probably far too confident that his skills would almost certainly 'pay the bills'.

But then, something peculiar happened, on the edge of his mind-abyssal the boy's fragmented body would hover motionless among a cityscape of stars and gas-like nebula's. His shattered skin, broken like glass, would begin to retract towards his body and join up like a very important jigsaw. Perhaps this mental manifestation of the boy's condition was another coping mechanism, but what happened next was something that his mind did not account for. The boy, hovering gently, would open his eyes and feel the skin press of a man's touch.

His heart would flutter momentarily and his skin would breath with a tingling sensation. This touch, this feeling; the love that went into such a simple, insignificant gesture... It wasn't for Ikkadan, he knew that much, but the gesture got to his unconscious self non-the-less. As time past on, the boy's health would be slowly picked back together, and his body transported for further treatment.

[Topic left w/ Iori and Eiji. I think I'm going to two different topics here~]
[Awesome topic!]

With his wounds mostly taken care of and the poison removed from his body, he felt himself ready so move forward once more with his mission. Ikkadan would need to be brought to the medical center and could not come with him. He was decided to see the boy later, to check on his wellbeing.

For now, he collected himself. He was still covered in blood; some his, most of it not. He roused himself, and made sure to thank the medical chief, "I would have died without your aid, Im sure of it. Thank you for your prompt arrival." and once it was done, he turned away, heading toward the men taking Hanabi from the ground.

He raised his hand at them and spoke with authority, "I am well enough to handle this bitch. Be on your way." The few that were holding her stopped then nodded to accept his word and held her out to him so he could take her by the arm. She was still bound tight.

However, before he took his leave, he retrieved a jar from his pouch and moved to the place where Satsuma's body had fallen. Nothing was left but a sort of muck. Without expression, he knelt down and scooped up as much as his jar would hold then stoppered it. It was all he had left and he would bury at least that much.

With strong purpose and resolve, the jounin returned to the drug boss, took her by the neck and arm and hauled her toward the exit. He would intend to leave with her except for one thing... his one lose end.

Pausing at the now bound man's side, the one with a single leg only, Eiji moved quickly. He knew it was probable he would find repercussion for his actions, but as he was swift and the medics surrounding the man were not expecting it, he pressed a two crystal claws to the man's neck, finding his jugular and pulled, tearing right through his flesh. The act severed it in two places so they would not be able to save the man before he bled to death then dragged Hanabi out before anyone else could detain him for his act. The medics nearby would hurry to try to staunch the blood, but there would be no use. Eiji's secret was safe... save for two. The one in his arms and the one burnt on the ground.

He would deal with both when the time came. First... Hanabi.
