Delayed due to the small diversion of Hoshikata's trip to Moon, Haruka was more than in a hurry now. The ships journey just to Moon Island had been unreasonably long. The ships path had cut through the treacherous pass of icebergs and nearly impassable winds brought from the west as the howling sorcery of ice and snow barked at their backs from Water country. The temperature soon became a sweltering heat as they hugged near the coast of Wind country for the beginning leg of their journey. By the time the brig was squeezing between the peninsular country of tea and Snake Island, Haruka was ready to swim for Lightning.
How disappointed she was to find that their journey would be delayed by one day because of Hoshikata's business in Moon. She had no right to ditch him, as she was charged with watching him until they returned to Lightning. Honestly how much damage could he do now that his godlike powers had been sucked from him? Haruka actually couldn't answer that question, unable to believe that just so easily as he dove that just as easily his powers left. As a dutiful shinobi, she would observe and wait for something to confirm her suspicions. But while docked in the port of Moon Island, Haruka would play the part of pissed off girlfriend. She decided to sulk in the boat, even after Hoshikata asked her to come ashore and stretch her land legs. When Haruka peered out the barnacle covered port hole in the lower deck where her quarters were, she almost swore she could see the edges of Lightning country taunting her from across the sea.
But, that was a few days ago and the spoiled Spymaster's annoyance had died down because now she could actually see the beginning of her country form on the horizon. Daringly she leaned over the edge of the bow, breathing in the salty mist of ocean spray as the brig sliced through the gilly green waters. On the northern wind, the smell of Port Cirrus city carried its dry scent of barley grains ready to be shipped and musky notes of special Kaminari wine crafted only in this particular section of the country. Not to be mistaken with the even more famous brand of Kelmura wine crafted from vineyards that were centuries old and heavily guarded by the shogun's own army.
So nearly close to the gates.
