Aoi has never been on a mission before, nor has he had to travel this far before on his own. The morning before, the young boy has been extremely excited about receiving his first mission that he started cooking something special for his caretaker. The last recipe scroll his mother gave him contained an exotic recipe as well as a summoning seal that gave him the necessary exotic ingredients. It contained some fungi and herbs whose name he can't even pronounce, and he hasn't even heard before. It took him a good while to make the exotic recipe as it contained a lot of steps and some words he can't even understand. Maybe it was his father who wrote the scroll as his mother had very good handwriting. As for a fact, he had never seen his father write anything down, whether this was to bad handwriting or he just didn't think he needed to, he would never know. When his parents come over next month, maybe he will ask them. For now, he will keep this in his stash of recipes. After cooking, he and his caretaker had an enjoyable meal but he noticed she had a scroll next to her plate and it wasn't even opened.
"What is that?" he inquired as Benjiro Shirohime, his caretaker, continued wolfing her meal down. Sometimes he wonders how Shirohime had lived before he started cooking for her. Although, there are also times he wonders why he learned cooking faster and better than this 30 something caretaker. But first things first, what is that scroll?
"Its for you. Its probably your first mission." She replied in between food but then she started choking. He quickly stood up and started caressing her back like his mother did to him whenever he started choking on his food. Hime thanked him and gave him the scroll. He returned to his food and placed his scroll next to his plate. He stared at the scroll and started fidgeting. He was nervous. What if he messed this up? What if he was nowhere skilled enough to complete this mission? What if this mission really is too hard for him? He started choking on his food, a little at first but it got progressively worse. Hime shook her head.
"What'cha chokin' for? At your rank, the worse you could get is scrubbing toilets, you silly goose." She said as she threw part of her food at him, which he aptly dodged. They both laughed. She was right but it doesn't stop his nervousness altogether. He really appreciated her for that though. Slowly, he opened the scroll and gave it to her. She read it out loud and laughed at him for being such a ball of nerves. He got all red and just looked down while she just kept laughing.
