Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Jien walks along the same traveled path towards the gates that overlooked the mountain pass. Reading about history, he had learned about the great lore that brought about this gate’s name. Something to do with Shinbatsu slaying a dragon and the latter fell on this mountain. In due time, what was left were its skeleton, to which this great mountain pass was in fact carved by the great fangs it owned. But all that was left were tall ridges and a giant gate that officially marks the territory of Kumogakure. How much of it could be true – he didn’t know, but he’d rather think of such possibilities than to close his options. He was known as a dreamer, and perhaps it had something to do with magical memories he held, as well as how much of an optimistic he was.

And this time, the adventure he would be undertaking would not be a lonely one. The day before, he was a bit worried. It wasn’t something he thought he could do, but then it proved far more safer if she did accompany him, than for him to leave her be. No one knew how long he would be away and who knows what other reactions she might show. From his brief observations, he had seen how dependent she was at him. He didn’t want that, but to suddenly leave her be when she was quite fragile as is was in bad taste. Thus, he stopped on his tracks and glanced back to watch the girl who was following him – “his little sister”.

To say that Kei was unamused would be a gross understatement of her true feelings. Brother, the person who had promised to always be with her, had tried to abandon her and that hurt, hurt deeply. Like getting cut with many tiny swords. After they had left Torre Celeste Kei had stuck to Brother like glue, not allowing him out of her sight for more than a few minutes. She had even waited outside of the bathroom for him. Having him leave her behind was not an option he could have. Now they had reached the beginning of their next journey. She had no name for the area they were standing in, but she didn’t think she would soon forget the spot. The land felt old and endless to Kei, it was as if she was standing at the top of a bottomless well only a quick movement from falling in. This was an extremely uncomfortable feeling, one that she wished to get away from as quickly as possible. Moving to stand directly behind Jein, she reached out a hand and used it to hold on to his parka hiding behind him. She would have spoken to fill the silence, but here, at this place, it felt wrong. Brother said they needed to wait for another person to come let them out. Her only hope was that the person would arrive soon. The place was not one where she wished to spend much time and once they left she would not be keen to return to it anytime soon.

Akame, Kikai

Profile

Revealing herself from behind a small hut, one that served as a booth for those employed for the day to observe the main-entry. Kikai, a woman that in-spite her age carried herself with incredible fortitude and an air of militaristic-worth. Each step she took was defined, resolute and clacked with assurance that it was exactly where she needed to be. Having made due approach towards the two eagerly awaiting their permission to depart.

Upon closing the distance, deep violet eyes examined the two with careful precision of their details. Taking in each scratch, the shape of their eyes, height, weight; all as if they were under microscope. "Jien, and Kei is it?" Having finally spoke, her vocal tone was sharp; but carried years behind it. "Well- Passports then." Declaring their required steps for them, her right palm extended outwards and awaited their documentation that would grant them departure.

Once the documents were reviewed, recorded in the docket for the time of departure, their names, their attire afore them leaving and any number of minute details. Kikai would clap the passports closed, offering each of them back to their respective owners. "Well, good luck then. Come back alive you two." She adjusted her hands and rested them to her hips. Observing them up until they departed through the gates that had just revealed passageway for the two.

As Kei finally caught up to Jien by the pass, he felt grab him from behind. A smile went over his lips as he reached out a hand to pat her head. “Don’t worry. There’s nothing scary here… unless, of course, dragons start falling from the sky or the undead sprouting from the ground to grab at your legs…” He let his voice trail for additional effect while glancing at her. If there was something he learned recently, it was that while he was trying to raise her, he found a bit of charm in the way she was so clingy that one night when he pretended to scare her, she acted so cute that it made him want to tease her all the more.

Ah, but the teasing had to stop as the gate keeper would appear. She was a fine woman, commanding authority in all of her moves and words. Upon her request, Jien would bring forth their passports and show it to her. He still kept a hand on Kei’s head, to give his sister an assuring touch, but his gaze was now fixed with seriousness as he looked over the woman. He always carried a different side to him whenever he mingled with anyone from the village authority.

Luckily for them, the woman didn’t ask too many questions and after a brief while, stamped at their passports and allowed them to leave. He bowed in gratitude before he lead Kei pass the opening gates of the pass. Their adventure was about to start.

Kei smiled weakly at Brother’s attempt to comfort her. It was a nice thought but since that wasn’t what she was afraid of it was lost on her. It did make her love Brother even more though. Instead of letting go she simply pulled closer to him, snuggling against his back. “I don’t like it here,” she whispered quietly. Before Brother could respond a women came out. She felt like steel in Kei’s spin, forcing her to straighten out. When the women asked for her passport she gingerly held it out. The women was scary after all, but Brothers hand on her head made her feel safe. It took a little bit for them to officially be allowed to leave and every second was a second to long. Finally she heard a resounding slam onto a piece of paper. They could now leave. Their next adventure was about to start.
