It had been not so long since his Byakugan acted so strange… it was still emitting random, bright-white light, and he hadn’t been able to activate his normal Byakugan in a while. However, due to having time to observe it, he came with the idea that this was probably a new level of Byakugan… and if his source wasn’t wrong… then this could be a developing Hakumei Byakugan. For now, he hoped that to be the case, and that it would be complete as soon as possible…
Time always felt like standing still when travelling across the Land of Lightning. The only moments when the wheel of time spun was when a random bolt hit the ground nearby. Otherwise, the clouds covered the sky 24/7, and night and day seemed to overlap each other a little too much. In the past, Hon usually had no issues telling the time like anyone else; just look at the sky and see if it’s bright or dark, then you’d know if it was day or night. Today, however, it was different; the clouds’ pitch-black shadows dominated Earth’s roof and made it seem as if it was night-time all the time. It was very apparent that winter time was coming…
To summarize today’s case; a group of shinobis had disappeared in the middle of a journey to one of the large villages up north. Their help was needed due to the cold, dark season slowly taking over, and the crops were unusually late to bloom. Now, because of said people’s disappearance, it felt inevitable that a huge production of food and cattle would be lost for the year. Therefore, two shinobis had been sent to find out what happened to the previous shinobis sent there - whether if they were dead or alive was a mystery. At this point, anything could’ve happened to them.
Hon was donning a white, traditional Eastern t-shirt and black kung-fu leggings. No mask, none of that ANBU starter package today, he was operating with a more open atmosphere… it was also because of his company, a shinobi under the name Kagetsu Ryu. Hon was grateful to have some back-up for this, because what would prevent him from disappearing as well?
A hand was held up to signal that he would brake in the middle of the rocky crater that they had to travel through. They would have to prepare a camp here for the night, and it would also function as a checkpoint for when they had likely found the missing Kumonin. “Let’s camp here,” he suggested, “These boulders and rocks are hiding this area pretty well.”
