Flashback said:The feeling of crisp, cool air met Kaen's naturally unnatural hot skin as he entered the Omni Prime facility. Having just returned from the gates, as well as stopping by customs and migration, a yellow manila envelope was held in his off hand. After checking with reception he would walk down the tiled hallway towards the room where Chi was supposed to be recovering in. With a light knock on the door would slowly slide the door open and draw back the privacy curtain. Hopefully Chi was decent enough and was resting nicely in bed. Hopefully also finding some comfort and peace with her desert wounds healed, or well on their way towards it. "I have your immigration paperwork. It's mostly filled out, just needs a few signatures." Kaen would start as he entered the room with a smile on his face, keeping his promise to return to her after leaving her in the care of Dr. Tama.
Present day at the Shinku estate...
"Chikara!" He wasn't used to having to yell out for anyone's name, at least not here. Since it was built Kaen was the sole Shinku that resided in the large estate Lord Sousuke had provided for himself and his sister, Kasen. She, Kasen that was, had came in when it was finished, looked around for a little bit and promptly decided she would not be staying here and stubbornly kept her beach house. He was thoroughly convinced that it would take a small army to wrench that property away from her, and so he didn't fight it. He kinda enjoyed the quiet to be honest, or at least he did until recently. With Hato now living with him, or at least having a room to come to should he care to, made it not as eerily quiet. And now with the addition of Chi, there was no grim silence looming throughout the halls of his estate. Lavish lifestyles was never anything he sought after, but it was nice all the same. "CHI! Where are yo--." Quickly cut off by the sudden appearance of Chi's stark visage he would pinch the bridge of his nose. "For the last time, Chi, you can't just walk around the house naked. You understand that Hato, the nine year old, lives here too right?" Honestly, this cultural barrier was proving to be perplexing.
And then gears whirred to life, heavy clanking filled the air of the small room they were in. And then the door rose up into the ceiling revealing another, much larger, room. It appeared empty save for a large light source in the center of the room on the roof. Upon entering the door Kaen would press a few buttons on a keypad and a few of the sections of a nearby wall opened up to reveal a number of things. One, for instance, was a row of pristine, white masks that recruits often wore during their apprentice phase. Taking one from its place he would toss it to Chi. "
As his body slowly sank to the bottom of the room Chi's clones would assault him further, tiny rocks zipping through the water like tiny torpedoes. His body would be still for a few moments, seemingly unresponsive. But just before Chi prepared her next dastardly the water around Kaen's body began to bubble lightly, then slowly building up to a near boil. His power was rising, as was his anger. While it was one thing to be blind sided by an attack, but to add insult to injury with it being made of water? Chi knew just what buttons to push. Soon his rage exploded and the water around him began to be pushed back by the force of his own energy. As he stood a vengeful red hue emanated from his eyes as he stared daggers at his prey. Prey? No, he was fighting Chi, testing her for the Anbu. Thoughts like these kept trying to creep up from the inner recesses of his mind. Morisei would most definitely feel Kaen's intent, the craving to keep going until one or the other perished. But Kaen kept it in check for now.
ANYWAY!
