Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Overdue Homework [Open]

Otome had just finished smoking a cigarette away from the Academy before her radio began to burst with static.

"Otome, do you copy?'

She sighed before adjusting her headset.

"Copy," the kunoichi said with a tone flat with defeat.

"There's been a disturbance at the Academy, and we need you to investigate."

"What kind of disturbance?'

"We don't know the exact details, but eye witness accounts so far involve two students and a dog."

Otome pinched the bridge of her nose as she furrowed her brow and stifled a scream.

"You've got to be joking."

"Jesus Saito, I am not a damn babysitter!"

The operative communicating with her from his remote location scoffed.

"You're lucky you're not back at the academy yourself," he said coldly. "So be grateful you're still a shinobi, do what your superiors tell you to do, and for Raiden's sake, do not kill anyone! Do I make myself clear?"

A few seconds passed as Otome repressed the thought of running the man through with her blade.

"Copy that. Over and out."

Otome maneuvered her way through the streets of Kumogakure-no-Sato until she reached its prestigious shinobi academy. As she walked past a few students, she overheard them talking about an altercation in the cafeteria involving no other than two students and a talking dog.

"Well, that's great," she thought as she rushed to her destination, only to see a familiar face trying to wrestle with an over-sized dog.

"He's going to get mauled!" she worried in horror as she placed her hand over the hilt of her sword, stopping before grabbing it only because of the man's warning. Instead, she sighed and put on a display of false discipline as she marched through the crowd towards the two.

"Enough!" she shouted, dispersing the crowd somewhat. "What is the meaning of this commotion?"

Akio’s powerful muscle wasn’t to be swayed by Shouyu’s unenthusiastic attempt to shove him. “Careful boy.” Akio gruffed at Shouyu. The dog watched the boy run back towards where Komora had been going. Maybe it was her scent or maybe it was the fact that he knew Komora well, but he caught a glimpse of the girl as she slipt away unseen.

Komora knew how to hide when she wanted to be left alone. She watched Shouyu walk right passed her as he went down the path she had been walking. Another person came and began to address Shouyu about what the commotion was, but she too walked passed Komora without interacting with her. “Komora will make her own path..” she whispered to herself as she moved along with the shuffling student body out of the area.

[exit Komora]

Akio shook his head and trotted over towards the Trainee. He wore a serious face as he examined Otome from head to toe. She was beautiful as her body spilled out like a flood of curves, but Akio was a dog, and wasn’t in the least turned by the appearance of a human. He lifted an eyebrow at her as he looked over his shoulder at the academy students scattering from the cafeteria and then directly at her.

“Shouyu.” He broke eye contact with the girl and looked over the Hyuuga. “I just wanted to add, you walked right past Komora earlier.” With nothing more to say to the Anbu in Training or Shouyu, the dog returned to his original path and began to walk down the hall exiting the Cafeteria.

[exit Akio]

Shouyu tried to make his through the bustling crowd but to no avail. He had lost Komor, he gave out a defeated sigh. "She's... gone..." He was genuinely sad now. He turned around, hearing someone else shout addressing everyone. He sucked his teeth.

Shouyu made his way back to the center of the cafeteria to see who it was. He had come to realize it was Otome, from the coffee shop. He didn't think to see her again so soon, especially in a sticky situation like such. Shouyu walked up, seeing Akio walk away.

"Hey Otome, how's it going. It was just a misunderstanding between Komora and Akio. I may have let myself get to riled up but... Everything is fine here. Komora seems to have gone now."

He'd wave introducing himself, though his voice was soft and unenthusiastic. His eyes didn't even meet with Otome's, instead was focused at the ground near his feet. When he was finished, he'd force himself to look at Otome.

Otome frowned as Hoshi seemed upset about something, most likely the disturbance that occurred just before she had arrived. As he greeted her with an apathetic and weak tone and explained what had occurred as he looked down at his feet, she shook her head and sighed.

"I'll go look for your friend," she offered just in time to see him forcing himself to look at her. "For Raiden's sake, kid; you're starting to bring me down."

She sighed, discarding her facade of discipline in lieu of her typical arrogant behavior.

"Listen, Hoshi," she addressed him. "I can tell you've got the guts to do great things. But you also need the right mindset to push yourself as well."

She turned and gave a wave to him as she started walking away.

"Bottom line is: don't worry so much."

As Otome walked through the cafeteria, she noticed the dog from earlier. She wasn't sure how to interact or approach a talking dog, but she had no choice not to.

"Hey, Akio!" her voice boomed as she put on her false show of authority and discipline and marched towards the canine. Once she approached, she would greet the dog with a bow before speaking once more.

"I don't know what happened exactly, but Hoshi seems worried about Komora. Do you know where I can find her?"

[stopping Akio if rules permit]

Shouyu just shrugged off Otome's comment. She was right though, Shouyu looked away. She gave a bit of advice and a wave before walking away. He thought about it, "The right mind set?" He rubbed his chin and made his way to where Komora had supposedly exited, or so he once thought.

It sounded as if Otome was addressing Akio and Shouyu was sure she wouldn't get anywhere with that prideful canine. Komora and Akio both proved difficult for Shouyu to communicate with, but just when he believed to be understanding them individually, a good lunch turned to a big argument. He sighed.

He could only wonder, what he said, or what he did, maybe if he reacted different about this or that. He exited the cafeteria to get a breath of fresh air wth files his nostrils with the natural scent of Kumo's atmosphere. The air, was the most fresh and crisp, it cooled his body immediately. Shouyu took a seat at a near by bench, staring off into the distance in deep thought.
