Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

“So.. who are you?” those words… they stung, they stung so deep by the teen that he couldn’t even stay neutral. A click-like feeling happened by the teen as he stood there… His kunai dropped to the floor as he released the grip of it. “I am just a shinobi, on a rescue mission to get you and others out of here,” Ryota whispered, his heart hammering in his chest. She was too far gone already. That was bad… While trying to stay strong, he could feel the weight in his heart. This girl meant something to him, more than he wished to admit.

The girl flinched at the sound of his voice, her eyes darting to him, but there was no recognition, no spark of familiarity. The panic in her gaze was raw and unfiltered as if she had been lost in this hellish place for eternity. She cowered back, her trembling hands reaching for something on the floor. Ryota took a tentative step closer, his hand outstretched in a gesture of peace. “I am not going to hurt you.” He tried to speak ever so gently, trying to keep his voice from betraying the chaos of emotions that were swirling inside of him. “We need to get out of here… do you remember anything? Your name? How you got here?”

The girl’s eyes searched Ryota’s face, desperation and confusion mingling in her expression. She clutched at her head. “I-I don’t know.” Her voice trembled, barely a whisper. Ryta’s heart sank into his chest as he realized the gravity of her condition. He had to get her out of his nightmarish place before it consumed her even further. “it’s okay.” He tried to soothe her, trying to keep his own voice from betraying his feelings. “We’re going to leave this place together, I promise…” He offered her his hand again, but she recoiled, the fear in her eyes unyielding.

It took him a deep big breath to calm himself again, she looked so frail and vulnerable now. It was hard to not be overwhelmed by the need to protect her. The walls of the room seemed to pulse with malevolent energy, whispering of secrets best left undisturbed. Ryota's eyes darted around the chamber, searching for any sign of the cultist who had done this to her. The silence was deafening, the only sounds were their ragged breaths and the faint, rhythmic drip of water from somewhere in the distance.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper, offering it to her. "Do you know something like this?" It was a picture of a herb, the herb that he had gotten in the past. As if it was a trigger, she sat down in front of him, hugging his knee and her mouth open. Gritting his teeth, Ryota had to remain calm. “I don’t have any on me right now.” The girl lost interest as soon as that happened, going back towards the corner she had been in before.

It took him a solid while to get her to cooperate with him. He had given her a map, a map towards home.. at least that is what he had been speaking about. The girl stared at the map as if it were written in hieroglyphics. Her eyes searched his, looking for any hint of deceit or danger. Ryota's heart clenched, knowing he had to win her trust if they were to escape. He spoke softly, his voice filled with the sincerity of a thousand unspoken promises. "Look, I don't know what happened to you, but I'm not going to leave you here. We're going to get out of this place, together."

They moved quickly but cautiously, Ryota leading the way with his flashlight, the girl clutching the map like a talisman. The corridors grew narrower, the air colder, and the whispers grew more insistent. It was as though the very walls were trying to dissuade them, telling them that escape was futile. Yet, they pushed on, driven by a determination that grew stronger with every step.

The girl's eyes darted around wildly as if expecting the shadows to come alive and swallow them whole. Her grip on Ryota's arm was painfully tight, her nails digging into his skin. Despite her fear, she followed him without question, a silent trust forming between them like a delicate thread in the darkness.

Suddenly, the air grew thick with the scent of incense, and a flicker of candlelight danced on the walls up ahead. Ryota's heart skipped a beat. ’Fck’ The cultist he had been dreading had found them. He steeled himself, his hand instinctively reaching for a kunai. The girl's breath hitched, her eyes wide with terror as the figure of a man emerged from the shadows, his eyes gleaming with madness.

The cultist was tall, with a wild beard and robes stained with substances Ryota didn't want to think about. In one hand, he clutched a staff that crackled with chakra, in the other a book that matched the notebook he had found. The man's eyes locked on the two intruders, his gaze burning with a fervor that seemed to set the very air alight. "You shouldn't have come here," the cultist hissed, his voice echoing through the corridor. "This is sacred ground."

Ryota's muscles tensed, ready for a fight. He had no intention of letting this madman stand between them and their freedom. "We're leaving," he said firmly, trying to keep his voice steady. "You won't stop us." The cultist's laughter bounced off the metal walls, a cacophony of insanity that normally sent shivers down spines. "You think you can just waltz in here and take what isn't yours?" He raised the staff, the chakra crackling around it like a living entity eager to be unleashed. "You've seen too much, boy. You know too much."

[Fade to black, owly to lazy to type]

The girl remained in the half-sitting position even when Ryota came close. “Sorry, that took me some time.” He was covered in wounds, yet he still had priority over her. “I’m sleepy…” He heard her say…”Then sleep..” He spoke as he picked her up and took her on his back. This way he could still do something in case needed. She was light… was she always this light? He felt the weight shift on his back, knowing that she indeed had fallen asleep. Adjusting her a little he finally started to walk. He took precautions in case she did wake up, but from what he knew, she wouldn’t be the same. She already didn’t recognise him and in rare cases. People lost their full memory when they were recovering from the herb.

When he finally got back into the camp, he looked at the herbs, knowing that he too was weak for them, but because of her he had finally become clean and now she was suffering like he had. Anger… That was the sole feeling he was having right now, yet his heart and his brain were fighting. The only reason he stayed at the camp, taking care of her instead of raging on those people further, was her. He owed her.

Finally, back in the city, he knew a certain day was coming closer. His body was still sore, he would make a pit stop near the hospital. Dropping her off with strict instructions on how to handle the addiction and made sure that they would follow it. After all… He wouldn’t forget her, even if she did. Before he left the place, he looked at her. Hooked up to the machines. Brushing away a strand of hair and kissing her forehead softly. “Thank you…” He would speak before leaving her side… forever.

Back at the academy, he was found at a desk, making two reports… one for his brother and one for the academy how this mission had gone. To the one at the academy, he kept it short, making sure only that what needed to be stated was in there. But the one to his brother… It started with; FCK LOVE. All in capital letters. He spoke about how the mission went, where he found the underground compound, and failed to capture a jashin cult member. It ended with the information about the herb and there were multiple compounds, so this wasn’t the end. That he was worried and that he needed to talk to his brother. But why, he never disclosed.

This would become a troublesome topic…
