Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Place Your Bets: Rikutsuchi Miraku Vs Yamada Ao

((Clean 1000 yen intervals please))

All seemed well enough in the Hisashī Zenshōsen Arena, the stadium was packed with curious and excited onlookers looking forward to the spectacle. Some paid for luxurious box-seats, those had to cost more than a months wage for an active shinobi. Resting in most of them were the world's elite, drawn from their respective corners of the world to see the first tournament of its kind. Few truly appreciated how significant this demonstration would be for the victor -- every customer (and this is one of those rare cases where the businessman is the consumer) wants the 'best' product and in this case the commodity being bought and sold was human. Still, there were profits to be made, even here. That was what Ryou was here for, to make his fortune because there was more than one way to make his fortune in the flesh trade.

Part of the disbanded Midnight Crew, he was somewhat disenfranchised with the concept of shinobism as well as their crackdown on organized crime in Kurosawa these past few months. Cleaning the way for foreigner arrival they said. Bullshit. Still, an oppertunity is an oppertunity. This box seat cost him three months rent and change, the least they could do is let him smoke. He removed the No Smoking sign and left it in the trash can. the muscle at either side would be enough of a deterrence he reasoned as he lit the cancer stick set between his teeth. "Alright boys, time to make us some petty cash." he announced as he sat a lockbox on the table and a pad of paper to the side.

Continued from "Your favored demon won’t be able to withstand those hands... "

The aged folds around the bookie’s one good eye spread wide with a bit of excitement, and he revealed a toothy grin. He replied, “So it’ll be a good match indeed... Mister Yoake.”
The bookie was glad to take the first batch of coins, which seemed to flow from Kaji’s pouch without end until he clamped it shut. But even with Kaji’s first bet in place and the bookie was adding his wager to the ledger, Kaji remained at the window. “I’m not done yet,” he said.
“Ah, well tell me mister wise guy, where else am I placing the wrong bets?” The bookie had a smarmy grin now and one gold tooth amongst his lower incisors glimmered softly in the low-light.
“Put me down for another twenty-five thousand yen on Miraku Rikutsuchi… to win.” Kaji then slid another healthy helping of gold forth into the grubby bookie’s grasp. The bookie was really enjoying this too much, seemingly expecting the nationless rogues to come out on top. The look in his one good eye observed Kaji as if he thought he was developing some insight. He said “Ah, so you’re just going to be on all the Hidden Cloud fighters, then?”
“Not all” countered Kaji. “Miraku is a brilliant tactician capable of seeing any task through.”
“But you won’t bet on Kaji Okada? ‘Eh? There’s a small fortune going into that one!” The bookie’s eye shined as much as his gold tooth when he considered the money the house would make from that wager.
“No” answered the hooded Kaji, who was betting under the moniker of Yoake. “I don’t see the fun in betting on a match that’s already decided before it has begun… Kaji Okada must win.”
“Hmm… You Lightning-folk are an interesting bunch” answered the bookie, who became detached the moment Kaji hinted at more substance than the exchange of coin.
“The Cloud shinobi fight for more than your pleasure— the oathless mercenaries lack the resolve loyalty provides once the money starts running out. Mark my words; they’ll just cut and run.”
“You are so sure of yourself, Mister Yoake.”
“Always.”
