Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
While a class like this wasn't particularly what Kyo was into, and was quite the interruption from his usual classes, he was asked to teach the students basic ninjutsu and taijutsu skills. He had the choice between the two and Kyo chose Ninjutsu. Kyo chose to go to the arena for this class because using ninjutsu on a large scale would do bad-things to the school (that and Kyo's utter refusal to teach at the academy doesn't help much either). Standing to his side was a large direwolf that sat upon it's haunches and let out a big yawn. Turning his head, Kyo raised his hand up above his head to pet the massive wolf. "Don't worry, Dakota. I won't endanger these kids this time. But seeing them beat each other up should be fun," he said with a sharp grin across his lips.

Kyo sat in the middle of the Arena and yawned widely, not caring who all saw nor smelled his breath. "These kids need to hurry up, I'm getting bored waiting here," he stated with tears forming in his eyes due to the intensity of the yawn. This would be a small class for ninjutsu, learning that having a massive class, by himself, was stupid -- especially if the class was on practical skills. Since he had no intention of screwing around and making these brats fear for their lives, nor was able to teach them a harsh reality, this class would be cut-and-dry -- something that Kyo considered dull; like watching paint dry or grass grow.

Nagasuro Kibashi made his way to the Vespasian Colosseum, marveling at the surrounding architectures as this was his first time at this particular location. He had heard stories of the various events that had taken place in the amphitheater. Having just transferred to Kumogakure from Port Cirrus, the young shinobi in training was unfamiliar with the geography of the area, resorting to a map to navigate him to the area that his first class would be taking place. ”Ninjutsu, I have heard stories of the art but have yet to witness it. It will be an interesting learning experience” he seemingly told himself. He had brought about a notepad, intent on studying the art and taking notes of any and all lessons that the instructor would be teaching on this particular lesson. Kibashi was a devout student, having been extremely dedicated to his training and studies as many in his clan were taught to be. Information was important to become a knowledgeable warrior, and to be knowledgeable was to wield power.

The adolescent Academy Student wore his traditional black training attire for his training class. It consisted of his clan armor, a black Dō with an open midsection. The midsection was instead wrapped in a flexible leather armor, allowing for free movements during training as he was unsure of what type of training would be taking place today and it was best to come prepared he thought. A long black scarf was wrapped around his neck, wrapped in a way that allowed him to hide his mouth inside, seemingly giving him a more shinobi appearance in the process. Strapped to his waist was a well-crafted katana, sheathed in a beautiful black sheath, with no decorations at all.

His amber eyes adjusted to the scenery as he came across the designated are and what appeared to be the instructor and his massive furry friend. As he approached the man, he studied him carefully, his crimson hair and yellow eyes made him seem like the embodiment of dusk being reborn as a man. Similarly, they shared facial scores, though Kibashi seemed to have a few more scars across his face, likely due to his aggressive swordsmanship style. The massive dire wolf was with heterochromia, one eye yellow and the other blue. It’s red lines were beautiful, with Kibashi being an animal lover himself and wolves being his absolute favorite animal, the boy was awestruck at the beauty of the beast. The burning disk was interesting, Kibashi wondered if perhaps the beast was a contract summon or something else, never hearing of a wolf like this in all his studies. He was apparently the first student to arrive as he performed a well mannered deep bow towards his sensei, showing deep respect and admiration for his position. “Nagasuro Kibashi reporting for duty, Ryong Sensei” stated in an exceptionally respectful tone towards Kyo. The young shinobi has gone out of his way to figure out who his instructor was so that he could respectfully introduce himself once the time came to meet. After the introduction, he positioned himself in a seiza-style position, placing his katana horizontally in front of him, waiting for the rest of the class to arrive and instructions from his sensei.

Ryong Kyo-Moon. He read the name off of the paper, over and over, a feeling of excitement bubbled from the pit of his stomach and could be seen on his face. He took an interest in Moon-Sensei since their first mission together, his strange demeanor, hermit like social skills, huge direwolf, and without a doubt a massive amount of power that must be lurking deep within him. Yosuke always had a deep fascination to train with the best, and up to this point he has. Sheio-Sensei, a strange and boring man with incredible Genjutsu. Miraku-Sensei, one of the champions of the cloud, and a contender with the tournament at the tea. But non truly grasped his attention much like Moon-Sensei. There was just something about him...and maybe, just maybe he could help Yosuke become the strongest he could possibly be. So that one day, when he reaches that goal, his true question is answered. Why does he want to be a ninja? What’s his ninja way?

He wore his new training outfit for today, a tight long sleeve black shirt, with black tight pants to boot. He also sported a set of new fingerless gloves, exposing his fingers with padding around the knuckle. His uncle got him this as a gift, since his Genin exams would be coming up and he didn’t want to see his nephew, ‘Become a ninja in outdated fashion’. Yosuke treasured the gift, and this would be his first time sporting it, in honor of his Uncle.

The walk to the arena was a familiar one, he’s been living here with his Uncle for about three years now since he joined the Academy. Moving from Port Cirrus and leaving behind his family was a daunting task though, he missed them every single day, and they still wrote him every so often but it was much less than when the year started. It was probably getting busy around the shop back home. Not like he had much time to write back, he was never truly home. He was either with his two friends, or out training his Ninjutsu and Taijutsu in the woods for the upcoming exams. But one could never be too prepared, and for that he felt like this class could give him the extra push to assure him of moving on to the next level.

He stepped foot into the arena and his gaze met that of another boy’s who stood from a bowing position. He was much taller than Yosuke, with golden deep set eyes, and scars all over his face. It reminded Yosuke a lot of his own scars that he kept hidden behind the gloves, the ones he received through helping his family around the shop. He looked the boy up and down, his hands set deep within his pockets. Then he gave a soft smile, with friendly half sunk icy eyes, and calmly brought one hand out from his pocket.

“Shimamura Yosuke, it’s nice to meet you,” Once he shook hands with the new acquaintance that he didn’t see around the Academy much, he turned to look at Moon-sensei. But his smile quickly vanished and he cocked an eyebrow, noticing the color of his hair. Did he happen to misread the name on the paper? No, that can’t be. He has the same eyes, the same scar, and same damn direwolf.

“Hm,” Yosuke stared at him for a while, then gave a half, not so confident smile. “It’s nice seeing you again Moon-Sensei, I like the new...hair color.”

He turned to look at the direwolf, and nodded at it as well, “You too, uh...Dakota was it?” He asked with a laugh, scratching the back of his head.

Seikou's sandals clattered against the stone floor as she trotted through the coliseum halls. She checked the flowery pocket watch cradled in her hands. "Perfect." As her father always told her, a lady must never be late, but should ensure she is not too early either. When the young girl reached the specified arena area, she slowed to a delicate walk. Approaching the small group, she bowed deeply to everyone. "Good day. I am Nanjirou Seikou. Please treat me kindly." Lifting herself, she glanced to her two classmates. After examining their all black clothing, she looked down at her pink-hued kimono and frowned. Her worried eyes lifted to meet Kyo's. "I...hope there was not a dress code I was to follow Sensei. I did not see mention of such a thing in the notice." She gripped her hands together, her eyes close to watering until she noticed the majestic canine beside the teacher. She visibly perked up and a large grin spread on her face. So cute! She probably should have been afraid of such a large beast, but she had only ever experienced the tame dogs in the Seki district. Holding in a squeal of delight, she looked to her the other students, gave an encouraging smile, then returned her attention to the teacher. "I am ready to learn Sensei."

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
The students started to pour in to Kyo's boredom reaching it's apex. As the first child, Nagasuro Kibashi, entered, he would see a wide yawn come from Kyo's mouth while sitting near the massive direwolf at his side. Kyo smacked his lips together a few times and looked towards Kibashi for a brief moment without saying anything and stood up. An audible grumble came from the man's lips emanating from his gut. While the man seemed quite perturbed by the entrance of the child, he was washed over with relief as he could finally get this show on the road.

The child introduced himself and called him 'Ryong Sensei'. The word 'sensei' made him shudder, disliking the idea of the word. While he addressed Miraku his 'sensei' it just felt weird for someone else to call him that. Kyo waved him off, stating, "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait for the other pups to arrive," he said. He was trying to be kinder and gentler to the youth. The urge to curse at them and cut the formalities was a pain -- the same pain one would feel if they were powerless to stop something atrocious happening.

It was then that a pink-haired child arrived on the scene. Kyo's eyes looked over the child for a moment, having a memory of this child. Right! He participated in Kyo's first class where Kyo, Dakota, and 7 whelps (to also include a small puppy) endured some survival training. The class was originally meant to teach the children that nature, whether it could be bent to the whim of a human, didn't care about their survival nor did it cater to them. While he DID teach them how to build a shelter, the true intention was to display nature's raw power in the hopes that these pups could have a greater appreciation for the unforgiving mistress.

Something different about this rose-headed child stuck out to Kyo; not enough to elicit a visible reaction from him. Aha! His clothes had changed. Yet another person who decided to indulge in the ebony-colored clothing. Kyo turned his head with a yawn upon seeing this. Yosuke introduced himself to the other boy then turned his attentions towards Kyo. Kyo waved him off and grumbled out, in a rather nonchalant manner, "Happens when you eat a demon," Kyo said. Whether or not that sounded like horse-wash or was the entire truth was entirely up to the children to decipher. He wasn't here to babysit their mental faculties, he was here to teach these children to be efficient killers through use of ninjutsu.

Finally, the last student arrived. This time, the student was a young girl wearing brilliant colors as opposed to her male counter-parts. In terms of stealth, all three of these children got it wrong. Perhaps it was Kyo's romanticization of shinobi getting the better of him this time. Kyo was asked a question which snapped him out of thought and forced his attention back towards Seikou. "As long as you have some clothes on, you'll be fine. Don't wanna burn or freeze parts of your body you'll want later on," he said.

Dakota turned her eyes to see Yosuke and then Seikou for a moment and the corner of her lips raised to show her teeth. She did this in a similar dismissive manner to Kyo before standing up and walking away. She walked all the way to the edge of the arena and with a large leap jumped into the stands and tried to find a nice and comfortable place to lay down. This class didn't involve her but she was just along for the ride. She went everywhere Kyo went whether it be on a mission to even using the bathroom. Kyo turned to look towards Yosuke and Seikou and shrugged his shoulders. Oh, did he want to just insult the children! Restraint got the better of him. He'd rather not get scolded again for careless actions towards the students. This was, after all, a kinder/gentler shinobi training; not that Kyo could relate to such.

"Well, at least you are all on-time, so let's get down to business," he said before rummaging through his pouch and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. He pulled out a single smoke and with a little flick of his fingers, ignited the tip of his thumb to light it. He took a big drag of his cigarette and blew the smoke elsewhere. "Today's class will be on utilizing Ninjutsu. As you all know, there are several types of ninjutsu such as offensive, support, debilitation, barriers, and healing to name a few. This class, we will be focusing on offensive ninjutsu. Since, as shinobi, we need an effective way to deal damage to our opponent, if not kill them," he said before taking another puff of smoke from his cigarette and blew it out. He took a position near the children and looked towards one of the exits.

"You are all born with some kind of chakra buried deep inside of you. That chakra comes in elements. I'm not going through all of the elements as I don't care to," he said as he took another puff of his cigarette. "Once you've discovered that element for yourself, you'll be able to perform what's called 'Ninjutsu'. To perform a ninjutsu, you use your chakra and mix it with that elemental affinity and release. I have an affinity to blood ninjutsu, behold," Kyo said as he held out his right hand and with his dominant left hand, extended a claw from his fingertips and slit his wrists causing a massive amount of blood to pour out from his wrist. He formed together hand-seals and the blood that dripped from his wrists started to fly upwards into the sky for a moment before the arena started to rain with blood; Kyo's blood.

With a quick medical ninjutsu, Kyo healed the self-inflicted wound and looked back to the children as everyone, including Dakota started to have Kyo's blood rain down upon them. Dakota let out an annoyed series of barks before running away from the arena so she could clean the nastiness off of her. Unlike most people's blood having an iron-scent to it, Kyo's blood smelled of sulfur. It was certainly a graphic display of power, but it should get the point across. "You can control chakra in a lot of ways. You can do something like I just did or you could even summon a massive beast to fight for you. The key to using ninjutsu is using handseals. Handseals help properly control your chakra to attune to a certain element and to change it in such a way as to either weaponize it or make it useful for you."

Kyo then realized that he said this class was primarily on offensive ninjutsu only to use a support ninjutsu. "Oh, right, offensive ninjutsu," he said while still getting rained upon with his own blood. Kyo made a much smaller incision on his wrist to let himself bleed before forming together more handseals and sent out 8 bloodied projectiles through the air that continued through the air until they struck the sides of the arena. The once-solid material liquified. Blood jutsus were good assassin techniques, but they left a trace. They weren't nearly as lucrative as air or ice jutsu.

He turned to look towards the students. "Now see if you can manipulate chakra to perform a ninjutsu," he said, running his hand through his blood-soaked hair and then shook his entire body like an animal would, splashing even more of his blood around.

Seikou nodded excitedly as the teacher called for the class to begin. Her enthusiasm died a bit as he pulled out cigarettes and began smoking. Her father had warned Seikou about such negative drugs. She didn't completely get it though. If a shinobi could breath fire out of his mouth, why would breathing smoke in and out be any worse? Perhaps she could ask the redhead when the lesson was over. Returning her attention to the class, she pulled a small notepad from her fanny pack and began jotting down small notes. Her father had told her of the elements and healing jutsu, but hadn't mentioned anything about debilitation. When Kyo said he would only be focusing on offensive ninjutsu, Seikou made a small note on her pad. Ask Papa what Deebiltation is...and how to spell it.

The adult focused in on how chakra came in the form of different elements, but refused to go into detail. She couldn't stop her brow from furrowing in displeasure. Wasn't it the job of the teacher to explain what was needed to properly use the jutsu? She got more information from the textbook her father had bought her than this man. Still, there was more to the class, so he must have had something planned to help them learn.

But Seikou would never hear the rest of the lecture. Her body tensed at the sight of the teacher slicing his wrist, causing blood to spurt. While it made her queasy, she could have handled that much. She knew that a shinobi's line of work meant seeing a fair share of the red liquid, regardless of whether one was in the Main Branch or a Med-nin. But what she couldn't take was when the adult she was told to trust with her life rained his own blood upon the three students. She was stunned, frozen in place as red stained her clothing. Her body began shaking as the smell of sulfur assaulted her nose. Tears streaked down the nine-year-old's cheeks, disappearing as they met with the small crimson splatters on the ground. Without a word, she bolted for the exit. She could not speak for fear that she would be sick. Never again! Never never never! Seikou's life as a kunoichi had ended before it had even begun.

The rest of the class began making their way to the colosseum as Kibashi watched the instructor dismiss his attempt at mannerisms and respect. Fortunately, the boy had grown up with rather unorthodox teaching methods that normally results in physical or psychological abuse, as such he remained relatively unfazed at the instructor’s dismissive personality. His eyes remained eerily focused ahead of him, not a single muscle being moved as he awaited for the arrival of other students. The boy was abnormally disciplined, remaining completely still and keeping his focus completely forward until he finally closed his eyes. He began meditating calmly until his ears picked up the sound of footsteps from another arrival. It seems that other students were finally showing up to class.

The first arrival was a pink haired boy sporting a black training outfit of sorts. He opened his eyes at the newcomer’s arrival and his amber eyes met the pink boys gaze as he watched him walk up to him and introduce himself. The handshake was unexpected, perhaps Kibashi was a full of formality as he was unaccustomed to handshake, instead he was accustomed to the traditional bow towards all those he would meet. They seemed to be around the same age he thought, returning the boys handshake he nodded at the introduction and responded in return ”It is a pleasure to meet you Shimamura-san. I am Nagasuro Kibashi.” Once the introduction was in order, his eyes looked over to what seemed to be a young pink dressed girl coming into the class.

The girl seemed younger than both the male classmates as he stood up and gave a bow in her direction towards her introduction. ”Pleasure to meet you Nanjirou-san, I am Nagasuro Kibashi” he responded to the young girls introduction. She seemed to be dressed in a rather cutesy fashion, which seemed odd to Kibashi as he was unaccustomed to such outfits towards training sessions but he paid it no mind, not a single muscle in his facial expressions changing to show any kind of emotion towards the irregularity. Once introductions were complete, he returned to a seiza seating position.

Kibashi took notes as Kyo explained the class curriculum and the differences in Ninjutsu types. His eyes never left Kyo as he took notes, but somehow his notes were perfectly eligible and extremely well written with neat handwriting, a skill he had obtained during his time taking notes in stressful learning situations. Elemental affinities, he had yet to really delve into his own affinity as he only recently learned about his ability to mold chakra, as such he had in experiencing in performing chakra related tasks.

The young student was unfazed at the teacher slicing his wrist, he simply continued taking notes as he watched his instructor demonstrate control over his own chakra and blood. As the blood rained upon him and his fellow classmates, Kibashi merely closed his notebook to avoid his notes being ruined by the blood rain, a strange calm across his face as if the situation was completely normal, showing absolutely no discomfort in being showered in his instructors blood. Once the rain had ended, he opened his notebook and wrote down the words [Sulfur Scented Blood] as a note to himself to perform research on the strange scent he smelled from the blood, it obviously was not natural. Upon seeing the instructor use the blood offensively, he took more notes on how chakra had the ability to mold liquids into a solid substance, a truly remarkable feat, though his face once again lacked any emotion towards the rather interesting development. A very slight interest could be seen in his eyes however.

His attention was diverted to the young girl as she seemed to run off in a panic from the class. Perhaps these type of lessons were uncommon to shinobis he wondered? He seemed to take notes down to that as well, as if to remind himself that this type of behavior may have been unacceptable to society and that more research would have to be done on his part.

Once the instructor asked for a demonstration, Kibashi stood up unaware really of what to do. After all, he had never done Ninjutsu before, being a primarily Taijutsu using warrior. Despite his inexperience, he had already been reading textbook material on Ninjutsu and Genjutsu related techniques. He had been practicing one particular jutsu at the time after reading that it was a basic jutsu that most shinobi should learn. After performing the necessary handseals, he vanished in a cloud of smoke, a log replacing his location as he had performed the Body Switch jutsu. He returned to the area and return to his seiza position, sitting in front of his sword once again.

When you eat a demon huh?

Yosuke stared at the man, not knowing if he should take him seriously or not. At first he believed Moon Sensei was simply jesting, but his lack of social skills and sensitivity told Yosuke otherwise. He squinted his eyes at the man, then calmly shrugged his shoulders.

Yosuke nodded at the girl that introduced herself as Nanjirou Seikou, an absurdly short girl, even compared to himself. She was dressed in a colorful outfit, which threw Yosuke off. As a Ninja in training, it would be expected that you’d come prepared and a little less like you were going to a tea party. The confusion was clear on his face, with the awry smile, and the cocked eyebrow. But finally, the class was starting up, so Yosuke slid his hands back into his pockets and paid attention to the red haired man.

The smell of the cigarette smoke sent a shiver down Yosuke’s back. His love for fire, and the power behind it was stronger than ever recently. Little things like the smell of smoke or the sight of a burning fire would excite him, making him want to quite literally...burn things? The idea behind it was insane, the reasoning was none, but it didn’t change his urge one bit. There was something about being able to use fire that thrilled and disgusted him. His constant urge to burn things disgusted him, but the thrill he received when he was able to was awe-inspiring.

Yosuke’s eyes widened a little as he cut into his wrist, the sight was gruesome, but when he saw no real reaction to pain in his eyes he settled down. Unlike the other girl, who ran off screaming. That truly pissed Yosuke off. “Tsk,” He grumbled. Twice now he has met two future Kunoichi of the cloud without the mental fortitude to push through. Twice.

Was the cloud not supposed to bear the strongest future Shinobi in the known Ninja world? Were they trained under harsh conditions for no reason. Why is it that some of them were strong and resilient like the boy with the pup from the last mission, then there were those like the dress girl and Asami from before. If you can’t see blood, how can you kill your enemies if a war were to abrupt. How can you truly be a ninja?

He balled his fists, and watched as Kyo rained his blood upon them with unaffected eyes. Time to show his own mental fortitude. Similar to Kibashi. He was amazed by his use of blood jutsus though, especially when he turned it into an offensive attack rather than the trick of making it rain blood. But now it was time to show what he could do. He wiped the blood from his hair and eyes, mentally apologizing to his Uncle for ruining the training gear already, and took a deep breath.

“Time to show what I got,” He mumbled, stepping up and taking a deep breath. A smile formed across his lips and his eyes lit up in the same excitement he always had when he performed one of his fire Jutsus.

The hand signs were formed quickly, “Fire style,” His smile turned into something a little more maniacal. His true pyromaniac spirit uncaved itself, and with it came chakra infused breath of great proportions, “Dragon fire Jutsu!”

After the flames diminished he exhaled deeply, letting the bit of smoke that was left over seep out from both his nostrils and mouth.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
Kyo sucked air between his teeth as one of the students boisterously fled from the class. He placed a hand upon his hip in complete disappointment as he watched the girl completely flee from freak-out to the point they could no longer be seen. While it may be natural for a child to freak at the sight of blood, he didn't think that was the mentality of someone who wished to become a shinobi. The man shook his head and turned to look towards the other two students; children made of sterner stuff. Seeing the child flee only made one thought pop into his mind.
Oh, I'm probably gonna get my ass beat for that one!

He lamented as the children used jutsu. He turned to look towards the scarred child, noticing him using bodyswitch jutsu and annoyance struck Kyo. He specifically stated 'offensive jutsu'. But due to his own stupidity of using a support jutsu before using an offensive jutsu, he will give the child a pass. It seems Kyo will have to teach him, specifically, the art of several killing techniques; similar to how he taught Siu a killing art. Kyo bit his lower lip to resist chastising the child for now. His attention turned towards the pink-haired one performing 'Dragon Fire Jutsu'. Kyo nodded his head as he watched the fire jutsu cut through the raining blood, evaporating the red liquid. The sizzling sound could be heard as the blazing jutsu cut over the blood-soaked ground, filling the arena with a strange red smoke that smelled of sulfur.

The bloodied rain had stopped for a moment before looking over the two remaining students. He crossed his arms and nodding his head. "Good work," he said to both of the students, but mainly towards the pink-haired child. His eyes turned towards the scarred child and walked over to him. "That is a useful jutsu, but sometimes you will need to use an offensive jutsu. Offensive ninjutsu are more devastating than taijutsu; while it might take a little bit more time to go through handseals, the additional damage is worth it," Kyo said before there was a momentary pause. He used this time to wipe the blood off of his face and wiping away as much of the blood out of his hair so it wouldn't pour down his face.

"Ninjutsu is one of the best ways to kill your opponent. Don't have any expectation, that as a shinobi, that you will not kill anyone. Every shinobi, even that coward that fled, will be expected to kill someone sometime in their career. Whether it's a wasteful or a righteous kill," he said before clearing his throat. "However, you both did well to stay after using that jutsu. I hate to think how that child would react if they went against another blood jutsu user," he said before shaking his head, annoyed at the reaction of the child.

"That being said, I want you both to explain to me HOW ninjutsu works with the Chakra Circulatory System."

Unbeknownst to Kyo, this was Kibashi’s first attempt at Ninjutsu ever, he had only just recently learned about his ability to mold chakra and this was in fact his first class ever, his first day at the Academy since being scouted by the CPSS. He had absolutely zero experience in Ninjutsu, he had memorized and studied on the trip here from Port Cirrus and successfully attempted the jutsu on his first try. Apparently it was still not what was expected so the boy took notes about learning offensive Ninjutsu in time for the next class, though performing his first jutsu attempt ever, he should have been proud of himself but alas the boy had no concept of pride.

He watched Yosuke successfully perform a fire based Ninjutsu and took mental notes that the boy seemed a tad bit too excited to create fire in general. Perhaps he was a pyromaniac or simply enjoyed being more experienced in Ninjutsu than Kibashi himself. Regardless he looked back over to the instructor as Kyo made his way over to him.

Upon hearing his explanation, the boy didn’t so much as blink, not showing an ounce of emotion and began writing down in the notebook his instructors advice. Apparently his instructor had high regards for Ninjutsu, though this was not what he would specialize himself in. The Nagasuro clan were primarily swordsmen who served the Imperial Army and Navy, they had many years of refining sword techniques and this is what Kibashi had trained for the past seven years from his thirteen year life. The pride in his clan was strong, they followed the way of the sword and despite him being the first in his clan to train as a shinobi at Kumogakure, he would never abandon his roots. He had every intention of completely mastering Kenjutsu while using Ninjutsu and Genjutsu to branch out his skills and enforce his abilities. Nagasuro blood ran through his frame, nothing would allow him to abandon his clan’s ideals.

Upon Kyo requesting an explanation, Kibashi recalled the textbook where he had learned the Body Switch jutsu, remembering the explanation given. Kibashi was not only dedicated to his physical training, but the Nagasuro clan took their studies seriously, as such he was quite academically adept and learned quickly when studying. ”Ninjutsu are one of the three main jutsu categories used by shinobis. Ninjutsu primarily focuses on giving chakra a physical form as opposed to Taijutsu which is physical based attacks that may or may not be augmented with chakra and Genjutsu which focuses on applying chakra abilities that tamper with the mind. As chakra flows through the chakra pathway system, by performing quick and accurate hand seals, you can control the chakra in order to perform Ninjutsu.”

Yosuke nodded with a confident smile, as Kyo praised them or rather him, for their Ninjutsu. Yosuke prided himself on his Ninjutsu and Taijutsu, with intense training. He didn’t have the pleasure of being birthed into a clan, or being born with the tools to be a good ninja. His father, when he lived with his family, only taught him the basics before he came to the academy. Things like how to stand during a fight, how to handle a kunai properly, and the very basics of sword training with a wooden sword. He always did say that maybe one day he would give Yosuke the sword he treasured, the same blade that took the lives of many as he protected the Cloud as a member of the Imperial Army. A proud soldier back in his day, full of skill that Yosuke thought he over exaggerated on.

But for the last three years, Yosuke became strong basically on his own. Intense training since the training session with Sheio sensei, and reading the Academy’s books on fire Jutsus and their hand signals helped him discover new fire ninjutsus. He constantly attempted those jutsus until it finally worked, and that’s exactly what happened with the one he showcased now to long ago.

But then came the demand to describe Ninjutsu and the chakra pathways and that’s where Yosuke was slumped. For all of his fighting ability, his book smarts were lacking incredulously. “Uhm,” He scratched the back of his head and pointed at his fellow academy student, “What he said.” He shrugged.

He had a feeling that Kyo’s reaction to that response wouldn’t be a good one, so he sighed and tried explaining it the best he could, “Ninjutsu and Chakra flow all coincide. Without the chakra flowing through our chakra pathways, we wouldn’t be able to perform the incredible things we can do with our body. Like, breathing fire,” He referenced himself then pointed at Kyo, “Or be able to control our own blood in the form of an attack, or,” He pointed at Kibashi, “Switching your body out with a log in the blink of an eye. If we had that taken from us, we would be nothing more than an average everyday villager.”

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
Kyo listened to the scarred child's answer to what chakra was only for his lip to tug downwards in annoyance. The words spoken by the child sounded like it was memorized, verbatim, from a school book. Not only did Kyo not know how to read, but he didn't have that kind of memory; something he envied from the scarred child but didn't show it. "You're answer is boring. I guess that's what it is," Kyo said as he rolled his eyes a bit. He couldn't contest the answer, but the lack of feeling just put Kyo in an awkward position. He wanted to yell at the child for the textbook answer, but he couldn't since he did answer correctly. It was quite vexxing.[lb2][/lb2]
The pink-haired child then answered. One that was in more of his words. Kyo took a breath out and placed a hand upon his hip and nodded. "Sure, sure. Those were all right answers. Now the question I want to hear answered: what helps you form and use your chakra?" Kyo asked as he started to pace around the students. [lb2][/lb2]
"For me, using my chakra is motivated by instinct and the urge to kill," Kyo said as he turned around, took a firm stance and performed a series of handseals. Without saying the name of the jutsu, Kyo summons a giant hydra of fire bearing multiple heads. The great creature of fire let out a mighty roar. The heat from the massive creature of fire could be felt with a searing feeling upon Kyo's skin. Kyo raised his hand upwards prompting the multiple heads of the creature to spit out a massive ball of fire, resulting in an explosion outward, away from Kyo and the group. The explosion kicked up dust, vaporizing it on contact and throwing the super-heated remains towards Kyo and the children. The smell of the burning blood intensified, causing the fumes of the sulfuric blood to fill everyone's noses. [lb2][/lb2]
After the jutsu was over, there was nothing but dust, causing Kyo to wave the air in front of his face to stop the dust from entering his lungs. He did this until the dust settled, turned towards the children and took a deep breath out to compose himself.[lb2][/lb2]
"You need to find what helps you form your chakra and let it out into something devastating. Even for someone who uses Taijutsu or Genjutsu, some offensive ninjutsu is necessary since it's the best means of destroying multiple targets; in the event of dealing with clones and a horde of zombies," Kyo said informatively. He had issues with those two in the past, hence the reason he took up the art of Ninjutsu. It was out of necessity that he practiced ninjutsu. Now that he had absorbed demonic powers, having a weapon equipped does not hamper his ability to use handseals. [lb2][/lb2]
"Once you have answered that, show me something interesting. Something devastating."

”Favortism? the boy wondered to himself. It seemed the instructor spent the whole class leaning more towards Yosuke and his methods rather than Kibashi’s. If the boy was capable of jealousy, he would have experienced it. Fortunately, Kibashi was incapable of such emotions and instead noted the thought more as an analytical discovery rather than an inconvenience. Kyo seemed to be a rather strange instructor with his methods, lack of mannerisms, and slight mental imbalance though this was merely speculation on his part as he hadn’t had enough time to fully analyze his crimson blooded sensei. In terms of power and skill however, he was an elite and this was enough for Kibashi to make a mental note to continue taking his courses in order to syphon the knowledge from the Shinobi. The boy desired power and knowledge, and that lust for improvement was enough to let him ignore the idiosyncrasies of the sensei.

Motivation? That wasn’t something the boy could understand, the concept seemed so foreign that he took a moment to ponder the thought. Before he could answer, the crimson man performed a series of hand seals and created a colossal flaming beast before his very eyes. The roar followed by the blistering heatwave and sulfur scent felt uncomfortable to the boy, a hand being raised from the bright flames to shield himself from the light. An explosion caused the amber eyed child to skid back from the shockwave, the skid marks on the ground showing his original position and the distance he was thrust backwards. As sudden as the beast appeared, it seemed to have vanish, a strange almost lingering feeling from the rapid increase and decrease in temperature confusing the boys physical senses for a moment.

Kibashi had realized he had yet to answer the sensei’s question and now was being asked to demonstrate something of equal destruction. He lifted his hand up and looked at his hands, he hardly had any Ninjutsu experience and was being thrown into the den without any real instruction. The boy surmised that Kyo as an instructor could not be relied upon for actual knowledgeable instruction and instead would need to be analyzed and studied visually in order to gain any actual knowledge from the man. It was a tad bit inconvenient as he expected more experience and guidance from the famed Kumogakure Shinobi but it was simply that, an inconvenience, something that could be worked around.

”I have no such motivations or emotions. Such things are trivial in the battlefield. Fighting is simply something I am good at. I am a shadow, one that no light will shine upon. The art of death is all I have ever been taught, anything else is useless generic ideologies that people say to comfort themselves in the tragedy known as life.” He stated as he closed his eyes and dug into his instinctual mind, remembering any knowledge and trivia he read about. Was body switch all he knew? It seemed simple so he tried it, yes, perhaps there was another. He performed the necessary hand seals, chakra forming inside his lungs as he breathed out a pressurized mist of liquid particles, a hazy high pressure mist that created a fog around the boy, causing damage to the ground in front of him as it crumbled under the pressure and force. A water based Ninjutsu, the polar opposite of the scorching flames his sensei and classmate seemed to be inclined to perform.

Yosuke realized that Kyo seemed to be taking a liking to him. If not to him, at least to his methods. Kibachi on the other hand was getting some type of cold shoulder, a hint of jealousy from Kyo unknown to Yosuke at the time. Something felt off about this Kibashi boy. He was very monotone, distant yet still there. A weird aura was around him, and while it made Yosuke curious, he worried about offending the boy so he said nothing at all. Instead he just watched the boy from the corner of his eye, both strangely interested and slightly taken aback. The cloud truly did have some strange characters.

Kyo’s devastating jutsu caught Yosuke by surprise, his jaw dropped open and he didn’t get much time to react to his explanation of purpose when it comes to forming Jutsus. He formed a giant monster of some kind, crafted from nothing more than fire. His icy eyes mirrored the flames beautifully, and his pupils started to quake at the immense horror and beauty coming from the creature. The fireball that smashed against the earth forced him to spring an arm up to his eyes, and he got pushed back by the intense winds. But all the while his awe didn’t diminish, and after the dust cleared and the smell of the air hung around like smoke from a wildfire, he remained extremely impressed.

“My...reason?” He looked at his hand, and shook his head. He couldn’t find one. But when commanded to use a jutsu, naturally he sprung to action. This time he formed hand signals and casted a fireball jutsu, directed to a wall that crumbled under the immense heat.

The Chronicles of Kyo-MoonRelated Information
Kyo tilted his head when he heard the child didn't 'have any motivation nor had any emotion to speak of'. This caused the wheels in Kyo's head to start turning. Thoughts and plots started to swirl and calculate in his head. It was then that he saw a jutsu that he knew being used; pressurized mist. He nodded his head towards the child as a big grin came across his lips. "Very good. Now for your motivation, considering 'getting the job done at any cost' as one of your motivations. Ninjutsu is a powerful tool so use it well," Kyo stated before turning his attention towards the pink-haired student.[lb2][/lb2]
Then the child responded with a question and then saw the fireball destroy a wall. This could be interpreted in a myriad number of ways, but Kyo simply took it as meaning 'he wants to destroy stuff'. While that isn't something Kyo would frown upon, because destroying things could be quite therapeutic at times, it wasn't really what he was looking for. "Uh huh," [lb2][/lb2]
Kyo slapped his hands together and then made the gesture, shooing them off. "You two need to go home and think about your motivations and what drives you to use your chakra. I'll be teaching a class on Taijutsu in a couple days. You two are welcome," he said before shooing them off once again.

Yosuke gave a slight nod when he shooed him off, and gave one final wave. At him, Dakota, and even Kibashi. He had a lot to think about, a lot to go over about himself and his motivation. So he stumbled off, covered in blood, and deep in thought.

The instructor suggested for the boy to use some form of motivation, however experience taught the young man that things were best if he simply remained disciplined. Motivation was overrated to him he thought. With a slight nod, the boy picked up his blade and wrapped it around his waist. Bowing down to his fellow classmate and sensei, the boy made his way back home.
