Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Doi had finally become a Genin ninja of Kumogakure, and he felt great. The jump in rank from academy student to Genin had the potential to bring about many amazing opportunities. He could learn more jutsu and go on more missions than he could before is increase in rank. Not having to listen to boring academy lectures was also a plus in his opinion. All that was left for Doi to do now was await further instruction. He hadn't been informed if he'd even be on a Genin team yet, which was a bit strange. Maybe the higher ups in Kumo took note of his amazing skill and realized a prodigy like him would just be held down by a Genin team? He knew it was just wishful thinking, though. He was far from being a prodigy by anyone's standards. The only things that truly made him stand out from the others at the academy were his magenta lightning, and his ability to quickly analyze battle situations.

He was currently walking around the Susukino district and checking out the various shops that were in the area. Doi has visited the Susukino district various times in the past and various items have caught his eye, but he'd never been able to buy anything. He'd always forget to bring any money with him. Not this time, though. Doi made sure to bring money this time, so he could buy anything he wanted.

Nakamura clothing store would be his first destination. Doi knew he could always find something he'd like there.

Re: [Private/PM for invite] Walking Around

Upon entering Nakamura clothing store, Doi immediately made his way towards his favorite section. The section where all the hoodies and sweaters were located. Many wouldn’t be able to tell that Doi was a hoodie enthusiast from the way he was usually dressed. As much as he loved a good hoodie, he didn’t feel comfortable wearing them in battle, as he felt it restricted his movement just a bit. Doi was well aware that any handicap in battle, no matter how small, could prove fatal.

Out of the corner of his eye, Doi caught the sight of an all black hoodie with an interesting design on its back. The design was a caricature of a lightning bolt and what’s more, the bolt was the same color as his unique lightning chakra; magenta. Doi took the black hoodie off of the rack and checked its price tag. Its material seemed to be high quality, so he wouldn’t be astonished if it was a bit expensive. Luckily, the hoodie tag's listed price wasn’t too expensive, and the hoodie was just his size. Doi could buy it and still have enough money left to purchase more things.

He headed towards the cashier and presented the hoodie he'd be buying to them after a giving brief greeting. Afterwards, he handed the cashier the necessary amount of money and left the store with his new hoodie. Doi made sure to put on his new hoodie upon leaving. He'd make sure to get the most out of his purchase.

Re: [Open] Walking Around

Doi's next stop would be the Yamaguchi bakery. The whitehaired academy student was in the mood for pastries. Luckily enough, Doi was well acquainted with Ms. Yamaguchi's children so she always gave him a little discount. She'd sometimes even give him stuff for free.

While walking toward the bakery, Doi made sure to peek into the windows of every store he passed. He might just see something that'll catch his interest and make sure to buy it whenever he came back.

"Hey, you. Kid with the white hair."

At hearing that, Doi assumed that whoever said those words was talking to him. He couldn't see anyone around with white hair that could still be considered a kid. Who was it that was speaking to him? and what did they want with him?

"Over here, brat. Come here."

Finally, Doi's eyes landed upon a hooded figure sitting upon a stool in a small alleyway. Next to the person was a rack filled with various kinds of trinkets. The whitehaired genin was very suspicious of the hooded figure and wasn't too sure if he should approach. Doi was a ninja and he was sure he could manage to defend himself if the hooded figure wished to harm him, but he was still uncertain.

"Why? What do you want?"

"You a ninja?"

"Yeah, but what's it to you?"

"The life of a ninja is a dangerous one, kid. You don't look like you could handle it."

Doi frowned a bit a that statement. Did he really look that weak?

"That's rather rude, don't ya' think? And what would you know about being a ninja anyway?

Re: [Private] Walking Around

"I know more than I'd like to share, brat. I was once a shinobi myself," responded the hooded figure with a grim tone of voice. Doi was a bit surprised from shady person's revelation. What could've happened to this person for them to quit being a shinobi, and start selling souvenirs.

"Then why are you in a dark alley way selling souvenirs? You look pretty suspicious." The whitehaired genin was now genuinely curious. What circumstances would lead a shinobi to doing something like this for money?

"Personal reasons." The genin frowned at the hooded figures reply. It didn't seem like they were going to be giving up that information so easily. Nonetheless, Doi was a pretty persistent child and wouldn't give up so easily.

"Personal reasons?"

"Yes, personal reasons. Are you hard at hearing, boy?"

Doi wasn't the easiest person to annoy, but this mysterious person was starting to get on his nerves just a bit. The conversation didn't seem like it was going anywhere at this point, so the whitehaired genin found it in his best interest to just leave.

"Where you going? Did I say we where finished?" The hooded person called out to Doi's retreating figure. The boy stopped in his tracks and turned back towards the hooded figure.

"What is it that you want from me then?

"Buy something."

"What?"

"Buy something from me. I've got trinkets from all over the world here, kid. I bet I've got something you'd like.
" This entire conversation was just a ploy to get him to buy something? Doi felt used.

"Good bye"

Re: [Private] Walking Around

Doi quickly walked away from the hooded individual after uttering those last words. All the while ignoring the individual's pleas for him to come back and offers of special discounts. The conversation had annoyed the usually charismatic and care-free Doi. The young genin wasn't too bothered by the fact that he'd been called weak straight to his face by a total stranger. No, what bothered him was how pointless the entire conversation had been. He actually hoped that shady person had an interesting story to tell. The thought of a shinobi ending up as a souvenir merchant in some random alley way in the Susukino district seemed pretty interesting. What exactly could've lead to that happening?

With the entire interaction behind him, Doi continued his trek towards the Yamaguchi bakery. Luckily, it wasn't much of a long walk from where he'd encountered the stranger. Upon reaching the business, Doi was greeted by the sight of a red sign behind the door that read 'Closed'. Not only that, but all of the lights were off. Ms.Yamaguchi must've had some important business to handle for her to close the shop during this time of the afternoon. This was of day was when people got off work, and kids got out of school. The perfect time to get some sales.

Doi hung his head in defeat. There were plenty of other bakeries in the area that were probably open, but he decided against going check them out. Yamaguchi pastries were the best pastries in Kumo, and no other pastry could compare. At least that's how he felt about the pastries.

It was getting dark, and Doi did not feel like exploring the Susukino district any further after this disappointment. It was time for him to just go home.
