Night Patrol, the ninja's home environment. Akumi was assigned a simple guard duty to a secret scroll. Though she did not know what was contained in the scroll, it was important enough to be guarded in its own location. This place she was guarding was almost in a back ally, behind buildings, and well hidden. All she had to do was last until shift change, no problem right? From the mission, details suggested that there used to be two scrolls, and somebody got away with one of them, so now they're guarding the second one as closely as possible. She doubted anyone would try in this location, it was almost in the center of the village, close to the Hokage's mansion. They'd have to get past many guards in order to make it to the door she guards. The scroll was inside the building, it was a pretty solid and thick building, no windows, one door. It was surrounded by similar buildings, maybe each holding something important, or just decoys. Either way, she knows which building she needed to keep an eye on. It didn't take long for something to catch Akumi's eye, well more like ears. She heard a scraping noise, quick, and quiet. She knew something was wrong, so she took a look, but only took a step to look around.
Akumi did not see anything, but she didn't let her guard down. She put her hands into her pouches and had her mouths on her hands begin to chew clay. Though she stopped when she remembered that this was inside the village, near buildings. She couldn't risk using her explosions here, so she'd have to rely on her other Jutsu. She huffed in provoked manner. She rarely used any other Jutsu, but any of them could be destructive.
A few minutes later another noise, this time Akumi knew it was not a coincidence, she kept her position though, near her the building. She wasn't going to allow anyone through. "Whose there?!" She called out, maybe it was another guard or something.
Within a flash Akumi flinched, she saw something coming at her, so she attempted to dodge, unfortunately, she was not quick enough. She ended up tumbling backwards after being hit. Looking up, Akumi spotted a figure in the shadows. She got up quickly to confront the figure, injured, and sighed, and started creating hand seals quickly, She then placed her hands on the ground, "Earth Style: Antlion Sinkhole!" She shouted as she activated her Jutsu.
The figure was eaten up by her sinkhole -crit-, only his head stuck out of the ground. Akumi dashed over to see it was indeed a missing ninja. "I got a missing nin here trying to acquire the scroll." She called in. She wasn't sure if he was secure just yet, better safe than sorry though.
Akumi kept a tight eye on the shinobi until others came to take him. During the scuffle, akumi only acquired a scratch and a bruise. She was still pissed the guy even hit her in the first place. The men couldn't come fast enough, it took them fifteen minutes to come. Once the were there, Akumi released the Jutsu and they restrained him, taking him quickly.
The rest of the night was fairly uneventful, just like every other night. Once shift change came, Akumi signed out, and went straight home to put some ice on her head.
