Hiraki is the culmination of Arashi's skill set being forged into a blade specifically designed and forged by his clan's blacksmiths. Larger than the blades he used when he was younger, it's extended reach gives him a wider attack radius. The ores used, specifically metals which conduct both chakra and electricity makes channeling his chakra nature while wielding it fluid. He has been capable of pushing enough force into his strikes with it to expel arcs of chakra from it, giving it a ranged capability as well, should it be required.
