Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Chakra Attuned Point Distribution:
20 points:
[fontsize="12"]The Chakra Attuned are ninja who excell at creating and molding chakra, able to summon up the power for a jutsu in a snap. It is said that those who are Chakra Attuned just plain have more chakra stored up in them than others, and this copious amount of spare power allows them to experiment and train in ways others could only dream of.

Chakra Retainer - Passive (2 points) <i></i>
An Attuned ninja has almost complete control over their own chakra flow, and through hard training they learn how to retain it within themselves. There is no force that can remove chakra from the control of the Attuned, not an absorption jutsu, a hungry bug, or anything else.
Effect: Attacks that drain or remove chakra from the Attuned are completely ineffective.

One-Handed Seals - Passive (2 points) <i></i>
Restriction- C Rank and up
A ninja who is properly Chakra Attuned is able to produce the correct amounts of chakra even with an incomplete seal. With extreme practice and their natural talent for manipulating chakra, they can learn the ability previously thought to be exclusive to a bloodline clan.
Effect: The user is able to perform all Jutsu handseals with one hand.

Conservation - Passive (3 points) <i></i>
Restriction- C Rank and up
Through repeated use and training with the lower level techniques, the attuned ninja learns the best ways to manipulate their chakra in order to produce the desired effects. They are able to cast weaker jutsu for a much smaller cost than an average ninja would.
Effect: -15% Ninjutsu cost.

Normalize - Passive (2 points) <i></i>
Chakra Attuned users like to say their chakra is pure, rather than twisted toward one particular element. Some of them take this to extremes, making their chakra tuned toward no elements at all.
Effect: All elemental attacks become non-elemental and purely chakra-based, and gain +10% damage. This allows them to cut through all elemental damage reduction.

Spirit Boost - Boost (2 point) <i></i>
Restriction- Can be purchased twice
A Chakra Attuned ninja's prowess with Ninjutsu is not to be underestimated. Their skill with it is unparalleled, and is not limited to any one specific element.
Effect: +5% Ninjutsu damage.

Energy Boost - Boost (3 point) <i></i>
Restriction- Can be purchased three times
A Chakra Attuned ninja tends to have slightly more chakra to work with than the average, being that they tend to work with it more often than others.
Effect: +2 to CP modifier.

Recharge - Passive (2 point) <i></i>
Chakra Attuned ninja are very efficient at storing their chakra, up to the point where it flows into them easily from all around. They can restore their own chakra as effortlessly as breathing.
Effect: User regains 2% CP per round.

Jutsu Expert - Modification (2 points) <i></i>
Restriction- Must have Jutsu Mastery
A Chakra Attuned ninja is extremely efficient with their chakra, especially with jutsu they are also skilled with. They are even more adept at this than other practitioners of the skill.
Effect: 10% Chakra reduction is changed to 15%.

Chakra Vacuum - Jutsu (2 point) <i></i>
Restriction- A-Rank and up
A fearsome technique that can only be used by those with an absolute mastery over chakra molding, such as the Chakra Attuned. The Chakra Vacuum is just that, a technique which sucks chakra out of everything nearby and pulls it into the user. This attack is strongest when there are multiple targets surrounding the caster, so that they can feed off of all of them at once. Once this jutsu is activated, the user cannot move at all, needing to maintain total concentration--if the user moves, the jutsu will be disrupted.
Rank 1: Absorbs 1000 chakra from up to 3 targets every round. Lasts a maximum of 3 rounds.
Rank 2: Absorbs 1500 chakra from up to 3 targets every round. Lasts a maximum of 4 rounds.
Cost: 3 AP, 1250 CP/round[/fontsize]

Advanced Affinity Magentic RP:
It is a simple fair, mixing two different types of chakra, simple in theory that is. Rao knew the theories and the seemingly correct ways to accomplish the goal, but it didn't seem to be coming together for him. Since childhoold Rao exhibited a great control of his chakra, hiccups like this were frustrating.

He scoffed as he aggressively summoned the chakra inside of him into his palms, first he applied lightning, and then difficult application of non-elemental. He waited with anticipation, and extended his chakra to the metal kunai on the table in front of him. The chakra surrounded the blade and electricity flowed through it for a moment before Rao let the chakra go. The stone hadn't responded, another failure.

Rao held a high affinity for two types elements. Lightning was the first, and most fitting, he was a child of the Lightning country. Holding an affinity for the element helped him feel better connected to the country and village. The second element, wasn't so much an element, but a noticeable lack of element. This non-elemental type of chakra was a bit of an oddity and at times left Rao feeling frustrated. He knew the area holding him back in the proper mixture of the two elements was the non-elemental chakra. It is incredibly hard to keep the lightning from overpowering and dominating the non-elemental chakra. The result of a proper mix would be a new element, quite a desirable one.

One part lightning, one part non, mix slowly and consistently, and then increase both together. Rao's hands moved together in a synchronized pattern. He felt the chakra slowly start to build and pulse to life, faster the hands moved, rounding an invisible ball of chakra at the center. Almost there, blended together and the power of magnets will be mine. The hands stopped and held the invisible force still, with apprehension he pushed the power to the kunai, he smiled as he felt it attach. The lodestone in his pocket responded immediately, it's magentic point pulling to the kunai. He pulled the stone out and whipped the kunai into the wall on his left, the stone spun in his palm and followed the gleaming knife. About damn time it worked.

Abilities:

1. Acrobatics
Battle requires a fluid motion, shinobis didn't fight in well formed ranks with shields up protecting each others exposed sides. No, they fought in battle like the wind moves through a forest. PMC forces were skilled professional mercenaries, but they were no match for the speed and grace of a shinobi. Rao learned this early in his years as Chuunin, civil war raged around him, his squad thrown again and again into battle. Trial by fire gained Rao many traits those years, moving in and around the battle was one of the traits that keep him alive long enough to regret his actions later.

2. Concentration
Arrows fly shading the sky, metal flashes reflecting dulled sun light, dying screams, smells of excrement, slick blood covered fields, and enemies with a killing intent, these and many more add to distraction in a battle. It is a terrifying place for anyone to make a living, and an easy place to die if one loses their concentration. Rao found concentration on the fields of the dying a simple thing, he kept simple goals and adhered to them. Stay ahead of the enemy, strike only when there is an opening, don't lose your head, keep eyes on the enemy, and always maintain an escape route. Concentration of the task at hand was critical, for the battlefield could be quite the distracting place.

WC: 122
3. Conservative Motion
Make the seals with small motions, strike with quick and precise blows, understand the exact amount of pressure needed to move, all these things help conserve energy. Tips and tricks are picked up on the battlefield, in the academy, and in training, every ounce of energy is needed when it is a battle of life and death. Rao could recall seeing the men in the imperial army and men in the PMC die because they were too exhausted to defended properly against a blow. Too tired to care whether or not they lived or died, when you're exhausted all that once mattered is gone from the mind. Rao knew it was another key to survival, the men and shinobi who lived were the ones who knew how to pace themselves.

4. Fearless
Screams were everywhere, this wasn't how war was to supposed to be. To his left and right he could see the men of the Imperial Army dying. He was supposed to help them, augment their fighting force, him and the other groups of Kumo shinobis. He felt racked by the fear, how could life be taking so easily? A Mercenary of the PMC forces stabbed his sword into the chest of an Imperial spear man, the spear man crumpled at Rao's feet. Wide-eyed he stared from the Mercenary to the bloodied sword. Instinct and years of drilling took hold as the Mercenary stabbed towards Rao, he slipped to the side of the blow and slammed his kunai into the man's neck. He was slow Rao realized, he looked again at the battlefield, everyone was slow. Uneasiness washed away as the another man swung at the young shinobi, Rao raised a barrier of chakra deflecting the blow, and quickly slammed his lightning enhanced fist into the head of his attacker. The man groaned as he fell back. Rao was here to help, it was almost as if we was waking up from a haze, purpose and determination eradicated the fear of boy and replaced it with the fearlessness of a shinobi.

5. Hyperactive
“Stop bouncing around so damn much!” Rao smiled remembering his old tutor, he gave that man hell. No one told the poor man just what he was signing up for. Rao was an all out brat as child, he got anything he wanted, and he made sure everyone was aware of it. Teachers yelled at him and other kids tried to keep up with him. It wasn't really until later on in life that Rao started to really see the benefits in this. He had always been yelled at, but the urge to move and keep his mind busy always kept him on the path of the next exciting adventure. The seemingly unending amount of energy allowed Rao to continually practice and create new jutsu, it was a blessing in disguise all along.

6. Insight
It takes many years of interactions with men and woman to understand them. It is incredibly difficult to really understand a person, and even then they always seem to surprise. For some reason Rao found it easier than most to see to the heart of matters, to look passed the facade and into the heart of a person. It helped being the son of merchant when it came to these sorts of skills, his father used to bring him along to business transactions and teach him the common tells and tricks. The ability helped his squads many times in the war to ferret out traitors and uncover ambushes. Rarely had Rao ever found him self out maneuvered or fooled by another.

WC: 121
7. Jutsu Mastery
There is a great advantage to having a tutor. Long before most students joined the academy Rao was being trained and educated by a knowledgeable shinobi tutor. He was summoning and forming chakra under the expert guidance of his tutor for many years before he even attempted to become a shinobi. The practice and accomplishments drove him more and more to learn and mastery the art of chakra. Though he is far from being an expert, Rao knows the work ethic and what is required to learn jutsus in and out. No jutsu enters his repertoire without his thorough understanding to the inner workings of it.

WC: 106
8. Quick Healer
Cuts, scrapes, broken bones, even burns all healed faster then what was considered normal. Rao didn't understand it all that well, but that is what the Med-Nin told him. They say it takes two months to reset a bone, and for some reason it takes his body one month. Rao never complained of course, that would be foolish to curse a gift such as that. It mattered little, it allowed Rao to train for hours on end and push his body to limits were most would fail. Yet no matter the case he would heal back quicker, grow muscle faster, and last longer then his peers.

9. Recharge
Rao remembered the first time he was struck by an enemy's jutsu, it was a shocking and violent blast of chakra. This wasn't what really struck him as odd though, no it was the fact that he could feel something else, almost a friendly type of presence. He didn't understand it at first, what about an enemy's attack was friendly? Maybe friendly wasn't the right word for it. He stewed on the idea for months before a sparring session with a squad member made everything clear. It wasn't that his enemy's chakra was friendly, it was his own ability to change and his body's receptors to accept the chakra into his own system. It allowed him to reuse the chakra of an opponent for his own attacks.

WC: 127
10. Teamwork
If anyone was to ask Rao why it was that he survived so many battles, the war, or life as a shinobi, he would tell them it was his teammates. In his world people lived or died based on how well they could trust the person standing next to them. Rao trusted them with his life, and he would go to any means to protect theirs. It was a beautiful thing in a battle when a team functioned as a well oiled machine, they could understand the others in the squad with mere looks. If a person cannot function within the the unit then that person would not last long. It was only the teammates that eventually became family that carried Rao through.

Weapon
Concealed Wrist Bolter MK II; Type: Ranged, Damage Type: Piercing
The concealed MK II was developed to be worn around the wrist of the user. It is possible to fold away the metal limbs to the side of the thick leather wrist guard. Magazines of bolts can be loaded from the bottom of the wrist guard where a hopper is prepared with spring to reengage the bolt after each is fired. The model received poor marks and little use in government or commercial use. The majority of users found it too time consuming to fold the limbs in and out and setup the wire and catch mechanism for firing. The amount of misfires and difficulty of setup ended in the discontinuation of the product.

Rao obtained a set of the old MK II and modified the designs. He changed the bolts to a lower cartridge to free up space in side the mechanism within the leather guard. The entirety of the parts on the MK II were replaced with magnetized metal. The firing mechanism was moved into the leather guard with no external access, the weapon could only be fired when pulled on by a user's chakra. The MK II would still function as a concealed bolter, to prepare the bolter for use would require the user to manipulate the magnetize limbs and wire into the correct positions. A feat easily accomplished with magnetic chakra.
