Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was long over-due. All things considered it was also entirely expected with how much he had been working in the Academy, being a participant in the tournament preliminaries, aiding in specialized tutors, acting as a psuedo-therapist for some and a torturer of others; all in all, it had started to show signs of wear on the young-Chūnin over the years. Nearing his latest birthday, and realization that he was finding himself exceedingly more exhausted than he usually was. Plans began to be devised and submitted to his superiors; with a request of leave of absence to take a break and in turn focus on himself for a little while.

It was then that when he received word back from the superior-seated members of the Main-Branch; notably Saeko who had taken hold of his request and reviewed it, was granted the request of leave. Both with great intrigue and anxiety, Shieo found himself packing for a trip that he had somewhat been formulating over the past year with little confidence in whether he would actually be going on it or not. Yet here he was, packing lightly but comfortably; re-evaluating his belongings he was sure to bring a tent, canteen, some mission rations, a fishing rod and some changes of clothes and weather clothing, a bundle of rope and a flashlight; beyond that he was to to rely on himself and the wild to serve and provide to him.

Given his past expeditions it wouldn't be too far off from those, however it was established this was to be significantly longer of a trek; and into lands he had never really explored beyond the simplicity of texts, which were known for embellishing things quite a bit to begin with.

Later that day, Shieo found himself at the booth for signing in and checking-out, with his passport in hand and ready to depart. The dour-eyed man gave a furtive glance at the village afore he took his place in-front of the booth, handing the attendant his passport. "Name?"

"Ariho, Shieo; departing on leave by Saeko's approval on behalf of the Main-Branch Sennin."

[Requesting Exit] Stop Playing with your Doodad

It was just your standard exit check.

There was not one but two shinobi on guard that day as Shieo approached the base of Dragontooth Pass’ Central Guard Tower. The first of the two guards was a slender fellow who barely filled out his standard chunin vestments, with cocoa skin and a knotty afro propped up by his hitae ate bandana. He was dutifully present at the main window, but preoccupied with a portable radio, unaware of his company. His radio was screeching and he smacked it a couple times, all in an effort to tune into some broadcast on a weak signal.

“Stop playing with your doodad, ya nerd” chided the second guard. She was a brutish lass leaning against a table to the rear of the room, stocky and tall, with her hair braided tightly in two rows that met at the back of her head to form a crown-like design. Scraping came from her hands as she rubbed a long halberd blade with a whetstone in her spare time. “We’ve got an exit standing there” she went on, and poked at the scrawnier guard with the tail of her halberd from across the booth. Then she came forward to the window, further revealing her dominant size when she stood beside he frail ally. Strong eyes with thick black lashes peered down at Shieo, and she asked: “And where do ya think you’re going, pencil neck?” Shieo had already stated his permission, but the guard was set on giving him a hard time, or so it seemed. Her comrade was reviewing Shieo’s passport and seemed satisfied, but the bullish lass snatched it out of his hands and brought it close to her face. She held it out, looking at the I.D. Photo, then to Shieo, and back to the form. “I don’t see the resemblance” she trolled, clearly seeing the truth. “Come on Joruri, stop giving him a hard time” pleaded her partner, who leaned away from her, expecting a strike as soon as Shieo departed. “He has the authority of Lady Kagetsu, signed and dated. ‘You’ll get us in trouble, sis.”

The obstinate guard set the passport loose and a sudden gust started to take it away— all the meanwhile she glared at Shieo so full of spiteful. “Whoops” she said with a resting bitch-face, “well, you’re free to go, Shieo Ariho— enjoy your f***ing trip” She spoke his name as if she was committing him to memory, in fact, Shieo would probably sneeze three times as he walked down the mountain pass as Joruri cursed his name. “Why does he get to go on vacation? What’s so special about him? Raiden’s beard... It must be nice.” It was only the start of her grumbling as she receded deep into the booth, leaving her partner befuddled and shooing Shieo to be on his way. “Sorry about that,” he said with an awkwardness to him. “May winter by kind to you on your journey, comrade. Be safe out there, and hurry home.”

- Exit granted.
- Have fun out there.

His attention had slowly coasted between the two attendants. Despite their ... playfulness he didn't let his stance budge, nor his typical expression of being perpetually exhausted. As the larger guard wandered over to meet with her partner, her build certainly emphasized a greater physical strength than his own; and she carried herself knowing that entirely. Yet with her burrowed eyes and figure that he imagined left most feeling quite imposed; her could help but stare at the globes of her eyes with that of his dour half-lidded expression. “And where do ya think you’re going, pencil neck?” Her demands were met with him arching his left brow and then peered to his passport, which had detailed everything.
Given that she would know this, he merely drew his attention to the attendant that wielded the passport- That no sooner was snatched from his grasps. I guess she can clue in. He thought to himself amused, following the tracing of her hands; ignoring the jabs of his appearance and the remainder of her snide comments; after-all, her partner hit the nail on the head. In the end, he didn't have to say much more than his name and let the paperwork do majority of the talking.

Moments passed until his passport too, passed. His eyes drew to it and gave out an audible 'sigh'; turning his attention to the attendants, one with her remark of her abrasive attitude afore she slunk into her dwellings of the booth. “May winter by kind to you on your journey, comrade. Be safe out there, and hurry home.”

"Thanks, stay safe." Dipping his head once, he continued through the gates; walking- but kept his eyes on the fluttering passport. Figuring he'd just pick it up wherever it decided to land.

She was rather crass; wonder what stick got lodged up there. The voice that dwell in the recesses of his mind spoke with pointed boredom. Only meeting the inquiry with a shrug. His journey started; and he figured he wouldn't let some grouchy woman make the start of it a bad one. After-all, he was certain he would have plenty of bad experiences. One didn't need more.
