It truly had been a while since he smelled the freshness of Kumo's ancient forest. His sandals crushed damp blades of grass from the night time fog, which gently moistening his tabi socks. He did not mind, instead he smiled and welcomed the chilling rush of finally being, Home. He head tilted back, a thicket of tree lines like clouds covered the sky. A series of frosty winds began to blow, he almost forgot how icy the mountains were in the morning. Luckily, the bitter breeze woke him up from his subconscious train of thought and he continued walking again. Ever since arriving at the gates, it was almost like saying everything for the first time again.
"Where... was it again?"
All of his memories were still fuzzy, barely intact but coming together slowly. Hoshi was seeking to return to his dojo for meditation. He hoped this process would help him recollect himself. From his deductions though, he presumed it would only help regain short term memory, if anything. He could not recall why he left the village, or how he even knew the way back up Dragon Tooth Pass. Slowly but surely, it was all coming back. Then at the moment passing an opening in the forest, another memory flashed and froze the youth in a daze once more.
He was a child skipping through the tree tops. He had just finished his time in the academy, excited to discover new talents and strengths. The youth was fervently searching for a decent training location. He had felt an ominous aura which abruptly halted his advance. Hoshi looked in the general direction of where the energy seemed the most potent. Out of curiosity of course, he zoned in on the chakra and found a man with a youth a bit older than Hoshi. Long story short, this was the exact location where Hoshi would fight his later elder foster brother, and his later foster Father. This moment brought him stillness and comfort. He was glad to remember that, and so he continued on deep into the forest.
"Wasn't it by... Hmm.. That flower shop at the outskirts? Tatsuo..."
