Character's Physical Description:
Standing at six foot tall even, Hiraku has semi-short blonde hair worn both down or slicked back depending on his mood and situation. Sleek red eyes compliment his sharp face and white skin. His ears peirced, usually wearing some kind of earring passed down from his family, though not always. A slender but muscular build hides beneath his clothing, though sometimes exposed when wearing his family battle attire.
Character's Mental Description: Hiraku is a proud and confident man, sometimes coming off as cocky. He strongly dislikes those in power who haven't attained it through their own hard work and effort, not afraid to let them know such. He had great respect for those who have worked hard and become strong to get where they are, able to suppress his outward cockiness to show such. A caring and loving individual on the inside, hiding such emotions on the outside due to his upbringing, in order to maintain his outward strength. Because it can be tough to get close to Hiraku, those who are he values dearly and would do anything for.
Character History: Born within the Touka clan of Wind Country, Hiraku was the child of two members of the Main branch of the family; his father one of the strongest Shinobi of their clan; his mother a Kunoichi who was born to no clan but had been accepted into the clan through marriage. As a member of the main family, Hiraku grew up treated well; like royalty. That was, until he grew old enough to begin training. After learning the Seikon basics from the family teachers, he failed to show any aptitude in the Mercury path. Due to this, his father began to distance himself, his mother tried to plea with him, suggesting maybe Hiraku just needed more time and practice to find his way, but as time went on, he made no progress, and his father's distance became anger and disgust. His mother continued to care for him, trying to give him the love he could no longer receive from his father, but not even that could stop his fate. His father had order that Hiraku be sent away to the Secondary Branch house in Lightning country to be trained there in the Cobalt path. There was nothing his mother could do, having to stand by her husband. At the age of 5, Hiraku was sent off to Lightning country to his new home. The house was run by Secondary Branch members, with none born to the Main Family. Only five Cobalt path members resided there; their sensei, Hiraku, and three other children. The other 27 children were Mercury path users. Those of the Cobalt path were treated poorly, and Hiraku even worse as one born to the Main family, the other children blaming them for their living situation. Hiraku learned at a young age how cruel life could be. How fake people were, how easily they could turn on their fellow human, how those in power treated those below them, and it all bothered him. He quickly decided that he would work harder than anyone and prove how strong he could become. The only one who treated him nicely was his Cobalt Path Sensei. Bullied and picked on, his motivation just continued to grow as he worked harder and longer than all the other kids, seeking extra lessons with his Sensei, practicing in his free time, mastering his ability over his outward reality. By the age of 8, Hiraku was enrolled into Kumogakure's shinobi academy where he began learning basic shinobi skills which he could add to his Seikon abilities. When he wasn't training to be a Shinobi, his free time was spent on further mastering his family abilities. As he grew, his hate towards those of power who could treat those they viewed as inferior so poorly grew stronger; what had his family truly done to deserve such power? He didn't believe they had worked hard enough or deserved it. By the age of 9 he had already graduated from the Academy and become a full fledged Genin, going on missions with his team and improving his skills more and more, quickly becoming one of the strongest family members in his branch house. At 13, he had managed to take the Chuunin exams and pass easily. His reality-bending abilities were unheard of to most with how rarely members of his clan would follow the Cobalt path, and he had managed to take them further than most before him had. Being so young and strong, Hiraku began to become quite confident, able to beat any Lightning Country family members in spars, causing them to hate him even more. He did not look down on them or hate them though; understanding how they felt, because he felt the same from his original family. Continuing to do well on tougher missions, Hiraku was recruited to the ANBU at the age of 15 for his unique abilities to bend reality to his will. Those skills would allow him many opportunities when it came to infiltrations, assassinations, etc. Everything an ANBU could want. Over the next couple years he managed to work his way up through the ranks, taking many solo missions, and participating in some squad missions as well when his skills were required. On the outside though, Hiraku had become strong, his confidence in himself high. Taking to calling himself a King of sorts within his family, doing so to disrespect the main family, taking a set of his family's battle armour for himself even though a Cobalt path member was not supposed to have such an honour, he didn't care. At 19 now, he continues to defy his clan, provoking them for all they've done to him and their people, wanting to make things change in the future, but waiting for the right time.
Clan:
Touka Clan.A clan from Wind Country that has existed for centuries. With the power of the Seikon bloodline, this clan has the ability to control and bend reality to their whim. The Touka are a clan which have passed down their bloodline and technique for generations, producing strong shinobi who fight for multiple countries; though most of their strongest are send to Sunagakure. Just as within the Seikon bloodline, two branches exist within the clan. The main branch is held by those who have pure blood from the original family but only those who are able to master the Mercury path are able to join. Those who are unable to have the self-control and skill to follow this path are forced to follow the Cobalt path; the less seen, less reliable and consistent path. Those not of the original bloodline with the Mercury path, and those of the Cobalt path and their offspring are to be part of the secondary branch of the clan. The secondary branch is treated much more poorly and looked down upon, especially those of the Cobalt path who are seen as lazy or of low potential. This attitude is mostly kept a secret to the outside world, wanting to maintain a strong image throughout the world. Members of the secondary branch can be sent away to be trained in other countries as the family owns homes within the major countries in order to provide Shinobi to them as well, though never their best members; those are reserved for Suna.

It was a family tradition within the Touka main house that when a main family member reached their 18th birthday they would be tested to see if they were worth to inherit the families greatest strength. What that strength was, had always been shrouded in mystery. No one really knew what it was and it was hardly even spoken about. Those in the secondary branch houses -- especially those of the Cobalt branch had no chance of ever learning of its secrets. Even as a former main family member, Hiraku hadn't heard about the tradition until he was 14. Accidentally overhearing the teachers speaking of it one night after coming in from some late night training. They were surprised because rumours had spread throughout the family that a member of the family had actually managed to unlock the first level of the family secret, and how apparently such a feat hadn't been done in over 40 years. Upon waking up the next day, Hiraku sought out his sensei in order to ask him about this trial. It was obvious the young boy shouldn't be asking such questions when his sensei took him quickly to a secluded room to speak of it, telling him not to tell anyone before explaining the full details of all that he knew. Learning of the age and blood requirements, the only person in the main family that Hiraku knew of that would be old enough to partake in such a trial would be his older cousin; the son of his uncle. His cousin had always excelled at his family training, unlocking the Mercury path at a very young age. Hiraku knew all too well about his cousins achievements as his own father spoke of them very often, hoping his own son would turn out to be the same -- which would turn out to be quite the disappointment. The realization of hidden power within his own clan, who he felt like had abandoned him -- besides his sensei, made Hiraku upset, but also drove him. He yearned this power, if only to spite the family who had thought him weak. The largest issue was that he was no longer considered part of the main family and had no right, by family law, to take the trial. If they wouldn't grant him his opportunity, perhaps he would snatch it for himself? By the age of 18, Hiraku began to ponder the idea of heading home to Wind Country in order to infiltrate his own families estate in order to take what he believed he deserved, because they certainly didn't deserve to have it all to themselves. Those last few years that Hiraku had been trained as an ANBU could certainly facilitate such an adventure.
In essence, the plan was simple; travel to Wind Country, scout the estate for several weeks in order to establish routines, security and gather intelligence. If he was going to find such a secret, he would need to know what he was looking for exactly, or at the very least where to discover information of such importance. First thing he needed though was to obtain a travel passport in order to leave Kumo for a few months in order to achieve such a goal. After a few months of planning and completing missions he was needed for, and with permission granted, Hiraku took off on his journy. After a train ride from Kumo to Fire Country, he young shinobi had no choice but to travel on foot, the train only built so far. The trek was quite exhausting as Hiraku wanted to make the most of his travel time, infrequently stopping -- merely to rest, eat and head out again. A week of travel later, Hiraku had arrived in the city of his families estate. Keeping his presence suppressed, he refused to be spotted this early. His proficiency in stealth and his ability to warp the world around him made it easy for him to avoid being spotted by anyone residing within the town's tavern. Figuring anyone within his family that could recognize who he'd become wouldn't stoop so low as to frequent such an establishment.
For the first few days Hiraku spent the majority of his time scouting the premises, watching guard schedules and family member movements. It appeared as though their security was tight; no post was ever left empty, multiple guards in each spot and switches wouldn't occur until replacements had arrived for shifts. As for the family members, it seemed that both his cousin and his father weren't there at the moment, as he hadn't seen even a hint of them. Surely this would improve his odds of success. Though he had seen his mother a few times, he felt bad that he couldn't talk to her since she had tried so hard to care for him. During down times, Hiraku spent time thinking back to his childhood, trying to remember places within the estate where he was forbade to explore. One of them was likely the place in which their secret was concealed. By the second week of scouting, Hiraku's father had returned for a few days, but seemingly nothing changed in anyone's schedules besides his whereabouts. Unsurprisingly, his father left a few days later seemingly for another mission. As the week came to an end with no variation in routing, schedules and security, the Kumo shinobi felt he had a good enough grasp of the situation for him to proceed with his initial scouting infiltration. Through his outer scouting, Hiraku had realized the obvious optimal time for such infiltration would be the dead of night, while the strongest present members slept.
As the moon bathed the land in its white glow, Hiraku adorned his ANBU attired -- choosing not to wear his mask or village markings of any kind as he did not wish to cause issues between Suna and Kumo for his own selfish reasons. Using his Active Camo jutsu, the shinobi kept his presence as suppressed as possible while making his way towards the estate, keeping cover as much a possible and exploiting even the smallest of holes in their security and their lines of sight in order to infiltrate. Although the guards were no slouches, it wasn't too difficult as someone trained in such skills to make it past them. Once inside, Hiraku headed towards the family Head's office. It came to him one night as he was watching the house in boredom; as a child, he had been told never to enter that room, but kids were always curious. One evening while his father had went to speak with the family Head, young Hiraku decided to take a look into the room, but as he did, he seen both men entering a secret entrance in the back wall of the room, only seeing the tail end of them before the entrance shut behind them. It was a memory buried deep since Hiraku was only about three years old. Now that he was able to recall the memory, he knew it had to be hidden there. Swiftly, he made his way to that room, listening closely as he stood by the door. No noise could be heard within, and he could sense no presence of anyone strong within. Quickly entering the room, he closed it behind himself, locking the door in order to make sure he wouldn't be disturbed. Walking up to the wall where he remembered the secret entrance, he moved his hands along it, trying to figure out how to open it. Pressing on areas around the wall, he couldn't find any mechanism in order to open it. Searched the room further, checking the desk in the office, he noticed a small button underneath the desk, within a draw; how cliche. Pressing it, the wall behind him creaked, chakra seals on it activating viably before sliding open. As he walked through the entrance he could see stairs heading down quite a ways; so far that he couldn't see the end. Running down the stairs, Hiraku made his way down what seemed like ten stories worth of stairs before reaching the bottom. What he saw before him was a large empty room with stone walls and a pedestal in the center. The stone walls were covered in words, obviously very ancient, in an unknown language and the room was at least ten thousand square feet, maybe more. Tombs lined the walls beneath the words, apparently this was also the burial tomb of his ancestors; the previous leaders of their clan. Approaching the pedestal in the middle of the room, Hiraku seen a large thick book placed upon it, as he reached out, opening it, and looking through the pages. From what he could gather it was instructions on how to read the walls and unlock their meaning. This was certainly not a task Hiraku could complete in a single night.
Spending a few hours that night getting acquainted with the book, Hiraku was able to decently understand what it was talking about. Apparently his clan had the ability to control time hidden deep within their blood, very few able to harness the power, and only those deemed worthy by the family were even allowed to attempt it. The words on the walls were instructions on how to harness these skills, and within the book were lists of members able to achieve success; along with what stage they had made it to. Seemingly only three members of the clan had ever fully unlocked all the time controlling power of what they called "Temporal Strider". Of those alive, only the clan Head and Hiraku's cousin had managed to access any form of time control. The family head had only unlocked the first level, but his cousin had managed to unlocked up to the third level already in just the four years he had been working on it. From what he could tell, there was seven levels total, and with only twelve people ever reaching as far as his cousin, Hiraku knew his cousin would be quite strong. But for some reason this training didn't seem so difficult to the young shinobi; was he missing something? Figuring he had spent enough time there for the evening, having looked around and read so much the past few hours, he decided to take his leave for the night in order to rest and come back the next day. Having taken mental snapshots of the room and book, he spent hours thinking about them in his bed, writing everything down in a notebook before falling asleep. The next evening, Hiraku headed back, taking his notebook with him so he could write down more stuff, trying to get everything in case he wouldn't be able to get back again. After completing his notes, he figured he would be able to practice on his own for two hours before having to leave. Taking a seat within the room before the first wall, from what he could understand the first step was to figure out how to use his ability to bend reality in order to bend time itself. It made Hiraku curious as to why the family pushed so hard for the Mercury when affecting time with their ability to bend reality seemed like a much more simple concept if you were adept at bending reality around you rather than bending the reality of your own body. Perhaps that was the reason so few had managed to capture this power. But if being a Mercury path user made it so much more difficult in theory, how strong must his cousin be to have managed to make it to the third level as a Mercury path member? Hopefully he wouldn't have to find out any time soon. Closing his eyes, he drew his mind away from such thoughts, focusing on his abilities, as the blue rippling reality aura began emanating from him, warping his surroundings, focusing on attempting to understand how he could use it to affect time around him. After some contemplating he realized down there he would have no way of knowing if he was achieving this as there was nothing but himself and an empty room to reference. Deciding to take his leave, he headed back to town and slept it off in at the tavern and attempt some tests in the morning.
After waking up, Hiraku headed out into the town, finding a busy area where he could practice. Finding a hidden spot on the building above a crowded market area, the shinobi once again began emanating his reality chakra, focusing it, but keeping his eyes on those below him, trying to slow time around him. The training was exhausting, and Hiraku could feel it depleting his chakra reserves. It was at this moment, just before fully depleting his reserves that his focus fell to an object; a toy that had just been dropped by a child walking through the streets with his mother. In that moment, the toys descent slowed to a crawl, as even the child noticed, reaching down and grabbing it mid-air. Luckily the child didn't question it, and continued on his way, but Hiraku certainly recognized what had happened. Coughing to himself, he coughed up a bit of blood as his little stunt had managed to cause him to enter Chakra Burn, damaging him slightly. Swiftly leaving the roof and heading back to his room at the tavern, he knew he needed to rest now for the rest of the day. His excitement however was through the roof, as he recognized that he had managed to unlock his families secret technique. All that was left was for him to improve his control now that he finally had the proper sensation, and learn the techniques based on the principles he had discovered. Going over his notes from the hidden room, the second step was for him to improve his ability to the point of being able to freeze time around him for a moment. After resting, the next day he continued to practice, slowing more and more things around him at a time, rapidly improving due to his extreme control over reality around his using the Cobalt path knowledge he had acquired over his years of training. In less than a full day he had managed to slow down the entire marketplace he first unlocked his power at for a full second. Knowing he needed to keep going, he spent the next week working on his abilities, unlocking multiple stages. He learned how to freeze time on specific things for long periods of time, how to speed up and even rewind time slightly; though these abilities were very limited. With only a day left of his planned time here, he had managed to reach the second last level -- of which only 4 previous members of the family had managed to reach, three of which made it to the final stage as well. This made Hiraku hopeful that with one last trip to the secret room, he could unlock the secrets of the final technique.
Managing one last time to sneak into the estate and reach the hidden room, Hiraku looked around, realizing he wouldn't be coming back here, at least not anytime soon. Reading over the last section of the book, and looking at the final wall, it spoke of using the ability one one's self to create an after echo of themselves which could take physical form. It seemed like it would be difficult since he had always had trouble bending reality on himself. Perhaps that was why almost all of those who managed to make it to the sixth stage also made it to the seventh. Those who had been Mercury path Touka found the last stage easy? Maybe the one who didn't make it was a Cobalt like himself? As he stood there doubting himself for a moment suddenly a voice rung out behind him. "Is it really you Cousin?" The voice asked, as Hiraku turned around to see the grown face of the cousin he remembered. Heart beginning to race a bit realizing he had been caught. "What do you think you're doing down here?" the man asked. He stood tall, probably six foot three, wearing a golden set of armour which Hiraku had seen their main family members wear when going off to battle, the man had blond hair and red eyes similar to his own. "I truly do feel bad for how our family treated you, but you lost your right to be here. I've heard you've taken to calling yourself a King of the Touka. Do you truly think someone such as yourself who couldn't even learn the Mercury path could possibly learn the skills locked away in here? How could someone who can't even learn master out techniques be called a King?" He continued questioning his Kumo cousin. A smirk quickly crept across Hiraku's face, letting out a confident chuckle. "I suppose you'll have to see for yourself." finally speaking, his chakra began to release in a blue ripple around his body before suddenly time slowed around him, coming to a stop, Hiraku quickly sprinted behind the man, stopping in the doorway at the bottom of the stairs before time continued, but his cousin didn't stop completely, taking an offensive stance in slow motion he turning around slowly to face Hiraku. "How could you have possibly learned our secret techniques already?" He had obviously felt the time shift as one able to effect time himself. Suddenly Hiraku felt time for himself slow down, as his cousin appeared to be moving faster in the same instance. Before he could react, his cousins Katana had been thrust towards him. Moving his body as quick as it could, he managed to move it enough for the stab wound he had incurred to miss any vital organ, stabbing into his side. Pulling the blade out, he prepared himself for another strike but Hiraku wouldn't have it. Overcharging his Active Camo jutsu he seemingly disappeared from sight and jolted up the stairs, making his way out of there. Bleeding slightly, drops fell intermittently, leaving a trail behind him. Trying to heal it, and popping a clotting pill he had in his jacket quickly, he knew the guards had probably been alerted already. Trying to find a new escape, he stumbled into a room close by, hoping to catch his breath. Looking around he realized he had entered an armoury room within the estate. The walls were lined with armour sets and weaponry. Hiraku chuckled to himself again, walking up to a set of armour. If he truly wanted to call himself a King of the Touka, he should dress like it,right? Putting the armour on over top of his ANBU attire, he figured it would be useful in the current situation incase he were to be attacked by his cousin's blade again. As the sound of rushing feet ran past the room, he once again activated his camouflage jutsu, charging out of the room in the opposite direction of the steps. After finding a room with a window, he quickly jumped out, dashing across the roofs, to the outside of the estate. As he made it to the outside wall, he looked behind him, suddenly seeing his cousin once again rushing towards him, sword drawn, time around him slowing down once more. Hastily, Hiraku began forming handseals he had used plenty of times before, chakra flowing as his eyes locked onto his cousin, suddenly the enraged shinobi fell to the ground, body stiffened as the Kumo ANBU had cast his Body Bind in order to paralyze his cousin. Retreating at full speed, he knew the bind wouldn't hold long on a shinobi of his caliber. Managing to make it away, Hiraku knew he would need to continue training his abilities on his own. He had the information he needed, but he needed to figure out how to use his abilities on himself in order to unlock the final step and improve the ones he had already manifested. All that was left now was to return to the tavern and heal up before heading back to Kumogakure.
Still actively roleplaying in any other threads? Not that I can think of. Been inactive for a while, but old character will be an NPC, so I can still finish any RPs that need to be finished if there are any.
Things that do NOT transfer with your next character: Major Element Card (Lightning), Item Hoarder Card are both character specific ASP items and as such aren't carried over to my new character. The rest is kept.
Final Notes: Please forward this to Sand Council aswell, for review of the family coming from Wind Country and having members end up in Suna. And Miraku is being NPC'd for the time being so I can still possibly use him, or rebirth into him later.

Applying for Kinjutsu: Temporal Strider
