Standing at the gates to the village, tapping his foot impatiently, Seirei looks around for the children he's supposed to be escorting out into the forest for their mission. Why they were allowing academy students out on a mission so dangerous, he hadn't a clue. Sure, they were soon to have their exam and graduate. But still, they were just kids! Sighing, he leans back against the gate and shifts so that he is standing in the shade. Thankfully, neither of these boys were Satsu's son. Seirei wasn't sure that he could handle being around him; the guilt that he felt was overwhelming and kept him awake most of the time. That was neither here nor there, though. Shoving the thoughts from his mind, he pushes off from the gate and starts walking towards the two figures he sees approaching eagerly.
"Hey! You two, over here. You must be the kids I'm escorting on the job today. I'm the Chūnin assigned to watch over you and make sure that nothing goes wrong. You may address me as Seirei-sensei or simply as Sensei. I'm not here to hold your hands; you apparently have proven yourselves capable of undertaking a mission such as this before graduating, which is a big deal. So stick by my side, listen to what I say, and things will be fine. I'll make sure that you kids make it out alive. Do you understand me? Stopping for a moment to allow the boys an opportunity to ask any questions, he will answer them before turning and walking towards the gates. Nodding to the guards, he points off to the east and looks over his shoulder at Akio and Keniwa. "Last report had the rogues out that way, so that's where we're going to start our search. Keep a step behind me so that I can cover you if anything goes wrong. We're not going sightseeing. This is a serious and potentially deadly job, so keep your eyes and ears open. Now let's go."
