Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.
This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Unlearning - Brink of Insanity (2 points for Rank 2)
RP for immediate use: 378 Words
Learning - Zaraki Style (2 points)Pacing back and forth, Roku would begin to eyeball the board before him. Upon it was information he had collected from Fuu, from his search for Hirotomi and the vague amount of information collected on the Sennin of the village. It was approaching. A war was coming. He had to be prepared, but right now he did not believe himself to be as prepared as possible. His last battle with Fuu showed him that his current style, one of brutality, was not running at its maximum capacity. Currently, his trump card from his training with his brother was to utilize a single attack that dealt a tremendous amount of damage to his opponent and himself. A single attack would not cut it moving forward. He needed to spread out his insanity while not diminishing his attacks. Relying on a single strike from the depths of his sanity would no longer be beneficial. Instead, he would begin practicing the stance he had reflexively shifted to while battling Fuu. It was something primal, something that felt natural. His brother had told him of an offensive style, but because it required actual training, Roku neglected it instead for a move that could only be described as the "Brink of Insanity". Now it was time to take up that formal training, it was time to finally learn that ancient style of battle.
Lining up his body, he would begin to feel out the best flow. The best way to forget the only style was to immediately begin to ingrain his body with the new one. Roku was always a hands-on learner anyways. Once his body was positioned in a way that felt right, that reminded him of his battle with Fuu, he would begin to strike outwardly. Each attack would cause a small pop in the air, a combination of his speed and the force he was creating. Little thunder claps would echo forth from the room, rattling the information he had scattered about. Each proceeding strike would grow in strength as his focus would be narrowed in on utilizing offense and completely ignoring protecting his body. While he was losing an ability with the name 'insanity' within it, his approach to fighting, his new style, would not be much more sane....

Abilities:
0. Hunter - ANBU Branch change to Sentinel
0. Shinobi 101 - Wind Element -> Melee Accuracy change to Kinetic Genjutsu -> Melee AccuracyRemoving his mask, Roku would plop down in a random chair within the ANBU Headquarters. His eyes would scan around, surveying his new shared kingdom and a sigh would escape his lips. His original mission, his original passion was to be the hunter that the village needed. Now, as war had already entered their village and chaos was yet to approach again, he could no longer justify being a hunter. He had to be something different, he had to be something that the village truly needed. What the village needed was someone that could protect it from the inside, not someone to chase on the outside. His philosophy on his ANBU tactics needed to be upgraded, retrained and reassessed. Now it was time for him to become a sentinel for the village; become a protector. His new position within the rank would mean his attention and devotion would turn to watching and not so much on tracking. He needed to maintain the prison, maintain the ranks and maintain the village... and in a village with no gate, he definitely had his work cut out for him. Pulling out a pad he would begin to map out his new routine, his new conditioning. With the need to be nearly omnipresent within the village, he would have to learn the all the village locations like second nature. After plotting out his routes, diagnosing the village of its weak points and getting more familiar with the true inner workings of the prison, he would be what the village needed.
1. Nimble Hands change to Called ShotFollowing his battle with Fuu, and the monsterous display of Mr. Six, Roku took the time to reflect on his actions and the outcomes. The situation with Mr. Six was harder to digest, mainly because he did not actually engage the beast, but his battle with Fuu did stick out. The outcome was in his favor, which was nice. What he dwelled upon, what bothered him the most was that it did not feel like he put everything on the table he could have. His trump card, the wind element, was not touched and he wasn't entirely sure it would have helped him against the paper element usage of the Oracle. So if his intended trump card wasn't used, what good was it. Fuu was definitely a worthy opponent, and in terms of actual humans she was the strongest he had ever faced. The Djinn and Mr. Six, neither human, so their absurd strength was not unusual in retrospect. So Fuu was his most challenging human competitor, and honestly even though he won, he still felt like his battle was lacking. One thing that was made apparent was that his current strategy lacked variance and quickly the Oracle was already turning his repeated actions against him. He needed something new, so cracking up a book he had not seen since the academy, Roku began doing two things he had not done in a long time; studying and attempting to understand genjutsu. While the mastery of gen did not really seem to be him, their was a specific type of genjutsu that fit him perfectly; the ability to manipulate and fool the human senses. Better understanding and learning how to use such techniques would allow him to not only inflict physical damage with his current tai prowess, but also cause the illusion of phsyical harm and debilitate his opponent before laying hands on them.
2. Bull's StrengthStill reviewing his battle with Fuu, Roku noticed another annoyance that seemed to pop up. He didn't utilize hand seals during his battle, so why did he waste time training himself to master the ability to cast seals while also holding a weapon. The next thought, now thinking about it, that pissed him off was the fact that he didn't even hold weapons! Sure, he had some in his arsenal, but his true reliance was on his fists and feet. Not only would he need to sit back and reassess his weaponry, but he would need to think about a way to build up his use of his hands. If he wasn't going to use them for seals maybe he could use them to further his damage output. Awhile back, Saemon had bragged about the damage he inflicted on Roku based on hitting vital points. The ability to strike certain parts of the body would not only increase the damage over time but could also add strain upon his body. Opening all eight gates, Roku got first hand reminder of the heavy strain that could be put on the body by damaging individual parts of the body. His limbs seemed to shatter, so why didn't he focus on inflicting that same pain to his opponents. Taking time to better understand the human body and the damage that could be gained from calling his shots, picking specific points to strike, he could increase his power output by tenfold. Breaking bones, breaking hearts and breaking souls would be his new MO. This change in fighting style would also allow him to build upon a strength he already held; precision. He couldn't just widely hit his opponent's body and hope to break it. No, it would require skill, precise strikes and his penchant for power.
3. Insight change to Acrobat
4. Healing FactorSpeaking on following up with his current strengths, while still reviewing the previous battle. His talent for insight, his intuition if you will, was helpful for most day to day things, sort of gave a little spider sense to him, but in the battle it did not seem to play out in his favor. There was a couple of instances, noticing poison and weapons being draw, but it did not truly impact his battle. What did aid him was his speed. In small bursts he could flicker away from an attack, avoiding the damage while following up with some damage of his own. But there was a limitation to his dodging skill, but what if it didn't have to be that way. He would flip through some of his collection of books, books that had never been touched by him. He would scan different fighting styles and different training methods that could enhance his abilities, and what he eventually found was acrobatics. It wasn't necessarily a fighting style, but it was a style that required physical ability. Retraining his body to not simply focus on strength but also focus on flexibility he could build up his damage mitigation through movement speed. He could no longer be a battering ram of muscle and rage, he needed to be fluid and graceful. The ability to not get hit would allow him to continue doing what he enjoyed to do anyways; hit people as hard as he possibly could. But what Fuu taught him was that even with his unnaturally high stamina, taking too many hits over time could still come back to hurt him more than he had previously realized. It was time to overcome and evolve past that limitation. Stretching for elasticity would become part of his new daily routine, well his workout routine. At this point it seemed he was developing one too many routines. But it had to be done, it was what needed to be done and he was willing to continue to craft his body into the weapon the village needed.
5. Bloody Mess change to Elemental Illusion
6. DuelistWith his recent change in focus to incorporate kinetic genjutsu into his arsenal, Roku came across a passage on taking genjutsu and enforcing them with the elements. This was an intriguing thought. Instead of focusing on causing his opponents to bleed, with his genjutsu he could actually buff them further with his own element affinities. Right now that would limit him a bit, but it was something that would push him to build upon in another aspect of his training. Chakra, the use of his affinities and the use of ninjutsu were things he had been neglecting, now by simply focusing on one ability he could improve upon various different aspects of his repitriore. Casting genjutsu would be the first challenge he would need to overcome, allowing it to become a more natural process and not look like a rookie that is barely able to create a seal with their hand. The next step in the process would be affixing his chakra, summoning forth his elemental affinity to channel into his genjutsu. The first would take time but the latter would definitely take more time. Trial and error would all he have until he could finally test out his new ability on an actual opponent.

Activating Wood Advanced Element
Flipping through the pages of the progress journal that Saemon was keeping on Roku, he came across a section titled, "True Nature". It was a curiously named title that would cause a smirk to appear on Roku's face. That smirk would not last long as his eyes would continue taking in the words written on the pages. It would seem that there was a true elemental nature within Roku, and advanced element where he could combine two of the five basic natures to form a new one, one that this journal seemed to stress as "life saving and life bringing". The element was Wood, and it seemed that Roku was one of the first in the series, that comment would be noted for later analyzing as it did not sit well with him, that happened to hold the necessary abilities to successfully use this "true nature". First, Roku apparently inherited the Earth elemental affinity, which was not uncommon, according to the report, for not only those in the program but also those in the Okayama clan as well. Second, Roku's early testing showed that he had the positive signs of also being able to utilize the Water elemental affinity. These two were necessary but not many in the makeshift village seemed to come with the access to water affinity naturally; most would be naturally inclined for Wind along with Earth.
Roku would continue to flip through the pages as it moved away from merely talking about the positives of infancy tests that gave them hope and more towards how one would go about unlocking the ability to merge these two elements together to make one. He would let out a sigh, it was rather burdensome to simply use his Earth ninjutsu, but it might have just been his lack of using ninjutsu in general that made it more of a strain than it should have been. Either way, he at least new he could utilize Earth. The next step would be determining if he was able to utilize water. In the desert, this was clearly the furthest thing from his mind as he rarely saw large amounts of water, so even beginning to rationalize the ability to summon forth the element from his body seemed absurd. However, the focus he had built up from his training on the use of genjutsu allowed him to quickly awaken and draw forth the element from his body, performing a couple of simple water based jutsu. Next, according to the book, he would need to focus each element harmoniously. The journal recommended imagining one element in one hand and the other in the other. Then, when sealing, push those chakra's towards one another to create this new ability. At first, the attempts would either be poorly made rock, water or in some cases mud creations that did not seem to have the full effect of either element. It appeared he was weakening his abilities with his half assed attempts. But being the stubborn one he was, Roku would continue to push himself to almost the bring of chakra loss exhaustion. In his final few attempts he would notice one thing that brought a smile up to his broken and exhausted face... as a small plant began to raise up from the ground. It was now time to refine on this success, once he had a little rest.
