Flowers are bright and colorful objects, often grown to adorn places or people. With scents ranging from mild to overwhelming they can serve as a distraction to a mask for poisons. The flowers in question were supposedly those grown for their bright red, but also had barbs. Kin didn't care much for flowers, his world was that of stone and brick; he liked it that way.
The client for the day's task wanted one of the students to move a "few" of the others out of her garden, her house in Seki would be the first point to stop off at. Out of the bed and into the streets, Kin found himself within a what seemed like a small forest of a home in minutes. Kin's nose felt stuffy and his head ached as the assault of scents overtook him.
"Well hello dear. Are you the cute little ninja who's come to help me out?" The woman's familiar and cutesy tone was commonplace for children, but not so common among the shinobi ranks.
"Yes ma'am. Where is the garden and when do your intruders normally come by," Kin's inquiry was short and to the point. Tto most it would seem he was trying to be all business and avoid acting his age, but the reality was his sensory overload taking a toll on his feeble mind.
"Such a cute little soldier. Well they are out there now and it's just around the back." Her voice sweet as can be and a loud "Thunk" coming from the garden. "Don't let them pluck any of my roses now." With a nod Kin made an abrupt about face and left. His feet letting off a soft ticking as his boots scuttled away.
Around the house the bushes seemed to grow even thicker. Kin didn't know if she sold flowers or if she just really liked them, perhaps the adults called her obsessed. The "small" garden out back was actually very tame. Just a small plot of land with rows of crimson and brick colored flowers. With no children in sight Kin stepped into the small lot. Peeking around a large green bush Kin saw a pair of students, kneeling and watching a bee dance over the petals of a bright red rose. "You can't be here anymore," Kin said, trying to sound commanding.
"Says who?"
"The council has released a mission for your removal."
"Why would they do that? We aren't doing anything."
"The owner wants her flowers left alone."
"Why didn't she come tell us?"
"It's not our job to decide how others live."
"Then go away, we'll pick when we go."
Kin slid a kunai from one of his stomach pouches and flashed some light at the two other students. "I was told to use force if I needed to." Lethal force hadn't been authorized, but the thought of actually killing someone hadn't crossed his mind. The two kids frowned and plucked the flower they were looking over. The bee fluttered off as the two kids stood up and walked away. "Please do not come back." No force needed, no blood shed, the task completed.
