Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Round 'Em Up! D Rank Mission

"I'm a bit hungry as well,"Doi responded to Yuu. The clone Yuu made had already taken off towards the village, and that left the pair of teammates a some time to relax. They were both hungry but finding food would be an issue. The elderly couple had to deal with their goods being stolen, so ask asking them for food would seem a little insensitive when they're going to a tough time. The forest itself usually has various types of edible vegetation and berries, but the current situation made it seem like they were unlikely to find anything. Lack of food was the reason why the forest animals decided to ransack the elderly couple's carriage in the first place. If the animals who live in this forest couldn't find food, Yuu and Doi didn't stand much of a chance.

"We might be out of luck." Doi sighed as he looked around the area. "Unless you can use your Rinnegan to make food out of thin air, we probably won't find something to eat." He didn't know how hungry Yuu was, but he felt like he could personally hold off on eating until he got home. None the less, they still had some time to spare before the clone came back. Maybe Yuu could come up with a brilliant idea in the meantime?

Doi's thoughts suddenly turned back to the original issue. What could the poachers be doing at this time? He doubted they'd be able to pack-up and leave before their request was confirmed by the village, but it wasn't impossible.

As the clone took off toward the village, it would find no encounter on its pathway. A smooth ride was before the clone as it made its way to the Torre Celeste, the center of the village. The two Shinobi went back and forth about food before Yuu already jumped in the carriage with the ornery old woman. Yet she would smile and fan herself as the perfect house wife should. Furui-San bellowed a large laugh at Doi’s comments and clapped his wands. Quickly the round old heeded hobbled behind him and began pushing him toward the carriage.

“Haha! Come on boy! You two just saved the day! I’ll cool ya up a meal at our store. Hot and ready!”

He pushed the ninja into the carriage with his comrade and the house wife. Who once again, smiled behind a waving a fan. The light in her eyes would emanate a smiling face. Furui-San slammed the door shut, manned the front and whipped the reigns to his highly convenient convertible wagon. He the oxen began to pull and they trucked on slowly. The man yelled back.

“Ya know, this thing is actually a car! I just can’t afford the gas to power the darn thing! Hahahaha! Luckily we got these two big bad boys right here!”

As they rode into the city, Furui-San would continue his old man rants until they arrived. On the inside, the old lady would spark a couple question for the boys from behind her waving fan.

“Why did you boys even bother to save old people like us, don’t you guys have more pressing matters to deal with?”

"Yeah, like that would happen."

As much he wanted that to happen, he doubted Yuri would say otherwise due to him studying more about their Kinjutsu. But on a serious note, he knew that the old man was offering them out of gratitude for their actions, so he knew he can't pass this offer. "Still, we might accept this guy's offer. We did everything that we can right now. Besides, it's wrong for us to pass this offer for free lunch."

Just as he sat down inside the cart, Yuu's eyes widened at what the old man just said about it. "What do you mean this is a caAAAAAGGGGHHHHH?!!" He should have shut his mouth the whole ride as he ended up hanging for his life on the sudden rush of speed by the cart's contraption. He only stopped screaming just as they arrived at their destination just as he panted in exhaustion and relief.

Once he recovered from his sudden shock (and car sickness), he heard the old woman's question regarding what they did to the couple. "Yeah, we're aware of bigger things back in the forest. Though, it's not because of our original objective right here. We just want to help you two out and if we do abandon our original mission, I won't forgive myself for it. Right, Doi?"

[WC: 222]

"Thank you for your hospitality," Doi said as he bowed towards the old man. It was very kind of the couple to offer them food, despite their current situation. Doi once again offered the old man's wife a greeting once they were seated inside the cart, and made himself comfortable. The old man manned the front of the convertible wagon, and yelled back to them once the oxen began to move.
“Ya know, this thing is actually a car! I just can’t afford the gas to power the darn thing! Hahahaha! Luckily we got these two big bad boys right here!”

"Is that right? That's pretty interesting. You don't see cars every day."

The group's ride continued with the old man talking back to them from the front of the wagon and Doi responding every now and then. An ox driven cart isn't the fastest mode of transportation, but listening to the old man's stories made it worthwhile in his opinion. He spoke of his children, his past, and went into detail about a few of his experiences. The man had some pretty interesting things to say.

After a while, the elderly woman inside of the cart with them spoke up to Doi and Yuu. This drew Doi, who was in the middle of listening to one of the old man's tales' attention. The woman voice her question and it seemed she was wondering why the pair came to their aid instead of doing something more important. Yuu was the first to respond to the elderly woman, and Doi followed suit.

"Yuu's right, aiding you two is our main objective. We've got to see it through."
Doi paused before continuing. "Besides, it's my first mission. I want to make sure it's done well, ya' know."

Doi smiled at the elderly woman and made to look out of the wagon's window. "We can deal with the poachers later."

The ride was a rather elongated one, but it was filled with conversation and laughter. Furui San was compelled by laughter to Yuu’s response of their transport actually being a car. Doi seemed approving of it, although it didn’t travel properly. It would still make a great vessel to carry goods and people. They entered the city and slow trot of the vehicle made it easy for people to notice and recognize the old geezer.

Meanwhile the old lady remained quiet after the two gave more than adequate answers to accommodate her curiosity. She was pleased to know she resides in a town with such a dedicated and caring military force. She truly believed none will help, nil, because she believed there was more and important events. Yet, there was always someone who strived to do their best. Their vigor reminded her of her cheering and jolly husband, who was waving down every passing villager.

“Welp, we here boys! Let me get that door for ya!”

Furui San jumped off the carriage and walked over to the hatch door and swung it open. He would reveal a hole in the whole small restaurant. It even had the name in lights, although some letters were missing. It read, “Ultimate Noodle House.” The letters that were still bright, were flashing, an indication that their life span too, had reached its end. Furui San looked to his establishment with his hands on his hips, chin up and chest out. He was proud.

“Oh! My lady, after you of course.”

He would bow and extend his hand to help her down the small steps. The ninja were welcome to leave however they like, rather in style or normally as citizens would. Just then the front door burst open with grandchildren no olden than thirteen. They rushed the cargo and began unloading the caravan.

“Hey kids! Be sure to thank these young Shinobi! They helped us out back in the forest! My do I have a story to tell you guys! Oh oh! Whip up a big pot of broth. Come on Yuu, Doi!”

Once the two would walk in, they would see a small dining room, complete with a small bar and four sets of tables with two booths. The kitchen was behind the bar, with the cooking done on site and in plain view. The aroma would thicken the atmosphere and to most, would begin cause salivation of the jaws. Furui’s wife took refuge in the manger office, where some homey furniture kept her comfy. The kids played in the dining room after prepping veggies and meat, also the broth. Furui San began sprinkling secret family ingredients and the foreign spices he treks for far to purchase.

While he was still recovering from his shock, he still unable to contain it once he saw the restaurant in front of him. Sure, it looked very small, but it was enough to make him stared in awe at the fading neon sign above him. Excited at what was inside it, Yuu quickly entered the establishment, which he was greeted by the old man's grandchildren. Just seeing them reminded him so much of his siblings, which he responded with a big grin and a wave to them.

"And while you at it, just hit me with any kind of noodles and meal you got! I just can't wait to enjoy your meals here!" He said just as he sat on his seat to wait for dinner to be ready. While the old couple were cooking, Yuu decided to entertain their grandchildren with his Flash Ball jutsu. It was a perfect jutsu that he made years ago since he just made not only to serve it as a flashlight, but to entertain children like his siblings to prevent boredom. It only took him a while to smell the broth as he toss the three spheres of weak electricity into the air before they dispersed harmlessly as they fall onto the children's head or hands. "It smells delicious already! We're just glad we took that mission. If we didn't, you wouldn't able to support your family with this restaurant. I know how it feels when something yanks away the only thing you care about for your family."

They'd finally arrived at their destination. Doi gave the old man a 'thank you' as hopped out of the carriage and was greeted by the sight a sign that in bright letters read "Ultimate Noodle House". He noticed that some of the individual bulbs were flickering randomly and looked like they could go out at any second. They'd probably need to be changed really soon. Doi looked down from bright sign and glanced over at the old man. It was very obvious that the man was very proud of his little establishment from his body language alone. Sometimes actions say more than words.

Not too long after they arrived did the front door promptly swing open to reveal a group of kids. The kids didn't seem to be much younger than Doi. The whitehaired genin watched on as they quickly stormed the carriage and began to unload the boxes of cargo. They probably wouldn't take long unloading because there were quite a few of them.

The old man then welcomed the two shinobi into the small restaurant. Doi took a seat at the bar and looked around the dining room. It wasn't very big, but the room gave Doi a nice vibe. It felt very home-like. "Thanks again for offering us food," Doi said. It was very kind of them to go out of their way to feed them. Especially when it was their mission to assist them.

The food's aroma was starting to get to Doi. He wouldn't admit it, but he was growing hungrier by the second because of it. He didn't really care what it was they were cooking as long as it tasted as good as it smelled.

Doi remained quiet and watched as Yuu interacted with the grandchildren that weren't busy prepping the meal. The jutsu he was showing them was pretty cool. Hopefully it wouldn't be long before they could eat.

Botan proceeded to get comfy and awaited the completion of dinner. The kids all raved about Yuu’s jutsu. They were jumping and shouting and laughing all the while trying to catch the ball. It didn’t take long for the man to whip up a large pot and start pouring several bowls. He first fed the kids who bum rushed him like a horde of stampeding gazelles. The man chuckled and even Botan blew a raspberry at the kids from a distance with a side eye.
“Dinner is served!”
The man poured two large bowls for the shinobi, teamed with assorted hearty vegetables and various meets from beef, pork and chicken. It would steam in their faces and Botan took a seat next to them receiving her bowl as well. Furui san just ate in front of them behind the bar with a large smile.

OOC: Im over cap, this could be last post for you guys. Have fun, will post completion soon. Again sorry for the extended delay on this mission =/

Just the sight of vegetables and meat made his mouth watered as his eyes widened to stare at the meal Furui-san made. All Yuu can say was "Itadakimasu!" before he dug in with some food that he can handle. It really was a long day for him and Doi, but at least their efforts weren't a waste as they did manage to finish their mission despite the horrifying discovery. The poachers were still on the loose, but all he can hope for was that the higher-ups would do something about it as well that they may send him and Doi to catch the hunters.

But there was one more thing that he was bothered with that mission. What are those machines and how did it make the animals gone berserk? More importantly, what were those poachers' motives in that forest? He needed more than answers as he knew this might be a tough mission if they take it. Maybe he may try to ask his parasite for his aid if it happens.

If all of them are finished with their meal, Yuu took the time to thank them for their hospitality right in front of their restaurant and promised to help them again in the near future. However, he can't leave yet without acknowledging Doi's cooperation. "Hey Doi, thanks again for having my back. Those poachers might have gotten away, but I assure you, we can catch them no matter." And he was sure of it. He already strong enough to beat them as well having the power of the Rikudo Sennin along with Yuri's abilities. "In fact, if we do meet again, I can let you meet my friend and partner. He might be a little high strung, but he's strong and smart enough to fight alongside me." He felt it might be a bad idea vaguely mentioned about Yuri, but it won't hurt just to try to tell him about him.

"Well, I better head off before Yasu does something stupid with my weapons again. See you soon, everyone!" With that said, Yuu said his farewells to Doi and the couple before he left in order to go back home for a day. This mission might have ended with bittersweet results, but at least they managed to help the couple. Regardless, the faster the higher-ups review their reports, the faster he can chase them down and be put on justice. But if that was the case, he may need to rely on Yuri's aid this time. With their weapons and machinery, he knew that even he or Doi can't do this alone.

He just hoped nothing bad happens during this intermission of life.

The much awaited foods was finally ready, and Doi had to admit... it looked absolutely delicious. In front of his was a large bowl filled with various different kinds of vegetables and different kinds of meats. Beef, pork, chicken... it was all there. It was the perfect meal to eat after a long day. Turning to his side, Doi looked over at Yuu and saw the older boy was already digging in to his bowl. Without a seconds thought, he began to dig into his meal too.

Once he and Yuu had finished their meals, they both thanked the elderly couple for feeding them.

"It's no problem, Yuu." Doi replied to Yuu thanking him. "Yeah, we'll get them next time." They really would have the to fix the issue of the poachers running around the Ancient Forest before it became an even bigger issue. Who knows what they were up to? All that machinery they saw certainly didn't do much to quell Doi's curiosity. It just made him even more curious. "Sure, I'd be more than willing to meet your partner. Just let me know." There probably wouldn't be any harm in meeting Yuu's friend.

After Yuu had said goodbye and gone his own way, Doi did the same and made way for his home in Kumogakure's residential area. It had been a long day all in all. Despite that, Doi was happy he had managed to complete his first mission ever. As he walked down the path that would lead him straight home, Doi thought about what they could do to stop the poachers from harming the Ancient Forest's ecosystem. A lot of animals lived, and depended on that area. All kinds of them. The poachers were also very aggressive against him and Yuu, so they must've known what they were doing was wrong to some degree.

Oh well. They'll be dealt with in due time.
