"This? This is your palace? It's not very fitting for a King." Joou would speak as she looked at the house of the Steward. "I think this is the smallest your home has ever been." The Wasp Queen spoke as she buzzed about. The Steward looked at his home and then at the Queen. "My. My. My. This won't do. Not in the slightest. You're going to need a bigger house... oh. Yes. Ken won't even fit it at all." Joou rose up and flew about the house. The Wasp Queen was said to have aided Shiro in the battles against the Sunahoshi who sought to overthrow Kai, and later aided him against the Merchant Lord who secreted her away. "Well... you do have an orange tree. That will last Ken about a few seconds."
"House is small. Little King. Little House. Is Fine." Spoke the hulking Hercules Beetle. The lumbering giant knelt down and looked at the Takahashi residence. "Oranges. Ken loves oranges." The giant beetle single handedly picked up the orange tree and devoured it in a single bite. "Ken like. Does Little King have more?" He inquired. The Steward looked back and forth. Yes. Did he know that he was going to be in the deep this much? Yes. Sign on the dotted line. Read the fine print. Sousuke read the fine print multiple times. Did he know though that his new allies were going to be this massive? The Steward always had a fascination for insects... but most of them were smaller. These two were huge. The Steward was utterly fascinated with these two but equally concerned for them ... and his household. If Ken tripped, he could so much as crush the entire Takahashi household! "Little King not speaking. Is he okay Queen J?" Ken would simply set himself down to look at Sousuke.
"You're being spoken to. It's rude not to answer." Joou would speak up. The large wasp came down to look at her King-to-be. Granted he was human, but still. Every good King needed a Queen to council him in all things. "Are you sick? Certainly the descendant of Shiro doesn't become a mute on occasion." Sousuke opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. "He is a mute. How troublesome. We're going to have to help the King find his voice."
"Where shall Ken look for voice?" Spoke the Hercules Beetle. He rose his head and looked about. "Ken wants to help the little King. We were told to help him become better."
"I have a voice."<i></i> Sousuke would begin. "And.. I'm not the King. I'm the Steward... or if you like Guardian Protectorate of the Realm."<i></i> Sousuke approached Ken and began to climb up the leg of the Giant Beetle. Sousuke's grip failed him but quickly enough the massive hand of Ken gathered the little Steward and brought up him. Sousuke felt small. He felt helpless. He felt insignificant. This creature could easily crush him with his hands. "Oh. The oranges. Well I do have some in the house, but I don't think it's enough to feed you ... properly. A massive being of your size requires alot of food... I'm sorry Ken. I don't think I can properly feed you."<i></i> Sousuke rubbed the back of his neck. He hoped he wouldn't anger the great insect.
Joou began to chuckle. "The little king who apologizes. Ahh... that amuses me." The Wasp Queen flew slightly closer to look at her partner. Her king. Not that he would be equal to her. Oh no. She had to make him better. More kingly. "Never do that again. Apologize that is. You can apologize to me, but you only me. A royal never apologizes." Joou spoke.
"I'm not a royal..."<i></i> Sousuke attempted to interject, before Joou gave him a very vicious look. "I am of noble blood. I am a Takahashi, descendant of the First Men."<i></i> He spoke asserting himself. "Ken, place me on your head. Would you kindly?"<i></i> Ken complied, and the Steward soon enough found himself standing upon the head of Ken overlooking the village. "Quite the view. I only get a view like this from the Kazekage Tower."<i></i> Sousuke pointed over to the platinum tower.
"That... that is kingly. That is where your throne lies?" Joou inquired putting special emphasis on the word, throne. The Steward paused for a moment, but ultimately he nodded. "Good. All Kings need a throne. Now tell me Guardian-Protectorate of the Realm..." She spoke using a term she knew that the young man would be comfortable with. His ego needed to grow, but one bit at a time. He needed to be molded. "Is there ... a young princess you have an eye on? You may have me on your side, but you need a Queen of ... your race."
"Ken wants to know too. Tell us. Tell us. Little King must be popular with the ladies... right?" The great Hercules Beetle would inquire as well. Sousuke would pat Ken on the head. He was being a little loud ... and certainly the entire neighborhood was already watching this...
"Yes. There is one lady I have an eye on."<i></i> Sousuke wasn't exactly sure where Yume was in the hierarchy of the Inuzuka nobility.
"Splendid. I will need to meet her, and judge her. She must be fit for you." Joou would quickly speak. "Shiro never married. Kai wasn't a good for him. She was too young and far too needy. I did council Shiro to marry Lady Inuzuka Kin, and I think he would have too." The Queen Wasp tapped her appendages together. Oh. So much do to, so little time. "I expect a royal wedding in the year. I expect nothing but the best. Tell me, are your planners incompetent? If so... then I will have Nemuri put things together. She has good taste."
