300 Word RP: Gen Ryu is not only an expert puppeteer but also an unusual puppet maker. As an above average puppeteer she does not always use chakra strings to control her puppets. Sometime she does what is referred to as puppet channeling, which is of course a jutsu that allows a puppeteer to do just that, puppeteer without the use of chakra strings. However, how this jutsu works might vary from puppeteer to puppeteer; most of them have their own individual means of casting such a jutsu. How this jutsu works for Ryu is that she uses the advance element of magnetism. It is the base structure that is nearly identical to each puppet that is the key to her puppet channeling through magnetism. The based form of the puppet consists of a clay skeletal structure covered with a ninja wire musculature. This form is an attempt to replicate a real human body which is rare for most puppets. Most puppet makers take a simpler approach and make their puppets out of one material. True Ryu could have made the puppet mostly out of metal and still be able to use magnetism to move it, but a puppet like that would be quite heavy. A puppet of that weight difficult to lift and control even with puppet strings and pretty much anyone would be able to tell right away that the puppet is not a human; this is not what Ryu wants in a puppet. The ninja wire musculature provides the material needed for magnetic control while keeping the puppet light. The ninja wire muscles also make the puppet’s movements fluid even while being controlled through magnetism. Now after months of practice of the advance element on people surely she is good enough to use the advance element on living people using jutsu specifically meant for such an element.
