Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Character's Physical Description: Long mid-back length golden hair flows down from the man’s head in waves and is oft considered some to be the most beautiful locks in all of Suna. This hair followed by a playful look with his heterochromatic eyes are generally the second and third things everyone notices when looking at the far too beautiful seven foot man. The first is the long worn out white cloak he has fastened around his shoulders. Upon closer inspection most will realize that it's an old lab coat that has been amaturally refurbished into the cloth's current form. He is never seen without it. Generally his clothing ranges from anything he feels like wearing to nothing at all, but, he is always wearing the tattered remains of his lab coat. Apparently it was the last gift given to him by Okibi, and the last remaining personal item to survive from his previous life. In the rare times his body requires rest he often uses this coat as his blanket.
Tama is a ‘wirery’ build type and is considered surprisingly muscular. He wears clothing that don’t appear any looser on him than normal but no one would ever see him as very ‘muscular’ until bare flesh is exposed. Beneath his clothing every muscle has been defined and hand crafted by his own to be in perfect peak shape to as far as the human body is naturally capable of. He is able to maintain this body shape without spending a single moment to physical training due to his special Hybrid form.
Mentality: Tama is of an odd sorts of mind. One would go as far to call him crazy and compare his attitude to that of a cat - uncaring, cruel, and sometimes playful. Yet that is only the surface that he allows people to see. While he goes about pretending not to care about anything, sometimes going as far to make things worse to prove his lack of cares given, he's actually way too concerned. A man known for dramatics and being painfully prideful not a lot of people willingly go near the scientist and ask anything of him, especially since his return to work and despite his sunny disposition at most conversations. It’s like the prey danger sense for Humans triggers in his presence.
Despite this the Tama of the Now manages to keep his head held hide as his pride will have little else. While he tries his hardest not to let it slip he genuinely believes he is better than most of the human race despite how much he struggles to keep himself as humble as possible. His Ancient heritage, despite having far more control over it now, still forces him to often argue with his own brain; sometimes out loud. Also while he no longer has a nasty dislike for the female gender, he still remains in absolute terror of them. Of all the things in his personality he could removed in the recreation of his fleshy brain the man forgot to remove his abstract terror of the Human female gender.
Character History:
Tama was considered a legendary doctor at one time, and is at least still a renown scientist who was the driving genius behind the chakra coil transplant surgery.
As a child he suffered from a curse that was a mix of his heritage's cursed chakra and the awakened Hunger of his unknown Ancient heritage by Mikaboshi. The curse caused the chakra in his body to continuously keep his physical shape in peak conditions at all times meaning he couldn't get sick or suffer weariness. The draw back was he aged at an alarming rate.
Every fight he utilized his chakra he took the chance of aging by years and the endless nights of eternal energy that allowed him to research his craft for days without sleep caused these effects as well, but thankfully slower. The only thing that would slow down the process of aging at all was consuming the souls of humans.
At first the very act of killing was something Tama wasn’t even capable of and just decided to suffer through the hunger pains as he continued to age day by day. Every once in awhile he would come across a dying person in an alley and sit by to wait for their death before sneaking in like a rat to consume their memories and life essence. Despite Mikaboshi’s warnings on viewing a Soul’s memories, the curious boy followed in the steps of his father and committed to his taboos by becoming somewhat addicted to living out the lives of dead people. This contributed later in life his current madness and hard-to-nail personality that can appear to flip at any time.
It wasn't until he was about thirteen that he made a friend during the explosion of one of his more volatile researches, Okibi, did he even start to look at life as something to be part of. Lost for so long in the memories of Dead Suna he had lost himself in the constant expiriements of prodding at life that her vibrant and off-beat additude through his mind off it’s current track of thinking. She had a way of doing that with nearly everyone.
Through her he was able to meet his then idol, Sousuke, and the three formed a kind of friendship; fitting as she was the Kazekage's ward. However not very long after becoming friends she was kidnapped and Tama could only sit back in Suna and watch. Unfortunately, despite the Stewart nearly losing his life, he was unable to find his ward and Okibi remained missing for some time.
During this kidnapping and years of disappearance the scientist had finally worked out a way to stop his cursed aging and put a stopper on the craving for human souls caused by his own chakra wearing him down. Due to the whole of the village being stuck underground the scientists of Suna were always coming up with new inventions and advancing technology as they had little else to do. This sparked something called, ‘The Science Wars’, where rival scientists began trying to kill each other over contracts and fame. Tama, his research mysteriously leaked out, was a target of these attacks as well despite how well he tried to stay out of it all. However, once sucked in, the young scientists ended up transplanting his own chakra coil for an artificial one of his own design first, then later a real one "donated" by a rival scientist. The results was he all but stopped the aging and managed to slow it down to a trickle compared to the normal aging process.
This seemingly nicked the entire curse in the bud and he was able to live a "normal" life despite having aged nearly a decade in the span of two or three years.
Tama and Uzu’s ‘partnership’ also started here but that’s another story.
It was during this time that he was struck with a great sense of depression and loneliness. Having crafted a surgery technique that would change the face of the medical field he had already lived the dream of leaving a mark on the world and now sought out companionship of any kind. All he had known during this time was the Kazekage but to Tama the man was more of an older brother and really only felt like ever bothering the man when it came to science and private projects. He often worried that his very presence would invoke memories of the ward he had lost. Both their lives did change for the better after some time though, as his friend had crawled back from hell itself and back into their village.
Okibi was beaten and was nothing like the girl he had known a few years ago. For the first time since the tragic murder of his mother, he felt his heart ache for another human being. Immediately he dropped all of his research and projects at the time to focus everything he had into her recovery. It was a long road but eventually his efforts showed and despite the fact Tama had grown into a deadly fear of the presence of women, or perhaps because of, she eventually feel in love with the crazy man. He was able to fix her body and calm back the emotional scars of her time spend away kidnapped until she was able to return to public. She was able to chase away his demons and the terror he felt in a person's touch that made his heart soften enough to also finally fall completely head over heels for her. The two shared each other's life for a short couple of years before information about Okibi's capture's location reached them. Sousuke, Tama, and Okibi all went out in a three-man team to destroy the evil that took her away from them.
In the chaos that followed Tama was forced to feed back into the Ancient blood inside of him and devour the soul of a twisted man to survive heavy wounds. Having taken in the soul of another human once again for the first time in years reactivated the curse inside of his body though he wouldn't find out until much later. After the battle against the kidnappers Okibi was reunited with her son that she was unaware of even having, causing suppressed memories to resurface ever harder about everything she had been through here.
The emotional trauma of the entire mission was a weight that pulled on them all heavy even as they devised a way to break past the Cabal's attack on their village that happened while they were away. Unsure of their place in the world now and a weight of responsibility they were unprepared for in the Cabale attack the two decided to leave her child behind with Sousuke and disappeared into the desert to find a life away from the military...or so they would have. Unfortunately for Tama the soul he had tried to consume came back up like bad heartburn and took control of his body. His physical form attack Okibi and after a fierce fight, and nearly beating her own lover to death, the wolf-child’s mind snapped. The last thing he remembered of her was walking into the Malestrom to never be seen again. Away from any help and stuck moments from dying the man looked into the stormy sky and reflected on his life as he prepared to die.
Or so he thought.
Years after the battle for Sunagakure and rising to the surface Tama awoke from a deep slumber in the run down ruins of his house’s secret basement. He was sealed inside of a chamber that was placing his body in a sort of stasis via a mysterious fluid. When emerged from his slumber the man found himself in the body of an elder. There were no memories of anything past walking into the desert with Okibi. He also had no control over his own body as it seemed to move around as the Soul that came back had managed to take control of the scientist. In his awakening he was met with another of the Ancients he had been unaware of even existing, Shiori. She saw through the deception of the thing that woke up with Tama's body. The soul of evil that he had attempted to devour years ago thought itself in full control of the scientist's body. It boasted to the Ancient before him how it had forced Tama's lover to attack him and beat him nearly to death. The willpower of the scientist's soul woke up after seeing the memories being played in his own mind and with use of the Ancient powers he still could still barely touch, managed to dissolve and consume the Uchiha's soul. It reversed some of the aging a little, but his mind was still dodgy. Taking advantage of that Shiori decided to aim this man at Sousuke, the Kazekage and friend to Tama whom he had turned his back on. She claimed that he had stole his child and raised it as his own. While something about the entire thing sounded weird he decided it could be true enough at the time and went along with it.
In the short few months following his awakening Tama slowly began to go mad without the presence of Okibi there to balance him out. The idea that his best friend had stolen his child became more and more vivid until in desperation to gain enough power to face the Kazekage he called on the devil himself: Mikaboshi. The two had something of an odd Master/Student relationship as the Ancient since he was the one who tapped the hidden powers flowing through Tama's body when he was a child. In a gamble for power or death he asked his master if there was a way to force out the power of his Ancient side completely. With a wicked look and an all too ready willingness to do so he agreed to drag the power out of Tama or kill him trying. Thankfully for the scientist his amazing willpower held through the battle and was able to draw out the latent Ancient energy into the forefront of his being after reassembling his body from mortal to energy. However the immortal being demanded that now he had this power he was not allowed to attack Sousuke no mater what. Being that he was merely a Hybrid, a form of Ancient energy held together by a Human Soul, the newly formed being forced himself to bend.
Having destroyed his body and reforging it the Ryuu was able to retain his main personality and memories but truth was he was now entirely something else all together. His power over the sky itself was far more than he was willing to waste on a mortal child that might be his and soon his cares for Sousuke faded away. The cares for Okibi, country, and fellow man had all but vanished as well and so until he could decide what it was he did care for, so would he. The scientist left the village for some time and traveled the desert for years looking for that answer.
What came of it was a slow rise to power in the Underground.
With the power of the Solar Courts at his fingertips he also felt the Court’s stinging pride and the need to control and rule over something. He descended into the Black Market first and seized control of key businesses and trade routes that kept the current crime lords of the time where they were. Then, one by one, the hybrid slowly murdered all of them. The last one took his life long before the Death Storm, as they were calling the malevolent specter, could. With no one to oppose him he spent the next decade quietly creating an empire beneath the city that was trying to move on and forget their life down there. Eventually the scientist would begin to pick at Sousuke and mess with the ANBU but finally slipped up when someone started circulating his name into the public again after it had gone unmentioned for over three years. He appeared before the ex-Kazekage and his, then unknown to him, half-brother. After kidnapping a random stranger and declaring war he slipped back to the Underground to wait for his old friend to inevitably attack.
Truth of the matter was the Hybrid was bored, his memories were bitterly returning stronger as the Human Soul hated how the Ancient side was controlling his new body. The being was ready to die. Something about his life had completely changed when Mikaboshi transformed his body and he took on a form of energy. Something in his mind had lost a spark and no matter how much he controlled it never felt like enough. He had hoped that Takahashi Sousuke would give him an end; instead he brought with him a reason to live.
Toraono Michino in a twist of events, revealed himself through a chakra signature to be related to the Ryuu during the bloody battle between the Hybrid and the Steward. The chakra signal triggered Okibi’s voice in the back of his mind and for the longest time Tama would believe Michino his son until paranoia and pride would dictate he find out otherwise.
The Hybrid was captured, taken to court, tried, and put under a house arrest under the Steward’s watchful eye. He was only spared as his humanity had finally started to return in his last few moments when he thought death was certain for either himself or his son. In a strange twist Mikaboshi ended up saving both their lives and no doubt had a silent hand in keeping his student out of prison as well despite his numerous illegal deeds.
In the year that followed he was kept under the supervision of Sousuke in his own home so as to kick his nasty habit of eating human souls and switch to something less...evil. He was forced into a community service to work on all the mysterious cases in the hospital backlogs while under roof, and in that time the scientist revealed himself to be a general jack-ass with absolutely no father skills to speak of. The newly joined father and ‘son’ spent the entire year fighting and hating each other due to their wildly different personalities and views. Despite the Steward and even Judori’s attempts to mend the relationship it never came to being any deeper than just what they were by name; related. After his time was up and Sousuke could vouch that he was at the very least no longer a threat to Suna they unfroze his old bank accounts and allowed him to purchase his own home once more. As if to spite Sousuke and his family Tama bought the closest house he could get.
Shortly after the man turned a birthday party on its head and ostracized himself from both the Takahashi household and the Toraono in a single move. The man revealed that Michino was his half-brother, ruining the poor guy’s life even more than it already was, and shortly after committed himself to the lab in his garage. For months not a soul saw his face or wild silver hair as he worked on creating a new body that would house his human soul and bring his Ancient side under his full control to keep from ever allowing, ‘That Day’, to happen again. He had just finished writing the last scroll-work on an ancient piece of paper needed for his transformation when, through a reliable source called his ‘Oh Shit’ detector, felt the presence of his long-lost father. The idea that Tengokai existed still was something that haunted him but not something the scientist gave much thought too to keep from distracting him. Now the man was mysteriously back and he had a feeling wasn’t after his eldest son this time.
After an hour of putting yen in the right hands the Hybrid found that his brother was at a fancy restaurant in the Crystal District. He hurried to the place as fast as he could but by the time he made it the evil inside was already making his moves. Placed in a horrible disadvantage again, just like he was when faced against Teng last time, the Hybrid was forced to make the ultimate sacrifice to keep his dear friend Sousuke from receiving a blow that might have killed him. Teng absorbed his eldest’s son’s soul and just like Tama once did, took a portion of the scientist’s late-life memories to better fight the Steward.
Thankfully Michino found the scroll that Tama had invested months of work into and used it in self defense as he had barely managed to transcribe even a part of it in time. Teng’s arm and black energy was directly absorbed into the scroll after he removed it himself before transforming in a bid to escape the strange paper that seemed to be eating his soul.
The scroll drew everything it could of Tama’s Soul, and any other Soul Teng was using for spare energy and trapped it all down into the seal to be reconfigured; all it needed was one last ingrediant. Moments after his brother’s blood splattered against it to activate the last trigger, the Ninjutsu written on it crackled to life. Using the DNA coding of the Ryuu from Michino's blood combined with his Soul formed the core of this body. The Solar Court powers that had been drawn from his bloodline became enhanced under the power and endurance natural to the Toraono DNA now mixed in. The Ancient Energy called to all the Souls that had been absorbed into the scroll along with Tama's to reconstruct his body back into a mortal form. The careful work placed into the scroll rapidly reconstructed his body using the highest levels of Ninjutsu and Science until the golden light that had exploded from the scroll revealed a nude reborn Ryuu Tama - around the age he was when he left Suna with Okibi.
All of his memories of everything post walking into the desert with Okibi were absorbed by his father in a bid for strategy leaving the scroll to decipher what little memories were left and create the almost perfect body. Had the scientist retained the memories of creating the scroll he possibly could of been able to activate everything subconsciously and might have even recreated himself as a full-blooded Ancient, but, due to the battle and desperation he was instead given a second chance at his life; far more than most men in his disposition get. In the return of his life his power has taken on a special property that separates him even further from the shinobi community. His chakra is being produced not by himself, but purely by his Ancient side causing it to take on a translucent form when used. Every last jutsu he uses has a strange clear property while simultaneously bordered in a color similar to the original form of the element. I.E. his fire jutsu have a red and orange border to the flames while the bulk of the heat itself is a translucent orange.

The owning of the contract between Tama and the Lizard Realm is one spoken of in rumors among the reptilian kind. It wasn't simply the scientist's endurance and strange ability to regenerate rapidly that impressed the Overlord of the Realm, but his tenacity for the pursuit of knowledge.
During his time wandering the desert looking for his lover Okibi after transforming into a full Hybrid Ancient, the scientist came across a strange monolith in the middle of some ancient ruins in the Northern parts of the Wind Country near the border with Iragakure. It was made of pure obsidian like substance and on it were strange runes that had been carved into the stone with an unbelievably sharp instrument; each letter had been been done in a single stroke. For untold centuries this monolith has stood up against the test of time, the Maelstrom, and the natural wear of nature itself. It looked brand new when compared to the other pillars and ruins that surrounded it. The runes carved into the rock with a force that mankind has been unable to replicate remained a mystery to everyone who had accidentally come across the black stone; until Ryuu Tama stumbled near it.
The letters carved into the stone were of ancient writings done by the hands of his own clan, the Ryuu. It was an old secret language that was shared between the elders of his tribe as they moved across the known world. Tama only knew it himself because his mother had known it and drilled it into his head only months before her murder.
After an hour he had deciphered that the inscription told him the rock was a 'door' that would open if 'fed' energy. Placing his hand flat against the cold black stone he pulsed a little of his own chakra into the rock as a simple test. The very moment he did so the runes activated and he was transported in the blink of an eye into a very hellish and harsh environment. The very heat that rolled over him as the wind blew by would have scorched a normal being but thankfully Tama was far from 'normal'.
Standing still in front of the stone he read the markings on this side and realized he could easily switch back to the desert. However why this stone had anything to do with his clan or where had been pulled to was a mystery that needed solving immediately. The old curiosities of his youth began to bubble up as he had thought so little of his own heritage in quite some time.
After a few hours journey through the desolation the scientist finally came upon what looked like a large wooden fence decorate with skulls of all sorts of creatures. The sounds of battle and the roar of a crowd echoed out suddenly from the pit and only grew louder as he neared. From the edge he looked down at the bottom as a crocodile the size of a bus and a normal sized komodo dragon squared off. They both stood and stamped a dirt packed arena floor as they dodged and snapped at vital areas. The scientist was so intrigued by the happenings below that he never noticed the salamander guards that casually walked up behind him and grabbed his shoulders with their blistering heated skin.
Deciding it wise not to start a scene just yet the Hybrid went along with their capture of a human in what appeared to be a realm filled with powerful magical lizards. As the scientist was being dragged away from the pit and towards a large red mountain's cave he saw all sorts of reptiles roaming the burning wilds, and just about as many struggling and dying. The fast thinker was able to do the math and figure that the creatures dragging him to wherever followed the code of 'Survival of the Fittest' and no doubt enjoyed feats of strength. The moment the scientist realized he was being dragged in front of a leader of some sort he overwhelmed both of the guards by ripping off his own arm from their clutches, creating a new one, and then electrocuted them both into a stunned state.
Ichi, the Overlord of the realm, saw the human that had been placed before him and taken out two guards in his presence, scratched his chin; and then laughed. The warrior was already taking delight in the mortal's death wish and decided to grant it by drawing his weapon and then leaping down to clash with Tama right there in that very court.
The lizard king quickly struck down the scientist at least five different times. Wounds that should of killed the mortal made Ichi let his guard down just enough for the Ancient Hybrid to reform chunk of his shell and counter attack. These moments that the beast lowered his guard were the only attacks that the crazy Hyrbid ever got through. Throughout all the pain and destruction that was being placed on his form that was very nearly close to being actually destroyed by the time Ichi was done with him the scientist never once relented, pleaded for mercy, or asked why they fought. He only stood back up and continued to throw lightning bolts and sharp gusts of wind until, laughing with good humor, the Lizard King finally scooped up the scientist outright and sat back down in his throne.
From there the Overlord asked Tama what in the heavens would compel a being such as him to travel into his lands, strike down his guards, and dare to stand and battle him. The seeker of truth replied with,
"Why, the pursuit of knowledge of course," and then explained how he got here through the monolith. Amused as if holding one of his own children Ichi explained to Tama that his clan once came to them long before the Overlord himself had been born. It was an old tale of their kind and was noted as one of the earliest times humans made contact with them. The Overlord at that time had been moved by the plight of the clan and decided to grant them some of his power in order to help keep the Sword of Ashura out of the wrong hands. It had been centuries since the last Ryuu had had walked the world with their favor and this current ruler of his kind had a bit of the same spark of interest in the human clan his ancestor did. Reaching behind his throne the beast removed a large stick with names scrawled across it and placed it and Tama on the ground. Ichi offered him a portion of the same power that had been granted to his ancestor, the rest he would have to earn, and then he would be removed from the realm to be tossed back into the desert and the door locked behind him.
At first the stubborn being demanded to know more of his ancestors that had bargained with the powerful reptiles. The powerful being before him then released a portion of his real strength in that moment and the weight of it dropped the prideful Hybrid to his knee. For the first time in his life beyond Mikaboshi did he find himself actually bowing to something more powerful than him. In that respect the mortal Soul then quietly inscribed his name on the log using a spark of electric chakra in his fingertip. The bolt of energy surged for a moment and scoured across the giant piece of wood until it landed on the name Ryuu Hositika that had been burned into the wood in the same manner. Ichi allowed the mortal to see this name but would give no more of his clan's history than that. The rest, as with everything in life under the view of the Overlord, would have to be earned through trials and tribulations.
Shortly after his name was placed on the log the, now recovered, salamander guards cautiously lead the Hybrid back to the rock. He placed his hand on the stone and slipped back across the world and into the golden sands again. Upon stepping a few feet away from the obsidian giant the stone turned a strange grey and then to dust. The scientist looked down at the strange red mark of a gecko on his wrist as curiosities swirled about in his mind as to what this could potentially mean for any future plans regarding the strengthening of his shell. Mentally noting where he was in the vast golden sands the scientist continued to move on in his search.

It wasn’t a very productive day for Tama. Of course these days were rare and super far apart from each other but every once in awhile the spirit of Karma he had latched down in his soul would kick.
The doctor was already well known for working multiple days in a row with only a few hours out of every day to eat. Then he would sleep for twenty-four hours and spend the next twenty-four after on his hobbies and current science projects before stepping back into the hospital.
This day was the first twenty-four meaning he needed to sleep. It was all over his face and slouched body how much this week had taken out of his physical form which caused his binds on the spirit inside of him to loosen just a little. Before he had taken two steps into his house Karma grabbed his ankle and the doctor fell forward and cracked his face on the counter of his kitchen bar.
The seven-foot tall man hit the ground hard and though no one could see the spirit, the grey-fleshed mirror image of himself was crawling on top of the unconscious body, digging claw like fingers into his head, but the creature couldn’t even so much as reach his brain the scientist’s soul bucked against the spirit. Across the living room a wall dented for no reason and Tama slowly began to pick himself up off the floor with a shake of his head. The wound that should[ of been there was nothing more than dried blood that he wiped off as he shuffled towards his bedroom. Such attacks from Karma were a normal occurrence for the doctor now. So much so that it had become just a part of his ritual; like one would eat breakfast.
As his head hit the pillow the blonde briefly wondered about how much it was going to cost to fix the wall again before his physical form’s need for sleep overtook his waking mind.
Also claiming the following:
Major Elements - Fire/Earth/Wind/Non-Elemental
Minor Elements - Nothing Yet
Kinjutsu - Needs to be changed to Jinchuu
You had not mentioned (at least directly) whether your Jinchuu was Spiritual/Holy/Cursed, so I just assumed it was Spiritual (that seems to be the hot choice). If that was incorrect just update in here.
Okay so I wasn't sure if I needed to write extra to fix the last two abilities I need, so I did anyways! Thanks for the prompt updates by the way, and yes Spiritual was what I wanted anyways. Thought I mentioned that but I supposed I derpped it up.
Changing Main Branch ability into Med Nin ability Combat Medic!
Changing shinobi 101 into (lol what is that ninjutsu? Ninjutsu for what?) into Unarmed Taijutsu uses Ninjutsu Accuracy
The underground had that same tell-tell smell to it that immediately made Tama regret his decision to answer the distress call. Yet what else was there he could do? Despite the fact his shift had ended the state of everything was in was as such he dared not removed himself from the hospital, and yet, if he didn’t then no one would be there to help the cries of children pleading for rescue.
A panic had started to sweep through the streets as horrible rumors whipped the populace into a fervor in the poor districts. Yet the entire thing, to him, felt like it was more a single person losing control of a brittle peace. Either way it had its effect and the ER was nearing full capacity from the riots. EMS, ANBU, and most of the Main Branch were all tending to the metaphorical fires and the radio roared to life to scream about a group of kids who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The doctor’s shoes silently fell against the stone and old boards on the roofs of the dilapidated buildings of the Underground. Around the man’s shoulders his cloak/labcoat was tied tight to his upper arms making as little sound as a sheet in the wind would. The entire time Tama moved the Hybrid used his control over energy to manipulate the air around to keeping everything silent and it was no different when he dropped down into the beat up orphanage. Yet despite the element of surprise he attempted to give himself the scientist still needed to tilt his head to the right to dodge a kunai that cut through his loose hair.
Across the small courtyard filled with small playground equipment stood two incredibly off looking men. One was holding a child with a knife to the boy’s throat while the other was pulling out more kunai with that cock-sure grin Tama hated so much. Their eyes, posture, and mirrored grins explained what they didn’t need to use words to translate to the doctor: move and we kill the boy.
The scientist sighed and quickly moved his arms up to begin putting his hair up into a bun. So simple a movement the Solar Ancient didn’t dare to believe the two men would use it against him until the doctor saw the child’s crimson life spray into the air. The poor boy’s eyes spoke nothing of shock as the man tossed him aside and reached down to grab yet another hostage. A kunai was already being thrown at the scientist.
Who were they? Why was this even happening? What did they have to gain from this gesture of malice? Questions that would never be answered.
A weighted wave of menacing energy exploded out of Tama. The blades flying at him were knocked back with enough force to remove two clean chunks of the orphanage building. The very courtyard around the scientist cracked and broke apart as the energy wave rolled out again and again. Every single child there, save for perhaps that 1 in a million genius that reflexively knew how to block against raw energy with their chakra, dropped unconscious. The power of Karma that roared out against the two men continued to shake the foundations. In two simple seconds the men watched, unable to keep up, as Tama vanished before their eyes and drove his bare hands through their chests. His sudden stop shoved the momentum he had built from his sudden attack into the gaping wounds causing an explosion of force from inside. Only the bottom torsos of his opponents dropped to the ground with a grotesque squish.
Wasting no time the doctor reached up to his ear with his bloodied left hand and shoved a communication device into his ear canal. In a few moments he had reported the incident and required immediate transport for six uninjured children. With a hand to the air Tama used the overwhelming strength of his Ancient heritage through Karma’s control to call up the souls of the two men he had utterly destroyed. His hand crushed the spirits into raw energy, knelt down, and placed it gently against the child’s wound. Through basic chakra manipulation the doctor used the soul energy of the two criminals to return, and perhaps even extend, the life of the youth they tried to so casually destroy. To weaken any fears the Ryuu may have the boy began to cough as light returned to his eyes.

Gigantic - General Contract Ability
Contract beasts come in all shapes and sizes, and there are some that reach such sizes that those around them. This size is rarely just for show, and though it definitly makes them a large target that attracts attention, it makes it much more difficult to restrain in any way other than defeating it.
Effect:
- The user's contract cannot be bound by non-illusory binds, but cannot enter stealth. If hit by a non-illusory bind, they instead take a -3 Acc/Dodge penalty for the duration of the 'bind'.
Super Charge -
The shinobi with this skill is gifted with the ability to actually absorb some chakra that is used to harm them. Whenever attacked with a Ninjutsu, the user's pores would immediately open and take some of the chakra used for the attack and convert it into a source of power for their own attacks. Its like photosynthesis, but for ninjas!
Information:
Prerequisites: C-Rank
Effect:
- When the user is hit with a Ninjutsu attack, any damage taken by it is reduced by 5%. This reduced damage is then added to their next Ninjutsu attack as bonus damage that cannot be buffed through any source (it can still be reduced).
- The user can be charged with the bonus damage of up to three attacks at a time. If this ability activates any further, then the newest damage will overwrite the oldest bonus damage.
- Effects which cut through, bypass, or otherwise negate Damage Reduction do not apply to this ability.
Many people fear death above all else, but the shinobi who embraces death as a simple part of the career, they find they have nothing to fear. Without the fear of death itself, there is nothing to fear at all or so the user of this ability feels. They do not fear pain or dying and thus do not fear anyone or anything.

The severed arm of a bodyguard in a bespoke outfit violently rocketed away from its owner. He was one of two men that stood about twenty meters away from a very angry off duty doctor; an intellectual who had been insulted by Underworld scum. As Bodyguard 1 dropped to the ground grasping at the smooth stump gushing blood that had once been his arm, the scientist placed his hands behind his back and turned a threatening glare towards the second man. This had all transpired in a single second, following right after an insult. The youthful well dressed man had appeared out of nowhere and the guards to the rundown warehouse in the Underground thought he was a lost Noble. As the second bodyguard’s lifeforce gushed from his arm, Ryuu Tama slowly crouched down without breaking the locked gaze of his second opponent. His right arm reached out and grabbed the air near the dying man’s neck and violently jerked. Bodyguard 1’s flesh went from pale to dead as a death rattle escaped his slowly chilling lips. Tama rised back up into a simple standing position, his hand still gripping something, and opened the clutched fist to reveal what was in his palm to Bodyguard 2. It was a small blue orb, glowing and thumping with the rhythm of a heartbeat. The scientist rolled the ball towards his thumb, flicked into his mouth and swallowed. With each casual motion the scientist got a little closer. A violent burst of air suddenly echoed from his body after swallowing the soul as he tapped a little deeper into his Ancient side, pushing the second bodyguard heavily against the wall of the building he was so diligently guarding. The man raised his weapon, trying to break the trance of terror his opponent had created but, Tama was already there, hand crushing the guard’s windpipe.
“One chance. Where is the man who sent me this letter?”
It was a morning like any other. Tama woke up with the same jump scare he did most mornings seeing Okibi in the bed with him. After having spent so much of his life keeping people away from his personal space, sharing a bed took a lot of getting used to. Especially when the two people sharing the sleeping space were having a hard time getting along during waking hours. Yet, despite the shock to his system every morning, it was one of the few things that kept him trying to make it work. Every morning he awoke with the small older woman holding onto his body for dear life, and it melted some of the hard ice around his heart.
After spending the next ten minutes peeling himself away while attempting to not wake her, the doctor threw on a kimono and slothed into his kitchen where the smell of brewing coffee was already waiting for him. His second reason for trying to make this little family work stood in the kitchen. She had long curly blond hair, was taller than him by about three inches, looked like her mother with the brain of her father. Otami was raiding the fridge with an excited squirm, trying to decide what new thing she was going to try for breakfast today. The father couldn’t help but snort a little at his child’s ridiculousness but left her to her own machinations while he poured a cup of the blessed dark brew.
“No drink much, save for me too,” his daughter suddenly quipped from the ice box.
“Hey, hey, I pay for this shit. And whatever the hell you’re cooking today.”
“Mm…bird. Bird and Egg. With…ooh, what this?” Otami held out a clear jar full of different red types of pepper in a vinegar preserve. He couldn’t remember who gave it to him. Since he wasn’t the greatest fan of spicy food, he sure as hell didn’t buy it, but it had to be somewhere. Probably from the hospital. Maybe the staff party held for his re-employment? Gary? It was hard to remember at this point, the nights blurred together some days. After giving a brief run down on what she held, the girl’s face lit up and placed the jar on the counter following raw chicken and some eggs. It was amazing in realization on how fast she picked up cooking after Okibi’s fainting spell from trying it herself.
Which was a problem he was running into. Understandable as it may be, as he had his own, he hated when people he tried to be close to kept secrets. She had scars on her body he didn’t recognize, tattoos that looked like Ninjutsu sealing that she was always distracting him away from. They had shared each other a few times since her return, mostly just trying to recapture what they once had, but every time Okibi insisted the lights be turned off. She was hiding something from him and it had lead to more than a handful of heated fights. Their relationship was on eggshells at the moment and he was trying really hard not to let his infamous hubris screw everything up.
Tama turned away from the kitchen and began a quick tack towards the garage, the coffee raised to take the first bated sip. Yet before he could even take two good swallows from his coffee, before the sounds and smells of cooking could waft through the air, he heard Otami call him back from the garage lab he was heading towards. It was his day off from the hospital, and though they had attempted to get him to work extras long before the week was out, he flat refused. Life was already stressful enough now that he was trying to be an upright citizen and behave himself enough to keep his new family together. That laboratory on the other side of the oak door he stood in front of now after his daughter called his name was his only escape. Gripping his spare hand into a fist and swallowing down the anger trying to claw up his throat he fixed his face and turned to face the teenager who was holding a letter for him, a piece of sweet bread hanging out of one side of her mouth.
“Came earfly. Befforeb borb safng,” she explained between bites of the slice of bread that was slowly sucking up into her maw with each chew; she was blessed that both her parents had insane metabolisms. After thanking Otami, the doctor took the letter and opened the door to walk into his lab. The oak closed itself via the usual mechanical fuckery as he stepped down into the concrete of his wide lab space, looking the letter over. It was paper manufactured here, ink looked the same, and the hand-writing appeared well schooled. Opening the letter, the doctor removed a simple tan sheet of paper and read the three sentences scrawled out in the same hand-writing.
I know who you are and what you’re trying to pretend to be. Unless you pay me, I will let everyone know who you are, not just the people who are protecting you. Everyone - you, your family, and the people who are hiding your real identity, will all go down unless you drop off exactly 50 Million Yen at this location.
Instructions following the paragraph was details on the exact kind of case he had to use, the location he was to drop it, and that any contact with ANBU or the Steward would be noted. After standing there seething for a moment, his coffee cup sailed across the garage and into a wall. The Hybrid’s image flickered out of the garage, the door never opening, and then back in, fully dressed save his coat which hung on the peg of the hanger by the front door. Rolling up his sleeves and pushing a part of the wall in, a secret door opened up to a set of stairs.
The secret study beneath the lab a simple square office with bookshelves lining every inch of the walls. Even after stepping into the room a bookcase would slide back in front of the secret stairs completing the look of a room full of books and no escape. In the middle of the room was a desk made of mahogany from the Fire Country. It stood there with such a grandeur it was hard not to notice it in the center of all of Tama’s secret knowledge. Inside, after unlocking the mechanism, was a secret draw containing a crimson red book full of numbers, names, and addresses of…less that reputable people.
In spite all his questionable morals in conducting science, which he had no problems with the world finding out so long as his studies could further mankind, he feared of his family getting involved in his continued Underground dealings. While it wasn’t unknown that Tama had once been a kingpin himself, there was a trial after all, most of Suna had been lead to believe he was a better person with all ties cut to that nefarious life. A part of him wished it was true, but, it would have been a complete waste to sever all ties with the Underground. Flipping open the crimson book to a page marked with a green ribbon, Tama placed his index finger down and started look down at all the crossed off names until he came across a small section that hadn’t yet.
Favors. People who owed him for saving their lives, for trading goods, or for having solved and cured incurable diseases. In the time spent creating the body he was inhabiting now he had marked off nearly all three pages. It had left him with a handful of ‘last resort’, and about two ‘good sources’; the difference between the two being the strings attached. Considering the urgency and privacy of the matter, Tama picked up a pen and marked off one of the good ones as he memorized the information for locating them. Replacing the book and sealing it back into the desk he walked to the right of the heavy furniture and pulled three books on a shelf in a sequence to activate another hidden door. It revealed a self-made tunnel that burrowed right into the sewers. While it had take him some two weeks to complete, his control over time made it so that no one would have ever known he had done it. An hour of walking, two spent talking to the informant and getting the information he needed, and Tama was walking up to a building that was somewhere between the entrance to the Underground and Suna Proper.
Now a guard, having just witnessed this random guy kill his friend instantly and, he can only hope, ate his chakra, was now pinned against the wall by this monster. He looked up at the doctor’s eyes and saw only death waiting in them. Tama was holding back, just barely, and the bodyguard realized it as it began to click exactly who was holding him over the edge of death.
His boss had a lot of enemies yet somehow the gang stayed relevant and above the ANBU’s watch. Kicking bees nests, making a quick buck, they had lived out in a chaotic way with little consequence not realizing that their actions were going unnoticed due to the war. When the boss said they had a way of kicking the demonic Ryuu Tama in the balls, everyone was in on it. Having watched that same man kill his friend in literally two seconds, Bodyguard 2 was no longer cool with it. He felt Tama loosen his grip around his windpipe, allowing just enough air in to speak.
“C-corner…Fi-fifth Worm Street…” the guard shamefully croaked. The force was unleashed on his throat as he dropped to the ground. One deep breath, two deep breaths, a third…he looked up and noticed that the man threatening his life was gone without a sound, and couldn’t help but thank the gods he had managed to avoided the doctor’s wrath. The stories were clearly true about how terrifyingly powerful the man was, but seeing it up close was a whole different story. The bodyguard pushed his back against the wall and used it to push his way back up onto his feet. He began to stumble away from the building when a cold breeze suddenly hit him. He shivered a little, bewildered by the sudden cold air in the desert when he felt something wet streaking down his face, then something warm and wet on his side, his arms, his leg…
The bodyguard fell into cleanly severed pieces with his next step.
Tama walked back out from his garage lab and closed his door slowly. He was wearing different clothes than he had when originally entering the garage but no one had seen what he was wearing when he left anyways. Otami had finished cooking. Despite the random ingredients picked, the aroma in the air was pleasant. A mortal hunger rumbled at his guts as he walked into the kitchen/dining room to see Okibi and Otami already down eating what appeared to be a kind of omelette with a place set for him. Pulling out the chair, he greeted them warmly before settling down for breakfast.

Sharp Sense said:
Sharp Sense - General Contract Ability
Many beasts are known for their sharp senses, whether it be sight, smell, hearing, or some other unique capability. Regardless of the method, this skill represents their enhanced ability to perceive their surroundings.
Effect:
-+2 Awareness.
- +2 Dodge vs targets they are aware of.
Alignment Focus
Even among those who devote their lives to the cause of a particular cosmic force there are those that go above and beyond becoming conduits for those forces in a way that is indescribable to those who lack that level of conviction in their beliefs.
Information Prerequisites: D-Rank
Effect:
- Upon learning this ability, the user chooses one alignment to focus on and any attacks they make which use that alignment have the alignment effect improved in the corresponding ways:
- Spiritual: Spiritual Damage attacks now have 50% of their damage converted to Illusionary Damage instead of the normal 30%.
- Holy: Holy attacks now heal the user for each individual target hit by the attack instead of based on the great individual amount of damage dealt.
- Cursed: Cursed damage negates HP/CP recovery during a round equal to the amount of Cursed damage taken at the end of the previous round.
Notes:
- [Link to Alignment Rules]
- Alignment Focus can only be taken a single time.
- Example; if a target took 1200 Cursed damage at the end of Round 2, during Round 3 the first 1200 HP and/or CP the target recovers is negated (They would need 1201 to recover 1 point)
Bloody Mess
Psychopaths, Surgeons, Werewolf wannabies...Surgeons...something about these people just draws them to the sight of blood; they can't get enough of it! Someone with this dark skill is able to draw out much more of that precious lifeforce from their targets, almost as if the very blood they seeked was seeking them as well...
Information Prerequisites: D-Rank
Effect:
- The user's Critical hits will always increase bleeding rank, even if the attack does not normally inflict bleeding. This does not apply to non-offensive techniques aimed at allies that can crit, and may only apply once per action.
- When attacking a target at their maxed Bleeding Rank, the user has a base chance of 10% to deal 1.5% Max Hp damage immediately. This chance may be increased with the user's Bleed bonuses up to a 20% chance, but may only effect a target up to three times per round.
- When either of the above effects trigger, the target will take an additional +.5% Max Hp damage per round from bleeding on top of their current Bleeding damage. This does not stack.
