Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Bull's Strength:

Power. He was a powerful man. He could pick up another grown man and throw him from one side of a training yard to another. He could swing his axe and cleave through the spinal cord of an upright man at the neck, a nearly impossible feat despite what the fiction writers always say. It wasn’t a skill he was born with, although his size was a helping point rather than a hindrance. His father had forced him to build himself up, grow strong and powerful so that any foe before him would second guess attacking him… and when he did, he would understand what a fool he had been.

Human Anatomy:

Of course it hadn’t been the only thing his father had taught him. When he was little, his father spent countless hours teaching Saemon all the pressure points on another’s body. He showed him where to hit to find which organ, how to stick a knife under the arm to dig right into the heart. Every vein and artery that could bleed a man in under ten minutes was also on the agenda. He even knew not only how to kill, but what would kill slowest, fastest and what would hurt the most and least. Mercy or punishment… the human anatomy was not something to ignore.

Insight II:

After his father passed on, Saemon spent hours alone. Part of his escape was to focus on a single point, ignore the rest of the world around him. He could be drowned in his anger and sorrow. Eventually he had to resume life and moved to train his body while focusing on his single point. Again and again he learned to strike that small place, whatever it was. His improved accuracy was amounting to an amazing skill he never knew he had before. When he was finally back from the dark recesses of his miserable mind, his new skill proved ultimately useful even with an enormous weapon…

Quick Healer:

It was his mother, so many years ago, that had taught Saemon to channel his chakra through his body. He could use it to sense poisons in himself or, as she taught him, to heal himself continually in a battle. It wouldn’t do much against the larger, gaping wounds, but it would be enough of an edge to defeat a foe his level or slightly above. She made him practice this skill every day during his youth until it was reflexive to heal his body. And with his terribly, self-destructive fighting style, it might even end up saving his worthless life.

Thick Blood:

It sort of went with the territory that after he had mastered the reflexive healing abilities, his mother insisted on another self-preservative ability. This one would have him infuse his chakra into all the vessels of his blood and force them to clot faster when he was cut. The effect would allow Saemon to take shallow wounds, not bleed out overly fast and have his body heal those slow bleeding wounds as much as possible. It was the two most useful things his mother ever taught him, ones sometimes he could simply forget. But once something is done subconsciously, you don’t just forget.

Nimble Hands:

It wasn’t until later in his life, when he came across Demowulf, his battle axe, that he began to find a rift in his fighting abilities. It was easy to swing and axe. It was simple to do the handseals for good jutsu. But to switch between the axe and the handseals? That was far more tricky. For almost a year Saemon worked on a quick transition from axe to freehands, then back to his axe. But this was not enough. He needed to do it better. Another year of practice before he could manage what his goal was; to be able to perform those handseals while holdin the axe. It was tricky but he’d done it.

Jutsu Mastery:

This of course lead to more training. It wasn’t until he was almost 20 that he truly felt he was a master of his ninjutsus. He could release a powerful wave of water that didn’t wear him out to create. When he wanted to do something unique or different with the jutsu, it wasn’t as hard for him as it was for others. He could manipulate the acid and crystals with the skill of an elder, Ninjutsu master. And this added to his prowess as a killer. The path to it had been a hard one, but eventually, as with all things, it only took time and dedication.

From his toddler days Saemon showed potential. He had a strong connection to his chakra and core and could mimic small jutsu his father would show him. At first it was the basics; replacements, basic clones… but when he tried to do an elemental attack, like earth, he couldn’t do it very well. And so for his 5th birthday, his father got the chakra papers to find out his major affinity. Sae’s father was good with Wind, but Sae was good with water. He hadn’t known it until then and after trying his first water sprout jutsu, he found he had a natural, genuine knack for it.

Mastering it only took him until his young teen years. When he was 14, his father aided him in revealing his next affinity. Not everyone could manage more than 1, but he found a skill for Lightning. By the time he hit 15 he was proficient enough in lightning jutsu to begin a specialized form of jutsu training. It was a combination of his major and minor skills. It allowed him to basically electrify and change the composition of the water. It would lower the Ph from normal until the water was so acidic it could even burn the skin off a man’s bones.

At first it was just simple skills, but before long he could manipulate the element as easily as he could his water jutsus and maybe better than actual lightning. His skill proved to be invaluable for his position as an ANBU member for stealth kills. He could awash acid over his enemies or down their throats, burn their voice cords away before they could make a sound, save the gurgling and choking. His latest and most amusing skill allowed him to rupture another man’s stomach and throw him off while the poor guy had to vomit violently.


Core Ability: Reckless:

Bloodlust<i></i> - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
When in battle Reckless fighters can sometimes enter such an intense state of mind that they completely ignore small wounds and the effects of exhaustion, their love for battle surpassing all other concerns.
Effect: Exhaustion effects only apply half the penalties. Ignores up to rank 3 bleeding.

Mastered Offensive Stance<i></i> - Passive (3 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
By maximizing the efficiency of their attacks and gaining the most offense for the amount of lost defense, a Reckless fighter can become insanely accurate for the same amount of lost evasion.
Effect: Allows user to gain +1 accuracy per -1 dodge, up to a maximum of +4 accuracy and -4 dodge.

Zaraki Style<i></i> - Style (2 points)
Restriction- C Rank and up
This style of fighting is the epitome of offense, abandoning almost all defense in order to deal the most damage possible. Considered insanity by most, only the Reckless would possibly use such a way of fighting.
Effect: Increases all physical damage dealt by 30% and received by 15%. The user gains +1 accuracy. Exhausts user at an above average rate.
Note: Like any other fighting style, this can be turned on or off at the user’s discretion or lack there of. Counts as a Physical Style.

Bleed Out<i></i>- Dependent Special Move (3 points)
A good melee fighter knows that one of the best ways to inflict damage is continuously. Reckless don’t exactly have the patience to keep up something continuous though--so they take a third option.
Effect: Upon a successful basic weapon hit the round this is activated, opponent's bleed penalties are treated as 1 rank higher than they are and opponent takes an extra 50% bleed damage each round. Effect lasts for three rounds. If opponent’s bleed level increases while the effect lasts, this effect adjusts to the new bleed level. Does not stack with itself. Costs 300 chakra to apply to a weapon. Can only be used twice per battle.

Endurance<i></i> - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times
Reckless fighters deal with attacks that have a heavy backlash on a regular basis. To endure the power of their own attacks, they need to be far more resilient than the average ninja.
Effect: +2 HP modifier

Huge Power<i></i> - Boost (1 point)
Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times
Tough as nails, a Reckless fighter is never afraid to show their strength. Their melee attacks, whether with the brute force of their fists or the cold metal of their weapons, tend to be much stronger than normal.
Effect: +5% melee damage.
Points Used: 3

No Limits<i></i> - Passive (2 points)
The Reckless fighter is very experienced at pushing their body beyond what anyone else would consider reasonable or even sane. As a result, they can hit harder than anyone else can, though at cost to themselves.
Effect: Max damage cap for melee Taijutsu is increased to 80%. However, for every 10% damage beyond the 50% cap the user adds, they take 5% recoil damage for all melee attacks made.

Even though he was getting older, moving past his prime and closer to retirement (which happened very early for shinobi, like 35 or something) Saemon never stopped learning new things and pushing himself. His ability to manipulate the earth element was not an easy or natural one. It was something he had to work with for ages until it would obey his command and work right.

Endless days and hours of practice. Moving the earth… but finally it yielded to his will and chakra. It bend, twisted, broke, shattered and formed at his command. And though it was far from perfect, it opened up a new door for the battle weary Jounin; the crystal element. His natural skill with water and his new found affliction for earth blended in harmony. The angular, beautiful and dangerous art form came far more naturally to him. It was similar to his skill in acid the way it leaned heavily on his skill with water and came easier than using Earth itself.

At first it was small; shards and pieces of white and red gems. He could form them in his hands and pull them up from the depths. He could make them dance in his palm like little creatures for their god. And before a year was over, these same crystals would dance in millions around his being, shrouding him in a cloud of razor sharp pieces. Barriers, creatures, attacks… bloodshed was never so glamorous as it was now. He could insert a shard into your eye, watch it sparkle as you were blinded and bled. He knew it skill in this advanced element had come to a state of mastery when he was able to crush it to dust and seep it down a man’s lungs where it passed into his bloodstream and finally his heart where it was torn to pieces slowly and painfully.
