5' 2", green eyes, straight elbow length turquoise hair, slight build, 36D, O+. There are two red marks beneath her right eye identifying her Inuzuka bloodline. She used to wear a blue and pink fuku in town but due to an incident with her comrade Moroko Dono that quickly changed. She still wears the fuku or a blue shirt and pink floral wrap skirt for special occasions but not for everyday life. Now she wears a blue halter top and sand coloured capris. A belt around her midriff holds kunai that she can loosen with her elbows to drop into her waiting hands. Since going into hiding and losing the rank of Chuunin, she has started to wear a linen gi that used to belong to her Father. As a child she was known to go bare foot but as she is often running around doing missions or other tasks she wears sandals to protect her feet. Her headband protector doubles as a hair band and shruiken holder.

Yume tries to be a happy individual and has enjoyed a fairly sheltered youth. Her attitude is mainly optimistic but not neglecting of the real world. If she knows there is no hope, she has no problem trying to run rather than die trying. Her theory is that you can always get stronger and beat them later, but not if you let them kill you first. She rarely gets angry but when she does she goes silent and is known to be very violent if further provoked.
Yume knows that somewhere deep inside she has the inner strength that is needed to be a Ninja. She has been known to refer to that inner strength as "The violent thing inside of me" and often refers to as it HER, with capitals for emphasis. Aspiring to be a Med-nin, she hopes to make her remaining family, Shinji and Melkor, proud of her.
Shinji was always a pessimist and would tell her almost everyday that she is physically a weak and she that should drop being a ninja and focus on healing. As she’s grown, he has been less down on her and more supportive of her skills as a shinobi. Rather than berating her, he reminds her that Riki would be proud if he was still alive.
Yume has a companion fox named CuRua which she has lovingly taken up calling CooRoo. It is odd for an Inuzuka not to have a dog as their companion but as fox are still of the canidae family, the bond was made just the same. CuRua is a fennec fox.

Yume's family consists of 5 people besides herself: Her mother Kara, her twin brothers Shinjin and Melkor, her sister Hanone and her father Riki. Yume didn't really know her sister as she spent most of her time trying to impress her brothers rather than be a big sister.

Riki: Originally from Amegakure, Riki had moved to Suna after venturing there on a mission and meeting Kara. When Yume was 9, Riki died while he and a rising chuunin were leading a team of genins. The chuunin that accompanied them murdered him and left him to die in the dunes. One of the genins placed a marker there and later returned to bring him back to sand where he could receive an honorable burial. His name was added to a monument of fallen shinobi which was later destroyed in a massive storm.

Shinjin: Commonly goes by Shinji because of his skill with senbon, had just become a chuunin when Riki died and was not at home much. When they were growing up he often spent his time reminding Yume to forget about becoming a Ninja and to focus her skills on healing as was tradition for the women on their mother’s side. After Riki's death, he returned to the family house in permanent residence and started to help Yume with her training. Despite appearing not to care, she knew that he was hard on her so that she would understand that life wasn't easy. Due to grief, Shinji moved to Amegakure to live with Riki’s family, not wanting to remember his life in Suna.

Melkor: Unlike his twin, he had always been nice and very supportive of Yume in becoming a shinobi. He also helped her learn more about her Inuzuka blood as he was the only other in the family with the traits. He never went by Sagasu, but rather took the Inuzuka name to indicate the bloodline that was on their mother’s side of the family. As twins, he and Shinji look very similar in black and white however in a chromatic scale most didn’t notice this as Melkor is an albino. They seemed to get along when it came to their little sister; however they had a rivalry on everything else and were always competing with each other. Kara would always tell Yume that it was normal for twins but she always thought it was more zealous than most sibling rivalries. Their bond as siblings was always close and their family had an unspoken love for each other. When the storm had passed, Yume was informed that Melkor had died but this was never confirmed to her. She never did see him again after going into seclusion.

Kara: Raising Yume, Melkor and Shinjin alone after Riki died, she devoted her life to her children. She kept in good health and worked at her own healers’ clinic she ran from the Sagasu Residence. She was much younger than her husband but had been in love with him since he had journeyed to Sunagakure from his home village. Kara's side of the family is talented in healing and has lived in Sand Village for generations. The Inuzuka bloodline was very prominent on her side of the family, however not everyone exhibited the traits. She died in the storm.
Her parents wanted a good life for their children, and as youth the children were taught at home until the age of 8 when they were placed under Chojiro's care in the academy. When Riki died, Yume came home to study for 4 years under her mother, until she was 12, when she returned for her last year in the academy. Despite hardships, Yume still holds her happy-go-lucky attitude as she finds no reason to be full of anger and regret. She has become a little more guarded since the last destruction of her village when Kara died and presumably Melkor too.

Quick Character Description:

Appearance:
Yume stands at 5' 2" with sparkling green eyes, a light tan, and an athletic build. Her straight elbow length turquoise hair frames her face with asymmetrical bangs and ends in the middle of her back in an even line. There are two red marks beneath her right eye identifying her as part of the Inuzuka bloodline. Her clothes vary in colours and styles but most frequently she wears a sky blue halter top held up by a metal ring around her neck and sand coloured capris. When on official business she wears her chuunin vest but often finds there is no purpose in flashing rank during the day to day activities. A belt around her midriff holds kunai that she can drop with her elbows into her waiting hands. Wrapped over the top of her hair is the forehead protector that indicates her loyalties to the village as a shinobi and doubles as a shruiken holder. Yume has yet to grow out of her habit of running around barefoot but when circumstance requires foot wear she has a pair of supple sandals that allows her too protect the soles of her feet while still feeling the ground beneath them.

Med-Nin Attire:
When she is in the hospital doing rounds she is almost always clad in a white sleeveless high-collared vest with fitted capris to match. She wears a belt pouch with senbon for her acupuncture practices on her hip and a few kunai tucked into slots which have been fashioned into her vest. Her turquoise hair is kept French braided to stop it from getting in the way during delicate procedures. Her bangs are pulled to the left and clipped back with simple brass barrettes. For heath reasons, she covers her feet with soft soled, comfortable, white shoes. Even while on duty she wears her forehead protector to indicate her affinity with both fighting and healing.

Unique Attitre:
When she is training with her brother, she wears her Father’s linen gi and keeps her chest bound underneath with wraps so it does not interfere. For special occasions she has a floral sarong which she will wear as a skirt and pair with a fancy top or as a dress. Under these circumstances she will concede to shoes and wear heeled white crisscross sandals.

Character History:
Riki is originally from another village and came to Suna on a peacekeeping mission. He was set to go home when news came that it had been attacked and destroyed. He met Inuzuka Kara and they fell in love and got married. As he no longer had a home to return to he petitioned the powers that be and became a shinobi of Suna, being granted the right to wear the hour-glass that identifies all Suna nins. Due to living his whole life above ground, he never got used to being in the village proper so Yume and Shinji were raised at the near surface. They did their training in the village and studied at the academy but they never really knew anyone. Compound that with her animalistic tendencies when she was a kid and Yume was sometimes considered pretty strange. For the most part she kept to herself and occasionally came with her mother when she would set up an acupuncture clinic in the bazaar.
When she was 9, Riki was killed on a mission. One of the chuunin deemed him unfit to wear the village crest as he wasn't truly from Suna. His body was never found. Kara died when Yume was 14 in a Sand storm. After that, Shinji and Yume moved into the village proper and became better acquainted with the people of Suna. In time, Yume matured and found ways to manage her Inuzuka nature and became more refined and tame.
Her cousin's, and in particular her mother's sister, have frequently asked them to move into the main Inuzuka compound but they declined. While Riki was alive the clan had all but disowned Kara for marrying an outsider. After he died, they reached out for her to come home but she refused on the grounds of how poorly they esteemed her lover and her children. Ultimately the clan blames Riki for her death.
To this day, the aunt still summons Yume and offers for her to join the family with the condition that she cuts all ties with her brother. Shinji never showed the traits of the clan which the Inuzuka always attributed to the ‘tainted blood’ of an outsider. Because of the condition, Yume always refuses her aunts offer which has caused a rumour to spread through the clan that they're secretly lovers. Since their mother’s passing, Shinji and Yume became very close almost giving the appearance of inappropriate. Shinji would play it off as being over-protective and Yume was too naive to see what the problem was, considering there wasn’t anything actually going on. In each others eyes, Shinji is a womanizer obsessed with training while Yume is a bookworm infatuated with healing and Genjutsu.

Personality:
Curious. Quiet. Happy. Naïve. These are all words that have been used to describe Yume. She has a love for improving medical techniques in ways that will better society as a whole and finds it unfathomable that these advances could ever be used for evil. Despite both her parents passing at a young age, she tries to keep an optimistic view on the world and chooses to believe that everything happens for a reason. In her mind, their deaths will somehow lead to a greater good. While interacting with intellectuals comes naturally to the 18 year-old Med-nin, she has troubles simply conversing with members of the opposite sex and often finds herself staring at her toes with a blush that is conveniently hidden by bangs. The only males with whom she is capable of having a normal conversation with are Shinji and CuRua, her fox. Part of her awkwardness comes from her animalistic tendencies which she knows makes most people uncomfortable. She finds it is more content to observe rather than being in the thick of a situation.
When she isn’t conducting research, training, healing someone or studying, Yume and CuRua can be found wandering the town in search of adventure (or sometimes even causing their own). It is not her habit to take things too seriously unless she is participating in one of the above exceptions. During these times it is her philosophy that foolery leads to mistakes and mistakes lead to death.
