Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Sang Taeyong 상태용
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Sex: Male

Personality: Taeyong is not a nice individual. He is often described as cold, stubborn, and unpleasant. He doesn't care for these descriptions of him, and he doesn't deny them either. He does not believe in "friends," people are allies or acquaintances at most. He isn't arrogant, however, he does not view all people as useless, in fact people are very important to him to exploit. This does, however, cause him to view people like stats, evaluating their strengths and weaknesses and treating in accordance to that. Those who he perceives to be too weak to use he will often ignore, or even be downright harsh if they are persistent. Those who he believes can be of some use are treated with a level of respect, even "kindness" if he thinks they can be really useful.

His status in his clan gives him a great sense of pride, but also stress and expectation. As a potential heir to his branch lead he acts noble, but in reality he simply feels like he must be superior to everyone. Taeyong has no real feelings on genders or gender roles. He is often mistaken as a girl, and he doesn't correct people. Whether male or female, if you're useful then it doesn't matter, and if you're not, then you're trash either way. Some have mistakenly viewed his outlook as incredibly respectful, but in reality he simply views everyone as objects to further his own ambitions.

Appearance: Taeyong is described as a man with a slender figure and a handsome face. He has a significantly youthful appearance, short in height with dark navy blue hair that covers his ears and dark blue-lit eyes with bold red eyeliner. His attire is consists of black shorts and black sandals, and a large hat with four upwards-curving hooks along the circumference, and what seems to be his mask on the center. Two ornamental accessories hang from red threads attached to the back of his hat. At the back of his hat hangs a translucent black veil separated into two, with brown swirls near the bottom. His overall attire resembles traditional Japanese or Chinese wear.

History/Inuzuka App: Taeyong belongs to a strange clan within fire country. This clan's structure is somewhat different, instead of being a main banch and side branch, there doesn't seem to be a true head. Instead, each branch has their own head that makes up a sort of Clan Council. The branches are quite similar to other Inuzuka clans, but instead of dogs or even animals, they act as protectors and bridges between the primal elements and this world. Each clan named after the original five elemental inuzuka, five siblings who began the clan. Each clan represents the five elements often utilized by the shinobi of the world. Taeyong belongs to the Lightning Branch.

On top of the individual businesses that many people within the clans have Taeyong's father, Taeyang, is a jounin and his mother, Soojung, is a was a chuunin but later retired once their second child was born. Taeyong is the third and youngest child, the eldest being his sister 5 years his elder, Taeyeon, and his brother being 3 years older, Taehyun. Their family, being the head within their branch, was certainly far more privileged than many others, part of why they hold themselves to a much higher standard than others. Typically the family head is the eldest of a set of siblings, so obviously Taeyeon got a lot more attention than the other two siblings, especially once she received her companion and started her training. This built some animosity between the siblings, especially from Taeyong.

Growing up Taeyong could never tell if people wanted to get close to him because he came from money and power, so he constantly distanced himself from his peers. This, however, was a lonely existence, so instead of staying alone, he would begin evaluating people to see if he could use them for anything. At a young age it wasn't incredibly deep, but he found some level of entertainment from people. He never kept people around for long, however, if they could no longer entertain him he didn't need to be around them anymore.

In the academy Taeyong excelled in Taijutsu, was ok at Ninjutsu, and didn't focus much on Genjutsu. As his clan was lightning focused he began his training with lightning Taijutsu, attempting to appease the primal energies. Taeyong worked hard during his academy years, he was under a lot of pressure from his father to do well. Just because he wasn't the direct heir doesn't mean he can slack, for the pride of the clan is always on the line.

Upon reaching genin he was to go through the ritual done by each branch of their clan, though each branch had their own unique spin. Taeyong was taken up to the highest point within fire country, on a dark and stormy day, and left there. This may seem cruel, and it was, but his father and his siblings had each survived the trial themselves. The point of the trial was to survive the storm for however long it lasted, could be a day, a week or even a month. Taeyong's storm lasted two weeks. His academy teachings helped, but he wasn't really trained for wilderness survival. He didn't have to worry to much about the wildlife, in the middle of the storm they didn't really bother coming out to hunt him, but he also needed a place to rest.

During the trial lightning struck near him, he could feel the electricity in his bones and it was too fast to react to. When the lightning struck there was a tiny spark, like a creature made of the electricity left behind, that seemed to take a liking to Taeyong. The creature began to speed a way, goading Taeyong to follow. Taeyong didn't know at the time, but the creature was actively drawing him away from spots where lightning would strike next. Taeyong was able to find hiding animals and hunt for food, though he had to survive on heavily burnt meat since he had no idea how to actually cook. The rainfall provided plenty of water to survive. The real trial was bonding with the little spirit, and upon the end of the storm it stuck around. Like his father and his siblings before him, this little spirit became his companion.

Hey Hello,

Thank you for choosing Leaf for your Character, however, there is something that has to be altered before we can take this to the team. As per our site rules, your character can be no older than 13 years of age.

Character Creation Guide said:
Usually, the age of 9 is the youngest that are accepted in villages, but it all depends on the individual village. Some accept younger, some want older. The maximum allowed age for a new character is 13.
Character Creation guide

Please alter this and post your application below, do not edit your above post and we will happily take a look at this! Thanks once again for choosing Leaf! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the Leaf Council members!

Hello there! Thank you for choosing Leaf for your character creation. Your writing is excellent and very intriguing!

We need to get just a few things sorted out though.

1. There is no Inuzuka Clan in Leaf currently. You are welcome to have a clan in your backstory as long as they are not mentioned by name. If you wish to create a clan after joining Leaf, you are more than welcome to do so in the Leaf Request forum page.

2. If you are wishing for this spirit of yours mentioned to be your Inuzuka pet of sorts, you still need to create a write up on it as it is treated much like a contract.
Note: Upon obtaining the Inuzuka Bloodline, the user must also choose a [Spirit Animal] which corresponds to one of the Summoning Contracts. It does not have to be Canine, but ICly, all Inuzuka are considered to be the Canine clan; non-canine characters are considered deviations or a separate clan.
This choice cannot be changed unless the user undergoes the BL/CA Swap process.
Upon succeeding in any contract search, the user may replace the found result with their [Spirit Animal].

3. There isn’t really a location within Leaf/around Fire Country where a storm would last that long. You could possibly make it a Genjutsu cast to make the storm seem like it lasted longer than it really did (if the length of the storm is important to your character's backstory).

4. With you wanting to start as a Genin, we need a small writeup on how you actually achieved the rank. An exam, a mission, something that would give you an upgrade clearly laid out.

5. And last but definitely not least, as per NC site rules your name must be made up of Japanese characters, or at least able to be made with them. If you wish to keep the romanized name Sang Taeyong, サン テヨン is going to be your closest translation. I would highly suggest you choose a name closer to Japanese directly to make it easier.

If you decide to change your name completely, be sure that you request an account name change here.

Once you finish up with these points, repost in this same thread with the entire updated profile.

If you need any help, feel free to come to any of the Council Members on our Discord server!

1) Yeah, that was what the small write up in the history was for. Since in the Inuzuka bloodline it says non-dog inuzuka are mostly deviations or other clans. I plan on doing a full clan write-up and request once approved.

2) My bad, assumed I didn't have to do until I reach the PL for it, I will place below the quote.

3) It didn't matter that much, I just chose a random time frame, changed to 2 days.

4) I've actually decided to stay Academy Student

5) Made a name change request to Takeru, just waiting for the approval.
Name: Takehaya Takeru
Age: 13
Gender: Male
Sex: Male

Personality: Takeru is not a nice individual. He is often described as cold, stubborn, and unpleasant. He doesn't care for these descriptions of him, and he doesn't deny them either. Their family, being the head within their branch, was certainly far more privileged than many others, part of why they hold themselves to a much higher standard than others. Typically the family head is the eldest of a set of siblings, so obviously Tamaki got a lot more attention than the other two siblings, especially once she received her companion and started her training. This built some animosity between the siblings, especially from Takeru.

The real trial was bonding with the little spirit, and upon the end of the storm it stuck around. Like his father and his siblings before him, this little spirit became his companion.

Write up for my Spirit Animal:
Name: Hibana

Description: – In its innactive state Hibana takes the form of an electric spark that seemingly floats around. Upon closer inspection one would realize that the spark shoots a tiny bit of electricity toward the ground just to keep it in the air, otherwise it would begin to sink to the ground. When active, typically in combat, Hibana will expand its size, becoming what appears to be a hefty adult man. The bottom half still appears as pure lightning skating across the ground, just at a much larger scale than his inactive form. His eyes and his mouth appear as pure light, his face has a strange facial "paint" connecting where his hairline would start down to his nose. This form seems to also have hair, for some reason, along with facial hair covering his chin and connecting to his bottom lip. Finally, Hibana seems to wear more traditional garb, similar to a shogun or samurai, though it provides no actual defense as it is all part of his semi-incorporeal existence.

Personality: – Hibana is a very energetic and temperamental creature. His boisterous nature and crazy shenanigans can attract unwanted attention quite easily, which often goes badly for him. He can be extremely impatient, excitable and impulsive. As Takeru puts it, "he simply gets too fired up for his good." But he is also shown to be a kind, helpful, and social person who easily gets along with others. Though he cannot speak he attempts to communicate with gestures and his expressions.

Hibana is a huge glutton for food, his strange composition makes his sense of taste dilluted but he can taste anything intense, like anything with a lot of sugar or incredibly spicy. He is very affectionate, loves hugging people, and has little sense of personal space, especially towards Takeru. Luckily the electricity that forms his body doesn't seem to harm anyone if he doesn't want it to. He is quite jovial in combat, often dancing around and making light of the situation, almost as if he doesn't quite understand the weight of the situation.

History: – Hibana's origins are a bit of an enigma, much like many of the spirits that come to bond with members of Takeru's clan. Hibana can't really trace back to when he was born, but the first time he gained consciousness occurred during the aforementioned storm, a but before he showed himself to Takeru. Hibana was a simple bolt of lightning, riding the storm like any other, when the presence of this child alone in the forest stirred something in him. Takeru's father, Toshiro, explained that their clan had a certain draw to them that started with the original founders, though the logistics of it was unknown.

Once Hibana gained consciousness he felt connected to Takeru, a desire to protect him, and the boy was in danger in the storm. Like a lightning bolt Hibana was excitable and impulsive, and without a second thought he struck down near Takeru, nearly hitting him but just far enough to give the boy a little scare. Hibana wanted to tell Takeru that with him he'd be safe, but Hibana couldn't speak, so he just danced around Takeru, tempting the boy to follow. He decided that if he couldn't communicate with the boy he attempted to lead the boy out of the woods, steering clear of where lightning would strike soon. Takeru realized the spark was leading him out of the storm and stopped, conveying that he had a trial to complete and couldn't leave. Hibana was confused, but couldn't convey that feeling, so he stayed with the boy, actively leading him away from strikes of lightning.

After the storm was over Takeru called Hibana useful and bid the creature to come with him, taking the lightning orb to meet his family. There Hibana met with other sentient lightning bolts, belonging to each of Takeru's siblings and his father. Though Hibana couldn't communicate with the humans he was able to converse with the other lightning spirits. Through them he began to understand the purpose behind his existence, to stand by Takeru and fight with him, like all spirits before him. Hibana doesn't quite understand how the world works, but he follows Takeru to this "academy" and learns along with the boy. His curiosity gets Takeru in a lot of trouble, however, as he sometimes can't control his excitement and his electric body doesn't always agree with the surroundings. While sometimes annoying he is Takeru's partner, a decision that cannot be changed, so they try to make the best of their relationship.
