Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.
Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.
Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.
The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.
His search for a cure was being useless, all of his research weren't bearing any fruits, the knowledge that cloud provided him wasn't enough, he needed to leave, he needed to roam the world, find new knowledge and he had to do it before his state got worse. He made his way towards the exit of the Cloud Village, he didn't want to waste anymore time.
Tomo was on his way to see Sei, hoping to bring her food to stay on her good side. Re-entering the village had been a nightmare, and he prayed that she wouldn't make him go through it again. "I hope she likes donuts." However, when he arrived, Tomo didn't see anyone around. "Maybe they're on break?" The thought seemed silly, but it was quite possible. Heading closer, he noticed a man heading straight out of the gate. With the lack of guards, and this guy not even stopping to show his verification, Tomo approached. "Hey, um, don't you need to show your passport? If you don't, the gate keepers will probe you on return." Tomo mumbled under his breath while rubbing his hindquarters. "I learned that the hard way."
Tama approached the gates of Kumogakure, knowing that she should have reported in sooner. But Shiri-tan was still the most important person to her, and so she had reported to him first. "I'm probably going to get chewed out by everyone," she grumbled as she made her way to the gate. As she was walking towards the gate from the outside of the village, the chuunin noticed a man hurrying through the gate towards her. He must have urgent business somewhere, Tama thought to herself.
Then she heard her brother's voice from inside the gate, something about the man not having a passport. Great! Tama thought to herself, if he gets in trouble for trying to leave without permission, maybe I won't be in as much trouble for coming back late! The Mochizuki girl stopped in the man's path, blocking his way forward. "You might want to listen to my bro. He's generally right about these things."
[Topic Entered - Caught (Unless I can't catch people from outside the village)]
Kitsune had arrived at the gate to fill out some routine paperwork regarding some medical procedure the gate guards wanted carried out on immigrants, because for some reason Cloud were still getting them. Instead she arrived to find not just Tama, but Tomo as well. ”Hiya Tama-chan. Long time no see.” Kitsune said and grinned.
Katsumi turned around to look at the voice that called out to him, calling him out for not showing his passport, hard to do as there were no guards at the gates and not even a second after, a girl stepped in his way and talked to him, telling him to listen to her brother, again something hard to do as there were no guards, but she might be one, but then again he didn't even at passport to begin in. He slowly took a step away from her and gently bowed with a smile. "I'm sorry that I can't present a passport, my business outside these gates is not something that requires that much paperwork." He reached inside his jacket, pulling out a bottle of pills and showing them to the girl. "You see, I'm very ill, my body is slowly killing itself and not even the best doctors of Kumogakure have been able to help me, besides delay my eventual doom and pain, and I am one of them." He opened the bottle and took one of the pills and placed the bottle of painkillers back into his jacket's pocket. "So I only wish to be able to go outside before my life reaches an end. You wouldn't deny a dying man's last wish, would you miss?" He said with a soft smile on his lips.
A shout to Tama startled Tomo, and he lightly jumped in surprise before turning to see the Medical Sennin, Shinrya Kitsune . After this embarrassing moment, Tomo returned his attention to the black-haired man, and listened to his sob story explanation for his attempt at leaving. Tomo tilted his head and crossed his arms. "If people in the village can't help you, what do you expect to accomplish outside? And couldn't you simply explain this to the Raikage and ask for permission to pursue this predicament?" Tomo wanted to say this before Tama could speak. His twin was always the emotional, impulsive one. Turning his attention to the redhead behind him, Tomo bowed in respect before addressing her. "Isn't that right madam Sennin?"
Tama waved excitedly at Kitsune, "Kicchan!!! You recognized me!! It's been awhile hasn't it!" She would have flying tackle hugged the woman, if the man had not started speaking to her. She listened to his story, he was dying and didn't have the time to sit through the red tape of Kumo beauracracy. She understood, but at the same time she didn't. "If your doom and pain stuff can be delayed, can't it be delayed long enough to get permission? And yeah, isn't Kicchan over there someone important in the medical branch, like Tomo said? She could probably help you out with the whole get permission to leave thing." Tama regarded the man before her, he had good reason for his move, but the desperation from his illness was probably impairing his judgement. "Also, if you do get out of here without a pasport, wouldn't that mean Kumo would have to hunt you down? If you're ill and searching for a cure, wouldn't it be better to search without having to worry about people trying to kill you?"
She paused for a moment before thinking of an idea. "I got it! Why don't we go together? Let's get mission release stuff from Kicchan, and go search for your cure! It solves all the problems! First, you get to leave the village alive. Second, Kumo doesn't try to kill you once you've left. Third, I save your life by finding cure stuff! It's foolproof!" Granted, Tama knew very little about anything medical. In fact, she still thinks that her body fights off infection by punching germs in the face.
”Regardless of your circumstances, Katsumi-kun.” Kitsune said and looked at him ”I’m afraid you can’t be allowed to just wander off without a passport. Wouldn’t want you to go missing all of a sudden… One might suspect foul play here.”
She shook her head, then turned her attention to Tomo and smiled. ”Correct Tomo-kun.” she said with a wink to the kid. Yes, she knew who he was, after handling Tamas councelling years ago, she looked into Tamas background and found she had several siblings, including one Tomo, who was also a Main Branch shinobi.
”Kinda hard to not recognize you, dear. I know no shinobi that’s as excited and hyperactive as you.” she said to Tama with a giggle ”But you should know, Tama-chan, I’m not just someone important in the medical branch. I’m the Sennin of the medical branch. Which is why it saddens me to see one of my mednins trying to leave town without a passport, and trying to get off the hook by using some sob story.” Kitsune looked at Katsumi with a cold glance. ”So, Katsumi-kun, how do you want to do this? Are you going to return to the village, like a good Shinobi? Or are you going to resist and fight me?”
She didn’t want to fight Katsumi, but if she had to, she would. She’d also be violent and burn him to a crisp. Well. Perhaps. Either way, the choice was his. The ball was in his court, so to speak. Kitsune were out of cards to play that turn, and she had laid her trap cards, and summoned a monster in defense position. Well, not really, but you get the idea.
Figthing, fighting, fighting, seemed to be all they could think off, not even letting a dying man simply perish by himself. He sighed at the girl and the boy, and as the Medical Sennin intruded as well, for some reason believing that he would do other things outside the village, he only wanted knowledge, but they didn't need to know that, they would only need to know that he would be dying once outside the gates. He once again reached into one of its jackets, pulling out a wallet, it was filled with his personal ID and Medical License card and then untying the headband around his arms and extending them over to the Tama girl. "I do not wish to extend my life that way, I do not wish to have my body slowly weaken and kept alive by the said medicine. I give you all my identification, you may mark me as deceased as that is what will be happening to me soon, I do not wish to die inside these walls. But I wouldn't want my blood on your hands Shinrya-sama, besides I probably wouldn't be able to put too much of a fight either." He said showing off his soft gentle smile once more.
Tomo closed his eyes, thinking on the situation at hand. You know what you have to do Tomo-boy."I know Haruki..." His eyelids lifted and he gazed at the weak man before. "Letting you leave...is unacceptable. What example do we set if we let someone leave just because they don't want to die here?" Tomo's brows furrowed. "Why don't you want to die in Kumogakure? Shouldn't your death be here, with your family and friends?" Tomo had no idea if what he said meant anything. So many shinobi had no close people to speak of. Was this man the same? Did he really have no one to call friend? "If you really believe your life has no meaning, if you really believe that you just want to die, why not making it worth something? Go on a mission. Kill lowlifes before you go. Do SOMETHING worthwhile if you truly think your futile existence has no meaning." A light fire burned in Tomo's chest, and he was taken aback by it. He never thought he'd care so much about some random stranger living. No...that wasn't it. Tomo just hated seeing someone throw his life away for no other reason than, 'I'm going to die anyway.'
Tomo produced his bow, but did not draw it. "As a Kumogakure shinobi, I cannot allow you to break rules like this. Loyalty is all the village asks of us. Betraying that trust, dare I say, is worthy of death. For you don't just betray one, you betray all." Despite his speech, Tomo took a few steps back, but not from cowardice. If a fight did break out, he needed space. Glancing to Sennin Shinrya, Tomo waited to see if it would come to this. Tomo didn't want needless death, but he also would not let the man leave, no matter what.
Tama took the man's wallet with his ID and headband. Ooookaaay? she said to herself. This man, Keisuke Katsumi (going by the name on the ID), was an idiot. Sure he had a kind gentle smile, and yeah he had been dealt a bad hand, but the whole 'I don't want to prolong my suffering' schtick? There was no fire, no spirit left in him. It was one of those extremely rare instances where her position on the matter was identical to Tomo's. Why die away from people who cared about you? At least give them a body to mourn, it brings closure. Or go out with a bang, like some of those warriors in the tales she read. They go down into the abyss and slay as many monsteres unitl they are overwhelmed. Tama sighed, "Welp, I guess if your mind is set on wimping out, there's no reason to delay it any longer. I had thought at first that there might have been some grand purpose, some goal you felt that you had to achieve so badly, that you were willing to risk everything for it. But guess I was wrong, you were just in a hurry to die. Man, that's disappointing. I was looking forward to the adventure too." Tama was genuinely disappointed. Not only was the adventure she had already planned out in her head not coming to pass, but he sounded like he wasn't even going to put up a fight if it came to that. No one would want hear about the dying whimpers of someone who had given up on life.
Kitsune sighed. ”If you don’t intend to die within these walls, you should’ve gotten yourself a passport. Again, I cannot let you leave.” she said and reached to her hip, where her sword was sheathed, placing her hand on the hilt of the stylish rapier with her clan insignia embossed on the decorative end piece. ”Once again, return, or I will be forced to put you down.” Kitsune said, sounding a bit disappointed. It was a fairly simple thing. If you want to go outside, you get yourself a passport. How could Katsumi not have bothered to request one?
Enough was enough. Kitsune’s patience had run out, and if Katsumi refused to return to the village, she would not hesitate in cutting him down.
They wouldn't allow him to leave and they seemed adamant about it. Katsumi sighed and took a few steps away from the girl and grabbed his sword by the sheath, yet not drawing it, sure he could leave and attempt another time, but how long would that take, how much time would it take for him to get a passport, possibly too lost for his taste. He turned his face at the Shinrya woman with a soft smile. "I thought you as a person of medicine would understand where I stand, but I guess in the end we all only care about ourselves." He said as he extends his arms, opening himself as he held his sword on his left hand. "If you will put me down, at least leave my body outside and make sure you hide it."
Tomo lifted his bow level when the man began to draw his sword. Electricity sparked from the tip of his arrow, giving Tomo's face a purple glow. However, the sickly man held his arms out, indication he was surrendering, and wanted his life to end, though he looked to Kitsune as he said this. Tomo exhaled. "Then there's no more point in hesitating." Tomo had killed before, namely bandits and feral animals. But killing a fellow Kumogakure comrade...he couldn't rid himself of the pit in his stomach. However, this was a part of his job. Whether he liked it or not, sometimes brethren had to be put down. Feeling that it would be a waste for the Sennin to kill a lowly shinobi, Tomo's eyes quickly scanned the man before him. "A shot to the head, clean...quick..." He located the weakest point on the man's forehead and took in a breathe. He felt the light breeze shift, and recalculated his trajectory. "Wherever your spirit may go, may it find peace there, where it could not here."
However, before Tomo could release his devastating attack, he heard someone call him from behind. "Manager-in-training-sama!" The Genin recognized the voice as Kanno, a young boy from the Mochizuki Troupe. Tomo's lightning died down, and his bow fell to his side. The use of the sama suffix told Tomo that there was trouble. "What's wrong Kanno?" The boy breathed heavily as he reached Tomo. "I-I'm supposed to tell you...t-that the cow jumped over the moon." Tomo's eyes widened. "Did the fork run away with the spoon?" Kanno shook his head. "Not yet." The young man lightly cursed under his breath. "Damn, not again." Turning to Kitsune, Tomo gave a deep bow. "I'm sorry Sennin Shinrya, but I can't waste time here. I must go, my people need me. Lives are at stake."
Facing towards the village, Tomo pulled out his scroll with pre-made ink creatures within. Unrolling it, he tapped onto a specific spot. Out popped a miniature pony. Tomo replaced the scroll with his ink well and splashed the small ink creature with the extra liquid. Suddenly the tiny ink pony was now a full-sized horse, complete with saddle and reins. Tomo jumped onto his creation and held a hand down to Kanno. "We ride!" The boy grabbed the Genin's hand, and Tomo hoisted him up. The ink horse whinnied once. "Hyah!" Tomo urged the horse forward, heading into the village. And thus, Tomo and Kanno rode off into the sunset.
Tomo seemed primed to fire, when a little guy Tama remembred from the Mochizuki Troupe (but couldn't recall his name) ran up and called for him. Ah great, interrupting the battle just before it begins, thought Tama to herself. But when Tama heard the code-words spoken she understood, there was trouble brewing at the Mochizuki compound. The phrase "the cow jumped over the moon" was only supposed to be used when the most urgent of problems occurred. When Takama, Tomo and Tama's elder brother had gotten wasted. And that meant he was probably trying to show off his "drunken fist style" to the girls around the troupe, which was usually by trying to fight random passersby. The code "did the fork run away with the spoon" was asking if he had seriously injured or killed anyone yet. Tomo was usually in charge of keeping Takama in check, so it was his responsibility when things went awry. Because none of the other siblings of the Mochizuki Troupe wanted to deal with drunk Takama.
As her brother rode off into the sunset, Tama knew that she had no time to dawdle either. "Kicchan, then let's finish this up quick. I probably will need to assist my brother," she called out to the medical sennin. "No more talk then, buddy," she said to Keisuke as she prepared to strike.

Kitsune sighed and cracked her neck. This would be interesting to say the least. Or, it would have been if it wasn’t just another attempt to escape the village without permission. She looked at Tama, and nodded ”Let’s do this Tama-chan.” she said and smirked. The plan was a simple one, after all. Beat up the attempted traitor, then go home.
The mere prospect of action had gotten her blood pumping. Tama gave a salute to the sennin, "Yes, ma'am!" It was also a good chance to see if those six years spent stuck in limbo were worth anything at all. Plus, it was always nice to have a little stress relief. Her meeting with Shirinai had gone differently from how she had imagined it. And while she couldn't exactly say she was unhappy with the outcome, the fact that she had lost six years with Shiri-tan irked her immensely. Tama took a few breaths to calm herself, it was her first performance in six years, she wanted to it to be spectacular. Pity the audience couldn't have been bigger.
It seemed a simple strike wouldn't be enough, they really wanted to bring him a warrior's death and Katsumi obliged. He knew he didn't have a chance against both of them, maybe if he was fighting only one it would be possible, but even with his skill, he lacked true combat experience.
The actors have gathered upon the stage with Tomo exiting stage left. This left Tama and Kitsune squaring off against the considerably weaker Katsumi. A moment of silence and reflection took place between the three combatants. A cold wind blew through the gates before Kitsune squared off against Katsumi and focused her attacks on him. While this happened, Tama started to analyze her opponent's weaknesses, finding a way to exploit his weakness. After assessing Katsumi's weakness, she decided on the proper element to use. Kitsune did the same.
A dark wind blew as Kitsune's form began to change, molding her into a strange figure with dark armor and claws for hands. This armor, however, doesn't provide much for underwire support nor does it help reduce drag of movement due to a natural body structure of Kitsune's. Upon completing the transformation, Tama released a wave of terror, to which neither Kitsune nor Katsumi was effected by. In response to the wave of terror and the changed form, Katsumi raised a giant barrier to protect himself. The barrier was pristine and beautiful, feeling warmth and comfort within the dome.
In response to Kitsune's form change, Tama decided to follow suit and change her own shape. Upon changing her shape, she summoned wind around her own body. While Tama did this, Katsumi felt absolutely sluggish and compelled to not do anything. As this occurred, Katsumi's body locked up before Tama came in for a good ole-fashion beatdown upon the immobile Katsumi. <CENTER>
