Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Mental & Physical
Due to his fantastically perfect childhood, the Senhyakku boy is unfamiliar with insecurity and fear. Always speaking his mind and believing in others, he never has a bad thing to say about anyone. Uplifting doesn't begin to describe his effect on people. He can't help but help people in need and always takes responsibility for whatever unhappiness is around him.
Unfortunately living a pure life comes with many downsides. He has trouble grasping trivial concepts and tasks people take for granted, because his servants did everything for him. His overblown innocence has left him unaware of the concept of lying. He is gullible beyond reason and can't tell a lie. His good nature has left him merciful to a fault.

Eiji is a twenty year old boy with blonde hair down to eye level and light green eyes. He has an adorable boyish face and he sports pale skin in desperate need of sunlight exposure. The affluent Senhyakku clan has bestowed a natural tendency to be as well dressed as circumstances allow, so he is usually wearing expensive designer clothes. Lastly, Eiji is rarely seen without his signature weapon: a hearty, welcoming smile aimed straight at your soul!

History
Eiji was birthed into one of the luckiest environments a baby could be summoned. Born Senhyakku Eiji of the rich and famous Senhyakku clan of Konohagakure, the well known owners of Senhyakku Inc. Their family business handled important water transportation and water needs of many small villages. He enjoyed all the finer things in life before he could walk. His baby bottle was always full of another flavor so the little one could have them all registered for future reference. Calming and melodic music played every day to nurture the soul. Nothing but genuine smiles from his two loving parents, their butlers and their maids. Not even the faults that usually come with rich families with distant parents, for his mother always took care of him when his father couldn't due to work. The only problem Eiji faced, which would only prove problematic later in his life, was receiving too much love.

By the time he was three he could pronounce all the commands he needed to announce his necessities. The help would assist him with anything and everything, thus he never did anything alone nor went anywhere alone. His servants truly corrupted his natural learning curve, because he never got a chance to practice eating alone, playing alone or using the restroom without supervision let alone intervention.

When he hit four years, he was blessed again, this time with a cute baby sister. She too benefited from all the blessings that came with the Senhyakku life package: health, wealth and love.

Around the time he was 6, Eiji started to interact regularly with his baby sister. They would play together at all times. Now for the first time the company that never left his side was his age, although the servants were there always too. The two toddlers had all sorts of lavish playgrounds and expensive, well crafted toys that could steal the attention and drain the boredom from any child their age.

Ten year old Eiji was a very cute, kind, caring, gentle child full of confidence and smarts. This garnered all the kids who weren't completely governed by their jealousy to call themselves his friend. He would always do the right thing as his father taught him and never hurt others physically or emotionally. Never did he speak a bad word about others, always polite. The teachers would always use him as the example for everyone to follow. His name became synonymous with excellence and outstanding behavior. Yes, he suffered from rare instances where he wouldn't know how to do some basic everyday things because his servants always did it for him, and such trivialities are beneath him in the common knowledge of his household. But overall he was the most popular kid in his private school by far. His sister went so far as to pick up the habit of never letting go of him and always wanting to play with him. It got so common that sometimes he wouldn't even notice why one leg was heavier than the other. "Yeah so when miss Brown handed me my report card-" "Hey Eiji why are you slowing down?" "I don't kno-WOAH" "Oni-tan!" "San, not tan! Get it right!" he yelled in a tsundere manner.

In his school years he started to become very protective of his little sister despite her clinginess. This endearing personality trait morphed into a full blown psychological issue one evening when he was only 12. Some of the jealous kids from the school decided to teach him a lesson for being so perfect. Having already confronted him before and lost, they decided to go after his sister. Eiji catches wind of this and rushes over to protect her, but it's too late. He finds her crying blindfolded, tied to a tree with permanent marker doodles all over her warning him to drop his Mr. Perfect act. The guilt ridden Senhyakku cried the whole way because he felt that if he had shown the perpetrators more compassion, they would have never dreamed of committing such atrocities. Ever since that day a slight paranoia haunted little Eiji. To quell this bad feeling he began taking ninjutsu classes with the ninjutsu master of his father, Master Huehue. Master Huehue taught only water ninjutsu, which his family had been using for their water company for the last few generations. Focusing on one element was taxing enough on the boy and his parents were against it altogether, but Eiji wouldn't accept a no, so Master Huehue did what he did best: Letting things take the shape of their environment, i.e. providing the rough environment that would mold the boy into an exceptional water shinobi.

Two grueling training years later Eiji confronts his parents about their over-protectiveness and the fact that he and his sister never get to do anything without supervision. That as long as they have each other they should be fine. Besides the fact that he was starting to become very good with his ninjutsus, there should be no problems with safety. After a long debate they finally conceded. Eiji wouldn't settle with doing a picnic in a sunny park together or going to see a movie either; he was determined to show everyone that he could weather the true elements of life. He was going to an arctic zone to fish and live a couple of days alone. They wouldn't allow their daughter to take that chance so they forbade her. Eiji had to cut his losses and figured it would be hard enough the first time without his sister to take care of. So the 14 year old mini-shinobi embarked on his first personal journey of self discovery, genuinely alone for the first time.

Eiji arrived by caravan to the barren arctic zone the locals called Barakka, which translated into "crazed," because they all understood well the mental circumstances one must bear to go there. All he had with him was a bag of food and a very large jar of water. As the caravan drove away, Eiji felt a kick in the gut. He looked around and the kicks kept coming. He thought this was how the arctic worked, he didn't know what fear was or felt like. He began to walk into the territory Barakka. Once he found a nice blizzardy spot, he unpacked his bags. He went to work building an igloo for shelter. He decided to use all of his chakra to do so since he wanted to do the rest of the trip without using any jutsu to know how normal people deal with problems. Eiji pulled out the huge container of water and opened it. Thanks to Master Huehue's training, he was successful in controlling the water and holding it in place long enough for the cold to freeze it. He was determined to deplete his chakra, and after 15 minutes of holding the floating liquid he managed just that. Once satisfied with his igloo house, he headed inside to rest up because his shoulders were killing him, but somehow he built the entrance too short because he couldn't fit no matter how many times he tried to walk in. "Oni-tan, that hurts!" "I thought i told you to stop saying tan, sis........-WOAH!" His little sister was sitting on his shoulders the whole time! "Mom and dad are gonna KILL me! We HAVE to go back" He couldn't even imagine how bleak his future looked. "Look lets just stay one night, then head back! No harm done! The caravan doesn't come until tomorrow anyway." After rinsing his brain with a second thought, he cooled down and went outside to get his bag of food. Turned out his sister used it as her first class seat, so the bag was empty.

After about an hour of chit chat, Eiji heard a weird sound come from his sister's belly. Then a sound came from his. After about two hours of discussion and inquiry they deduced they were sick with the illness they read about in books called "hunger". Left with no choice but to fish for their food, Eiji sans chakra or tools began to bite at the ice beneath them, "Open you darn...!" His sister had had enough of this illness and found an opportunity to show her brother up, so she conjured up the little chakra she learned how to maneuver into her foot and kicked into the ice. "Hah! This is how you take responsibility, oni-"

It shattered, along with a part of Eiji's heart. His sister had fallen through!

He panicked and he reached into the abyssal hole, but she wasn't there. He couldn't dive in or else nobody could pull them out, he knew this deep down. With no chakra and out of options, the upper-class, elite child was utterly powerless. She disappeared in a split second as if she had been an apparition all along. Reaching into her grave, a whimpering whisper slipped out of his mouth as if to convince himself she was still there, or merely to hear it one more time, "-tan..."

Now a man of 18, Eiji goes on his quest to re-establish his persona of man vs reality. His first stop, Sunagakure, the sand village, or to be more precise, the desert around it. He heard that it was undoubtedly as harsh an environment as Barakka if not more. Out of his element, his jutsu would hold no water around these parts. He built his tent improvising with objects he found thus far in the desert using no chakra; you never know when you might need it. After establishing his abode in a sandy part of the sandy desert he went out to do his rounds to maybe find other interesting things. "Sand...sand...scorpion...sand...girl...sand...sa- His eyes went back to the fifth object on the roster. He walked closer to be sure he wasn't experiencing any hallucinations. Sure enough there was a girl sunbathing in the desert in front of him, "Hey you look kinda corpsey! Are you alive?" No reply. He took her back to his tent to make sure she didn't die on his watch.

As soon as she woke up he pulled out some water, "Here drink this" She reminded him of his sister, so the protective side came up "You shouldn't be out there on your own! Silence. She avoided eye contact and seemed withdrawn "Whatever it is that you are scared of, don't worry anymore. I am here now." Still as talkative as when they met. He felt like comforting her, "Okay, look. Ask me anything. I'm a really honest person!" He never understood that word “honest” but his servants would throw that word around a lot and it always seemed to bring smiles. After a pause, “'Did your parents ever do anything bad to you?” Eiji instantly thought back and the traumatizing memory of his childhood rushed into his head, ”They took away my Teddy...” The girl began to smile. This relieved Eiji and made him smile as well. The relief was short as the girl admitted, “I ran away from home.” She grabbed the bottle of water and downed it. ”We should head to Sunagakure and patch you up” suggested Eiji. ”Yes!”

Eiji had saved this girl's life, so in his mind it was his responsibility to make sure she live. Her clothes were in tatters and she had been beaten by the sun. He had no money because that would be cheating in his one on one against nature, and she was poorer than he. They decided to go to Sunagakure where they would get their feet on the ground and figure out their next step. They both had the necessary documents to enter, but the Hayashi was frozen by the skeleton that was the entrance. Eiji had to snap her out of it "Come on, let's move. We need to find a place to rest" Once inside, they rented the cheapest place to stay that didn't compromise their safety. They had nothing to pay with, so Eiji had to go out and deign a living with his water jutsu. His politeness got him many jobs, but his naiveté got him low pay and bad hours. He made enough to sustain their bare-boned lifestyle, and that was all he wanted. His hard work had him sleeping deeply every night while Sayuri couldn't. Slowly his reputation grew in the odd jobs department and fair jobs with good pay came his way.

After a few months of searching, he finally found an adequate home for Sayuri, so he could resume his adventure. He packed his bags, grabbed her hand and started out the door. They didn't head towards the gate. As soon as the orphanage was in sight she voiced her disaproval, "I am going with you!" He wouldn't hear it. He would have no peace of mind with a companion. She didn't stop venting, "Men are all the same...you cannot trust them" "I don't want to see you die again!" screamed Eiji standing still now, back facing her. His subconscious wasn't sure if he was holding Sayuri's hand or his sister's. "That's why you leave me, isn't it? So you won't..." Her morbid choice of words made it clear what would happen if he left her alone. She didn't understand his feelings, "'I lost my sister because she came with me. I...I wasn't strong enough to protect her. The haunting memory returned vividly. "Then help me become stronger! Teach me to use water as you do." He couldn't leave her alone and he couldn't take her as she was. He had to consider it his only option besides living a sedentary life with her. "I cannot live without you" The coup de grace turned him around. But he, they, had too much adventuring to do before he would be satisfied. He stared into her leaking brown eyes. He couldn't stand those tears of sadness. Without a word he walked past her still holding her hand tight, and they began to walk back home. "Thank you, Oni-chan" she said; tears of joy. "Oni-tan," he corrected with a choked whisper.

Eiji prepared a rigorous training program that would catch her up to speed. As perfectly planned as it was, somehow it all fell apart. She couldn't produce a bubble, let alone a spout of water out of her mouth. Even the basics were out of the question. Then one arduous day she spat fire, which took them both by surprise. Eiji recalled an old lesson from his master, "'My master once told me that people have affinities to certain elements. I guess you have one to fire. That will be very useful for self-defense!" It seemed chakra molding lessons would be the fan her flames needed. The water user couldn't believe how quickly her fire grew over the next few days. She became another person when expressing her ardency with pyromancy. His good sense and water mastery were the perfect combination to put out all her fires. With the ideal conditions to train without holding back and her indescribable natural talent, the Hayashi's skills surpassed any expectations he conceived. She was ready. They had no further need for shelter or modesty. That day Eiji packed their bags, grabbed Sayuri's hand, and headed toward the gates of Sunagakure, free of debt, free of nation, free of insecurities and free at last.

There is more in their past to uncover but that is for another day!
