Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It didn’t look good. The springs and screws that littered the floor made it look like a clock had exploded in workshop and for all Yume knew it had. Why was she called in for this again? It wasn’t like she was a mechanical expert. No, that was more Sousuke’s forte. When she received the request she thought that there must have been some mistake but after double-checking, it seemed that Sousuke had specifically asked that she take care of Kitchenzilla for him while he attended to other matters.

It’s just you and me girl. I’ll get you working in no time.

She had watched the Steward work a little, mostly in secret when she was on her way to her own research, and wondered how he wrapped his head around such a task. Sitting at his work bench, she pulled up her schematics and read over them, a smile gracing over her lips. The wires wove back and forth across the page, sending pulses to and from the different components, gears fitted together and hydraulics were in place to assist with motion and other functions. Perhaps mechanics wasn’t too different from the functions of the human body. Setting to work, the MiT (mechanic in training) found her maintenance panel and opened her up after issuing a shut down command. Her face twisted and brow furrowed as she was met with a tangle of greens, purples, blues, and multicoloured wire of every type from cables to twisted pair to single twisted strand for the more delicate connections. It took a moment of study to make heads-or-tails of the dog’s inner workings before she found what seemed to be causing the problem; a few wires to her Protection and Warning system had been cut and had managed to get wedged in the sprocket of what appeared to be a stomach. What the Steward’s pet needed a stomach for she was unsure, but perhaps it was to allow for a sense of realism? Just because a person could survive with only one eye or an amputation didn’t stop them from getting prosthesis.

Twisting her hand this way and that, she managed to free the offending wire and splice it back together by twisting the frayed ends in opposite directions and covering it with electrical tape. Sealing her back up, Yume would flick a switch and watch the life return to her mechanical form. Whirs and clicks could be heard as Kitchenzilla performed her system checks and tentatively tried to stand.

How is my patient feeling now?

Woof, woof, bark, >pants< (I am feeling, as Sousuke would say “Superior”. Thank you!)

She would chuckle a little at the last remark. He would say that, and in this case it made sense. She was superior to her former self. Now Yume would just have to mention what the problem was to Sousuke so that he could fix it properly instead of just the band-aid that the med-nin applied. She didn’t feel comfortable enough with a soldiering iron to attempt replacing the whole wire. Taking a break to eat, she would take out an apple from her lunch and start to munch, pondering the best way to let him know as she wouldn’t see him for awhile due to being on night shift for the next few nights. Glancing into the paper bag, she would catch sight of a blue berry muffin covered in cling wrap. She had an idea.

When she was done, there was a folded note left on his workbench with the baked good detailing what she had done. After signing her kanji there was a cheeky addendum.

P.S. I made you a muffin.
