Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: Shenlong
Age: Early teens

Physical Description:
Shenlong is a rail thin waif of a boy that can be easily mistaken for a young girl as his facial features have a softly feminine quality to them and he wears his dark hair long enough to stretch down just past his chin. He has lively forest green eyes that are always active with an inquisitive energy as he takes in events around him. Seemingly often frustrated with what he describes as the "loathsomely limited senses of a human being", Shenlong is often looking around himself and over his shoulder in a series of mannerisms which might suggest to casual observers some kind of intense paranoia when in reality he simply feels frustrated by not knowing what is going on around him in his immediate presence simultaneously. He dresses well for a young man as he hails from a monied family with a rich pedigree of history with Sunagakure but takes it a bit far for even a young scion of a noble house as he is never seen without a large fur-trimmed red cloak that billows around his person. Always clean and stainless despite accompanying him everywhere, Shenlong seems unperturbed by the weight of the cloak or by the heat that wearing such an item must certainly inflict upon him as he wears it strapped across his shoulders as a "symbol of his providence" as he would say.

Mental Description:
On all levels except physical, Shenlong is the dragon king that he purports himself to be. He is possessed of a singular haughtiness that only comes to those born to positions of true royal privilege which is nothing if not very odd given that the Oroku Clan that he hails from is far from royalty despite their affluence. He is whole-heartedly convinced that he is the reincarnated dragon king Shenlong and behaves in a manner which might be expected from a fearsome mythical beast that is thousands of years old despite the fact that he is a young boy around the age of twelve. He is arrogant and can be extremely petty but is also extremely intelligent. He does not lack understanding that his persona as Shenlong the dragon king is something that causes others to view him as demented or insane and has on more than one occasion used that view to his own personal gain. Still, while he is quite intelligent for his age his temper is considerable and often overwhelms his better judgement which can reinforce the perception that he is suffering from some kind of perpetual insanity.

His single great love is for reading though the subjects of his ravenous appetite for new literature never seems to be of particular importance. He has his favorites of course, specifically those tomes relating to historical accounts of past events as well as books on popular and ancient mythologies but the actual subject of whatever he is currently reading always seems to be secondary to the ideal of having something to read. He will often suggest if asked about why he is so consumed with the hobby of reading that it is because he has spent so much time in the realm of the dead that it is important for him to catch up the difference in time between his death and his rebirth. Much has happened in the world and in his mind it is of paramount importance that a monarch be well-read on matters such as history and politics.

Despite his eccentricities in relation to his delusions of being dragon royalty, Shenlong gets along reasonably well with others as long as they first and foremost respect the integrity of his claim to being a dragon. He refuses to be referred to as human or have it be suggested that he is not in command of his faculties and chafes significantly against the perception that he is crazy or enthralled by some kind of mental sickness. Still, he does not look down on humans for he claims that in his time he was one of the few benevolent rulers of humankind having always viewed their kind as interesting despite their short lifespans and regrettably fragile physical bodies. His only resentment towards human beings is towards those that would disrespect him by attempting to force him to confirm and "admit" that he is not who and what he says he is which is to say he resents others that attempt to force the identity of "Oroku Senku" upon him as he holds no attachment to that human name given to him by the woman who spawned him.

History:
Shenlong was once a mighty dragon which ruled over both the heaven and earth in an age long lost to the world of men only recalled by the most truly ancient of spirit creatures. Gargantuan in size and effulgent with power there were none who could dispute the divinity of his existence until it was that fierce Shenlong was laid low by the deeds of a powerful spirit beast by the name of Orochi, who himself was a rival king of dragons. It is perhaps easy to understand the resplendent king's immeasurable disappointment to discover that having inherited a second chance by the grace of the powers that be he finds himself reincarnated into the frail physical form of a human boy.

Or, at least this is the story that Shenlong has been telling since he was old enough to speak. Born as Oroku Senku to parents Ishida and Kaya of the affluent Oroku Clan of Sunagakure, Shenlong has been telling the tale that he is a king of mythical dragons reborn in the physical cage of a human boy from his earliest years and has always refused to answer to or acknowledge the name given to him by his parents-- people that he is only willing to acknowledge as caretakers having physically birthed him rather than as actual parents or agents of authority over him. Deemed afflicted with a psychosis that has warped his imagination into preventing his mind from separating fiction from reality, Shenlong has always been kept separate from the other youth of Sunagakure for fear of the embarrassment that he might bring down on the Oroku Clan with his tall tales of being a reborn dragon king. Still, despite his apparently ironclad delusions of grand destiny and rebirth Shenlong's parents still hold out hope that perhaps some day he will develop out of his condition and blossom into the heir to the family name that they pray he will become for the boy's talents are extensive. A voracious reader and student of history, Shenlong is fascinated by all things about "what the world has become in his absence" as he would say and only maintains a veneer of normalcy when absorbed in his studies.

At the advice from some of the family's most trusted advisors, Shenlong's father has elected to enroll him in the Sunagakure Academy following a display of talent for chakra manipulation to hopefully put an end to the boy's fixation on his grand delusion by giving him a goal to accomplish and peers to relate to.
