Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Changing Shinobi 101 (Slashing to Gen DC) > (Non-Elemental uses Gen DC)

Throughout his travels Shieo had undergone many changes, among these changes was the way in which he fought. While his talent with bladed combat hasn’t necessarily reduced; it simply shifted into a style slightly more practical to his newfound powers and the uprising of his Draconic Wrath skills. As his usage of the Flying Thunder God tools, momentum and movement hadn’t been eliminated from how he fought- It was simply shifted into being more of a defense maneuver than a means to offensive capability. Ultimately this decision to shift the use of his primary combative momentum was due to the awakening of his Dragon's Wrath mark, and it's newfound capabilities. All of which were predominantly dependent on wielding some degree of range from his enemy.
In large this change centered around the usage of what was otherwise known as non-elemental techniques, moves that were overall much more free to manipulate, mold and use to the user's choice. With the mark of the dragon, Shieo is capable of manipulating this unaligned chakra with his fiery temperament and create devastating effects from a safer distance in order to barrage his foes, few or many with a heated assault capable of utterly annihilating anything in it's path.

It would be a lie to say Shieo abandoned his ways with Genjutsu, quite the opposite in fact. It was more centric on the fact he realized when it came to Genjutsu he was far too slow to act with poise and confidence in combat. His aptitude for advanced, terrifying Genjutsu remains; but in it's original form he suffered with being too slow to adapt to the situation of combat and afflict his foes with the illusions for them to make any significant tide in the course of the engagement. It was because of this that he realized he was in dire need of changing the pace of his momentum.
With the abandonment of the style of combat that wielded on the air of impeccable stealth and efficient use of the shadows. To utilizing a heightened degree of speed and momentum in order to overpower his opponents. Whether it was with quick use of genjutsu, tools or his newfound powers utilizing the dragon's wrath mark. With this strong emphasis on efficiently using his time and speed over the act of stealth was far more aligned with the new style of combat that used a mixture of Ninjutsu and Genjutsu specialties.

Weapon Mastery > Curse Seal (Giving myself Curse Seal; so it will suffer the 2 week penalty every use)

While his efforts to divide his combative aptitude and focuses away from strictly genjutsu and using bladed weaponry in order to inflict satisfactory damage. He had slowly been weaning away from utilizing his bladed tools in order to kill; and advantaged them towards defensive maneuvering and utilizing his incomplete Flying Thunder God technique in order to keep his distance away from his foes. Of course, as he begun to lean his techniques towards the defensive positioning. His touch for ensuring certain strikes were bloodletting the enemy had started to grow a bit more rusty than it had originally been.
Around the same time all this had happened, was during the travels through the Bear Country and his sojourn had lead him deep into the dwellings of a gargantuan mountainous cavern; in here a great deal of trial and error had taken into his life. With the suffering of loss of chakra, the weakening of his energy reserves and stamina in the sub-zero temperatures and the challenges of enemies constantly hounding him was something he had to endure with great effort.
In this time of struggle. Shieo and Bahamut had begun their synchronization unknowingly, through this the Dragon's Wrath mark had expanded deep into his system; more in spirit than biological. But it would in time start to affect his biological makeup ever so slightly as well. With the mark he had started growing more resilient and a heightened degree of power begun to overtake him in the signs of struggle. This was later monikered by Shieo as his 'Dragon State'.

While slightly ironic in the paradigm shift of how Shieo had handled combat. His normal means in order to force his enemies in a state of constant injury by targeting specific parts of the body that were known for causing the most bleeding, challenging to heal or were in effectiveness the best place to target to maximize the output of damage and injury to a person by using any sort of weaponry, tool or jutsu. While this style is effective with the focus in closing-distances and constantly barraging an enemy with close-quarters or at least fast ninjutsu. It was quickly discovered that such a method of battle was ill-fit for the Genjutsuist. Where he was a bit of a hybrid of Genjutsu which took its time, and used Ninjutsu to optimize everything into a seamless package.
However as his style started to reshape itself into something of the hybrid sort between Genjutsu and Ninjutsu. He had realized that there was an increasing necessity to ensure that his defenses were more rigid and capable of withstanding the impact of faster, more brutal combatants that he was bound to face. So he adapted his knowledge, his understanding of how a body worked- it's weak-points. And practiced how he could utilize movement, armor and various tools to reduce the impact or alleviate the damage all together.

Maleficium - Youkai Contract Ability
The counterpart to the Kami, Youkai are often shunned and ostracized despite not necessarily being malevolent. This is no doubt due to them being naturally drawn towards mischief, as well as their capability of spreading havoc and misfortune where they appear, whether intentional or otherwise. It has become superstition that no good can come from associating with Youkai, not without cursing onesself and others with misfortune.

Effect:
- Those who hit, or have been hit by, the user become cursed with misfortune. While in this state, should they roll a 1 on any Dodge/GenSave roll, the opposing attack becomes a Critical Hit. This cursed status does not stack regardless of source, and lasts for the remainder of the round.
- The user and all of their attacks are considered Cursed.
  • Should a character have the Archsage Kinjutsu, their Senjutsu Manipulation ability's alignment becomes Cursed rather than Holy.

Miasma - Youkai Contract Independent Special Move
Youkai are capable of generating an ominous, vapor-like energy that causes disturbances to their environment and invokes feelings of paranoia and dread from those nearby. Should feel explainable feelings of anxiety and doom, it could be the presence of a Youkai.

Effect: Every round the user may create a miasma cloud for 1 AP. This miasma provides a number of benefits, but exactly which is used must be declared at the time the miasma is made.
  • 10% chance that any attacks directed at the Youkai Contract Summon or their summoner will auto-miss. Upon causing an attack to successfully auto-miss it will disperse the miasma cloud. This does not stack if there is multiple miasmas being used in this way, rather that 10% chance is rolled twice (so if there is 10 miasma clouds being used in this way it does not mean that there is a 100% chance of a miss but rather ten 10% chances that the attack will automatically miss.)
  • 5% chance that a combatant (this may effect friend and foe but the summoner and the Youkai summon themselves are considered immune) will automatically dispel a random maintained jutsu or technique (this includes jutsu that do not require chakra to maintain). This effect can be maintained indefinitely and can stack up to three times. These Miasma will not disperse if they cause a maintain to be dispelled.
  • The miasma attacks every opponent (may also be used to attack self or allies). There is no limit to the number of opponents the miasma will attack. This happens at 0 seconds timing and can be used as a conditional (such as 'attack myself if bound') but once the miasma makes it attack it will disperse. The miasma uses the user's Accuracy type of choice with a +1 Accuracy/DC bonus and deals 250 damage. Exactly when the miasma attacks an opponent must be determined by the user.
Note:
- There is no limit to how many clouds of miasma can be out at a given time.
- There is no limit to how many times a target may be effected by a miasma in a given round or a given battle.
- The summoner and the contract summon are both immune to these effects unless the user elects to allow themselves to be effected.
- This can effect creations and clones.
- Any time an AoE Wind attack is performed, one Miasma cloud is destroyed. An AOE is defined as an attack that targets multiple targets simultaneously (including ninjutsu spread). Additionally 'Wind' is defined as anything that uses 'Wind' ninjutsu as a part of its base element.

Heartseeker - Youkai Contract Senjutsu
A Youkai technique that condenses natural energy into the form of a glowing spear, launching it at their enemies. This spear, shrouded with their miasma, diffuses into the target it strikes, cursing them with an even stronger effect of the Youkai's miasma.

Effect: Attacks up to three targets for an attack that deals 3960 damage. On a full hit, the user choose one of the below effects to inflict upon the victim:
  • Makes all their jutsu or actions cost +10% chakra. This can stack up to three times. Lasts up to three rounds.
  • Makes all their attacks deal -10% damage. This is calculated before damage reduction. This can stack up to three times. Lasts up to three rounds.
  • Each time an action is made (jutsu, withdrawing an item, basic strikes, etc.) there is a 10% chance that the called shot of a random limb will be increased. This does not stack. Lasts up to three rounds.
Cost: 3 AP, 2750 CP

Note:
- Jutsu subtype is chosen when the contract creature is designed; determining its accuracy and damage type.

As any person that wields a semblance of experience in combat. One can never truly be considered complete, if you've plateaued you've lost the long battle. Which to most, is death if you're still serving any sort of military establishment. Such a concept carries deep within' my recent developments, from being someone that emphasized a certain level of speed over force of power or mind. I find it a bit admirable that I was able to get over the wickedness thinking that forcing the enemy to bleed out was an... Effective or an appropriate means to combating them. And in time I eventually found myself slowly leaning away from such tricks of the trade. For better or for worse.

As a turning point to my new path leaves the mind and eyes wandering to my right hand, arm and everything in that area. Stretched from the finger-tips to my shoulder blade is a mosaic of tribal-like tattoos that seemingly tell an ambiguous story of a pack of wolves. They are my relationship to the Youkai, a species of sorts. Trapped to their world without place to go due to something holding them back. Much like the three that now can be called by me, monolithic creatures that share a twisted sense of familiarity to me; isolation and eventual realization of their purpose. It's ironic in a poetic sense, but I guess I've found those I can confide to. Even if they're demonic wolves, and they too me.
