Story said:Shiga is six foot tall with a slight lean build. He inherited his grey eyes from his father and his dark hair from his mother. Coming from a merchant family, the boy developed his rapid logic and calculation skills as well as memorizing the key location of the world. At the age of ten, however, his family's merchant cart was raided by bandits in the Red Mountains. It was unfortunate that they have gambled everything on this trade; they had hope that this one last risky trade would profit them for the rest of their lives. Now their parents were forced out of the city as farmers and Shiga was 'kicked' out to find his own way of life.
For the next five years, his answer was becoming a thief.
It was just so easy. If he wanted to, his presence could remain undetected in the most crowded areas of the city. A single run in the city could profit him enough to live for a week. It was a life simple enough for Shiga, a life he felt no sadness or happiness in. He expected to die living this way, he would reach the old age of eighty before passing away.
Until he was caught.
Shiga wanted to venture deeper into the more secure part of the city. He knew there was more risk, but one run could last him a whole month. These last five years grew his confidence to a dangerous level, he felt like he could even accomplish this in the central city itself.
The boy cloaked himself with his chakra and stepped inside the entrance way. Immediately someone tapped him in his shoulder. A rough looking man peered through him with a smile. A shine reflected off of the metal into Shiga's eyes. The boy looked at it closely, rubbing his eyes.
A village headband.
He knew his life would never be the same.
[...]
"You sure this is a smart idea? We should at least have him go through a class or two." a voice nearby whispered.
The boy looked around in daze. He felt his arms being tugged by a rough hand as he tried to remember the series of events that occurred. He remembered looking into the headband then shifting his gaze towards the man's eyes. It was at that moment he felt his mind numb into subconsciousness. He tried to tell his right arm to punch the man, to get that extra attempt at the escape, but his arm just hanged there like a cloth on a pin.
"No. It would be best if he stays away from the village's influence, the very may corrupt his way of thinking."
The man seemed to have noticed Shiga's state and stopped. He knelt down to look him in the eyes.
"Do you believe in Fayth?"
It was a very abrupt question, one the boy did not fully understand. Fayth? What was this place? He opened his mouth to retaliate, then stopped. He studied the man's right eye, looking for any signs or signals, then opened his mouth again to speak.
"No."
The man laughed. He rummaged through his inner pocket to pull out a small black cloak. He tossed it to Shiga.
"Wear it. Starting from today, you will be following my directions."
The boy looked at the cloak, then back at the man. His curiosity got the best of him and he found himself taking his first step on his own.

The Nara are undeniably some of the sharpest geniuses in the world, their minds thinking both swiftly and possessing the ability to think multiple lines of thoughts simultaneously and have each arrive to conclusions faster than normal shinobi can process one thought. Yet, their laziness seems to be a birthright just as much as their intelligence, and the Nara have absolutely no motivation other than napping under the clouds all day. their abilities aren't simply limited to being Mental; Each possesses the ability to use a special type of jutsu that involves manipulating the shadows of themselves and their environment to a variety of effects.

Story said:Wisps of grass twisted gently around the air, singing its song of lament. Across it was a swift and thunderous sound of open water flowing from the west to the east. The noise of the water rapids silenced the grass who seemed just as content to just swaying back and forth with the wind. It was a scene that resembled his current life being a shadow in the village’s light. Whenever the village roared, he would take an extra step away to guarantee his silence. It was such a trait that got him hired with a roof over his head and some food to fill his belly. To lose it quite possibly meant the loss of his own life.
The boy sat by a large boulder, his back leaned on the flat side of the piece. He always wondered what it would be like being born into a nobility family. Someone with such a position would be always surrounded by people, always having a light to guide the way. Would he have found his ability still?
He picked a flat rock from the ground and flicked it into a still spot in the water. The stone bounced once, twice, and thrice before falling into the rapids. Shiga sighed and picked up another stone to flick when his eyes caught a glint of metal on his right. He stopped his throwing motion and turned his head to get a better look at the sight. It was a head of a human of bobbing up and down the water, its body almost invisible under water. Shiga stared at the sight, bewildered. What was that thing doing there?
The ANBU focused his chakra around his feet and started to walk upon the water. The turbulent water rocked him back and forth, but he managed to adjust his chakra in almost a swinging motion to counterbalance the energy. After several minutes of plunging himself in the water and drifting couple meters, he finally managed to reach the head.
Shiga squatted down to brush the hair out of the face. The head move upward to which the boy fell back in surprise. The head’s mouth opened in an attempt to speak only to gulp large amount of water and choke. Realizing by now that the ‘head’ was alive, the ANBU rushed over to lift the head over the water. To express gratitude, the head sprayed water from the mouth to his face.
”Just kill me now, you sons of devils. It’s better that way.”
Looking closer, he found out that the person was a girl. She was wearing a robe-like clothing made from a very expensive fabric. Shiga shook her.
”I don’t even know who you are… I am trying to save you so stop moving, it’s hard to focus with this rapid water.”
The boy attempted to push her up towards him, but it was fruitless. For some reason, a barrier-like force stopped the body from rising above the water. The girl shook her head.
”Don’t bother; even the one who conjured it cannot break the bind. “
He ignored her and attempted another pull. This time, a stronger force blocked his way.
”How did you end up this way? Who did this?”
The girl stopped as if to almost think about it, and then raised her head to speak.
”I am a medical ninja from a nearby tribe. My comrades… they betrayed me.”
The boy nodded for her to continue on.
”I was a renowned ninja for my medical skills. The head of the tribe was sick and many of the
medical staff have attempted to create a cure. In the end, it was due to my countless hours of research and foraging that saved our leader. I was rewarded with a seat by the head of the tribe and riches I can live off of for the rest of my life.”
Shiga groaned. He could already see the ending.
”…the rest of the medical team grew jealous of my rewards and have been plotting behind my back. After two moons, the son of the head inherited a different disease. It was a disease who knew how to cure, but I was ultimately summoned to treat the son.”
”One of my team members succeeded in sprinkling in the poison from a deadly flower into my medicine. I was so blind with my prior achievement that I just hastily provided the treatment. The son, of course, died minutes after. I was then banished here to die within this river.”
The ANBU smiled at the girl. She stared back at him as if he had gone berserk. She had expected him to pause… to at least give her sympathy for her story.
”Medical shinobi of an unknown tribe. What is your name?”
”Kaede…” she answered slowly.
”Kaede, do you curse your life? Do you wish revenge on those who have brought harm upon you?”
Kaede blinked.
”Yes...of course, but can you even help me?”
The boy smiled and placed his left hand towards the girl’s neck. Small strings of shadow enveloped the Kaede’s neck and face and drained what was remaining of her life. Using his right hand, the ANBU channeled his black chakra along with a sliver of himself to her body. He felt a small part of him, his memories of his teenage life slowly riding out of his body towards the Kaede. It was a strange feeling. His brain did not know who she was, but his mind felt like he knew her since the day she was born.
When he was done, he let the body tumble back into the water, now freely flowing down the river without the barrier. He himself let his body fall to the water, his eyes towards the reddening sky.
”You’ll soon see.”
