Contract Mastery
The technique they use to communicating with their contracts was rather different than customary blood offering that traditional shinobi participate in. Instead, Shu and his brother spent most of their time focusing on their spiritual energy and exploring the near depths of the spiritual realm and because of their strong connection to the spiritual realm their associates are able to walk enter in and out of the physical realms like an open door, perhaps to the dismay of the boys especially when it came to Ango. As an older man, Shu hopes to pass down his knowledge of the spiritual realm to those who won’t abuse it.

Human Anatomy
During the days of old, before the common era, shinobi could not afford to wait for a mednin in the heat of the battle. They could not afford to having broken limbs when their lives were on the line, especially when homebase was more than a day’s walk away. It was just as important to be able to interrogate and disabled an enemy without too much effort given the circumstances. The existence of shionbi were still an unknown through the world so being able to take down a person with great precision without being heard or seen was an imperative feat that every shinobi needed to posses.

Thick Blood
As an old man like himself, one would think that man’s body will deteriorate and be susceptible to more injuries easily compared to a man in his youth. This is quite the contrary for any shinobi who trained most of his life in battlefield. Shu’s body has been accustomed to all forms injury from serious torture to a little paper cut; his body has becoming nothing more than a piece of high grade rubber absorbing mostly anything that comes at him. In addition, with his training as a spiritualist, his barely feels any damage thrown at him in the physical realm.

Weapon Mastery
Traditional shinobi always carried a weapon whether it was as large as katana or as small as a kunai; a shinobi must be able to master his own weapon. The ability to master a weapon was very important to someone like Shu given the war that plague most of his life. In battle there would be times where a weapon could not be found a man needed to use his wits to fashion a weapon for himself. This would be a twig or a leaf, nothing was off limits. Eventually, Shu and his brother would go even further by binding their spiritual energy to any object making it more potent and capable of cutting both body and soul.
