Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Haru's sleeping habits were always in a... state of flux one would say. Whenever he found something he was really interested in, a book, an idea for a piece of art, trying to perfect a certain jutsu, he would fixate on it quite a bit, even ending up sneaking out of his room at night...only to be found by his father on the training ground, He always felt his father was somewhat impressed...but still angry for him not keeping a healthy sleeping schedule, which made focusing harder. With time he learned to control the impulses a little bit better, though the fact he had his own apartment I the Sietch allowed him to...indulge in his late night work. Well, not much of a house, more like a storage compartment for his works which also served as a spot for him to sleep in... Lately there has been also one other factor. His dreams. Often times he simply dreamed of landscapes, imagining how other countries looked...vising them, alone, with friends...but sometimes the dreams took a much...darker tone. The memories of recent events still quite fresh...he had a stint of such dreams lately, which ended up in him trying to force himself out of sleep...yet, in spite of the coffee and his feverish work on a project he was thinking about, he ended up dozed off on his desk, deep in sleep...now a lone figure, in the middle of a raging desert, clad in cloths to hide from the surrounding storm... Little did he know that tonight, he would end up with a companion like no other before.

It was her first night home in what felt like far, far too long. She had spent the greater part of a month in the hospital under careful observation by the administration there who had a very keen interest in both what had ailed her and what had caused her miraculous recovery. By all intents and purposes she should be dead by now, after all, and the fact that she was not only notable alive, but feeling better than ever had them all equally perplexed and intrigued. Now, as she finally had a chance to sleep in her own bed, she relished its comfort and warmth. The familiar floral smells of her home were almost as comforting as that first hug from her father when she had awoken, and while he, nor her mother, could be with her at every moment, this would have to suffice.

So much had changed since a month prior and yet so little. Her capabilities had increased a great deal, empowered by the awakening of the Spirit and the Many and by her own new found understanding of what was before an enigmatic mystery. She still could not dream on her own, the Spirit had apparently stripped her of that ability when it incubated inside of her, but she still was able to dream-walk, as she called it. When it had first appeared years ago, it was limited to those she could touch. It grew to extend past her bedroom and then even her house and now she could not tell the limits of how far it reached, as no one who she had encountered was familiar and she dared not simply ask them where they lived. So, as the creeping blackness of unconsciousness placed a firm grip upon her, she felt that familiar pull elsewhere as she drifted off to sleep…

This dream was not uncommon for the Sunaku. AS cliché as it may seem, he did love the desert, the wastes of it, the wild power it could have over the humans trying to live in it...especially as of late. As the storm raged in his dream, his body clad in dune walkers garbs from head to toe, making him somewhat unrecognizable...not that it would be that important, after all...tis was just a dream.

Still, something felt...different right now. Like he was missing something before he could truly start...he moved, the sandstorm around him raging still...until he started to see something in the distance...a silhouette? Using his expertise in controlling sand, he picked up his pace, starting to slide through the hot soil under his feet, feeling a hint of worry? Curiosity? He wasn’t sure why, but he felt this was something he had never seen here before... perhaps it was just the dream playing tricks on his mind. But he was quite curious to find out.

As her form took hold inside of the dreamscape, she could feel the harsh winds buffeting her as grains of sand attempt to scour her skin into oblivion. Instinctively, she raised her right arm to shield herself from the sandstorm, garbed in her usual clothes which offered little protection against the harsh elements, imaginary as they were. "Ugggh, it is so dry here!" complained a young girl's voice next to her, who looked even less prepared to be out in the middle of the desert. The girl, whose hair softly glowed a light purple color, matching the vibrant hue of lavender in her eyes, raised both of her own hands to try and block the sand as her ling hair and robe billowed against the wind. She looked no older than thirteen and a glinting forehead protector bearing the symbol of Kirigakure kept the two sides of her robe closed.

Tsubaki closed her eyes and concentrated on forming a bubble to protect them from the elements. Within moments a transparent bubble expanded from her, encasing the pair in a clear shield that occasionally shimmered a rainbow hue for a fleeting moment. She let out a sigh of relief, having momentary respite against the winds. This may have been a dream, but that didn't make the discomfort any less real here than it did in the waking world. "Come on. Whomever it is has to be out there somewhere. Just stay close and the bubble should keep you protected." Tsubaki's voice was firm and authoritative, she was, after all, the walker here and her companion was only there for the ride.

Bobbing up and down on her feet, looking like she wanted to spring off and dew a few somersaults for the sake of it, the robe wearing girl reluctantly nodded and replied, "okaaay. Have it your way. I am just glad to be able to stretch my legs for a bit! It was sooo boring being asleep for soooo loooong." As the pair set off, the companion did her best to stay close while pushing the boundaries of the protective bubble, looking eager to hop out of there at any moment.

He could feel it somewhere, out there in the desert...but he couldn’t quite come to terms where exactly it was, but something was calling to his attention in the harsh, vast desert...something he felt was...colorful? Why he could feel color, how could he know? This was a mysterious place after all...also the fact he was seeing a rainbow glint far in the distance might have been a hint. Curious he slid through the san towards it, the harsh winds keeping away from his as he slid closer and closer. Finally, he was in front of the barrier, behind which to younger figures were hidden...one quite familiar.

Tsubaki, the somewhat older girl (well, older in contrast to his other students) who was attending his classes...why was she here? How did she manage to brave through the desert? Well, the barrier, obviously... when did she learn to conjure it? There was time still before he would teach them that trick... Still, it was pleasant seeing here. Some companionship would be nice...yes, he had a good feeling. Gently revealing his face from his desert walking grabs, he smiled and extend his hand, offering the two girls to follow him. AS he stepped closer the sand around them seemed to calm, the storm still around them, but Haru managing to control it enough to not have it be a danger to them.
