Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

So Appalled [Requesting Entrance]

"Life can be sometimes ridiculous . . ."

It had been a while since Umashi had been in this position, waltzing up to a foreign gate with relatively foreign papers asking for a far from normal request. Kin at his side, the ever odd contract was once again in a form that looked to mirror Umashi save for his golden garb and equally colored eyes. Umashi found him gaudy, but if he wasn't already used to that, there was the newest edition of Gin, who was like Kin, only silver colored. Looking like a shadow clone jutsu gone wrong, Umashi continued to approach the new Kumogakure gates with eyes open to any possible attempts at his life. In such a vulnerable position as he was, one wrong step and he;'d bleed out in the snow with nobody to help him.

Announcing himself because he was aware that he was always being watched, Umashi raised his hands in a universal symbol of non violence. Of course he was a ninja and he could have just as easily shot lasers from his eyes but he wasn't trying to overly fret over the details of the optics. When he was pretty sure that he was close enough to the gates, he simply stood around and waited for somebody or something to greet him. There wasn't much a rush, he'd retired from one gig just a bit past the middle portion of his life. Any crisis that he'd face after then would probably never attain to that level and that was a comfort to him unto itself. Dressed in a warm cloak, he fathomed that he could give things a few good minutes before he worried overly much.

OOC: Umashi is walking up with his contract creatures, twin Tsukumogami that look nigh exactly like him save for their name appropriate color scheme of Gold for Kin and Silver for Gin.

It was hard to miss the former Hokage making his way towards the gates of Kumogakure, at least when he wasn't making any attempts to conceal his approach. He might have very well been aware of the eyes upon him as he neared the village even before setting eyes on the gates. Given that this wasn't the first time he had come to Kumogakure and his notoriety, it was no surprise that he was recognized and his arrival in the vicinity of the village broadcast over radio to Ayumu. If the former Hokage was coming, that was easily grounds for Ayumu to drop what he was doing and head to the gates to greet him. And Ayumu did just that, making his way to the gates in such a way that his arrival was timed very shortly after Umashi's. The gates would open just a crack a moment after Umashi raised his hands. Through the gates, Ayumu stepped out and laid eyes upon Umashi.

"Umashi. You know that's not necessary- you're welcome here, though your arrival comes as a bit of a surprise!" Ayumu announced upon seeing Umashi's raised hands. He understood of course, that Umashi could never be too careful. As a kage, even a former kage, certain parties would be more than happy to have an excuse to rob him of his life. It just so happened that Kumogakure was not a part of that particular group. Ayumu raised a hand making a signal to the guards that Umashi would be allowed in if he wished and then lowered it slightly to beckon Umashi to come closer.

"What brings you here, friend? Food was so good last time you couldn't help but come for a return visit?"

Clapping his hands together and giving a respectful bow, Umashi smiled as Ayumu walked up to him. Greeting his old friend, he nodded at his two contracts as they lagged a bit behind him to allow him a moment with Ayumu. "Old friend! Indeed, the food was calling me back but my visit is for a bit more than a vacation." Having had more than enough time to figure out how to properly express what was going on. Going for the direct approach, Umashi produced both his own and as well as the passport papers of his entire family. Holding them out to Ayumu, Umashi spoke up about just what was going on. "The way of Konoha Hokage is that when they retire . . . they relocate to somewhere new and start fresh. Well . . . it's been a decent year wandering around but it's probably about time that I actually did something to keep the fat off . . ." Smirking, Umashi wasn't surprised when he overheard Kin and Gin holding back laughter.

Glancing down at the papers, he thumbed through them and looked at the names as they passed by. There was his own, Yomi's , their year old triplets, Yasuo,Kato and Michiko, the giant dog Besito and Yomi's deranged, ever . . . blocking . . . and utterly annoying by Umashi's standards, sister, Asuka. It was a decent sized party, true, but Umashi wasn't trying to leave anybody behind. Giving his full attention back to Ayumu and not the papers, he continued on.
"So, midlife crisis aside . . . got any spare mask that I can wear? I'm still pretty handy with a kunai!" It was as genuine a request as there was and could be given without saying too much in a very public place. Leaving it up to the Raikage to accept or deny the request, Umashi waited with bated breath on what he would say. Though he'd given Kin the task of delivering the news to Takeshi and returning, even that wasn't as nerve wrecking as this particular moment was.

Ayumu listened, but he wasn't sure he quite believed what he was hearing from Umashi. The man had made mention to Ayumu once in Tea that he had been considering retiring to a home in Lightning Country. Ayumu hadn't thought too much about it, but apparently that was a real thing that Hokages did. They went away in order to make way for the new Hokage. Ayumu glanced at the paperwork Umashi had, a bit dumbfounded. Even if he had expected Umashi to be retiring to Lightning Country, that was one thing, but he intended to settle in Cloud? And the new Hokage, Takeshi, was okay with that? Not only was it Umashi but also the former Hokage and his wife Yomi as well as their children and a family member. This sudden revelation was a bit overwhelming to say the least.

"Wow," was all Ayumu could say for the moment. But the surprises didn't end there. Umashi hadn't come right out and said anything exactly, but he was asking for a spare mask and boasting his abilities with a kunai. 'Is... is a former Hokage asking to join Cloud right now? Nah, that can't be it I must be misunderstanding,' Ayumu thought to himself as he stared at Umashi quietly with a blank expression for a moment. "This... is a lot to unpack right here at the gates. How about we head to my office so you can tell me exactly what's going on and what you're asking here," Ayumu suggested. If Umashi was in agreement, Ayumu would lead the way to the Torre Celeste where they could get a bit of privacy and Umashi could take a load off.

[Topic Left if Umashi is ready / Entrance granted]

Nodding, Umashi could do nothing but respect Ayumu's stance. It was a lot to handle at one time and it wouldn't do the situation any justice if there was such a quick and hasty decision made now. "Aye, I'll follow you. It's probably best if we discuss this over a warm drink anyway." Signaling to Kin and Gin, they'd nod and follow respectfully enough behind Umashi and Ayumu. Hopefully this would lead to a newish beginning for the former pirate, and hopefully Takeshi would hold up his end of the bargain as well. Stuffing the paperwork back into the inner folds of his cloak, he'd let all the other fears fade away into the past. Kumogakure was simply as awesome and welcoming as ever.

OOC: Short post is short. Topic left, following Ayumu.
