Kenshin made his way back to the training ground. It was time to host another class. He made sure to announce it on the Leaf Message board at the head of the Academy, instructing students to come to the training grounds in work out clothes. With him, Kenshin would have multiple crates. Some of them made a dull clanking sound as it was moved, getting some odd looks from others as he walked. Another crate, under the other arm, made a more pronounced clanging sound when moved haphazardly.

Smiling, Kenshin would find a spot under a tree near some training dummies. He would throw both crates down making an awful racket but not really caring. He would lean against he tree, arms crossed waiting for students. When they arrived they would find Kenshin, clad in black tank top and shorts, with two decent sized crates on either side of him. 5'8 with grey hair, he would appear sterner than he actually was or was at the moment, and as each student approached, he would give similar commands.


"Pick a spot and begin warming up. 20 crunches, 20 push ups. Save introductions until everyone shows up." he would say in a neutral tone.

It was time to train the next generation and he would do his best to train them.

"Okay..so my first class is gonna' be on the training grounds."

The thought passed through Sadao's mind as he turned from the posted notice. The paper he had read dictating where his first class was being hosted and who was teaching. The note described what the appropriate wear would be for students attending. This detail resulting in Sadao heading to his home and swapping his usual shirt for a loose, black tank top that had the Uchiha insignia printed on the back and right side of the chest. His legs guarded by his usual black shorts. Sadao's spiky black hair being tied back so his face was clear and his ponytail would be an explosion of spiky locks.

He seemed to be the first amongst his peers to arrive at the training ground. Greeted by the taller Jounin, Yuu Kenshin. A sizable guy. It seemed his clothing was similar to what the Uchiha selected, albeit Kenshin appeared in proper athletic shorts whereas Sadao remained in his cargo shorts. Training seemed to begin almost immediately. As he approached the instructor and presented the proper respect for greetings, instruction to warm up his muscle was given. The youngster selecting his own little square of land to do his exercises. Dropping down to the ground and repeatedly pushing himself up, then dropping down, only to repeat the process. The same going for the instructed performance of crunches. His core tensing and relaxing with each rep. The corresponding number being called quietly as he warmed his body up.

"Ich, ni, san.."

The young Uchiha was not the only student to notice to posting of a new class on the bulletin board. A pair of twin siblings also saw the notice saying to meet the instructor in the training fields. There was also another notice for a different class on the training fields. However considering they know not a single genjutsu they are likely going to find themselves ill-prepared for it. This would be their first class so they chose a subject they know a little bit about. When they got to the area said to be the location of the class they saw only one other student has arrived.

The Twins were an interesting pair to say the least. Despite being a brother and sister set they looked quite similar in appearance. One might have to wonder if it was possible for there to be identical twins of different genders. Their attire was equally strange and not very shinobi like. It was a little on the flashy side and tended to draw attention to them rather than allowing them to hide. The two were big fans of the sennin Yume and sought to be idols like her.

Their names were Rin and Len and they were Hakuren’s first creations. They had a childish personality and quickly became big fans of Yume. True Hakuren created them using a part of her own soul, but they were still entities apart from her. They were fit to sign up for the academy as another child of Leaf despite how they were brought into the world. Hakuren found it interesting how inseparable they were, but at the same time was not surprised. They were somehow created from the same soul. Though how did a single soul create a pair of twin was something she could not explain.

"Hello we are here for the class" "We assume this is the place" Their question were met with a simple order from the instructor. Looking for a moment at each other they nodded agreeing that this is indeed the class they wanted to join. Rin proceeds to do crunches while Len did push ups.

When Ryuuichi saw the notice, he was actually rather happy. Taijutsu was something he was hoping to work on a bit more. Of course it wasn't as if he wasn't good at it, just different places had different styles and different people also had unique styles. What he had trained in would be much different from what he would learn here. Ryuu saw it kind of like a broth. The more items you mix into it, the better the broth became. That applied to combat as well. The different styles he learned, he'd be able to mix them into one and further himself.

Ryuu went home first after seeing the notice and got changed. A bit later he showed up at the training grounds where four others were. The obvious Jounin, a young boy, and twins. Ryuuichi arrived with the proper attire that was asked for. He decided to wear a simple white T-shirt with black sweatpants. The first instructions were push-ups and crunches so Ryuuichi started with push-ups. He put one fist on the ground and the other hand behind his back as he began one handed push-ups. Usually with an appearance such as his, it would seem as if he'd struggle with just crunches or regular push-ups but however that wasn't the case. If Ryuuichi's shirt was off then it would be obvious how he was effortlessly doing one handed push-ups. His body despite being slim was well built with the muscles obviously showing. The abs were developing well and his body was in great shape with a good build. Ryuuichi had been training ruthlessly for a long time, whether he wanted to or not.

After the effortless push-ups he continued on to the crunches. The only problem however wasn't if Genin were allowed here. The class was normally for students but Ryuuichi, a Genin, decided to show up as well. Hopefully he wouldn't get in trouble for it.

Kenshin looked around. It looked like everyone was here that was going to show up. Not enough. Not nearly enough. Leaf needed to grow on its own without relying on other nations like Stone. Still, the winds of change keep blowing and he cannot control them. No man could. All he could do was mold these young ones into warriors. Or at least mold them so they would not pass out the first time they are in a dangerous situation. Youth cannot stay youth forever. They must grow or face the consequences.

Kenshin would push off from the tree with his shoulders and roll them a little.

"Right listen up. The name is Yuu Kenshin. I am your instructor for this class and Jounin. Follow directions and you will pass. Disobedience is not tolerated. Introduce yourself and name your biggest fear. When you are done, start doing 50 push ups then 50 crunches." Kenshin would say his face looking at all of them in turn as they introduced themselves. As if to show the pace in which they should do it. Kenshin would begin with his own push ups and crunches at a reasonable pace.

"More ninja.." Sadao noticed his classmates had finally shown up. Two peculiar looking twins. They didn't exactly dress like shinobi or look the part, but then again: Who really dictated fashion and dress for students. Oh well, if they sought to grab attention then they had well achieved their wishes. The Uchiha stopping midway through a rep to gaze at the girl and boy. Taking note of their individual appearances before realizing the duo were dressed near identically. "Okay.." He thought. Shaking his head and sitting up. Standing upright, as his initial reps were complete and he now awaited further instruction. He noticed Ryuuichi not too long after. He seemed to be appropriately dressed for class.

"Hn," The young one grunted. He'd be the first to introduce himself. "My name is Sadao Uchiha. My biggest fear is.." He'd pause momentarily. An interesting question that he hadn't really sat on for long. There wasn't much this Uchiha was fearful of. What he was had to be something intense. Surely. It took him a moment, but he'd finally have a response ready. "Uchiha Sadao. My fear is losing what's close to me and being left alone."

With the statement issued, he quickly went to work. The youth dropping down to his face and doing, first, twenty five push ups without stop. Then, twenty five crunches. The young man doing something that would prove helpful. Distributing stress to his muscles alternatively rather than forcing one part of his body to work harder. The second half of his set done soon after the first set of crunches. This was cake, but Sadao refused to brag or say anything out of line. It was time to learn and follow instruction without unnecessary opinions and comments.

The teacher wanted more push-ups and crunches? Was this supposed to be a class or a casual workout? Why did he only asked for the two things? If they are to exercise like this, might as well add a little variety to it. Not to mention he was focusing on the upper body and the twins primarily focus their strength in the lower body. They wished to be idol that requires a lot of dancing around, so endurance in the legs was a must. However despite the complaints that ran through their heads, an order is an order and they will comply. “I am Kagamine Len and my biggest fear is being placed in charge.” Len was more of a follower than a leader. “I am Kagamine Rin and I fear the end of the summoning.” Being that the two of them are products of a creation jutsu, when the jutsu ends they become nothing but a soul. Losing her ability to interact and express herself is a frightening experience that she must face every time she comes into being. However it is unlikely anyone would understand the meaning of what she just said. “Sister you say too much.”

Ryuuichi finished quickly and stood to face the Jounin instructor. To be honest isn't better to state your name and then his own fear first? He did give his name though. But it would have been nicer to know of any fears he had so it didn't feel like he'd be attempting to use that against us in some way. However that didn't matter.

First off was the Uchiha who stated their name and waited a few moments. Were they embarrassed? After a moment they said their fear and after that the twins went. After that, it was just him. May as well be honest."My name is Ryuuichi Oosugi. My biggest fear would have to be failing to protect others especially if I have the power to protect them."

Ryuuichi didn't stick around after that, continuing back to the warm up. Seems the set got a big bigger this time around, but Ryuuichi went through it effortlessly still. Increasing the number wouldn't make it any more difficult. What was it? Same stuff, different day.

Different answers but similar. Interesting. Kenshin finished his reps and jumped up.

"Right. Now onto something a little more challenging. In this crate there is a bunch of wooden weapons. Pick one out of your choosing. Stand next to a dummy and show me what you have on my mark." Kenshin would say as he pointed to the crate on his right. They would find a bunch of weapons makde of wood but each would still have a sheen on it.

Kenshin would watch carefully and when everyone was ready, would shout

"Begin!"

All the while, Kenshin would watch them carefully his eyes staring at them intently. All the while, he would pace and watch.

 

[Uchiha Sadao]

"Weapons. Good thing dad taught me a thing or two. Let's see what's there.."

Sadao huffed as collected his breath. The warm ups were a cinch but still, he was but a human. Actions like those took a little breath and energy. Of the present, Sadao marched over to the box and dove in. Rummaging about before popping out with a wooden blade in hand. Specifically, a wooden tanto. Sensei Kenshin likely had plenty of knowledge on the arm. It had the same geography as a basic katana but the cut size of one. The length was about equal to that of Sadao's fingertip to elbow. A weapon meant for swift killing.

The Uchiha quickly went to his appointed training dummy. His eyes narrowing with focus. His selected tanto held tightly in his left hand, held behind his back while his right hand was held before his face. Index and middke finger raised, while his ring and pinky fingers were brought to palm, thumb placed over them. His hand used as a makeshift sight. Upon registering the word, "Begin!!" Sadao went to work. Beginning an amateurish assault on the dummy. Slashing in a multitude of directions and noticeably aiming for key points. Slashing at the dummys 'throat', sides and finally stabbing into the center of the chest. His line of attacks lasting a few seconds to a minute or so.

Now the class was starting to look more like an actual lesson. After the Uchiha had a go it was time for the twins to show off their stuff and they weren’t planning to hold back either. Rin walks up to a dummy with her hand glowing with a black aura. It sort of looks like healing hand but it seems rather dark. “Tainted Touch.” She then does a palm strike at the dummy and imbues the target with the dark chakra. A hand print was left seared into the dummy, but this was not the twin’s attack; this was merely setting up for it.

Len was already at the crate pulling out a pair of wooden daggers. Rin walks to her brother and transforms into him along the way. Len hands the pair of dagger to his clone and then grabs another pair for himself. This crate was quite well stacked with weaponry. After getting their weapons the two Lens stand in front of the branded dummy a few feet away from it. Their eyes change color from pools of blue to amethysts of purple. “Target locked.” They take an offensive stand before calling out there next attack. “Kamaitachi Attack!” The twins spin with great speed that they actually created a pair of whirlwinds. The two tornadoes trounce the target tearing the thing to pieces with their spinning attack.

As everybody else took their turns grabbing weapons, Ryuuichi again went last. Though it wasn't as if order mattered right? However Ryuuichi himself was more of a hand to hand and ninjutsu fighter, not much of a weapon specialist. Though he may as well make it work.

After everybody grabbed their weapons, Ryuuichi went up and grabbed something simple. It was just a wooden straight katana. With his weapon chosen he went to his designated dummy. With the weapon held in both hands, he gave a strike to each shoulder and a horizontal swing st the midsection before a finishing blow to the throat. Ryuuichi ended up wondering just what kind of weapon did their teacher prefer?

(OOC sorry for the late post everyone. I will try to be more diligent about it in the future. Work has been crazy)

Kenshin watched the students go to work. The Uchiha went for a blade and did some amateurish strikes. They could be deadly but definitely needed some more muscle behind them. The twins, who were far stronger than they looked, tore their dummy to shreds. Interesting. Ryuuichi would use a katana and do a basic combo. It wasn't bad but simple. Some extra training was definitely called for here.

"Enough." Kenshin would say as he saw all of them finish.

He would examine the dummies. Overall, decent work.

"Now for something a little harder to hit." Kenshin would form some handsigns and 3 clones of Kenshin would appear, making 4 Kenshins on the field. Each one of the clones would take a stance in front of each student bowing slightly. The real Kenshin would wave his hand, staying back from the fight.

"Your goal is to hit my clone three times, one of which must be a would be killing blow. You have 1 minute. Ready? Begin.

With that ,each clone would begin to move, not at full speed but enough that the students would struggle a little to keep up. Taijutsu was about strength but what about speed?

Hit the shadow clone. Alright, a simple task in itself. Sadao figured that such a mission could be carried out in a matter of seconds. Well, until he realized what he was required to attack. A clone of his teacher, his teacher being a Jounin. Jounin were supposed to be senior shinobi. So, surely Kenshin earned his rank and therefore had serious agility and movement options to insure he wasn't an easy target. With that in mind, it was only commonsense to assume those properties would carry to the clone.

Now, how would Sadao land the minimum three blows here..

"Right."

The word of confirmation rung in the youth's ears. He had something of a plan. It was only expected that he'd use his fists or the tanto in his hands, right? Well, if he used his legs and body as a whole, he'd possibly throw off the clone! If such a feat was even possible, anyway. The Uchiha's fingers tightened around the handle of the wooden blade, his entire body thrown forward. A front flip performed, his left leg extended with the intent of crashing onto his target's general body. Not necessarily aiming for the skull or shoulders. He wasn't expecting too much success, here. Had his leg whiffed or not, Sadao's next action was a sequence of coordinated slashes and slices. Each slash aimed for the foe's jugular and key muscle.

Now things are going to get interesting as the teacher gives the class another assignment. They were to attack clones of the teacher which may be more difficult than it sounds. However the twins then notice something odd. There were four students but only three clones. Was this an oversight? The twins do like to attack as one but they are still two students. A clone stands before almost each of them suggesting they all take on their own individual clone. However the wording of the orders does not necessarily imply that. The goal was to hit his clone three times, one of which must be a would be killing blow. He did not specify that each would need to hit the clones three times, but just that the clones needed hit three times in general.

With this plan in mind as soon as the clones begin to scatter, Len would start making clones of his own. Len would make three paper clones, which along with the transform Rin would make five Lens. Seeing the Uchiha going after one the Lens would immediately by trying to corral the clone to Sadao. The Len would go as far as to restrain the clone, if capable, to let the student beat up the clone more easily.

(Ok so I'm hella pissed. Twice I write up my post and when I hit send it says I'm logged out when I literally logged in after it said I wasn't the first time, and when I posted for somebody earlier well here we go.)

Ryuuichi looked around and saw the Uchiha start husband onslaught while the twins took a more tactical approach and helped out everybody by making clones. Ryuuichi was tempted to ask their teacher if he could use the real body since It seemed like the clones and the Uchiha occupied everybody else, however he decided to just follow orders and not interrupt class. Ryuu next figured he would help as well and made four clone. He sent one each to the Uchiha and the twins, leaving two clones and Ryuuichi behind.

Ryuuichi nodded to himself as they all charged the clone and the first dropped down and swung Juan legs behind their opponent's to attempt to sweep out his legs and simultaneously prevent him from going backwards without getting hit. Another charged at the same time and swung the sword horizontally at his opponent's midsection, and the real Ryuuichi leapt up and cleaved his sword downwards on their opponent's head. If all went well, this would mean three strikes and a killing blow. If not, with the 4 clones totlled hopefully they could land a couple blows upon any of the three opposing clones.

(Sorry for late post again. Dehydration so bad that I ended up in the hospital. Not fun.)

Kenshin watched as they proceeded to use clone jutsu of their own. Technically this was a taijutsu class but ninjutsu that supported their taijutsu so it was ok. The clone facing the Uchiha was quickly out numbered and he watched the clone version of himself disappear in a poof as the Uchiha landed his attacks successfully. One clone faced Ryuuichi and was took the hits easier than expected. It too disappeared in a poof. This left the real Kenshin with one clone surrounded by a lot of students.

"Smart thinking you lot. Out number your opponent. However that was a clone that was much weaker than myself. Let's try something a little more... dangerous.

Kenshin would form more hand signs and a new clone would appear, replacing his old one. It would appear to look like the last one except as it appeared it started weaving handsigns. A visible heatwave would emanate from him (Immolation Armor Master Rank). The clone would assume a battle stance.

"Taijutsu only against this one. Your clones will find him a little more difficult." Kenshin would shout.

As the students began their attack, the clone would launch a Fireball Jutsu (Master rank) at them. As they got closer and attempted to land their attacks, the heat would affect them and they would feel as if some of their attacks were hurting themselves. This clone would also be moving but was moving 3 times faster than the other clones. Kenshin would look on with a smirk, wondering how the students would counter this new threat. HE also wondered if they would be able to pass the final test. Well, time would tell after all.

 

[Uchiha Sadao]

There was a sweet, sweet satisfaction to the feeling of connecting blows against Yuu's clones. Like he had been waiting for something like this for all his days. Though, that was totally figurative. After all, he was only twelve. Something like this never really crossed him. Never the less, though, he was certainly happy with it. His eyes widened upon clearance of the first test. Sadao retreated immediately after clearing the task, thanks to the clones he was being assisted by. His black eyes watchful as ever, locked onto the instructor. Refusing to miss a beat. Lips curled down into a frown and his hands held up. The tanto he wield placed onto his hip. Left hand raised by his face, thumb curled against palm where his fingers were together and out. His right fist behind his back.

"Alright, so...just gotta clip this clone." The Uchiha grunted. "Tch. Easy." His thought may have seemed cocky, however he fully acknowledged the aid he received from Ryuuichi and the Twins.

Without much more to say, the Uchiha was well on his way. Not exactly thinking much of how to approach this foe without an extremely intricate plan. Shown as he darted forward. This new clone was something. It showed the amount of power it really took to become a Jounin. It weaved hand seals like nothing! If he wasn't in a battle situation, Sadao would've been taking notes. For every successful combination, a serious Fireball had slung forward and into the students. Intense..

He had been dodging fairly decently. Only being singed a tad on the clothes he wore. It was a little frustrating though. As he gained ground, his skin was being warmed. Sweat beading his brow and his attempts at straights proving fruitless and instead making him feel more and more worn. All he needed was one good punch aimed for the temple and he'd had gone for a quick slice for the throat tanto..!

The clone just went up into flames and they were specifically told only to do taijutsu this time around. It looks like the twins pulled out their secret weapon a little too early. Melee attacks may prove dangerous considering the clone was literally on fire. They would need to switch to range attacks, which were not exactly there forte. However would wooden projectile even hit him in this state? This just seems unfair from all angels. Regardless Len grabs some wooden sebon from the crate and his eyes glow a dark violet, “Target Locked.” Tracking the clone’s movements with his special eyes he throws the projectiles at the clone.

There wasn't much he could do since this was Taijutsu only this time. He didn't have anything besides his sword and with that incinerating armor, his hand to hand forte wouldn't work out very well so it was time to rely upon the wooden weapon he had. Ryuuichi then proceeded to gracefully avoid the fireball and charge his opponent, his clones following him. Two of his clones charged in first before disappearing, as the Jutsu was canceled. Using this as a distraction, Ryuuichi came in from behind and swung his wooden weapon diagonally downwards to strike his shoulder. If it were a real blade though, he would attempt to swing the sword shoulder towards the waist to cleave him into two.
