"AAAaaaaahh, but Keiji-san! The spot is perfect!", a frown wriggled on his face as he responded with an annoyed growl as he scratched the small stubble of hair that had been growing on the sides of his cheeks. "No, we're not pissing off a balcony.. You're so indecent sometimes.." A wide smile encroached on the younger man, his smooth skin almost reflecting the moon light. Lightly tapping Keiji's back as he replied loudly: "Some girls like the bad-boy rebellious attitude, you should try it sometimes!" His eyes stared at him furiously in response. "For me, that phase is long passed.." "Hee hee" he only responded with before taking a swig of a small jug he held in hand as they continued walking down the wide street. At Keiji's side a medium-sized puppy looking dog clad in dark and light brown fur with a small dot of white at the top of it's head. Feminine eyes staring around as her tongue stuck out tasting the air.

The gates were far ahead of them, each side had stores all closed off due to the late hours, some few buildings were brightly lit and had banners out front reading "BAR" or "TAVERN" underneath small notes indicating whether they had open rooms for renting. Having such an establishment close to the gates were perhaps a perfect business plan for some, but risky for others as they usually had the weirdest of types taking refuge or board as quickly as possible. The snow had gone for the season, although it tended to be a short season it was always enjoyed to it's fullest. The air was moist and rain was almost always on approach from some direction, the nearby mountains and seawater made sure of that.

The dark brick road extended further ahead of them all the way to the main gates, but on the side a small green tavern, it seemed like a lively place, Keiji hadn't been out properly drinking, ever, Kazuha though, being the rowdy and more playful of the team had been out drinking almost regularly, tricking gamblers and other patrons with his dirty tricks. Most of it had gone unnoticed, mostly only Keiji knew of his nature due to his close team. Kushin had selected him to support Keiji, presumably due to this nature being a good compliment to Keiji's serious attitude when on the job.

As they approached the entrance a whistle of the wind blew from above, Kazuka instantly looked up to spot whatever it was, whilst Keiji continued on his in his own thoughts until his shoulder was grabbed by Kazuka "Wait.." Looking at Kazuka right in front of the door, the light from the entrance illuminating the childish face, but with a serious glare as he looked up at the roof. "Hm? What is it?", "I'm not sure, someone just flew past us, running.." he said looking more intently towards the darkness above them. "Are you serious?", "Yeah, of course I'm serious I-" "Well, you never know with you, heh", "Ha, ha, thanks for the vote of confidence.." he replied sarcastically. The dog had stopped abruptly as Keiji's shoulder had been touched by Kazuka and followed the conversation with her ears twitching.

"Well, let's check out then.." Keiji said in a sigh as he stepped next to the entrance heading further towards the gate, his eyes quickly getting accustomed to the darkness. The dog following quickly, leaning closely to his feet. "Gonna use your eyes?" he added as he followed Keiji along, still shifting his eyes up at the roofs of the buildings around them. "Naturally, what better way to spot a chakra user in the dim of night?" "Agreed.." Kazuka added.

Concentrating Chakra around his eyes he activated the Byakugan, quickly scanning his surroundings, not seeing anything out of the usual except for the patrons in the bars, citizens sitting at home, the blue hues of people lighting like mob with torches in the night. Suddenly he spotted movement, a blue figure clad in clothing emanating chakra lighting up like a Christmas tree on the top of a house. "I see him, he's on top of that house!" He whispered to Kazuka he pointed at a house standing a few meters from the walls. "Is he trying to leave?" he whispered in response with an eerie sensation in his voice. "He seems to be preparing something, probably some gear.." A few seconds of silence, "Climbing Gear!" Kazuka almost said loudly as he quickly started a silent run. "Giving chase, channel 436!" he said as he began running swiftly and clicked a small button in the headset in his ear.

"Right!" Keiji quickly responded with as he clicked the same button in his own headset. And then started to run after Kazuka, to save energy, he deactivated his Byakugan again, the dog coming in beside Keiji. "Be careful Hitomi.." He said almost whispering as he shifted his eyes at the dog running beside him. The dog gave eye contact back and nodded in response. Jumping up on the closest building, then climbing up the walls of the house like a running gecko he reached the roof within seconds, and then ran further. Keiji and the dog ran beside the building running towards the same target. As his eyes kept staring at the target he noticed that the target had started moving and seem to prepare to throw something upwards at the gates, or at Kazuka. clicking his headset he quickly commented to Kazuka: "I think he's about to crawl up!", "Understood!" he responded quietly. The body in the distance threw the object and quickly began running up the wall using a rope he had apparently thrown as balance. The incredible high walls seeming almost like an impossible climb for anyone not Shinobi he quickly almost leaped over the wall with the help of the rope. Within seconds after Kazuka had reached the rope and followed suit. Keiji climbed up the same building, as he hanged with one hand he turned his head to his dog and said tiredly to her: "Sorry Hitomi, you'll have to find another route!" The dog nodded in response and ran towards the wall and then further down the side of it. Meanwhile Keiji crawled up the building, using the window sills and loose bricks to hold himself up, quickly reaching the rope he followed soon after Kazuka having almost reached the top of the wall.

Bzzt! the sound from the headset buzzed in his ear after which Kazuha spoke to Keiji still crawling up. "He used a rope to drop down on the other side as well.. I'm following." Holding himself with one hand he quickly clicked the button and responded. "Understood, I'm right behind you.." The seriousness of the situation had escalated quickly as the man had appeared to make a quick escape, and without knowing any of the details the two Med-nin continued on their self-assumed mission.

Roping down on the other side he heard light running ahead and beside him, with his eyes he spotted two shades of blue heading away from him, while beside he saw Hitomi running partly in their direction and towards him. Keiji began running towards Kazuha making quick chase. A bell started ringing behind him far above at the top of wall, presumably guards had spotted the ropes, three large search lights suddenly activated from the top of the wall and began scanning the field out front. "Hitomi, I need speed!" He shouted at her, after which her form turned purple in hues and quickly vanished. "This better be worth it.." the voice emanated from within his voice as he felt his muscles strengthen and his bodily control enhancing, his running speed increasing, almost doubling. And while he ran he took off his headset and set it to a different channel, then putting it back on his head he activated it. "This is Suzaku Keiji of the Medical Branch, Harvester Division, Kazuka and myself has given chase to a wall-jumper outside of the South Gates, please advice." There were no response.

He continued running for several minutes, the lights still scanning around, not having spotted anything yet. In the distance Keiji saw a silhouette and quickly saw him as being Kazuka standing still huffing and puffing, seeming like he had difficulty breathing, and as Keiji passed him quickly he shouted. "GET HIM!" Waving in response, Keiji was getting closer to his target, turning his head quickly he spotted Kazuka giving chase again but at a slower pace.

After a few seconds Keiji came close enough to the target to being finally able to properly see the person, he was thin, elegant, dressed in black tight clothes almost resembling an ANBU.
Then jumping up Keiji gave a quick roundhouse kick at the sides of the runner bashing the him aside into the ground, a loud moan of pain was heard. Now lying on the ground beside him, he held his foot at the shoulder and pushed him aside seeing an ANBU mask resting on the face. Then leaning down Keiji pulled the mask off the face seeing a lean, silk smooth skinned woman with Dark brown hair tied in a knot behind her head, groaning in pain as she looked straight into his eyes, she cursed as she grinned her teeth together, and looked away into the distance where Kazuka was fast approaching. "Blasted.." "Attempting to leave the village without approval.. That's a prison sentence of at least half a year or more I believe.." He commented as he looked down at her while being pinned by his foot squeezing down on her shoulder.
"SCREW YOU! I'll fuckin' kill you!" She screamed as she reached down in her belt pouch pulling up a Kunai and with a flick of her wrist launching it at Keiji's face cutting his chin lightly, prompting him to release her from his foot. Within a split second she stood up, holding one hand on her waist and the other grasping a second Kunai, while still grinding her teeth from the pain in her side.

"I ain't goin' back to that prison!" "Harsh words from a cute girl.." He said, wiping his chin with his thumb wiping away a blood drop that had gathering from the cut. They shared eye contact hers strained, angry and frustrated, his cool, relaxed and collected. Her eyes shifted for a second to where a rustle of steps could be heard as Keiji suspected was where Kazuha was approaching the scene. Using the diversion to his advantage he quickly dashed towards her, right hand outstretched, lightning flickering at the tips of the index and middle finger as they extend outwards together pointing at her chest.

His target was the nerve center of the mind, giving her a light pulse meant to stun her, her eyes flickered in the light as his fingers approached, in a split second, just as Keiji's fingers touched the edge of her clothes striking at her solar plexus she managed to strike the hand with hers forcing him to redirect the blow, hitting the other side of her waist instead, the quick change in direction the lightning had been targeting sent a bolt of lightning through her body and striking the tip of her right shoulder making the arm holding the kunai convulse and retract dropping her weapon and as Keiji's body hit hers with his shoulder she was sent back several feet, falling on her knees, her breath was gone and she seemed to have difficulty keeping her balance. Keiji stood up straight again.
He wet his lips as he stared at her, realizing then that she wasn't very old, she wasn't more than sixteen years old, and apparently already an ANBU.. His eyes stayed cool and his voice harsh and commanding "You're coming with me, whether you like it or not.." She coughed in mid sentence in her retort "To hell with .. With you!"

He waited another few seconds as she caught her breath, he glanced to the side examining the dark corners of the area they were fighting, Where is Kazuha? he wondered as he saw the lights from the walls in the distance lighting up the forested area. He hadn't seen him approach, no word or anything. Suddenly an explosion came from in front of him, a blast of smoke encroached on the ground from where she was and he couldn't see the girl. Quickly taking a defensive stance he activated his Byakugan, quickly spotting her attempting to make a run for it in between a few bushes.

As he took chase he clicked the small button in his headset again. "Kazuha, she's attempting to make a run for it again, I have her in my sights." with a split second a response came through "She?! Damn.." A slight grin appeared on Keiji's lips Damn horn dog.. he thought to himself as he darted towards her.

Jumping across the bushes she was trying to run through, he quickly caught up to her. Making another jump he landed on her back as he held ninja wires in both his hands, reaching over her chest, and quickly stretching, forcing her arms against her sides and forcing his weight onto her making her fall face first into the ground with a loud groan. "Urgh!" Grabbing the other wire he quickly tied her hands and legs together forcing her legs and hands together. "You're not going anywhere.." he silently whispered in her ears as he leaned down to her head after he was done.

After he was done tightening the knots he grabbed her placed her on his shoulder and he began walking towards the silhouette of Kazuha that he could see through his still active Byakugan.
"Oyy!" he shouted, raising his one free arm. "Awesome! let's head on back then.."

While they were running the girl was shouting and fighting her restraints without results, after a few minutes Keiji placed a ball of cloth in her mouth and tied it in place making her sounds become muffled discernible. They ran all the way to the gates, now open slightly, Hitomi had returned to her former shape following along.. The guards standing outside spotted them and shouted "Halt, identify yourselves!" Both Keiji and Kazuha held out their passports at him as they each shouted their name and rank. The dog barked once right after, the man looked down and, his eyes almost gleaming "Oh it's you! So that's your owner, huh?" the guard pointed at Keiji and the dog barked again happily with a tongue sticking out. "Right, then, in you go, bring the fugitive to the Guard's Quarters, we'll have them brought in to questioning."
As the grouped walked in Keiji told him of her mask and warned them that she might attempt again if she got the opportunity, so they should be careful. The Guardsmen followed his warnings and took her away.

As they walked back into the village still hard for breath Kazuha pointed at the same bar they were approaching before the chase had begun, Keiji nodded in response, and they both made their way inside to grab a pint of alcohol.

[PM if you wanna drink with Keiji]

Too long had the young man been wandering around out there in the cold. As he'd descended down the other side of the mountain, the snow had surely gotten less and less. Still, it didn't stop the weather from being any less cold than it was. The young man was freezing to the bone, and no amount of moving around was going to warm him up. Ginjiro needed a fire, and fast. His uncovered feet were beginning to feel very cold. As he climbed down the rocky paths, he could see the lights of the village nearing him. This was the place he had sought: The Village Hidden in the Clouds. It was here that he meant to unravel the secrets that had been mysteriously outside of his grasp. He was hopeful that he would be able to find the knowledge that he needed here. However, before he could find knowledge, he needed to find shelter. Maybe a nice restaurant would do? As he neared the village's gates, he noticed that there were a few places that were accessible to the public, without having to enter through the village's procedures at the gates. This was wonderful, as the young man didn't want to have to wait through that lengthy process only to freeze to death before he could find refuge. Trudging down the street, the young man looked to see if there were any restaurants, or even a tea shop, that was still open at this time. Sadly, it seemed like the young man had missed closing time for most of these establishments. They all seemed closed for the night. At least, all the respectable locations.

It seemed that the only kind of store that was open this late was a bar. The young man wasn't much of a drinker, even though most places would let him drink by now. The Ayatsuri was hesitant, but he knew he needed to find a place that was warm before continuing into the village. Sighing to himself, the young man brought himself over to the front doors of the place. "I hope this isn't a mistake..." With one last breath, the young man opened up the door and could feel the heat of the bar licking at his skin. Closing the door behind himself as fast as he could, Ginjiro relished briefly in that tickling sensation where your skin begins to heat up after being cold for so long. It was a wonderful feeling, and with it all notions of doubt that he'd had were washed away. This felt nice. Walking over to the bar, the young man seated himself down a seat or two over from two young men who looked to be about the same age as himself. Couldn't have been that big of a difference either way. Motioning to the barkeeper, the young man knew the only kind of drink he'd ever order. Didn't even have to think about it. "Do you sell Firewater here? The stuff they make back in Konoha?" His village might be gone, but that didn't mean they stopped making their most famous alcoholic beverage. Sipping that stuff filled the young man with a fire that reminded him of his now destroyed home. It'd been forever since he'd had some. While it was true that he didn't usually drink, he'd make an exception if Firewater was to be had.

The bartender seemed to nod, though he mentioned he'd have to look around in the back for it. Apparently people didn't usually order Firewater out here. It was a shame that these people didn't get to enjoy Konoha's best drink ever made, but on the other hand the young man would have more to himself. As he waited for his drink, the Ayatsuri looked around to see who was there. The only ones who seemed close enough to his age were the pair sitting next to him. Turning to face them, the young man thought he might try to initiate a conversation with them. "So, how long have you guys been in town? Any sights that are worth seeing?" If they took a good look at him, the first thing they'd notice was the metallic right arm the Ayatsuri sported. Other than that, his clothes seemed to indicate he had come from a much warmer climate—shorts, a thin shirt, sandals, and a complete lack of any form of warm clothes at all were what the young man wore. Furthermore, dangling from the strand of a belt pouch worn around the young man's waist was a shinobi's forehead protector. It bore the symbol of the Hidden Leaf Village. The young Ayatsuri certainly looked out of place, but it would be up to the pair sitting at the bar to bring up the subject for any other information to be gleaned about the young man.

The bar was near silent, there were only a select few other patrons than himself and Kazuha, they all seemed quiet and dull as they nursed their drinks in silence.
The only noise was Kazuha and Keiji themselves in the middle of a heated debate, this one rather obscure as it entailed whom Inaku, their Team Ecto teammate was more inclined to ever date, Keiji was sure Mazuhara, the more collected and calm of the 4 is the more likely, while Kazuha debated that it sure to be himself due to his lean body and quick reflexes. Keiji didn't admit he wouldn't have been excited to find out who she really was curious about was Keiji, unknowing about the truth they kept debating as a voice behind them seemed to echo in the distance.

Ignoring the voice Keiji continued "But Mazuhara is sure the more dangerous of us all, y'never expect-"<i></i> His voice was cut short as the small dog sitting by his feet barked and his head and body turned to look at the direction the dog barked, as he turned his face his eyes met with Ayatsuri, within a second he realized that the owner of the previously ignore voice belonged to him, and that he had tried to get his attention.. "He asked how long you have been in town, and if there are any sights to see" The voice of the Demon hound lying at his feet echoed in his mind as Keiji's lips opened up for talking.

"How long?"<i></i> Keiji seemed slightly weirded out by the question as he turned his gaze for a second at Kazuha, and then as he turned again, they both looked at Ginjiro smiling brightly with their yellow glistening pints in hand.
"We're Kumo-nin, both of us."<i></i> Keiji pointed at himself and his companion, "I see you're from Konoha, sad fate that was.."<i></i> He pointed at the headband and then at the last words he spoke as he eyed Kazuha again and they both nodded in agreement over the sentiment.
"I've only heard rumors myself though, no confirmed reports.."<i></i> His voiced seemed to take away in depressive thoughts.

As the bartender approached with the young man's drink, Keiji eyed it for a minute, then turned to the stranger again.
"My name is Keiji"<i></i> he pointed at himself. "His name is Kazuha"<i></i> He then pointed at his brightly smiled drinking buddy. "And she's Hitomi"<i></i> He lastly pointed at the dark brown furred medium sized dog lying by his feat with ears poking up into the sky listening in closely. Intelligent eyes opening as they stared at Ginjiro in silence.
"Skál<i></i> (cheers), fellow Shinobi, as we meet in peace over a cold brew!"<i></i> He and Kazuha held out their drinks towards Ginjiro expecting to hear a delightful clink from their glasses striking each other, signifying mutual respect and curtsy towards one another regardless of the circumstance.

It seemed as if Ginjiro had been interrupting these two in what seemed to be a deep conversation. Ginjiro had been too tired, just walking in, to notice that they were in the middle of something. He silently cursed himself for his rudeness, but overall didn't try to make a big deal over it. When the two heard what he had said, they seemed a little confused by it at first. When they revealed themselves to be ninjas of Kumogakure, Ginjiro was wondering whether he should ever try to speak to people when he was tired again. So far, he'd been making himself out to be a bit of an idiot. Trying to shake his mind off of his own inadequacies, the young man listened a bit more to what the two were saying. Motioning to the Ayatsuri's headband, the two made remarks as to the fate of Ginjiro's old home. They acknowledged the sad fate his village had, and made mention that they hadn't ever known whether the rumors were true—there was only talk floating about. Nodding his head, the brown haired man responded. "Yeah, the rumors are true. We shinobi were driven out a couple years ago, leaving most of us homeless. Consider myself your first 'confirmed report' as to the fate of my village." As the barkeeper brought Ginjiro his Firewater, the young man eyed it happily. Picking up the glass, the young man allowed some of the sour liquid to drench his lips. Taking a mouthful in, the young man swallowed quickly as the burning sensation reached down the back of his throat. It was a powerful taste, but not altogether bad. It felt nostalgic, and it made him think a bit of home. Those thoughts warmed him up a little inside, driving away the cold from his body. Or maybe that was the alcohol doing its magic?

As the two of them introduced themselves, Ginjiro made a note to remember their names. Keiji and Kazuha, huh? The dog, as well, that seemed to be their companion was introduced. Hitomi was its name. Ginjiro wouldn't move to pet her, as he'd just had a rather horrid experience with a dog recently. He didn't hold it against this dog, as it wasn't the creature that had wronged him, but he still kept himself from petting the thing. Instead he merely looked at it before bringing his eyes back up to the people he was talking with. As he did, the two of them raised their glasses in a toast. Smiling a bit, the Ayatsuri grabbed his glass and clinked his drink against their's with a happy chuckle. Down went another burning mouthful. When he had swallowed, the young man filled his lungs with some air before continuing their conversation. "So, Keiji and Kazuha, what is it like here in your village? I was hoping to enter in through those gates once I'd gotten warmed up a bit. Came to see if your village contained some knowledge I've been seeking. You guys know any good doctors who'd be willing to share a few trade secrets?"

The expected clinks came and went as Keiji and Kazuha's lips were wetted with the sweet taste of the ginger beer. As all three of them seemed to be lost of breath when the glasses were lowered they all breathed heavily in unison.
He seems alright Keiji thought to himself as he set his drink upon the bar table at his side and listening to the man speaking at them again.

He asked how it was to live in the village, still smiling with a smirk, he stayed silent until the stranger whom had yet to say his name finished his sentence. "It's a little troublesome, while, depending on who you're with can be the funnest, and most amazing place you could imagine being at. I've traveled across most of Lightning Country, and Kumogakure remains the more intriguing location. It's also filled awesome opportunities and interesting people, but I'm assuming most Shinobi villages spread around out there is like that with their own unique Shinobi.." He grabbed and took another sip from his glass as Kazuha continued from where Keiji left off. "The gates should be alright for you to enter, there might be a few problems with the whole Leaf being gone, 'n' all though.." *Ptaah!* Keiji catched his breath after a hearty gulp of his drink. "Yeah you should be golden after a quick checkup.." He said as he wiped his mouth with his white sleeve, and then continuing. "You happen to be talking with two Medical Shinobi by the way.." He said as he pointed at Kazuha and himself. "One of the best!" Kazuha spoke right after as reached forward to have his hand in front of Keiji and then pointing with his index finger at Keiji's face as he raised his eyebrows, in seriousness. "This guy is the freaking student of one of the greatest! Isaki Kushin, if you've heard of the legends?"

Keiji stood in silence for a second, "Right.. What is it you're looking for anyway? Perhaps we can point you in the right direction.." Keiji said mellowly trying to avoid putting too much attention to Kazuha's words of recognition of his history.

The three of them seemed to be getting along swimmingly. Just three young men enjoying their alcohol together. Ginjiro was enjoying himself a bit, just resting after his treacherous hike up the mountain. The atmosphere with the three of them was certainly better than just drinking alone. As the one named Keiji described his experience travelling around the Land of Lightning, Ginjiro listened with interest. These two were a fun pair, and he was genuinely enjoying their company. He spoke of the people of the village, the opportunities that existed, and many more things. They gave some advice about getting through the gates, which the young man greatly appreciated. "I'll keep that in mind. Hopefully they don't fault me too badly for it." As they continued to converse, though, an interesting tid-bit of information let itself be known. These two guys in front of him were Medical Shinobi? This must have been fate, the young Ayatsuri thought to himself. And what's more, apparently the one named Keiji was an apprentice to some big shot medical shinobi. How about that? His face betrayed the pleasant surprise that Ginjiro was feeling, and he seemed to marvel a little bit at this revelation. Putting his drink down without taking his eyes off of the two, Ginjiro extended his hand out to both of them, one at a time.

"Medical shinobi, huh? I realized I didn't properly introduce myself. The name is Ayatsuri Ginjiro, pleased to make your acquaintance." The arm he extended to each of them was his metallic one. The two would maybe be a little taken back by it's still slightly chilly material, but the handshake would feel as real and genuine as any other they'd ever had. Pulling himself together, the young man took another sip from his Firewater as he prepared himself. "What am I looking for? Well, I came here to learn about an interesting little piece of Ninjutsu. I've just arrived from Iwagakure, and they didn't have anything useful on the subject. I imagine you guys are better than them though, huh?" Looking to his left and right, Ginjiro made sure no one else was listening in on them. Leaning in slightly, the young man addressed the two quite a bit more seriously. "Either of you heard of the Art of Hitokugutsu—the secret technique by which a person turns themselves into a living puppet?" The Ayatsuri stared them both down for a moment. He wanted to see their reactions. Based on how they reacted, he may or may not have gotten himself in deep trouble. "I came to Kumogakure because I'd heard your people were open with this kind of knowledge. Is this true?" The ball was in their court. What would these two men do?

Introducing himself finally they each extended their hands to grab his, both eyeing cautiously the metallic hand. While Kazuha looked at it the hand as he felt a litttle uncomfortable as he was unable to discern the origin of it being a part of him. Keiji's eyes were more of an intriguing nature, in his mind he was recalling the books and research papers he had read that might involve the nature of the hand in one way or the other. He felt a prickling sensation in the back of his neck, like a dark and sinister approach to the sciences of the human anatomy that has long been imprinted into his mind thanks to his sensei. He felt a desire to pick his arm apart and pull it off from the shoulder to see how deeply the transformation and changed his arm and how the nerves were kept intact from the change, metallic skin maybe? Was the metals in the body transformed to place itself above the skin? What exactly was the procedure that enabled this exact change. He figured that it might have involved the deep nature of the Living Puppet enigma that many researchers were dazzled by, the whole structure of a person's life's energy switched, and the literal removal of bodily functions and need for other energy than chakra. For a second he doubted his hypothesis, but the moment he touched his hands with Ginjiro's a cheeky grin grew on his lips as he was sure that at least some of his theory was correct.

When the grip was released and they all three looked at each other in a newfound respect as now all parties knew each other's names. Ginjiro answered Keiji's previous query, even though Keiji had his theory he stayed his silence as Ginjiro explained. Ears perked up, and eyes widened slightly as the words 'interesting little piece of Ninjutsu' was spoken, like two ravens noticing the movement of something on the ground peeking their interest. Iwagakure, huh, perhaps they aren't as advanced as we are.. he silently pondered as Ginjiro continued on to try to smooth talk to him and Kazuha, presumably for his own nefarious desires and needs. As he stated comforting words on how Kumo was better of than Iwa, they both nodded in unison with a slight smile without realizing it.

They both replicated Ginjiro's movements as he checked the corners of the tavern, the only ones there just sat in near-silence, maybe mutter something or other over their drinks. One could only assume what mad ranting these patrons were saying, not to mention what horrors they had witnessed, Keiji knew one person who'd just love the challenge of picking their minds a part with only words. A familiar image resonated in his mind of one of his good friends and fellow Medical Shinobi.
Then as Ginjiro leaned in, so did he and Kazuha, curious for what knowledge he might share. As his first and second question was asked Kazuha shook his head, while Keiji was unmoving, his eyes simply locked ahead at Ginjiro's, whether he was looking back at him or not. He stayed silent as Ginjiro advanced with his secretive chatting. The last question was met with silence from both of them, and if Ginjiro eyed down to the dog sitting at Keiji's feat it's eyes stirred again, staring at Ginjiro just as her owner did.

Kazuha looked to his side at Keiji in silence, their eyes met, it was as if a heated debate occured within that second as Kazuha appeared suddenly terrified, going from happy, fun loving, to serious, and then terrified within a minute, and at the last second it seemed multiple emotions just made his whole body collapse in a deep sigh, he took a step back and walk a few meters away and settled himself there with his drink in hand, looking back at Keiji who had turned back to facing Ginjiro after eyeing Kazuha.

The mood had shifted entirely, now there was silence between them, without realizing it Ginjiro had just taken a step in a direction that was highly frowned upon and was one of the most secretive subjects this village was keeping. And Keiji was one of the few keepers of this knowledge, Kazuha knew this, more than most, him and his team only knew the utmost necessities, for good reason the trust of knowing about the surgical methods and bodily implications this medical field held was both terrifying and awesome.

And Ginjiro was a foreigner, regardless of how the situation looked, spilling any information about their Kinjutsu research was near high treason, and who was the keeper of this information? Himself. He could use this for his own benefit, perhaps Ginjiro had something he could offer? Knowledge? Tests? Secrets he could spill? Keiji didn't know, he had no knowledge of what he could potentially gain out of spilling any such knowledge to anyone not inside of the ranks of Kumo-nin. So made the call right then and there.

"I know exactly what it is that you're looking for. And I'm sorry to have to disappoint you, but unfortunately I cannot speak to you about it, not without repercussions of the highest magnitude.." His white, blank, serious eyes looked to the side in a pondering fashion, he leaned back a little and placed his hand underneath his chin pondering further, he wasn't sure how to confront Ginjiro about it, and how he might be able to help this man, he seemed bright and kind enough, but he wasn't about to betray the village just like that. After a few seconds He looked up again, lowering his arm and rested it by the other holding his hands together tightly in almost praying fashion on his legs.
"But if you're serious about knowing about this, you're on the right track.. I would urge you to request access to this knowledge from the Raikage, Hayata Shin, personally.. Seek an audience, and if he permits it, we'll set up a meeting, and I'll happily tell you all that you want to know about." He leaned forward and placed his feet on the floor, then grabbing his drink he eyed his friend and at the same time they both bottomed up their drinks, and as Kazuha stood up, Keiji turned to Ginjiro again. "That's all I can say and do for you about it. Now, if you'll excuse me I need to get home, we had quite the run tonight, heh" He said as he motioned over to Kazuha to follow along.
"I hope to see you within the next few days, good luck." He said to Ginjiro as he extended his hand with a warm smile.

Regardless if Ginjiro extended the curtsy Keiji and Kazuha with the dog following along in silence would head on out of the tavern and begin the trek home to sleep in.

He felt uncomfortable not giving Ginjiro what he wanted, but he felt it was the only right thing to do in the circumstance. Keiji wouldn't have minded putting forth a deal where he would get the oppertunity of dissecting his arm, perhaps keeping it as a souvenir. Granted that would presumably be something his Sensei would have committed to, but Keiji's morals rested perhaps a little higher. He kept his desires just a tad bit to the side bitterly.

Tonight he might not be able to catch much rest as the thought and the imagination of finding out more about the specific circumstances that made that arm possible, scientifically, made his mind twirl and spin like a carousel, wanting to take it apart, dissecting it and writing a report on the findings for the vault, to forever rest in the most secret archive in the history of Kumogakure.

This response was to be expected. The instant the young man spoke his query, the two men here gave each other a rather quick—yet quite obviously worried—look. The one named Kazuha, though looked absolutely terrified. Picking up his drink, the man left without a word and sat himself down at the other end of the bar. A frown beginning to form on his face, Ginjiro's eyes flashed between the two men, the one far and the one up close. Where things not quite what they seemed? Ginjiro didn't have to be a shinobi to sense that the atmosphere was greatly changed, from a jovial and joking one to a very serious and gloomy one. The Ayatsuri supposed he shouldn't have been surprised, but still. Wasn't this the land where knowledge was allowed to be shared? Or was that another lie, as well? It seemed Ginjiro's line of work was beginning to dabble more and more in lies these days. Squinting his eyes down at Keiji, the Ayatsuri listened to him speak about how he did, in fact, have the knowledge that the young man was looking for. That's great! Except, you know, for the catch. There's always a catch. He wasn't being given the information, even though it was so close to being within his grasp. The knowledge was literally standing right in front of him. Grinding his teetch a little bit, the young man was clearly frustrated with the situation. "Well then." Keiji continued, however. Keiji gave the Ayatsuri some advice, telling him to seek an audience with the Raikage about the issue. Well, no problem then! He'd just walk up to the most powerful shinobi in the village, ask him very nicely if he'd give up some of his village's apparently "open" knowledge, and then he'd just be on his merry way. God, this was not what Ginjiro had come here hoping for. Still, the young man could appreciate the things this man was telling him. Many other folk would have probably told him to just leave then, or maybe even pick a fight with him. This guy was giving him advice, and wishing him luck. How about that? "Thanks, I'll do that."

As the two men got up, Keiji extended a hand out to the Ayatsuri once again. The young man still felt a little jaded about the whole thing, but he managed a bit of a forced smile as he shook the guy's hand. "I'll definitely see you, Keiji." As the two walked out, Ginjiro watched them leave. As he did, that dog caught his eye. There was a sort of intelligence there. Something about it caught Ginjiro off guard, and it made him try to think where he'd seen a look like that before. He couldn't remember, but it still played over in his head after they'd left. Turning back to the bar, Ginjiro was still frowning rather intensely. What the heck was going on with this village? Contemplating the exchange that had just been made, the young man swirled the last remains of his Firewater a little bit before he downed the rest of it. Placing the glass down on the table, the young man wondered if things were going to go well or not here. He needed to get into this village, by whatever means. This was going to be tough—he wasn't looking forward to walking back out towards those gates. Still, it had to be done. If he sat here all night, he wouldn't go anywhere. Pushing his seat back and standing up, Ginjiro fished out enough yen for the alcohol. Leaving it on the table, Ginjiro gave the bartender a nod of thanks. Walking back out into the night, the Ayatsuri left to conquer these gates.
