Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[col]Roku seemed hesitant to abide by the strict terms that Reiko had offered him but when it became clear to him that Akkuma was planning on fleeing the scene with one of those present that seemingly had caused the entire altercation to begin with, the sennin's attention was distracted away from Reiko and that was good enough for him. They weren't allies in this per say-- more like they had equally decided that each other were lower on the priority list than Akkuma and Azusa for different reasons. Roku wanted to apprehend those responsible for the battle which had now spilled over unto the streets and already consumed one building in flames and Reiko simply wanted to take Azusa away from Akkuma. She represented the single first clue he'd ever had towards finding out anything about the curse that drove the Hunger inside him and he refused to allow that to slip through his fingers.

Akkuma made a comment to Reiko about this being the second of two times they'd encountered each other and indeed Reiko remembered Akkuma from a battle he'd had in the Obsidian Palace but only just. Consumed as he had been by the Hunger he barely remembered the circumstances that had surrounded that battle and as such had little to no functional memory of Akkuma. Still. As Akkuma turned to flee the scene, Reiko reached up to his mask and ran his gloved fingertips over it's smooth surface for a moment before narrowing his eyes and allowing the Hunger once more to crawl it's way through the crevices of his mind.

The familiar feeling of the Hunger's burning curse filled his mind's eye and flooded the corners of his vision but this time Reiko guided it rather than attempting to suppress it. He pointed it towards Akkuma and the Hunger was all too ready to comply. With Akkuma still in sight of him, Reiko projected the shadow of his mind forward and into Akkuma's heart with the intent to instill a great sense of dread and fear in him and hold him still-- or at least cause him to lose his grasp on Azusa [Reaper's Gaze (Master Rank)] long enough for him to close the distance between them and make up for the time he'd lost squaring off with Roku.

Masashi Reiko - The Red Prince
Note(s): Reiko's spiritual presence registers on the senses of the supernaturally sensitive as a starving and dangerous predator. By drinking the blood of Orochi, Reiko's body was physically and spiritually altered at a fundamental level. As a result he carries with him a physical and spiritual presence reminiscent of an ancient of the Wild Hunt despite their kind being extinct-- specifically he carries the "scent" of Orochi on him. To those who are sensitive to such matters or familiar with ancients or Orochi they would sense it almost immediately. For those who are unfamiliar with Orochi's personage, it registers upon the senses of the supernaturally aware as an aura of latent bloodlust that grows in intensity with physical proximity.[/legend][/col]

The masked Sage sighed as he was stopped turning to face the two shinobi. Both seemed intent on stopping him from leaving the scene with the young Kitsune. Even though he had what he wanted part of him wanted to keep her from him. He'd already seen what those in this village were capable of & even though she had committed these crimes she was not responsible. "You don't understand...I'm not your enemy." he would say with frustration apparent in his voice. Couldn't they see he was trying to help? Then everything happened so quickly Roku burst forward as he felt a foreign chakra flood his body. Those shadowy figures that moved to collect the girl instead moved to intercept Roku. The shinobi's blows would quickly disperse the shadowy figures. One of his corpses launched themselves at the Sage biting down on his shoulder breaking the bind while the others moved to intercept any approach Reiko might make towards the masked figure.

Cursing he would leap back quickly sprinting up a nearby building. Once he was a top the roof he would stop & turn back looking at them as he spoke to them one last time. "She's infected I don't know with what but find out & get yourselves vaccinated for treatment. I was simply trying to help..." he would say to the blonde haired shinobi who's attention he hoped would remain focused on the main assailant of what had transpired here today. Turning his gaze to Reiko he would speak to the crimson haired shinobi. "I don't know why you have such a bond with this kunoichi...but if you value her life you'll keep your eye on her." he'd seen how vicious the authorities could be here & suspected them of further crimes he'd yet to solidify.

With those words he would sprint across the rooftops in an attempt to exit the scene & leave the girl behind. Should either of the shinobi attempt to pursue him they would find his corpses moving to block their path or if need be attack the girl so they would have to return their attention to her rather then himself. After all he had what he needed two vials of the foxes blood. One for his cure & one for the ritual that would bond the two in a way she could never expect. He would have his revenge for bringing his child into this for that vile act he would ensure she paid. But for now he had to ensure he dealt with any possible infection. If only he'd chosen to stick to his labs today instead of venturing out, but if he'd done that he wouldn't have what he needed for his ritual so it had been worth it.

Episode 4.1: 'GFY Some More'| Side Story said:
[col]It would seem the girl would be freed from the shadowy clutches and the one who was trying to abduct her was now trying his own attempt at slinking off into the shadows. While every impulse told him to take the man and break him, he did help get the medic out of here. Hopefully that was a good thing.

"Yea... some good sumaritan... don't worry. I won't be forgetting a lot of what happened tonight."

With that he would turn away from the fleeing figure and turn his attention to the one who called himself Reiko.

"Now what about you? Are you going to continue to butt in... are you even a shinobi of this village? Is this girl related to you? Just what the hell are you even doing?"

With most of the craziness finally dying down, it seemed it was time to just do some chatting.

"As a representative of this village... I am taking this girl and we will help her and then get to the bottom of all this shit show... what do you say about that?"

While he had no belief that this night was going to end as pleasantly as that, he still had some high hopes that something positive would finally roll his way. This girl was dangerous and unlike the white haired guy trying to abduct her for nefarious reasons, the young kid trying to placate her by letting her run wild or the red haired guy trying to get her... for god knows what reason, he knew his purpose and intentions were good. She needed help and then she needed to experience repercussions for her actions.

[col]Like that, the chase was over and Akkuma had given up. He claimed she was infected with... something and then remarked to Reiko that he wasn't sure what sort of bond they shared but that he should keep an eye on her if he valued her life. Then he was gone. Looking down at the unconscious form of Azusa, Reiko pondered Akkuma's words. Like a dog chasing a stick that kept getting repeatedly thrown, he finally had what he wanted... but had no idea what to do with her. Akkuma claimed she was infected with something but presumably from his words he was implying that the feral state she'd been in was related in some way to her infection. Did that mean that he was infected with whatever she was? And if that were the case... did that mean he could spread that infection to others? The implications of that idea were staggering but Reiko kept himself from falling too deeply into them. He didn't know anything about Akkuma other than the fact that he'd oozed a sickly dark chakra from every pore on his body and that hardly made a good case for him being trustworthy. Looking down at his own hand, Reiko furrowed his brow in thought before Roku addressing him finally brought him out of the small reverie he'd been in.

The Hunger had wanted more than anything to chase Akkuma but in that moment it was clear enough that Akkuma was gone... but this other person. This golden-haired interloper. The Hunger had not forgotten the original context of the meeting between Reiko and Roku... Roku had issued a challenge to him. Over Akujin... over Azusa... over Akkuma... it didn't matter. What mattered was that Roku was a rival and the Hunger shook with barely restrained aggression while still chained behind the walls of Reiko's reason and logic.

Roku barraged Reiko with questions and at first the Red Prince said nothing. What could he say? Azusa wasn't anything to him. They weren't related. They hadn't even really met. They didn't know each other. There was just something chillingly familiar about the fury that dominated her thoughts that drew Reiko to her and in the process of coming here decided that he could not allow her to be taken by someone with an aura such as Akkuma's. And then there was the Hunger. How could Reiko even begin to explain it to someone who had no history with him? He'd just sound like a mad man.

"We're... acquaintances." Not technically true but also not entirely wrong. "That man... the one with the dark chakra aura.
We've met before. I couldn't let him take her.
"

Reiko wasn't sure what to make of Roku but at the very least he seemed like the best of his options if he was a representative of the village. Getting arrested wasn't super high on his list of priorities upon coming to Sunagakure but at this point it was either that or become an enemy of the state by throwing down with a village official and if he lost control again there was the potential he could hurt quite a lot of people. Placing his wrists together, Reiko presented them forward to Roku.

"As long as you take me in with her, I surrender."
