Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Shin headed to the Academy Proving Grounds to meet a person his sisters had hired to help him do some training. Shin wondered what his instructor he would be meeting would be like. As he tried to recall the name of the man."Ka.ma..no that not it ..." he mumbled to himself while walking to the arranged meeting area. "Ah it was Katsu" He said a bit lauder as he finally remembered the name.

Shin was a bit early for the training so he sat down and let the fox sitting in his large scarf jump down onto his lap. Hopefully today would go well he thought as he pet the young fox kit Kyibi.

Waking up this morning, Katsu yawned as he crawled down from his upstairs room in his parents' house and proceeded to go get himself some breakfast from the kitchen when he noticed a note laying at the front door with his name on it. Shrugging at the note, he picked it up and tore open the envelope to see that the woman who offered a sparring job against her brother wanted him to show up today and fight her brother. Smirking at the note, he put it in his pocket and proceeded to make himself a good ole egg sandwich with bacon in it. After consuming his sandwich however, he quickly did his minor chores around the house and headed off to meet this kid.

While walking, he began to think about this offer he had taken. He never met the girl before in his life nor had he knew her brother at all, but yet he needed money. Desperate times call for desperate measures, Katsu suppose. After a little while, he had gotten at the "Proving Grounds" as the students called it which was very near the Academy and he saw a figure sitting with a little fox with him. Katsu couldn't help but smirk as he approached the kid and began to talk: "So, you're the student whose sister wants me to spar to help him out. Interesting. Usually, I don't take these offers because I am busy with classes or stuff in the medical field so consider yourself lucky! The name is Katsu by the way, Hatsuharu Katsu. Yourself?"

Shin in turn greeted his tutor as he stood and bowed before him as to show his respect after all this man was taking the time to help Shin grow in the shinobi arts. "Hi Mr. Hatsuharu I am Amatsu Shin thank you very much for coming to help me." Shin said warmly "Oh I am sorry and the little guy with me is Kyibi he is my companion." He said as he motioned to the fox that hopped onto Shin's shoulder.

Shin stood there with a wonder as to what his training would be like with this man that stood before him. "Umm Mr. Hatsuharu may I ask what I will be doing today in the training..?" He asked with a bit of hesitation to his words.

Within an arm reach of the young man, he stopped and watched as the kid bowed his head as a sign of respect to the Jounin. The man then began to introduce himself and his little fox to Katsu by the names of Shin and Kyibi respectively. Katsu would've replied right after those words, but Shin continued to address him formally as he questioned what they would do in their training today with a bit of hesitation in his voice. Allowing his smirk to turn into a smile, he tilted his head and said: "Nice to meet you, Shin and your little fox. You are welcome, it is a pleasure for me even though I never get the time to do this much with my work haha. As for your training...well."

Looking at his scrolls on his back, he threw a large summoning scroll on the ground and opened it up. Then he summoned three puppets from him and looked at Shin. "You will be fighting me one on one with all you got. If you don't try your hardest, I will beat your ass within an inch of your life. Of course, I will make sure that you aren't killed by this spar. So...if I was you...I would start doing something since it is your move. You got five seconds starting now before I attack you..."

Equipping his three puppets to him via chakra strings, he watched Shin and awaited his move.

Shin watched as Katsu pulled the large summoning scroll from his back and layed it upon the ground. Within those few seconds Shin's mind raced endlessly with what would the scroll be used for and how screwed he was in this moment. From the scroll came three puppets that seemed to scream you are screwed at Shin.

As Shin was lost in thought and fear Katsu mentioned he had five seconds before he would start his attack. Shin had never seen or knew really anything about puppets and how they worked but now he surely would find out the hard way.

Shin quickly readied his sword to prepare for what was to come and began to use a one handed seal with his free hand. He knew he had to do something big or he was done for even before this even started.
Hoping he could finish the seal in time he was using the *Red Snow- Ice Ninjutsu* to attack the puppets and Katsu at the same moment.
The seal seemed like it was taking years as Shin worked as fast as he could but the fear of not making it in time made it feel endless.

[OOC WC: 198]

Watching the boy, a one-handed seal was formed at a very slow pace and snow began to fall from the sky. It didn't entirely make sense considering the forecast was not calling for any snow and the temperature itself was above freezing. Pondering this thought, Katsu allowed the snow to fall which picked up into a dustlike-storm around him and his puppets piercing his puppets with little to no harm to them considering they weren't human. However, due to the human skin that Katsu was in...the snow pierced his skin and blood started to seep from the cuts. Looking at the wounds, he smirked at Shin and said: "That wasn't smart to do..."

Closing his eyes, his puppets began to shift from their positions towards Shin. The one puppet took a few steps towards him and began to shoot a volley of various projectiles at him while another puppet released its canister allowing the puppet to shoot out a barrage of needles that are next to impossible to dodge. As a follow-up to the various projectiles being shot at the boy, the puppeteer's last puppet began to drop a series of bombs on the battlefield that would harm anyone that got caught in its radius including Katsu himself. But, the Hatsuharu man came prepared and shielded himself behind one of his puppets to protect himself from the harm that would've harmed him. While the bombs would be going off, Katsu's eyes would open up revealing a different change from his natural hazel eyes and showing a more sinister blood red eye with a bizarre black pattern on them. That change was the man's Mangekyou Sharingan that he would be using in this fight, only because his temper had been set off because of his blood being leaked because of the cheap snowflake jutsu that the kid had used. Anyways, the last act in his little showcase for the time being was to use his eye's powers to cause the mind of his opponent to to experience the rotting of their body, their skin and muscles seeming to peel away rapidly in an agonizing experience. It would hopefully make Shin feel strength rapidly begin to leave his body and any attempts to heal his body would seem to have no effect at curing this ailment.

Shin watched as his Jutsu started to take effect his efforts to get this off in time had worked but as the snow fell it cut at the puppets doing no damage it seemed only Katsu seemed to be effected. The razor like snow cut against the man's skin drawing blood but no real damage was done in the end. Shin realized that this was not a good thing like he had hoped to impress the man with an attack he had only succeeded in angering him a great deal.

Shin gulped as the man close his eyes with a smirk across his face as his puppets seemed to take life launching their attacks. The one puppet that stepped towards Shin launched large volleys of projectiles at Shin. As this was going on the other puppet was releasing a great barrage of needles and far more then Shin could hope to try and avoid.

Shin did his best as he managed to dodge a few of the projectiles only to be struck by the majority of them causing a large amount of pain as they struck his body piercing the skin. As he tried to get distance the third puppet had been releasing explosive canisters causing chaos around the field. A canister or so had caught Shin knocking him backwards a few yards leaving injury to his legs making his chance of outrunning Katsu or many things a hard thing to imagine. If things could not be worse for the young boy he felt a greater pain consuming him as he looked and watched as his body seemed to start to rot before him.

With even the great pain running through him he at least had a small amount of distance to work with he hoped. Shin gripped his sword tightly within his dominant right hand as to try and not focus on the pain and with his free left hand began to make seals as fast as possible for now he was not consumed so much by fear but the thought of having to survive this encounter.

With the seals made a great fog started to roll in covering the area in a darkness hiding Shin and most of the area from view in general. With the fog also came a freezing wind that was different than the one that had instigated things to this extreme causing a frost to start to form on the area.

With the pain spreading through Shin he fought to keep focused and hidden as he formed two final seals before the pain became more then he could take and would retreat to try and recover if he was able to even at this point.
With Shin doing his best to get more distance his last two Jutsu had taken shape as the moister from the mist and freezing winds gave form to a copy of Shin in hopes to play on the effect of poor visibility to buy time and hopes Katsu may go for the clone instead.

Today sucks is all that ran through the boys mind as he was starting to fall victim to his bleeding and the rotting of his body.

Watching with a grimacing smirk on his face, the weaponry used by the Medical shinobi had taken their effect and had started affecting the poor boy who was at this point probably wondering why he was thrown into this lion's den from his sister and at the same time wondering why his own flesh was rotting off. Poor child, poor Shin. But, it was quite surprising that the young kid was even able to stand up after being hit with all those weapons and considering he had been hit by bombs right at his legs. For the courage being displayed, Katsu was impressed; but, Shin needed to know when to lay down and quit because it only meant more pain and punishment would be inflicted on him. Katsu sighed, it was hard sometimes having to be the bad guy, but he had to do what he had to do.

Luckily, his prey was making it interesting to say the least. Given the short amount of time, the boy had concealed the Proving Grounds in a mist and had used some technique that was chilling Katsu and making his muscles begin to slow down. Very smart move to use when he was outmatched, but Katsu had some moves in his pocket for a scenario like this. Looking at two of his puppets, the one unleashed a gust of swirling air to try to get rid of the mist while the other unleashed a fire stream from its mouth which met up with the wind creating a fire wind storm that would cut at the flesh and burn it at the same time. To make matters better, or worse for Shin, the third puppet on the field released another needle shower on him that would probably pierce the skin of the boy if it hit through the mist. In all honesty, Katsu had no idea where Shin was nor if anything was created by the boy, but Shin couldn't have gotten far from where he was when he released the mist so it was a guess which would hopefully hit.

All Katsu knew was that he was going to sit back and watch the show play out and see Shin probably be bloodied and near death by the end of the moves. Too bad, it was time to get stronger, kiddo.
