Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Darkness enveloped the sands as night had fallen hours ago, the moon managing to give a pleasant silver sheen to the dunes as slow, heavy footfalls sunk into the sand, every step got closer to the walls surrounding the village. Her legs dragged slightly as she pushed on through the aches and exhaustion, having been walking for what felt like weeks since her last stop. Her body was barely more than a walking corpse as the atrophy from her trials had eaten away at her physical body for the past four years, whilst she was stuck, maintaining, fixing, and bolstering herself mentally, it's a shock she even managed to get back to the village in as timely a manner as she did, all be it a shell of her former self.

Teke tired, golden eyes never removed themselves from the beautiful gates of Sungakure, they were a sight she'd been longing for and it was so close now, but in reality, she would barely be a blip on the horizon to the naked eye of anyone standing guard. The only things running through the woman's head were the people she'd essentially abandoned, her family and friends, and even the village itself, she had sworn to be one of its protectors yet she'd abandoned them due to her own lack of strength and understanding of her own powers. It hadn't been quick or simple for Teke to learn how to purge her body of the tainted blood flowing within her and she had nearly died a dozen times over in her self-inflicted exile, but finally, it had worked, the Youkai had no influence on her anymore, though in doing so it had a massive effect on her body, her chakra circulatory system had been practically removed and rebuilt slowly, agonizingly over time and it had left some mental scars on the young lady for certain.

More time passed and before long Teke would come into visual range of the gates and would offer the first real look at her current appearance and it was anything but a pretty sight. Her blonde hair was overgrown and disheveled from the years of not taking care of it coupled with the dry desert winds. Her face and most of her body and clothes in fact were covered in sweat, dirt, and grime that might even be old, dried blood of unknown origin. Her clothes were dripping off of her skinny body and filled with rips and tears, even the heavy leather jacket she wore was battered through simply being abused for years. Most strikingly would be the left arm or rather lack of, which simply consisted of a dirtily bandaged stump, her robotic prosthesis having long worn away and broken down, though she still carried it in her small, makeshift cloth rucksack, just in case leaving it to be found and "analyzed" was a bad thing.

She just kept on moving as she entered the gates, not wishing to stop and wait for someone to come greet or interrogate her, to the point she reached into her one functioning pocked and pulled out the metallic plate from her headband, minus the cloth as that had been used elsewhere along the way. Hopefully, that was enough for them to see she was from the village. A small smile would form on her face though, as she saw the interior of the village once again, it had been far too long.

"Finally, back home..." She said softly to herself.

Over the years of his time in the village Akkuma had grown accustomed to exhausted individuals clinging to life emerging from the desert wastes. But more often then not they proved to be unlucky survivors from a caravan lost in the dunes. Even experienced shinobi had succumbed to the dangers of the desert. So when his headset clicked to life with the report of one such individual his curiosity was sparked. Although it was only when the mention of a headband being weakly held up by the kunoichi did he decide to investigate himself. He could have had one of his agents do so, but where was the joy in that? With everything that was underway he doubted that he would be able to indulge such urges. After all he wasn't far from the Bulwark entrance. Making his way there with a blinding speed the journey would take him only moments. Spotting the individual he would gently step down from a nearby roof, landing with a small bow. "It seems you've had quite the journey. Would you like some help?" his words were warm & friendly. Those emerald eyes of his holding Teke within his hungry gaze. What possibilities did this unknown Kunoichi hold?

While his outward demeanor seemed helpful & friendly. There was no denying the monstrous nature of the being that had offered his assistance. Emanating from Akkuma was a presence that attempted sap the very life force of all he deemed foe. Even without his hostile intent its corrupting influence could be felt engulfing all those in his vicinity. Standing at 6'2ft high with a slender athletic frame, his body was littered with numerous stitch-like scars & various runic markings. Not that much of his flesh was exposed for he wore fine midnight black travel robes. Long black nails extended out from his fingertips & he possessed waist length grey hair that whipped about in the wind. Hidden beneath his robes were various weapons & shinobi tools. Nothing out of the ordinary for a shinobi. There was something most peculiar though. That was a banished shinobi casually at the Gates. Not that Akkuma had often shown much concern for such matters. Especially when his curiosity had gotten the better of him. There were just some habits he had yet to shake, he wasn't perfect after all.

Keeping his gaze locked with the golden eyed kunoichi he couldn't help but wonder how she would react to an individual such as himself. Little did he know that this particular individual was yet another lost project of Sousukes. Perhaps he would gain yet another companion in his endeavors. Only the Fates could determine the outcome, how much would he learn of the individual before him. The anticipation of the unknown made him ecstatic with joy, these little moments were some of the few pleasures he got from life.

It didn't take long for someone to arrive before her, she had expected as much which is why she held onto that scrap of metal, the arm holding onto it dropping once she was approached, stuffing the metallic shard into the waist of her pants. She gave the man before her a look over, at one point in time he'd have been a foot taller than her, but somewhere between discovering her true origin and purging half of her corrupted inner workings, she'd overcome her stunted growth and achieved something she'd always dreamed of, height. She was somewhat confused as to the man's age, his face, though battle worn, looked young enough but his hair just seemed out of place in comparison, then again why did that even matter? Her exhaustion was making her focus on just the strangest things. She would give him a nod as he greeted her, seemed nice enough, at least she didn't get stuck with one of those by-the-book types who would just trigger her insatiable, current need for food. Though she had sworn not to engage in cannibalism since "reforming" herself for the sake of the village, she had indulged for the sake of survival in the past few years of solitude, picking off small bands of raiders, people who wouldn't be missed at any rate.

"It's been interesting..." She said with a tired smile, showcasing her sharky teeth. "Help after all this time would be... fantastic."

It hadn't escaped her attention that this fellow was emitting what would be considered an evil aura, of course, Teke was hardly one to judge, it was just surprising to her that she'd become so sensitive to it since purging the Youkai blood from her own body, perhaps the divine nature had become more attuned now that her blood wasn't so muddied with contradicting natures. She was feeling a little playful and wondered if he himself had such a sensitive sixth sense when it came to demons and angels, and without ever breaking their gaze she mustered the little bit of chakra she had in reserve and turned herself up to about a four, not quite willing the go the full eleven and risking passing out. With Akkuma looking into her eyes, he would notice their change before anything else, going from their usual metallic gold to a deep violet with a golden ring around the iris, like a mini halo, her body wouldn't change much but a faint violet aura would be sitting just around her body, slowly moving like smoke.

"It's unusual that someone like yourself would be the first to greet me, I will admit. I half expected either the cavalry or the red carpet." She chuckled.

After four years it wouldn't have been weird for them to send a squadron out to check who she was, after all, she was probably forgotten by most people within the walls by now, memories prone to fleeting. The young woman gave a shrug however, it didn't matter to her who or what came to greet her as long as she wasn't expected to fight her way in, that would be too extrenuous.

"If you really want to help though, I have like, a list of crap I wanna do and not enough bodies to do it. A bed, food, real food." She repeated with extra emphasis. "A strong drink, probably worth visiting the hospital too... just being around people in general, would be nice, just to have a somewhat normal conversation. Also a bath and new clothes."

There were probably a bunch of other things she could or should add to that list but that was enough for now, if he could offer aid to any of those options she would be quite ecstatic and thankful. Not like she'd forgotten the layout of the village but businesses change frequently and she had no idea the good spots to visit for half of her needs, someone in the village would though so she would lean on that crutch for now.

Akkuma chuckled at the kunoichi's words. From the state she was in he had no doubt there was quite an interesting story explaining what had happened. But he would have that elaborated on once he'd ensured her condition was stable. At least his offered aid wasn't faced with open suspicion like usual. A pleasant change given his current standing with the village officially. The Sage was unsure if what happened next was instinctual or intentional. Suddenly her appearance & aura became much like that of his departed daughter. Any instinctual pull he felt to respond to such a display was quelled by his memories. 'Cavalry or red carpet? I do wonder who she is.' he thought to himself finding his curiosity growing. "There is much going on, I can fill you in after we've gotten you more comfortable. I imagine their air of caution is due to my presence." he said in that disarmingly friendly tone of his. Those emerald eyes of his would glint with a devilish mischief. "We can talk about that later as well, there are more important matters to attend to." he would say with that trademark smile of his.

Listening carefully to what she required how fortunate for her that he was in the position to help with most of them. "Haha given the journey you've no doubt had they sound like fair requests. I can provide what you require, I'd be most interested to hear your story in return. First though..." he would trail off beginning to perform a series of handseals. This was a high level medical ninjutsu known as Angelic Blessing. A technique capable of restoring even the most lethal of wounds instantaneously. If the kunoichi didn't attempt to dodge his assistance she would begin to glow from the restorative energies. While it wouldn't fix her severed limb it would help restore some stamina & ensure she was stable for the journey ahead. "Why don't you come stay at my Casino? You can have the penthouse suite until you've recovered. I'll assign some attendants to the room for you." he made the offer calmly, wondering if she would accept.

The Sages establishment was more then capable of fulfilling the needs she had expressed, along with those she hadn't. Such an act was nothing to him & allowed him to further sate his curiosity about her. "Oh I almost forgot, my name is Akkuma." he would say with a warm laugh. So caught up in his curiosity he'd almost forgotten his basic etiquette. But given the excitement that had come with those that had returned from the waste he couldn't pass up a firsthand account. Much had been going on & given his attention had been focused outside of the Country he needed to ensure he wasn't letting anything sneak up on him locally. Besides it was obvious there was something about this shinobi that would prove to be interesting. At the least he'd made tally of a new returnee & the would depart ways if she so wished it. If not, she would find his hospitality was unmatched.

Holding the young woman in his piercing gaze the Sage wondered what her response would be. Akkuma had not been embellishing his willingness to accommodate the stranger. Hopefully her own curiosity was growing in regards to who he was & why he was so willing to provide aid. But perhaps that would come after the aid had been received any skepticism would be understandable. "Shall we go before someone comes along & ruins any chance of a proper welcome back for you?" he would say with another devilish grin motioning for the young woman to accompany him. If she needed his aid to make the journey he would provide it.

Her violet aura quickly dropped thereafter, her energy just couldn't maintain it right now but it was something she would need to train a tolerance for once again, maintaining such a holy aura could be taxing on her new circulatory system after all. She was unsurprised to learn that the lack of a welcoming party may be due to the man in front of her, it raised a bunch of questions but as she saw it, he was in there so people in power didn't care all that much. Probably just the junior shinobi being scared of someone they can't fathom, Teke had been unthafomable most of her life so she got it. To her, the man seemed friendly enough and that would work, for now, there was no safer place for her to be but the village, right? That was how she saw it at the very least. She was quite interested in this casino however, she'd never had the chance to visit that kind of place in the past due to her age mostly, though she'd seen her fair share of dive bars, an official casino should eclipse that by many times.

"I'd be lying if I decided to decline the offer." She chuckled. "It'll be my first casino after all."

There was also the penthouse being offered which she was very for right now, simply wandering back to her home after vanishing four years ago would bring up to many conversations she had neither the energy nor the patience for at the moment. At least here she could rest and gather the energy needed for such things. She was getting more and more interested in the man as well so getting to speak with him might prove beneficial for her, having been gone so long she would need to learn of everything that had happened in her absence. His wish for them to leave quickly was met with a nod from Teke, if anyone official turned up it'd be paperwork out the ass, sure she could try using her name to get out of it but truly she couldn't be bothered with all the bureaucracy.

"Name's Teke, Takahashi Teke." She said with a smile, maybe the name would mean something to him. Always fun to see the realization on people's faces. "Please to meet you, Akkuma."

With that she would follow him to the casino.
