Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The setup crew quickly placed down the tables for serving and long rows of tables and benches for people to eat at. Even setting up the serving dishes took very little time surprising them. The twenty people tasked to set up the area smiled thinking it was pretty easy to set up taking less than two hours total. Seeing several people showing up with carts with tents and cooking supplies their lounge time on the benches was halted when they realized they needed to help set up for the next day’s event by completing the outdoor kitchen areas for the event as well. Several stoves, smokers, and ovens made of metal or rock were set up at various stations by someone in charge. If it could be baked, fried, smoked, roasted, or cooked there was a station for it or specialized cooking practices areas such as pits being dug to roast out of. While something dishes would be made fresh for patrons other things needed so they were started now for when noon came various dishes would almost be ready to eat. The scents of exotic spices would waft around the areas probably enticing or distracting those training on the proving grounds.

(OoC: By the time PCs show up it looks like the line is forming to get food)

On this day, Shoma had paid a visit to the local training ground for shinobi of the Stone Village. He had ceased training and conditioning for the day in order to take a short break which would be followed by a shift of gate guarding. A mixture of scents begin to fill the air as he is on his way home. Thinking of the possibilities of the variety that might be available, Shoma though it would behoove himself and his young master if he were to carry home something a little different for them to share. He peers over shoulders of strangers to see what he might find.

Shikai elected to participate in the large social gathering that was for some reason set up in the proving grounds where one would normally be expecting to fight more than eat. He had packed away his gloves and hit the showers after training, before going so he was sure people didn't have two reasons to be uncomfortable around him. He decided to queue up right away as the line would only get longer as time went by. Standing in line he took a long look around those who had shown up to try an spot the Shinobi hiding amongst the regular crowd. So far he had been unsuccessful in spotting anyone he knew and he had yet to see anyone with a headband who was not working as a staff memeber for the even.

I wonder if any of the other students are in the crowd. Need to find one of them to ask when the next classes start so we can get our initiations and become genins or whatever people aspired to become.

Having a long time before reaching the food Shikais mind started to wander. He thought about how his life would change after the academy and how mos of it was still unknown and uncertain. Maybe he could form a team with the others but he had heard that some get individual instructors due to the low amount of students and the high demand for prodigies to take on the unique knowledge that the older generations have collected through experience.

As the middle aged looking man is scratching his chin and searching for a line to enter, a woman makes her way through the crowd. She carries a shopping bag through the crowd, trying to get from one stand to next. A moderately attractive woman, she looks to be a commoner in her late twenties. She scratches her head frequently and looks as if she is struggling to find something. However, only minutes after every line, stand, or crowd she leaves, people start to complain. In the meantime Shoma, dressed as commoner himself, has finally found a line to enter with a sushi bar.

Finally reaching the end of the foodline Shikai got his servings and looked around for a place to sit. Not wanting to impose on others he found a spot with a least one free chair on either side and sat down there to eat. He hadn't participated much in the festival but he could at least get his 10 cents worth before leaving.

Shikai finished his food while gazing out into the sparse crowd that had shown up for this event. It was sad that such a social gathering did not get more attention than this but being one of the ones showing up he could not do more for it. Maybe it was because there really was nothing to do other than eat but that should at least attract an Akimichi or two. All he saw other than townsfolk was a single guy standing out a slight bit by having a visible weapon. Didn't seem dangerous though.

Shikai returned his plate to the stand so that they may wash and reuse it if the event should become more lively later. For now he himself would take his leave seeing as he had other matters to attend and this particular one didn't yield any benefit so far. He took a look in his backpack to check that he had not lost anything to thieves. Not that the place was haunted by such, but better check than find out later. He found nothing missing and therefore went towards the outskirts of the event to leave it as fast and trouble free as possible. Swimming through volunteers to get back home was not on his list of thing to do today.

He found himself exiting the even on the opposite side of where he had to go, which forced him to circle around it. He took one last look over his shoulder before disappearing completely.
