Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Hoshi sat inside of his dojo, in front of the entrance, but twenty yards out from it so he'd be in clear view when someone entered. His hands were crossed in his lap, eyes closed and e was calm. Still as unwavering tree rooted to the earth. His meditation was in full effect, he would be breathing slow deep breaths in through his nose, and out lightly parted lips. His core would slowly expand and deflate with each breath, and not a sound of the wind escaping could be heard.

He had summoned Hirateuchi, a Shinobi very adept with water jutsu who had come to know recently. Their first meeting was under some stressful circumstances but it sparked a friendship that would last for ages, maybe even through children of the next generation. He wanted to not only hang out talk with him, but maybe even slide in a small training regiment to sharpen the ninja tools. When he'd arrive Hoshi would be more than welcoming.

Inside the teenagers body was blazing spirit, his chakra network in a controlled riot within him. His mind contained no thoughts, he solely focused on his breathing, and his chakra. He would fuel the revserves he had and in an instant stop everything at once, slowly opening his eyes.

Hira approached slowly; cautiously but with a particular eagerness to meet with Hoshi once again. The young shinobi had a fighting spirit that blazed stronger than many of the jounin he had come to know and had fought hard to protect him during their fight with the devil of the sand, Kaen. Within Hoshi's dojo, he had hoped he might find the same resolve and strength so that in the future he would not feel so helpless. With weapon slung over his shoulder, Hira walked up to its entrance, spotting the young shinobi meditating near the entrance. With a wave, Hira called out, "Hey, Hoshi. How's it hanging?"

Hira would proceed to step inside, his Kimono flowing gently at the difference in wind, before setting up his belongings near the side of the structure. "Hey Hoshi... I know we haven't talked much since staying at the hospital, but thanks for inviting me out here. I want to... I want to get stronger. I felt so weak, so helpless against Kaen. I don't ever want to have to see the people around me suffer like that again." With that Hira finished setting up his supplies and found a spot to sit down, taking a moment to meditate himself and focus his chakra. It would also be a nice opportunity to catch up with his new friend and learn some more about him as a shinobi.

A voice rang out, a greeting from Hirateuchi, who had finally arrived. Hoshi’s pale eyes would open slowly, the lids retracting to reveal a soft gaze. He smirked, although he still felt bad about what happened during the fight. But he was glad that everything was resolved in the hospital.

“Hey Hira, come, take a seat.”

His style was much like the flow of his water, smooth. He came to approach explaining himself. Hoshi looked with soft eyes, his shoulders descending in sadness at his comrades words. He shook his head, although the movement didn’t disturb his current state of elevation.

“Had it not been for you and Tatsuo, I wouldn’t be here right now. You’ve helped me to continue fighting for what my heart yearns for. Although, I’m sure I can help you find a new way to manifest your abilities.”

Hira nodded in acknowledgment to Hoshi's words, listening to him speak but not entirely hearing what was actually being said. He was having a small amount of trouble wrapping his head around being inside of a dojo again. The last time he was with his father, arguing about training as they always had.

"Hey, Hoshi..."

Hira started but wasn't sure where to go with his words. He wanted in his heart to talk to Hoshi and train with a strong shinobi that he had come to know, but the memories this place brought back were certainly detrimental to his confidence.

"Well, never mind. Say, do you think that we could train outside today? It's kind of stuffy in here."

With that, Hira took a moment to re-align his bundled weapon over his shoulder, both as an obtuse way of saying 'get a move on', and because the weapon had been slipping all this while. Hira looked strangely at the corded blades as he did so, finding it odd that they slipped even while he was holding them. That aside, he shuddered slightly looking back at the dojo and spoke up once more, hoping not to insult his host.

"Not stuffy like the place is bad... I mean I'd love to train in the dojo but... Ummm... Well I just won't be able to concentrate in here is all..."

"No problem man!"

Hoshi beckoned his comrade outside. He would follow after shortly and continue speaking.

"That guy we fought back then. He was an S rank criminal. He rivaled one of our Sennin in battle. Just know Hira, we are some lucky shinobi to make it out alive. He was in a weakened state at the time. You're healing waters are impressive. Now, utilize your weapon with same fluidity as your water jutsu. That will in turn allow you a different avenue of strength and defense. You much promise, more than me personally. I'd give my life to see your talent come to fruition."

Hoshi slid low into a jyuuken stance. His eyes were locked on Hira. He was focused but at the same time calm and reassuring.

"Put everything into it, as if it were water, and aim true. Show me the cascading force of your shinobi will Hirateuchi!"

S-rank criminal, huh? So that explains his power...

Hira looked over to his new friend, noticing the drive he had not only on his face, but in his heart. The words he said about believing in Hira's potential were heart-warming, but they were equally hurtful. His own lack of confidence made that sentiment difficult to digest. He was, however, ready to train some more, and it seemed Hoshi was prepared for the same. Adopting a strange stance Hoshi stood exclusively ready for battle, and after a quick moment to fasten his weapon to his arms, Hira looked up determined.

"If we're going to do this you had better be prepared, cause I'm won't hold anything back. I can't hold back if I want to get strong enough to beat that guy..."

Hira began to move into his own position, his arms moving fluidly almost as if they were simply extensions of the depths he used as a weapon.

"Don't make the mistake of thinking I'm as weak as I was during that fight. I have dedicated all of my time to getting stronger... let's see what you've got!"

"A true shinobi always fights with all of his powers at the ready!"

Hoshi blinked and in that instant of closing and opening his eyes he activated the famed hyuuga doujutsu. Thick veins swelled around his hues and even inside the pale eyes of the young shinobi. The fluidity of Hirateuchi's chakra flow had come into view for him. He was able to see every chakra point, or tenketsu as the family would call it. Hoshi inhaled sharply and held his breath at it's pinnacle. He would come at Hira directly, dashing with his palm cocked back to his armpit, within range he would launch a basic palm strike at Hira targeting his torso. If the latter respond with a counter, Hoshi would replace himself with a fallen branch nearby and retaliate with a left basic palm strike.

If Hoshi was allowed he'd make a dash to separate himself from Hira and catch a breather. But if the chance wasn't given, Hoshi would hold up a tiger seal and the shadow beneath him would begin to extend, much like a Nara technique. This was no technique of this of course, but a simply manipulation of his shadow through chakra hoping to distract his opponent whenever his enlarged shadow moved with him. Hoshi would close the distance again between them, his shadow play buffing taijutsu causing his shadow to sway the opposite direction of his incoming attack.

Hoshi came on in full force, just as Hira would have hoped. If either of them were to get strong enough to beat monsters like the one they fought together previously, they wouldn't have the luxury f taking their time. Responding in turn, Hira took a firm grasp of his weapon and answered with a yell of passion before charging forth. Hoshi went to strike at him, landing a glancing blow, though it felt as though it alone had more of an impact than even a full hit would previously have granted. Not one to be bested, Hira let go of his blades with one hand, and covering his arm is a thin layer of water struck at Hoshi. Not a move he was used to, but in such close quarters, he had to make do with what he had. Just as he struck, Hoshi disappeared, leaving behind naught but a branch.

Damn he's fast, but I'm not gonna let him get away that easily. Two can play this game.

Hira allowed Hoshi to back up, he was only signing his own loss after all. Longer ranges are where the water child excelled, and he waited patiently to be handed such an advantage. Gripping a blade handle once again, he spun it around causually as water once again formed around his arm, but this time the water lay less fluid, and soon it began to freeze over, creating a thin layer of chakra-infused ice. With a smirk, Hira charged in, throwing one his blades in front of him, which whistled through the air as it seeked its target. If he dodged the blade he'd be wide open for his ice attack. It was anyone's guess though, how the versatile shinobi would react this time.

After changing places with a log, Hoshi thought he had the upper hand on his friend. He allowed him adequate time to create distance which was to his advantage, or so he thought. Hoshi gathered his thoughts all within a few quick seconds. With a slight dip, he launched himself toward Hira again.

Mid stride he had to plant his foot down. A projectile was flying straight toward his face and Hoshi side stepped it, staring the projectile down as it passed. The boy was grinning from ear to ear at his success until he realized. 'That... WAS JUST A HOAX?!' He thought to himself as he landed. Little did he know, he stepped right into Hirateuchi's real attack.

Hoshi was left defenseless and took the full brunt of the attack. With a yelp, the pain stung deep into his skin as he tried to recover. He was happy, even excited that Hira was upping his game as of late. Hoshi stopped sliding across the floor and pinned his elbow into the ground, the force causing his body to rise. He pushed off his forearm, swinging his lower half to complete a back handspring and back on his feet.

"Nice move, Hira. Now I can expect from that you. Heh, ready again?!"
