Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The posters had been put up everyone, the talking and discussion had kept the Leaf village in constant gossip for so long now. It seemed that it was the talk of the town that everyone had a small say in who was going to win. The students would have had their own time to prepare and of course right now that time was coming to an end quickly. With what probably felt like weeks to those that were participating inside of the match it was now to the point where all that talk and bragging was going to be put to the test. Those that were truly skilled in combat would rise up and the eyes of visitors and village members from all over would be watching them do so.

Builders from everywhere has been getting into the village since the time of the announcement, they had been toiling hard every day in the sun, building the arena that would hold this spectacle, it was clear that each one of them was played with their hard work but even they had been discussing what would be happening inside of the fighting. It was a tournament that money had even been placed on, the odds had gone up as soon as sign ups shut it was clear that everyone stood to gain something. But it would only be a single student that would be immortalized by taking first place. The glory would fall to them but even the top three would be seen with respect by their future peers and who knew branches might even make offers to them at the end of the tournament.

Finally, after months of preparation the ground work had been done and the inspection of the arena had been completed it was now prepared to seat the thousands of spectators that would be coming to watch the fights that would take course during this tournament. The night before the matches begun the Branches would have been reached out to, notes being sent about how the fights would be going and what the proceedings would be for those that they did wish to consider joining their branches at the end. With that all said as night came by the arena was completed, the huge walls circled the battle grounds. Grass and trees stood all around and against the wall on the north side stood a pond of water that had been created to allow those that found fondness of water to fight with their full potential. Standing in silence that would soon change.

THE ARENA
naruto-clash-of-ninja-mvz-20070316061243901-000.jpg

At the south side stood a small box, though this box would seat those of importance inside of the village, at the rest of the tournament it would hold the representatives of each branch to allow them to have a full view of the fights taking place. It would allow them to spot any potential candidates that they wished to recruit and would allow them to be able to make offers to those at the end of the tournament. While recruitment or offers were off the table until the end, they would be able to see each person that participated in the tournament and how well that they handled themselves inside of the battlefield.

As the day light broke, it was down to the staff that was working the arena to begin preparing it. Food bars would be snacked in preparation for those that would be spending their entire day in the location, drinks refilled and all the new equipment that had been brought into this arena ready and prepared the doors slowly where cracked open for the first time to the stools that waited for everyone that would be filling them soon. With nearly a count of over three thousand seats and each day that was filled. Those lucky enough to get finals tickets had been spending the words about their luck to others that could not make it.

The box was prepared for those that would be attending, including the main chair that sat in the centre of the box for the Hokage. This would be the place for those that were here to evaluate those that were going through the Academy. It would be used as a point to see how the students were being trained to even see if there were adjustments that needed to be made. But for that would be after this needed, for now it was time to put up the first round. It seemed that the board at the entrance had those names that would be participating in. As the men moved and slotted the names into place it set into the first-round draw, each name locked into place ready to be started. The first fight of this tournament would draw the crowds in.

It seemed that the flyers had been posted over town the night before and people would now be waking up to them, it was time for everyone to face this day. Depending on how the students managed would potentially see what would happen to them in the future. It was clear that everything was now coming into place.

For the students their entrance like the Hokage stood guarded by two ANBU, the masks and black robes of the men would only allow entrance to those that had been approved to enter the area. For the Hokage booth those walking up would be met with the best view of the fight. For those students that entered at the bottom it would split into two directions allowing access at opposite sides of the arena, it seemed that right now the morning had come up and as the crowds started to head into the direction of the arena the fate of the students would be in their hands. The rounds drawn up and people paying to watch it was clear that they had to focus on the task at hand and not get distracted about anything else.

[entering topic - spectating Suyashi vs Maru - feel free to join me : D ]

That day had come, a tournament to test the students of leaf academy against each other. The whole town had been nothing but talking about it, but Kuro had known first as soon as it had been anounced. The white-haird boy usually wouldn't have paid an mind to anything special in the tournament, to him it was an amusing viewing experience, that was, until he had spotted a certain name on the bracket that made him raise his eyebrows. 'Minamoto Suyashi', was it? The boy he had met just recently, they boy who was, just like Kuro himself, using lightning based attacks. If their talk was any indication, this was going to be good. That alone was not the only thing that was interesting about this fight, the two competitors stepping into the arena couldn'T be more different, one was as he knew a pretty upbeat kid with lightning ninjutsu, while the other kid... well only looking at him it seemed like he was leaking dark intent, not even trying to hide it. Now, it still depended on the dark ones abilities, but a coffin usually screamed suspicion. Kuro leaned back in his seat to relax until bboth of them were ready to fight. The spectators around him seemed equally interested in how this would turn out, but from what Kuro coud hear from those around him, the coffinkid was more of a favorite with the spectators. Kuro looked back down, true, he looked way more intimidating, but looks wasn'T everything in a shinobi confrontation. Brains and creativity were what counted, so he wasn't to sure that the glasses kid as the favorite. As the beginning of the fight drew coser, Kuro leaned back forward and mumbled, "Just keep your cool kid, you got this." Weird how he was sitting here, actually cheering for a boy he'd met only once, but he'd somewhat come to like the kid since then.

Re: Student Tournament Opening Ceremony!!! (Spectating Suyashi and Maru)

Ziren waited for the match with Suyashi and Maru. He doesn't really know Suyashi that much. But Maru on the other hand. That guy is the calm and collected type. With a side of being an asshole. Okay maybe more than that.
But considering how he detested everyone in the ANBU class, even the teacher, it seemed. He sure has a lot of spunk. And that puppet of his. Will he be controlling one? Or more? This will be the real test. To see if he really is what he thinks so highly of himself.

Ziren smiled. "I guess I'll root for you. Just don't disappoint."

Megu had noticed the posters around town appear almost overnight, along with whispers in the corridors and stolen glances at other students stances and jutsu. At first he'd considered joining them and had even taken a few notes on some of the fighters, but it mostly came to nothing.

After his last failed mission he was starting to consider whether ninja life was really for him. When he first discovered his powers he was one of the first in the Academy on a morning, only leaving to work the busy evening shift before relaxing in the spa, pretending to practise his water jutsu. Ever since his mission, however, he'd barely been to training at all, focusing his efforts instead into Suo's and their traveling food cart.

The business had really taken off in the last few weeks, yet it still came as a surprise when they've been invited to set up a stall for the tournament. He'd arrived early and prepped the grill, fresh meats cooked right before the customers eyes. At first he couldn't breathe for people, but as the fights started he gathered armfuls of kebabs along with a large drum of tea that he strapped to his back, his apron discarded for a short sleeved grey t-shirt, his hair somehow tussled into an odd man bun to keep it out of the way. As he walked amongst the crowds he hawked his goods half-heartedly, more looking forward to seeing some action.

"Suo's meats! Get yourself a spicy treat! Need a break, from the fight? Get yourself a hot delight!"

His first port of call was Suyashi vs Maru, and the boy almost forgot that he was there to sell not to spectate as he listened to the students verbally spar with each other before their match.

Wait... has that one brought a coffin with him?

He laughed a little as he meandered around the crowd a little more, half selling, half waiting to see what he was going to do next.

[Entering Topic - Watching all fights seldomly and eyeing the Hokage Box intensely and obviously]

Again, his target brought him to the Kitsune Park arena area. The damage that was created that night easily fixed and rectified. What were a few deep gouging pot holes after all. What little structural damage rectified, hopefully. Nothing like a tectonic shift to test the merit and ingenuity of Fire Countries engineering capabilities. He took a in a position that allowed site into the box that would house the most important of the village. Keeping in mind of the possible glare that might occur at some point.

To him, the fights were just an excuse. He wasn't here to see them. Why would he, they weren't significant enough, nothing to be bothered by. Though, those within that box. They were important. Obviously they were, why would they be held...captive and isolated. The thoughts running through his head. A grin coming across his face. If he so desired their demise, so dreamed of dealing a satisfactorily blow to Konohagakure, he could of used a fire jutsu targeting that windowed area. The slight build of it would allow for a channeled flame to keep from escape, intensifying the encapsulated flames blown within, roasting those so important in a few seconds to the point of no recognition. Alas, he hadn't the abilities in the art of the flame, and couldn't think of another set of skills that would be practical for such. And he couldn't get into the area, as he saw it was well guarded by those in masks. No no, for now he would just have to bide his time. Hope for a distraction, or wait for an opening of some sort. The current thinking being as his target walked out and back home. Perhaps then, the guards would be sufficiently tired, or off guard..

For now he looked down upon those that were about to bough, using his glowing eye of his byakugan to gather what intelligence it could. On them, and those near the box. Yozara Akihito vs Yaboi...it was just Yaboi apparently. Very wierd...

The match began. The weaponry being used, weird and unorthodox. He smiled greatly, and laughed to himself. Perhaps it spoke volumes about the training in this village. Then again... The match was progressing slightly. Yaboi seeming to have the upperhand being slightly stronger and able. He was keeping his opponent from acting, quite successfully. He looked up at the box, seeing what was happening in there.

The sennin he had met a while back had also made an appearance. He got slightly angry. He must have known something, surely by now. Yet, still he hadn't made any contact with the young boy that now stared intently at him. That day at the gates as well, he avoided making eye contact with him. Even as he waved at the guy. He had shrugged that action off, thinking perhaps he was just to occupied to even notice. But it had been so long. So very long and no news. He had been to the gates several times, watching people come and go. Certainly he would have heard something about the boy keeping watch. Yet, nothing. He cringed and bit his lip, the apparent anger greatly showing. Quickly the wound healed, a black mass weaving around his lip closing the wound and making the skin whole again.

It shouldn't be allowed...

Ziren noticed someone at the corner of his eyes. The dude was eyeing the Hokage box. He kind of gave off the same feeling as Maru. But he could tell that this guy is way more advanced in fighting than Maru. Did this guy personally train Maru to make him into the hateful person he is today?
Ziren shook his head. Good thing for him, the guy was more focused on more important people. He looked around the crowd for a familiar face. There! Kuro was watching the battle. Ziren pushed through the crowd and was beside him in a second.
"Kuro! It's me!" Ziren yelled over the crowd. "Look, we have a rather important matter to discuss! Look to your right, but don't make it obvious. One if the top rows. There's a man eyeing the Hokage box. We need to do something right now."
Even though they are Genin, going against a potential assassin, the least they can do is get the attention of the ANBU to get rid of this guy.
"Just whatever you do, don't make it look obvious. We need to make a plan, right now."

Things were going to start and it couldn't have been more interesting, a former lightning user against a mad puppet using ninja. He wondered if Suyashi knew about how to fight against puppets, if not this might be about to end in a bad, bad way. Kuro himself had heard about this type of justsu, ut although he had seen a few such ninjas, he had never seen anyon fight with puppets himself, he only knew of how the theory worked. He folded his hand between his legs while leaning on his arms to get a better sight of things, but the beginning of the fight only looked like Sushi was going to set up for himself, while Glasses-kun was already attacking. Kuro was of the opinion that it was dodgeable, but being in a fight was different from watching a fight, here's to hope weatherboy was focused. He could only shake his head at them though, sushi sounded like this little tournament was everything to him, did he think he needed to prove himself? Finding the reason for his behaviour would certainl be interesting, but that was nothing he could guess, aside from using lightning styled ninjutsu they were nothing alike. MAru on the other hand, was a psychopath who seemed to care less about the tournament, but more about seriously hurting Suyashi. What would happen if Maru actually won? Would he try to kill the boy? WOuld he be stopped? Certainly nobody woul watch a mad student kill another in a "friendly" confrontation.

Kuro would be interrupted in his spectating when a voice called out to him that he remembered. Yes, it was someone he had actually met just recently. He looked up to look at Ziren, or that was what he thought he was called. "Hue? FIrst you'Re shouting, then you don't want anybody to hear us? You're weird one you know." His eyes moved up, today concealed by a pair of sunglasses noboy woul actually see the movement of his eyes, not that he cared. Whatever Ziren was saying it didn'T seem to make much sense to Kuro, well sure the guy looked suspicious, but if he posed danger the ANBU and security would certainly have acted by now. "Listen, I say we don't waste time on the dude and just enjoy the show." He'd be mad to try and attack the hokage and sennin and whoever else was in that booth, he just wasn't sure if that was enough to convince Ziren. Instead... OI, Kiddo, we'd like to buy some o' that meat of yours." He shouted towards a kid a two rows below to get his attention. "I'll even pay for you, how's that sound? We're partners after all right?" He fletched his teeth in a wild grin while he was waving the kid over.

The brackets had been set for this morning and Shinzo had been lucky enough to find that he wasn’t competing until later which gave the young boy an opportunity to watch his peers in their fights. Such excitement and such fun filled his thoughts as his figure bounded up through flights of stairs and into the crowd. He pushed his way towards the front to look out at the competition.

Today was no ordinary day, oh no, Shinzo desired to enjoy this atmosphere as much as possible. Today he wore a bright red piece of cloth around his forehead, just below his hairline. Emblazoned on it was the phrase ‘1st annual student tournament’ a message which was also present on his new t-shirt that he wore with pride. It was ever so slightly baggy on his small body, it hung down to his mid thighs in a semi-skirt like fashion, but that did not take away from the pride with which the eight year old wore the attire. He reached the railings at the very front of the crowd and jumped up to try and get a better view, this allowed him to see quite far down into the arena.

Once he landed, he took a step back from the edge and reached round to his back and withdrew a small drum that sat on the end of a stick, on each side of the drum lay two balls hanging on string. Shinzo had been keeping the den-den daiko in the waistline of his shorts, having bought it from a vendor on the way up. He glanced upwards to the box which contained a few familiar faces, some of his teachers and some people he didn’t really know. Tamashii, Akumi, Kenshin (who he had to thank for the shirt) and Yomi were all there. Of course, Yomi was sat in the Hokage’s seat, Shinzo wished that he knew her rank when he had first met her but at least he had managed to interact with her before the tournament started. Now he’d have to try his best in order to earn that duel with her. Really, he was seeking to impress all his teachers most of all, he grinned and waved to each of them before turning back to the fights. After all, he still had time to wait until he had to get ready to participate himself.

Shinzo held out the den-den daiko between both palms and started rotating the instrument, it made a constant banging sound but it was not too loud. He began to shout out to his peers from the spectator section.

“Yo! Good luck! Jukooooo! Suyashiiiii!” He screamed at the top of his lungs. After all, these were the only two students who he had had some time to get to know. His chanting continued, and Shinzo decided it called for a little dance too. The student began to hop from one leg to the other, still calling out to his peers that were participating and making as much noise as possible with the little drum in his hands.

Yukio had been eyeing each of the fights with some interest, considering he had trained a few of the students in his own time it would be more than obvious he would arrive to observe if each of them had taken at least some of his advice before their fights had taken place. Standing at the railings in front of the crowd he let his eyes gaze across the crowd as a sigh escaped his lips. This was not really his kind of place at least not on a normal day, Something about large groups of people in one place was enough to set him on edge maybe it was instinct or paranoia as he shrugged the sensation off.

They seemed to each be doing well to some extent, the training each of them had gone through to reach this point was becoming plainly obvious considering how much each pair were going at each others throats. Crossing his arms he didn't call out to any in particular such a thing was not his style nor was it something that naturally came to mind for him to do through tilting his head to the side he observed those in the crowd cheering for friends and comrades alike.

He was somewhat interested to see what would come of all this, it seemed like it would show them who had the most potential out of all those who resided in the academy at the time though such showings were not always uncommon as he eyed the booth for those who need not sit among the more common Shinobi. Taking time to watch each action he went over the fights in his mind, thinking about what he would do in their shoes and where possible improvements could be made, though he was not an expert on the matter he would still attempt to see if he could map out what training each would have to do to improve after this tournament was over.

NPC: Kasumi Masa

Minamoto Suyashi vs Dokuso Maru fight

Masa went to the stadium like every other civilian. She did not want the hastle of trying to prove who she was and an extra security detail. It was a hassle and she could defend herself. Not many would be looking for the former Mizukage here. There was no reason since there was no Mist.

But Mist did live on in her blood and her son's heart. She was excited for him. He would be testing the waters here and hopefully gain some recognition.

She found a spot, praying on people's assumption she was an invalid who needed a good seat, at the very front of the row. She leaned her cane on the seat next to her feigning that she was waiting for someone.

Soon enough, his fight began and it was quickly becoming frustrating. Masa would watch at the puppet user would get in some strikes while Suyoshi was missing all of his attacks. Another exchange of blows was similar with some damage done.

As Suyoshi pulled out the cane blade, Masa looked at him directly and smiled a small smile. Oh that boy sure knew how to make a flashy statement.

'Go my boy. Show them that we Mist Shinobi still fight for our country!'

Ziren watched on the fight. He could tell that both Maru and Suyashi were giving it their all. In fact, he was surprised to see Suyashi making life hell for Maru. He laughed to himself, "Not so high and mighty after all, aren't you?"
He took a look at Suyashi. It's true the kid is beating the living sense out of Maru. But the kid is almost out of chakra. Just looking at how exhausted he is, his posture. Right now this battle is undetermined.
Ziren ignored what Kuro said.
"You ever had that guy feeling that something is wrong? Or when it tells you not to trust a certain person? That's what I'm getting from that guy up in the stands."
When Kuro didn't answer, Ziren got in front of him to block the view of watching the fight.
"We are Leaf Ninja. It doesn't matter who we are, we need to protect all those who live in the village. And what if, we are the only one that can stop something or someone? Are you just going to let it happen and just say that the ANBU can just handle it? What if they aren't here? What if we were the only ones that seen something bad happen and nobody else is around to do anything?"
Ziren didn't mean to get mad, but he wasn't just going to let the potential dangers to the Leaf slide as easily as Kuro wants to.

[Spectating Doku vs Sushi]

Nestled in the shadow of the general observance walkway, Kouza had kept to himself as his fight was not yet announced and had given him an oppurtunity to watch how Yoshi was faring. To say the least he was diappointed and somewhat annoyed at this fight for many reasons but the main two were each placed on the individual participants. On Yoshi's head was the fact that Kouza believed that his friend was not taking what was at stake truly serious. He was generally talking way to much to an opponent and instead of sticking to what works, had been playing around with jutsu. On Doku's behalf, Kouza just straight up found the kid to be irritating and someone who would for a long time be on his bad side. These matches were supposed to be a showcase of talent and skill, to let the village see their progress and growth and yet this kid was only showing just how unfit he would be to even wear a headband. Grinding his teeth, Kouza's grip on his crossed arms tightened as it took much control not to act on what Doku had been saying.

"And I bet you guys find this kind of behavior entertaining...normal...maybe even understanding it"

His eyes would shift their gaze towards the well guarded observation box which many of the branch leaders and high ranking members had gathered. Narrowing his eyes, his mind could not help but undergo a relasping of his former affliction suffered in one of his classes. Kouza's mind was a myriad of thoughts though what prevailed to dominate his attention was just how untrusting these people were to him. They allowed such antics to take place and moreso allowed a kid who was showing every sign of never being a functioning member of a team or let alone someone who could keep themselves composed to continue this display. If an analogy was to suit Kouza's growing sentiments it would that somewhere deep in his mind, the seed that was long planted suddenly had a hairline crack against it's outer husk. Scoffing, Kouza would turn his back and descend into the walkway...

"If you lose, then you brought it on yourself...don't be a weakling"

Although Suyoshi seemed to have a stronger body and could take one or two hits more them Maru, it wouldn't help him if he couldn'T hit a ninjutsu, something that in fact sounded sad for how fast lightnin was, although he didn't seem to rely on purely lightning, a variation of it maybe. A bloodline? The young man wouldn'T llet his eyes of the fight, but especially Suyoshi. Maybe he should set his focus on learning to do more with his chakra and maybe be more inventive with it. Taking his focus into account, it was understandable he was getting slightly pissed off as Ziren interrupted him by getting in his way. "A gut feeling, hue? I don't really get it, sure you can act on a gut feeling, but I'd like to keep quiet and don'T cause trouble for suspicions you don't have any evidence on. MAybe he is just a little jealous he can't be down there? Or he has some anger issues." He shrugged with his shoulders. This wasn't the time to get attention on them, if anything it was insulting on the guys fighting down there. "So you see, if you feel that dutifull, then go find an ANBU or Jounin or someone and tell them, they will know what to do." Well Kuro could have probably made the story more believeable if he told an ANBU, but he couldn't be bothered to get up right now.

He leaned over to the side to see what happened in the battle, but had to realize he missed quite the bit...

Ziren took a look at the mysterious person. He tried to focus on listening to the man's blood flow. The dude was obviously anticipating a lot. His blood flow is fast. But there were so much people, with their blood flowing fast that might be interfering with his train of thought.

He turned back to the fight. He was surprised to see that Maru has lost. But he was kind of happy that happened. Serves him right for being an asshole. But when he talked about his own mother's death, Ziren couldn't help but feel bad for him. He feels so much pain that he wants to inflict it onto others so that they know how he feels. Even though he won't show it, Ziren could only know the pain Maru has went through, for he too lost both of his parents.

But then he saw the blood. Ziren could feel his thirst for blood bubble up. Even if it was gooey black liquid, it was still blood. He could feel his own blood racing with excitement. He could feel that the viens in his eyes were going to pop and make his eye all eerily blood like. He licked his lips. He shook his head. No, I can't do this now. It would be terrible if it happens now.

Ziren wanted to argue with Kuro some more, but he couldn't stay here any longer without something happening.
"I'm sorry, but I have to go now. I can't explain right now, but meet me at Ichiraku ramen later. I'll tell you everything when we meet up."

Ziren pushed through the crowd, took one more good look at the mysterious person, remembering everything about him, and then walked out of the stadium. He brought out one of his kunai and looked at his reflection. His eyes were blood red again. But they were slowly fading away. At least he got out before anything really happened.

(Leaving this topic. Kuro, I'm going to make that next post in the forum that has Ichiraku ramen, when you're done here, you can just meet up with my character whenever you like.)

Call Me Baby
"Kids these days are getting weird."<i></i> Sanyu was watching the fight between one student, who used thunder and storm, and a puppet student. Puppet users were relatively rare, so this was definitely an interesting sight, but god damn was he a creepy child. He was only a student and had more sadistic tendencies than a dominatrix at a bar, who hurt this poor child!? He clearly needed a hug, from something other than that creepy doll, yeah this child is going to be problematic in the future.

The blonde kid, however, had a drive that Sanyu admired, from the way the fight was going, and the way the crazy child was talking about killing in a tournament, he thought the puppet child would win. However, the tables quickly turned, it seemed the blonde child had less skill in ninjutsu than he did with Taijutsu, though he had some interesting ninjutsu, the clouds darkened from his presence, it was quite interesting to watch. The fight, however, didn't last too long. The blonde kid was definitely better off using Taijutsu at the moment, not to discourage his ninjutsu usage, but it definitely needed some fine tuning.

"I'm kinda scared how the puppet kid will react to this loss."<i></i> The child clearly had some screws loose, and if Sanyu were in charge he wouldn't be allowed to continue studying to be a shinobi, let alone become an official shinobi of Konoha, too volatile, and clearly can't discern friend from foe. Hopefully whoever is teaching this young child has taken note of his behavioral issues and are planning to address it, this village doesn't need psychopaths protecting it. He'll either snap and kill a bunch of people, or just attempt to go missing, meaning it'll be up to ANBU or Sanyu himself to erase the problem. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, its probably a phase, he does seem to be at that age where his body would be changing in ways he doesn't understand, this is probably his outlet. Its not a healthy outlet, but its an outlet.

Shiori wiped sweat from his brow, his heavy jacket resting on the trolley as he worked over the grill. He could hear, just over the sizzle, the sounds of the fighting. Megu had seen the posters, and brought one to the boys as they finished a shift, espousing the possibilities. They had begun to plan on how to sneak in with their portable grill, and snipe the competition, as they had been so much recently. Suo’s was making a name for itself, both good and bad. The boys were no longer welcome in certain establishments in the Oak district. But they had been making money hand over fist, and so Suo didn’t mind, and through him, the boys didn’t either.

However, in pursuing their culinary domination, the boys had begun to relax from their Shinobi life. This was also an opportunity to reconnect with that life. Shiori couldn’t be the best ninja if he spent his life cooking, after all. Fortunately for the boys, they were invited, rather than having to forced their way in, which would have likely ended poorly with so many ninja around.

Megumareta had wandered off to sell some of the grilled meat Shiori had been preparing, And watching the fights probably he thought to himself, Chicken and beef he had marinated for a day in spices, leading to a lightly spiced meat, inoffensive to most. Shori had kept the ‘good stuff’ back. Marinated in oil, with a dash of vinegar as the base, he added his special spice blend. He was brushing the mixture onto the skewered meat as well, saturating it with the hot spices and hint of cinnamon he enjoyed. Maybe others would like it too. People were focussed on the fights at the moment, so he was free to focus on cooking, but he was sure that people would want to eat between fights or after it was all over. They would come, he was sure.

[ENtered thread, not watching a specific fight.]

Kuro let out an impressed whistle as the lightning boy beat the creeper. That wasn't to bad, but the fight showed for both that they had to improve one way or the other, but who could blame them? FOr students this had been mighty impressive, some weren't even able to properly produce a clone or transform into someone else. But Kuro din'T feel like he was in a position to talk, he himself had to improve aswell, this fight showed him how good the younger generations were, slacking off could have them surpass him in an instant.

He was kind of interested if anyone would call out or punish Maru for his behaviour, after talking about death and threatening to kill the boys mother, Kuro wasn't sure if he wouldn't even be kicked out of the academy. To Kuro it was funny, Maru had seemingly never had parents to care for him and he turned out like this, meanwhile Kuros parents even hurt and beat him up, but he was only mildly f'd up in his head compared to the puppet boy. Kuro amost felt bad for him, but made a mental note to note get in Marus way or that would end in a fight.

His thoughts were interrupted by the person next to him. Ziren. Unsure if he was crazy Kuro glanced over at the obviously blood hungry boy. What was up with him? Was that part of why he thought he was cursed, part of the boodline? Atleast it caused the guy to stop bugging him, but in turn something seemed wrong about him. Kuro narrowed his eyes as if he wanted to figure something out by staring at the guy. But, it turned out Ziren seemed to want to go right now, atleast that were his words, that and that he wanted to meet Kuro at Ichirakus later, interesting.

AFter sitting there for a ffew more minutes he decided to get up and look forward to his meeting with Ziren, Suyoshi was done anyways so he had no real business here anymore, although he'd come back tomorrow for round two.

Megu stood at the front of the crowd, focusing much more on the fights than the food that he still held. A quick shout escaped his lips every couple of minutes,

"Special offer! Special recipe! Want some snack? Come and get me!"

Although he barely turned his head to see if anyone was ordering, not that anyone really was anyway, the fight being much ore engrossing than what he had to offer. In fact he was so focused he sort of forgot to charge someone and walked off without taking the money from outstretched hands. As he set down his tray he shoved a couple of the sticks in his mouth, the spices making his mouth water before he'd even eaten them. The first rounds of fights were slowly coming to an end, but Megu was looking forward to what was to come, even if the kid with the coffin had been knocked down already.

These kids talked a good game, but they definitely need to work on their accuracy a bit more. Shiori needs to come watch this! He's missing a pretty good spectacle!

As he dodged his way through the crowd he heard cheers from the stand as fights continued. Picking up the pace he found himself back where Shiori was, preparing more of their meat.

"Hey! Shiori! Break time! The fights are actually pretty good, it's worth a watch. What you say? Leave the grill and come sell with me? And by sell I mean slack off and watch the match."

The last part he spoke quietly, his words accompanied by a conspiratorial wink.

"We've done pretty well this morning anyway and I'm sure some people will but in the stands anyway right? Plus you've just missed some kid who turned up with a coffin on his back fighting a lightening user!"

He waited eagerly for Shiori to make his decision, either following the boy back into the fray, or making his own way back regardless.

Shinzo watched on as the fight between Juko and Miyako drew to a close. His continual cheering seemed to have done the part as Juko had gained the victory over his opponent. As the fight came to an end Shinzo spun on his heels and began to run from the stands. He knew it was time to ready himself for what was yet to come.

Just after his fight he heard that Kouza's fight would begin immediately so without a seconds guess he would move up to the stands catching a seat near the edge. He'd notice some people in the crowd that congratulated him causing the boy to blush but he would humbly bow not giving himself credit but more so to his opponent for being strong enough to push him to his brink. Though he'd sit himself down looking out as Shinzo and Juko would begin their fight as well as Kouza, Juko would have had a bit to rest? He wasnt sure, but he would watch them both intently... Kouza to make sure he at least made it past this fight, and Juko versus Shinzo because he'd face the winner, "GANBATTE KOUZA!!!! FIGHTO!! GOO SHINZZOOO!!! GO PORRIDGE BOYYY!!!! FIGHTOOOO!!!", and he'd leave it at that as he would be seen hanging over the railing still in his tattered clothes from the fight.

Speaking of... where was his mother?
