Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

After an attempt to enter the village hidden in the clouds, Anatsu was rejected. At first, he thought about heading to Sunagakure like advised. However, he then decided to return. Anatsu had been through a lot. His life was an absolute mess for many months now, perhaps year if you considered what he went through back when he was in Konohagakure. His heart had shrunk to become darker than his attire. A deathly, pitch black traveling cloak protected him from the harsh weathers of travel. It was just low enough to hide his eyes but grant him the ability to still see. Ever since he had obtained the eternal light in his eyes, avoiding enemies had become increasingly difficult. Whether it may be people intimidated by him or people who simply wanted his eyes, he struggled to get by at peace. He wasn't one to look for trouble growing up. He was an ANBU of the Konohagakure village, he was used to be the one doing the hunting. Times had changed and his tables had turned. It was always funny how life did that to a man. The air was thin and muggy as rain poured down from the sky. It wasn't until he reached Kumogakure again that the rain began to slow down. The man traveled by foot and stopped immediately upon reaching the gates. He simply stood there, saying nothing. To many, they might find the black attire dark and intimidating. That wasn't his intention, but the shoe fit. Food, shelter, and work. These were all essential necessities of any human being. The conditions that Anatsu had endured up until this point were inhumane. He missed the glory days of Konoha. he had more money than he could ever spend. He did leave that all behind when he fled the village and he understood that but it was the price he needed to pay to remain alive. It was the life of a Nuke, a rogue that he chose. It was even worse than he imagined. It was a terrible experience, every day of his life. He needed to kill, or be killed. Kill, to survive. He was living the modern day survival of the fittest. The hunger games, and the odds were never in his favor. Would someone approach him?

Nari walks up to the gates, her older brother had forced her to take his duties today while he was going out on a date, what a bastard, forcing a poor student to be at the gates, dangerous people come to them, its no place for a child. And what would she know one was approaching, at least he looked dangerous, covered in a black cloak. Nari swallowed and made herself shown. "He..hello. Who are you?"

One of her many stints as a gate guard, today was like no other. The ANBU and Main branch shared the duty of guarding the magnificent entry into their great village, it was not to be taken lightly. Itsuki had noticed the man in black approached the gate, his wardrobe wet from the rain that had been pestering them that day. He was just standing there, and naturally that signaled suspicion. He had no mask, so he couldn't have been a member of the branch. Perhaps just some hermit or recluse was looking for a reprieve from the weather. She approached him behind the child, ready on her toes in case there was a weapon hidden in his cloak. What was a child doing here anyway? Itsuki would add another question onto Nari's. "And, is there something you needed?"

A shady looking man stood at the gates in the rain looking like a stray dog. The man had just recently attempted to enter the village. His method of trying to get them to let him in? To attack those who approached him. He had been kicked out and told not to return. Naturally, the first thing he did was come back. Ironically, Ayumu was at the gates that very moment giving the man's description to the guards on duty so that he would not be mistakenly let in. His description and a a depiction of his appearance would be distributed to all of the guards of both the Main and ANBU branches. He hadn't given them much time to do that before deciding to try again, apparently. A guard made mention that a cloaked man had approached the gates. Simply out of curiosity, Ayumu took a look to see who it was. The stature of the man looked quite familiar. 'It couldn't be...' he thought, hopping down from the top of the gates to approach and check, just to be sure.

Ayumu found that one of the guards had taken the initiative... that, and a young girl. 'What on earth?' Ayumu wondered as the girl asked who the man was. The ANBU asked another pertinent question as Ayumu got a glimpse of the cloaked one's face, verifying his identity. "Not sure you're gonna get a good answer for that one. I don't think he remembers, unless his memory has been refreshed since he lost it. I'm sure you've heard about it already, but this man is not to be permitted to enter," Ayumu said, folding his arms as he stood in the rain behind the ANBU. He turned to the young girl. "This is no place for you, you should head back to the village," he said with as friendly a voice as he could muster given that he was annoyed by the reappearance of a certain someone. He would let the ANBU handle this, but he was going to remain in case the rogue went off the deep end again. "This one's a Uchiha just so you know, avoid eye contact," Ayumu warned.

Yumeko made her way through the village in which she would eventually find herself at the gates of the village. She had recently came back to the village after wandering a short bit in the countryside and learning about a few things. As well as to all of that happening, she had also used her Judgement Gate for the first time, in which her appearance had changed, which meant that few, if any, people could tell that she was still Rakujo Yumeko.

As she arrived at the gate, she noticed four people at the gate, though one of them seemed to be a child, and another seemed to be coming in. She wore a green jacket, and a black skirt with short black leggings underneath her skirt. She was somewhat curious as to what happened, but for now, she would be observing what was going on, specifically.

It was him again. The gate shinobi that turned him down earlier. The initial thought process and smart thing to do was to walk away. However, Anatsu was not going for the smart move this time. Then again, this wasn't the same Uchiha from a few months back. This was a tormented, punished, seasoned, and trained assassin that had finally accepted his place in life. He was either to be killed, or kill. He was about to begin his destiny, or watch it crumble before his own eyes. This was where he made his stand. He was not looking for a fight; but the doors to kingdom come would split before him, he would be entering Kumogakure, His aura was burning with flares. There was a lot of confidence and evil accompanying his intimidating posture. A mere smile was visible to the Kumogakure shinobi. After Kogami Ayumu spoke, Anatsu began to laugh. He was laughing like a maniac, going on and on, and then immediately stopped.

"Open your gates fool." said the Uchiha, looking right at him.

Anatsu then turned his attention to the child. He smiled and reached his hand out to grab her head, then clitched his fist and put his hand back in his pocket, deciding not to touch the little brat. His attention turned to the gate again, once more with a smile on his face. He actually expected the gates to open. Perhaps deep down in the depth of his dark mind, he expected a red carpet to roll out as well. This was his moment and he felt like he had the whole world in the palm of his hands. It was as he intended, either the birth, or the death of his destiny beyond being a Konohagakure shinobi.

Oh she was gonna be in trouble. Her older brother didn't said more people would be around, it was stupid not to think more would show up, after all this was the gates, one guard wouldn't be enough, but she had been forced to be there against her will and now she was going to be in really deep trouble. Her real question was if she should protecting her brother or not, which seemed like if she did more trouble would fall on her.
Nari looked at the man in the black cloak and took a glance behind herself to see the ones that had approached, at least three shinobi had showed up and when she looked back at the man he was advancing towards her, demanding the gates to be opened for him as he laughed like a mad man. Nari started to slowly step back as the man quickly cut the distance between the two as his hand reached over to her head but stopped before it actually touched her and placed his hand back on his pocket. That made Nari not want to be there anymore and now professionals were there, they could handle it, right?
Nari turned her back at the man and quickly hide behind one of the shinobi that had arrived, Itsuki to be more precise. Even if she wanted to leave, she knew that running away and leaving would cause even more trouble as they would probably go after them after they finished dealing with the man so it would be in her best safety to actually stick around and wait for the whole thing to be done.

Outranked, so nothing to do.

Her sennin had arrived on the scene and informed her of information that she had been told. However given his cloak stature to had been hard for her to match the descriptions. This would need to be worked on or else she would never get promoted. Aside from that, she wasn't looking at his eyes to begin with but rather his hands; but Ayumu's advice didn't go on deaf ears.

The child, Nari, upon the arrival of the others and the approach by Anatsu, took refuge behind the masked woman. Somewhat surprising, but it didn't bother her. However, being in the situation meant she immediately began to think of ways to defend the poor thing and get her out of the way should the worst come to pass.

Itsuki did not take note of the newcomer Yumeko either, hopefully the sennin could work things out.

Ayumu stared at the hooded rogue as he smiled and began to laugh maniacally like a comic book villain. He sighed. 'This guy's fucked in the head clearly,' Ayumu thought. Combining his reports of amnesia and the way he was acting right now, demanding to be let in as if that was going to get him anywhere, seemed to make it pretty clear he had a few screws lose. Meanwhile, another girl approached and seemed to just be sticking around to watch. As the man stopped laughing and demanded to bet let in, the child appeared to barely escape being grabbed, running behind the ANBU Trainee where she hid rather than leaving as Ayumu told her to. Ayumu looked back to Anatsu who was awaiting his red carpet. "Oh are you done? Great. The answer is still no. We don't need a deranged vagabond to come in and attack our people like you've already done once. You're not going to be allowed passage, so I suggest you turn around and start walking to save yourself some time," Ayumu said, still standing like a statue with his arms crossed in front of him.

The last time the man had come to the gates he had attacked Kane and Ayumu as well as Hikari and Kahako once they had arrived. He clearly had no sense, so Ayumu wasn't going to put it past him to try to do so again. At the time, Ayumu had made effort to ensure the man wasn't killed because he wanted information. He no longer cared. "I've heard Stone Country is nice this time of year. Maybe they're more hospitable to your particular brand of crazy," he added, having absolutely no idea what Stone Country's weather was like this time of year. Truth be told, he didn't care what the man went as long as it wasn't back to these gates again.

Yumeko continued to stand where she had been standing in which she would soon hear the man who seemingly wanted to enter the village, though she had noticed that he turned his attention for a moment to the kid who had been there. She kept herself from moving any closer as she hadn't a clue onto what the man was like though after a few moments, she would hear the man that had arrived before she had.

As the man had spoken, mentioning that the answer to the man looking to enter the village was still a denial, as well as that they didn't need a deranged vagabond to come in and attack people like he seemingly had done so already, presumably at the gates.

Yumeko made no sound as she crossed her arms and watched everything that was happening in front of her.

"The next time I return, these gates will open for me. Mark, my, words."

The man of fire began to retreat. His destination was in fact, the hidden village that the ANBU had recommended. And perhaps he was also right, the weather was a lot better there. Kumogakure was cold around this time of the year. Anatsu was not ready to become to person he set out to be. There were too many guards here and not enough eyes for him to make his big splash. He would return, and when he did, Kumogakure would not be happy. Thunder roared in the sky as he disappeared into the darkness.

Most of the people around seemed to know the man as they told him to leave the gates and go somewhere else and the man did so, but he didn't seem happy to leave but no one would be happy if he stayed either, so it was probably for the best.
Nari stood behind the masked person and watched as the man turned away and walked off. She stood quietly and looked at the shinobi around her, knowing they would deal with her punishment now. She lowered her head and waited for their decision.

Ayumu watched, unamused, as the rogue shinobi promised that the next time he returned the gates would open for him. Ayumu decided to go ahead and take a snapshot with his ANBU technique, seeing as the man had been so kind as to return, then watched him leave. "Well, at least he had the good sense to not try anything stupid. Some part of his brain must still be functioning right," Ayumu said before turning to the trainee who was watching at the gates. "Be on the lookout for him. If he comes again, call me. Do not let him in under any circumstances," he said, making sure those guards who could hear him would be aware. He was going to need to finish giving the man's description to the rest of the guards so he could be put on the blacklist.

He looked at the young girl who had randomly shown up at the gates. Was she lost? Was she just out exploring, trying to have fun? Regardless, the gates were no hangout place for young children, or for anybody for that matter. "Kid, you need to head back into the village... the gates are not a playground," he said to her before looking back to Itsuki. "See that she makes it back inside please," he requested. "Now, I should get back to ensuring that man's description is available to the rest of the guards... good day!" he concluded, giving a nod at the two before returning to the gates to finish providing the information. He'd share his snapshot memory with a sketch artist to depict and distribute around the gates.

Itsuki nodded to her sennin and then tilted her head down at Nari. "Come on little one, this way. What were you doing at the gates?" she asked. It was a simple question, but the answer could have consequences, or perhaps just inquiry into why one so young was left there. It was a dangerous place: very easy to be kidnapped from.

Nari looked up at the woman, ready to follow any instruction she would be given and now she was being asked a question. "I..I was left here..my brother left me here and told me to wait until he got back." It wasn't completely true, but it wasn't completely wrong.

Itsuki looked to the girl with a frown, though the mask would hide her expression. "Hmmm. Troubling. You wouldn't happen to be able to provide me his name and branch? Or we could wait for him to return." she offered. The young ANBU in training would be putting in a report to his superior for his poor decision making skills, and perhaps making an inquiry into the decision itself.

Nari swallowed in as she looked at the masked woman. "His..his name is Shibiki Sen." She was going to hand over his brother, she knew he wasn't going to come back, he would probably return home and not even come to check on her, but this was the right thing to do, unless she wanted to take all the punishment but did she really want to put herself in that position, what would happen if she did, most likely nothing in her savor.

Itsuki crouched down and lifted her mask up, revealing bright white eyes and a sympathetic expression. "If your brother ever asks you to do this again, you tell him 'No!'. It's dangerous at the gates for you, and him asking you to do that was a bad choice. Now, run along." she said, putting her mask back in place. "Tell your brother to expect a summons within 24 hours." she concluded and then blurred out of vision, gone from sight.

As Yumeko stood where she had stood, her arms staying crossed, she had listened and watched as the man had soon walked away from the gate when he was told there was no way for him to enter the village. She would then watch as one of the people who had arrived before she did had spoken to the two others after the original man had turned his back to the village. She watched as the other three in the area, which had soon been two other as the man who turned away the man who seemed to want to enter.

Though as the last two who had stayed longer, which one had recently left after talking to the youngest one, seemingly anyway, would most likely leave to head somewhere, probably home or somewhere safe. She didn't know much about any of the peoples lives so she only presumed the kid had a relatively safe home, aside from what seemingly was an older brother.

Yumeko shrugged ever so slightly and started to head back into the village as she continued to think about what was on her mind a bit for the passed few weeks.

Nari nodded her head as the woman told her what to do, inform her brother to expect a summon. She knew that she was going to get trouble from either way, either from her brother's part or from the others. "I..I will tell him and I..will try to stand my ground." She knew she had to gather the strength to stand up for her brother and this was an example of what could happen if she kept doing what he told him, who knew what else he would make her do if she became a genin or higher, he would probably get him to do more dangerous things for him.

Everyone else had left the site, or at least returned to her posts and for Nari it was best for her to leave as well, get away from the gates as she had managed to escape whatever punishment she could have gotten from the situation. Hopefully she would leave with some confidence or at least a bigger fear from those above her brother, fear that could fill her with enough strength to refuse and fight her brother.
