Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

On the edge of the Aurora Eruditio could be found predominantly residential districts, and those were mainly filled with shinobi families. The location no accident of course, being closer to the academy helped the practicing shinobi perform their duty of giving back to the village by taking classes with the proximity, and families meant that their children could attend class easier, as well as any after school activities like ninja ball, and assassination practices.

It was in one of the classes however where a group of shinobi were being gathered.

They weren't here for classes, to teach or be taught, it was after hours and they were mainly from a group within the Main Branch that dealt with minor threats. They were like a smaller, less well known version of the ANBU, there to perform a similar job, and frequently ended up crossing swords with the ANBU, but they existed because the ANBU couldn't keep their eyes on everything.

The leader of the group assembled was a small man, short and slender, but a powerful shinobi and one who had proven himself as a solid leader in matters such as this. He was intelligent enough, but mainly his strength had to do with making decisions quickly. His name was Keido, he was of the Saito clan and his eyes testified to his bloodline.

His pick of shinobi this day numbered five total including himself. It was a large quantity, but they were going to be taking out what they believed to be a poison manufacturing facility. Poison itself wasn't illegal for the villages use in the shinobi corps, however this group were selling to civilians, which was an illegal act. Manufacturing it without a license was also illegal, as the village kept tabs on this kind of activity as a means of stopping the abuse of the civilians. All shinobi had their poison quantities monitored by the medical branch, any changes in quantity had to be substantiated by the shinobi using them. They weren't for general consumption.

As they were dealing with poisons Keido had decided it would be prudent to bring along a shinobi of the medical branch, when he investigated who would be a good person to bring it became apparent that Junko was the name which stuck out the most often. He had been training with Akira, a personal hero of Keido's, and was well versed in combat as well as medical practices. He wouldn't slow them down, and would provide them with the knowledge they needed for Keido to make the judgement calls that needed to be made.

The team milled around silently, Junko among them, as Keido used the Snapshot jutsu to create a 3d image of the building they would be storming.

Your attention please. He said, his voice stern, demanding the attention he requested.

This building is suspected to be producing illegal poisons for public consumption on a large scale. We have found evidence leading us here, but without infiltrating it we can't know for certain. Tonight under the cover of darkness we will be performing that infiltration. Team, this is Junko, he is a Medical Chief and will be assisting us on this mission. It is his job to confirm or deny the production of poisons. He and I will infiltrate the building together through the window above the balcony. From observation it looks like it leads into a bathroom, we will then move cautiously from there into the rest of the building to investigate what is being produced.

If there is nothing and this report was incorrect we will attempt to leave without being noticed and the mission will be cancelled. If however there are poisons being produced here we will move into a full fledged assault. We will arrest all occupants, Junko and I will begin the process from the inside, there will be people who flee which is where the three of you come in. You are all to take positions on the rooftops of nearby buildings in a triangle and are to take down anyone who attempts to flee as they do so.

When I say as they do so I mean immediately as they attempt to exit the doors. I want to create a sort of panic with this action. They will have the two of us inside performing the same, so use binds which create barriers around the targets. This way others attempting to exit will potentially come back our direction. As we don't know how many are inside this will hopefully mean that more time will be bought, allowing us to capture all inside. After this has been achieved we will hand them over to the ANBU for processing as is standard procedure.

Any questions?

After receiving a call and requested by family of Akira-sama, Junko took the job without any real thought. Especially as it connected with the medical branch. A group of individuals were trying to make a fool of the medical corps it seemed. In addition, they were spreading corruption through the streets of kumogakure. The place where shinobi families and non-shinobi civilians lived out their days expecting for the overall village within the gates to be kept safe.

The act being carried out was disgraceful indeed, but it would soon come to an end as the proper team was gathered to put a stop to it all. Being debriefed while analyzing the territory and 3D building, a plan had already been formulated that was waiting for execution. Saito Keido made things simple. His planing was very intelligent and the infiltration was planned to be smooth.

Any questions?

Everyone seemed quiet and ready to go, but Junko would have only a few questions before heading out. Mainly for confirmation. "Do we have information on who leads this illegal operation? and based on the information gathered, this is their location for distribution correct?" Junko would ask for clarification. IF the second answer was no, Junko ready up and take his position with keido. IF the second answer was yes, he'd follow up with a suggestion.

"Before, or as we infiltrate. We could give them one or two "customers" with the use of my paths. That way, we'd have things confirmed before moving in for an assault. Lastly, already being on the inside with the ability to surprise doesn't sound half bad."

Looking at the strategy, it didn't seem bad. Especially with his paths hidden rinnegan. in addition, his paths held no form of bloodline to be detected. Working and strategizing with Keido-san, this mission could be perfectly executed. At the same time, it would be foolish to think no bumps could possibly occur.

Keido nodded as he listened to the questions being asked. The others in the room listened and then looked to Keido for an answer.

We don't know who leads this operation, hopefully by taking it down without warning we will gain intel which will help with that. I'm also unsure on whether this is their location for distribution.

He realised he was going to have to explain the operation to Junko, the guy was asking questions which he was due the answers of, but that he'd rather not have needed to explain. The issue was that this was the first time Junko had taken part in one of these missions, also he wasn't a member of the team so he hadn't taken part in the missions and investigations which had led to this.

Holding up an open hand to the others they nodded and milled around talking with each other as a group of friends might do. Some more nervously than others, readying themselves for the mission ahead.

Turning to Junko Keido continued The evidence we have that this might be the location for manufacturing was in part by accident. A month ago we had come across a murder, rape, kidnapping. The way we've reconstructed it is this. A friend of one of the team had recently returned home, on arrival he went to say goodnight to his daughter and caught a kidnapper in action. A fight broke out and he chased the kidnapper into the night. What he didn't realise was that the kidnapper had a friend who went into the house and kidnapped this mans wife.

We followed the two trails and they both ended in the same location. We believe that the first kidnapper was fighting with this shinobi when the second turned up. The shinobi was either then overwhelmed or perhaps he gave up hoping his wife and daughter would be safe. He was then taken to another location, we had an Inuzuka member trail the scent, and found two sets of internals. Bones, muscle, organs. We can't tell what happened but we believe there's a rogue human puppet around, which also explained why we couldn't find any fingerprints, any scent, anything to identify the two kidnappers.

In the building we found nothing, it was an abandoned house owned by a shinobi family who had died many years earlier. Father had died on mission, mother suicided, son has been assumed dead for five years.

We don't know what happened to the young girl. We followed her scent in the hope to find her, what we found was a location filled with cages. Our Inuzuka tracker couldn't identify her scent among the rest, but we did find evidence of an individual. We located this individual who was high on poisons at the time and got him to talk. He told us of this location. We haven't yet handed all of this over to the ANBU as we want to check the sources lead first. The ANBU hate it when we give them unchecked intel.

[OOC: I'll assume that the second thing you typed as questions wasn't asked]

Not being a part of the team, it was apparent that Junko needed to be brought up to speed on the current operations transpired. Chit chat flowed through the room as Junko played the events through his head as Keido spoke.

* Murder, rape, kidnapping...
* Two kidnappers...
* 2 dead...
* Daughter missing...
* No traces found...
* Potential rogue human puppet...
* Individual high off poisons...
* Checking/handling Intel ...

Human Puppet Kinjutsu Knowledge/Brief notes

- Targeting limbs have little to no effect
- Body fills with traps and poisons that are easily maneuvered
- Puppet string technique
- Forbidden medical Practice rumor to create some sort of hybrid puppet people. (Path similarities)
- Assumed Weakness: Chakra damage

Raising a brow, Junko simply nodded. He was officially caught up and took mental notes. Applying the notes to the current situation, something didn't quite sit right. "This could very well be a trap. For individuals that's been moving without a trace, they'd make such a sloppy mistake to have someone that'll talk? Or can actually be found?" Junko said speaking one on one with Keido amongst the voices in the room. It wasn't to spark doubt, but awareness between the two.

"If we are dealing with a human puppet, we must get steps ahead as soon as possible. Can't let them "pull the strings." Also, I'll definitely check the registered kinjutsu files at the hospital. If we find a human puppet and they're not on the list. Well, that's an offense right there and they deserve questioning." Junko said with a nod and smirk. "trap or not, I'm still prepared to take this mission with my brothers in arms. Let's do this, I have paths we can utilize as well." Junko said following up with a spartan hand shake. A handshake representing brotherhood and battle unity.

If nothing else was said or planned, he'd simply wait until nightfall when the operation would begin. From there, he'd be at Keido's side, ready to infiltrate.

You think too highly of individuals who would spend their hard earned yen on a few moments of happiness and hours of feeling like crap. If they were so smart they wouldn't be taking whatever these guys are manufacturing... if the intel is correct that is, and if it isn't then we hand the individual over to the authorities for possession and abuse.

So it was decided, they would make their move... the additional bodies of Junko would come in handy to help create the chaos they so desired.

They made their way to the location immediately. Cover of night wasn't an issue, but rather simply being careful and taking their time setting up was the key.

As they were moving into location they noticed a young adult male enter the house. There was at least one person inside then. They moved and one by one got into position. Once the three external shinobi were in position it was time for Junko and Keido to make their move.

They moved quickly to the balcony, Keido signaled to pause. He wanted to make sure they hadn't been heard and so they would wait for a few minutes.

Making their way to the the location under the cover of darkness, They were doing what ninjas do. You know...the sneaky tip toe shit so they're not heard. From what Junko could tell, everyone was taking their time to move into position so everything could be properly executed as planned.

Before infiltration, a young adult male was noticed entering the building. Reaching the balcony, Junko continued to follow Keido's lead. Coming to a stop upon his signal, all they could do was wait in silence. The only question was... What would this night unfold?

As they watched they noticed a shadow moving out from the balcony onto the roof.

Keido activated his byakugan and took a look.

Shit... I think they might be onto us. Quick, lets make our move! He said looking to Junko before dashing out (assuming Junko's ready to move as well). The person on the roof seemed to be writing something, the paper then folded into a plane and shot off.

I'll get whatever that was, you get the kid! he said quickly, his feet pushing off against the side of the building and launching himself after the small projectile.

[OOC: I'll let you roleplay how the interaction/fight between you and the person of the roof goes for the most part. I'll change anything I feel I need to change with my following post :)]

Watching a shadow moving out from the balcony onto the roof, Junko eyes lowered in annoyance. He was a fool to think this was going to be a piece of cake.

Shit... I think they might be onto us. Quick, lets make our move!

Dashing out using his Seikon speed attempting to be undetected, Junko began a few base hand-signs.

I'll get whatever that was, you get the kid!

"Already on it." Junko said bluntly as he gave a small nod. Utilizing his molded chakra of earth and lightning, the space around Junko's hands began to pulse with the execution of his final hand-sign. Extending a hand to concentrate on the target, Junko could feel his gravitational claws reach out like a net to swallow his young prey. Lifting and drawing back with swiftness, the child would feel the breathtaking pressure of Junko's Gravity jutsu as they were being pulled in.

Following up with another gravity jutsu with the use of extra chakra, Junko used the gravity around the child as a bind. A bind designed to make the individual helpless as the force around them would make it hard to breathe, let alone move. Looking to Keido, he'd give a moment of opportunity to speak or possibly question the individual, but IF it was decided to get rid of him at any point, Junko would execute his final blow.

Raising a single hand, Junko would raise a base hand sign to the individuals chest. Punching with the strength of a bull, the blow would be Infused with a huge amount of gravitational energy. Enough to put the lad out could and possibly sprain a single limb.

The boy atop the roof spotted their approach and as Keido launched at the paper plane it seemed that the boy had begun moving towards it as well, his arm lifted and out shot hundred more of them, using them to try and hide the original.

He had jumped off of the roof by the time Junko used his jutsu, leaping off the roof after him. The fall was uncontrolled and he fell heavily. If someone was inside close to that side of the building they would have heard that. Junko had lept after him though, knowing that it was too late, but that perhaps the situation could be saved by reducing the potential problem this could cause.

Junko's hand slammed into the boys chest and rendered him unconscious.

But there was movement to be heard inside, then voices.

Keido landed beside him, a piece of paper crushed in his hand he cast it to the ground beside the boys head.

Damn it. Get in there Junko! It wasn't a negative to Junko, but rather a curse at things not going according to plan and needing to issue orders quickly.

They moved in the plan would work... there would be one person who would give Junko a particularly hard fight. He would look like the guy in the image below.

The boy just haaaaaad to be a squirmer. Shaking his head as the boy jumped off the roof, Junko could already see things about to go bad. Landing heavily, the boy alerted the enemy immediately.

Appearing In front of the young risk factor, Junko briefly gazed into the Childs eyes before he struck. As the air was pushed out the Childs body, he slowly dropped to the ground. "My apologies." Junko whispered before Keido made his way down in frustration. By how he threw the paper, he probably wished he was the one that hit the kid.

Picking the little one up as things began to get louder, Junko stepped back a few steps to have the child out of harms way. Coming out of the trees, two of Junko's paths landed beside Keido.

"Damn it. Get in there Junko!

Hearing the order, Junko entered with his spiritual and earthborn path swiftly. Just as quickly as they entered, the sound of commotion raised and the battle had begun.

Keeping things hand to hand, Junko didn't want to kill anyone. He simply wanted these guys put down and locked away. Observing their illuminating chakra flames, they didn't all seem strong. In fact, only one seemed to stand out. He stood off in the back, allowing his henchmen to do the work like sacrificial pawns. Surprisingly, he wasn't using them for a chance to escape.

The sound of a swinging chain could be heard as it was swung, ripping through the wind in preparation to attack. Light danced off two miniature blades as two men held them trembling at the thought of what was about to go down. Lastly, the last thug seemed unarmed and wasn't nervous at all. Overall, it was a peculiar group, but they would all have to face the same fate.

"KILL THEM!!!"

Listening to the order, the men charged blindly. No form could be seen with any sense of balance, held no confidence in their movements, resulting in weak attacks.

Spiritualist

Encountering the double blade rush, Junko carefully utilized distance to take a few steps back, allowing the thugs to flail during their attacking. Immediately viewing two openings, Junko blocked at the elbow of one attacker and caught the wrist of the second. Twisting the wrist in a manor it's not suppose to be twisted of course, a rippling cracking sound could he heard followed by a grown man's screams.

Holding onto the wrist as the first thug continued to swing, further cracks could be heard. Giving a quick round house aimed at the man's hand to serve as a disarmament, the knife was dropped. Shifting his balance with a small rotation, a spinning back kick was delivered directly into the man's stomach, sending him flying through a nearby window to where keido and Junko was. In addition, the sound of guns shots began to sound off through the building.

1zbdlli.png

Earthborn

As the chain was swung poorly, it took less than a step to realize the guys opening. The chain was his weakness itself and Junko would take full advantage. Using a few hand signs before grabbing the chain mid swing, Junko watched as the last thug was reaching into his coat pocket. Pulling the chain with intense force, the thug was snatched along with the chain, sending him crashing through a separate window similar to his friend.

As the hidden weapon was revealed, Junko was about to move in to cripple the man as soon as possible. Unfortunately, he couldn't move his earthborn path at all. His body had become stunned. Stuck, Junko could only move his eyes. Surprisingly, his spiritual path had suffered the same fate. Caught in a bind, the medic was staring face to face with a gun at his head. Pulling the trigger, several shots were let off and several holes were put through a log as Junko's path exploded and revealed to be a substitution.

Dropping from the shadows, Junko delivered a solid punch to the shadow possessor, causing the jutsu to be interrupted. Unsheathing his blade, Junko prepared for the bigger fish to fry.

Showdown

After being released from the shadow binding jutsu, Junko used his spiritualist path to make quick work of the last thug with the gun. Disarming him with speed, Junko delivered several critical basic blows at major joints, crippling the enemy to the point he couldn't lift his arms. Giving him a final chop to the back of the neck, the lad fell unconscious. Tossing the last two thugs out the building to be rounded up like the rest, both paths were now focused on the main course.

Another blade could be heard being unsheathed as Junko's spiritualist path prepared for what was about to commence. Two blades held against one man and he held a smirk as he wiped blood from his lip as he stood to his feet.

Slapping his hands together, a huge amount of chakra pressure was released. The floor began to slightly crack as the force pushed both Junko's paths back slightly. As the mysterious Nara formulated and executed hand-signs, a pulse of darkness eluded from his pores. Shadows began to ooze from the cracks beneath his feet, spreading more rapidly than a wild fire. Upon evaluation, the Nara was taking in darkness just as fast as he was spreading it.

In a matter of moments, the room had gone black like a one color makeover. It was a dimension of pure shadows, separating Junko from any outside help. The fact still remained though, it was two against one. Those odds were good.

Shadow threads sprouted from the dimension, leaving no time for Junko to take in the change of scenery to adjust. Let alone react efficiently. Two threads pierced his spiritualist path. Once at the leg and the other at the shoulder. Despite the hit, the experience allowed Junko to react more properly with his earthborn path. Blades clashed with the threads to block them off as the Nara continued to use more shadow tricks. Shadow hands emerged, aimed at Junko's Spiritualist path.

"Ugh.. what a pain." Junko thought in annoyance. The guy wasn't going down easy, but he had to go down. An enormous white light erupted from Junko's spiritualist path, slightly blinding the Nara, and disrupting the shadow jutsu. Beginning to move in, the Nara pulled out his own blade to defend himself.

giphy.gif

Clashing, Junko used his paths to attack from all sides. Attack after attack, the man managed to defend himself well within the shadow dimension as if he wasn't even partially blind. He swung with intense force, but couldn't truly play offensive due to the continuous assault that came his way. Just like his men though, he had openings. Luckily, Junko had two pairs of eyes to utilize to actually see the openings.

b5e6906a20e73ef18eeadfa0875dc9d97d85820f_hq.gif

Using both paths for a frontal straightforward attack, the Nara thought it was going to be an easy counter. At least until Junko switched to perpendicular positions at the time of the Nara's reaction and by then, he was too late. Critically struck twice at the same time immediately brought him to his knees. Turning his blade to himself, he was stopped by a stab to his back from Junko's earthborn path using a disruption rod to the Nara's spinal column. Immediately dropping the blade, the Nara fell unable to properly move, but only groan in pain until he passed out.

The darkness soon began to fade, letting light in from the Windows first, causing Junko to shield his paths eyes. Picking the Nara up using his Earthborn path, he was thrown over Junko's shoulder. Emerging from the darkness, the fight was done.

It seemed that the intel had been good, and as the combat ended, the bodies of the bound and unconscious were piled up outside.

Keido had a smile on his face. Although things hadn't gone completely according to plan he had brought along the right people to get the job done, and that was often the difference between something like this getting out of control and being successful.

Thank you for your help. He said to Junko, holding his hand out to shake the other shinobi's Akira judged you well. It was as strong a compliment that Keido felt he could give. Things hadn't gone perfect certainly, but Junko had managed the combat side of things better than Keido thought anyone else in the squad could have.

The boy who had been knocked unconscious at the start stirred, his mask still attached to his face.

Masks like that were normally issued to ANBU trainees, but this didn't mean anything. Keido could summon one similar to it without effort.

Sorry kid. You couldn't warn your allies. We got you all. He said with confidence, and a smile.

Then the soft sound of footfall landed around them, surrounding the group in larger numbers.

As Keido turned a lightning bolt went through his spine. Shit. Was all he could think as he noticed all the expressionless masks of the ANBU corps.

One man stepped forward, red hair exploding out the back of the mask, his voice betrayed his age.

What the fuck is going on here. It wasn't said like a question, more a semi-amused, slightly frustrated statement.

The next member of a tracer team comes to take his turn watching a tail, and spots an unconcious member of his team next to a house being invaded by kisses. It was a derogatory term used by some members in ANBU for KSIS, the spymasters of the main branch.

How were we t... Keido began, before he was cut off by a loud, and this time very aggressively toned ANBU Commander.

BECAUSE HE HAD A FUCKING MASK ON YOU FUCKING MUNTER. The ANBU said pointing to the trainee. A laugh broke out from a member of the ANBU, white hair braided atop an almost feminine body, but clearly male, the laughter gaining everyone's view due to it being so out of place. The ANBU, shoulders still moving as he stifled his chuckle waved a hand and shook his head.

Jesus Saito... The man said, exasperation now in his voice.

Look. You know we can't share with you everything we're doing, just as how you didn't share this operation with us. What on earth were you doing anyway?

We had reports of this being a poison manufacturing facility.

Oh by Bishamon's sweet embrace, please tell me this wasn't about fucking poison. Do you... you ruined... I... fuck you. The ANBU said shaking his head and turning to walk away, through Keido, though his mask now looked at Junko.

What do you think you're looking at hot lips? He said, his hand now blatently pushing Keido out of the way, the young Saito gritting his teeth, his hands balling into fists as one of the other members of the team moved over to place a hand on his shoulder, whispering the words it's not worth it. Into the Keido's ear, but facing towards Junko, hoping that the main would read what was being said. The ANBU standing between the two.

[Junko - Mission successful. The building was taken down, the occupants arrested.

Kumori - Mission unsuccessful. The man being trailed by ANBU has now been arrested, the trail effectively now going cold.

Please continue to post in here, or leave if desired.]

The job was done and everything was successful. Bodies laid unconscious and Junko stood victorious with the child still in hand as a burning herbal cig sat between his lips.

"Thank you for your help. Akira judged you well. "

"Thank you. Akira is part of the reason I've grown so much. In and out of battle." Junko said before looking down at the boy in his arms. He was starting to move again as Junko was pumping a healing jutsu into his body as he held him.

Sorry kid. You couldn't warn your allies. We got you all.

Observing the masked kid, their was something about his chakra, but Junko couldn't quite put a finger on it. He definitely couldn't focus on the kid when a swat team landed around them in a blink of an eye.

Unbothered by the numbers or quick entrance, Junko held a deadly cold blunt stare as he observed the bullying. Keido was strong, he could take it, but their was no need for the negativity. No branch was better than the other to Junko, but watching the ANBU operate made Junko slightly annoyed. Hopefully they didn't think they were untouchable. Especially when they were the branch with the most holes. Holes easily exploited that has created chaos in the village.

ANBU getting paid off at the gates, Corruption to kill each other during shins death, and the list simply went on.

What do you think you're looking at hot lips?

Unbothered by the man's remark as he approached, Junko simply stared. After being trained by a previous ANBU captain, lead under the Sentou Henka division, and simply loving the battlefield more than anyone else. Their wasn't much the ANBU could say or do to get to Junko. If anything, they should've known about Junko enough outside the mask to at least be hesitant, but perhaps they felt safe in numbers.

Either way, Junko wasn't Keido. If the approaching individual tried to give Junko the same fate as Keido, all hell would break loose. Exhaling a huge amount of smoke, it would surely hit the mask of the ANBU operative. "Strong people don't put people down. They lift people up." Junko said as his spiritualist path went to Keido's aid as he waited for the child to wake up.

Junko blew smoke towards the ANBU's face before saying something about strong people that the ANBU Captain didn't care about. The smoke hadn't reached him before Junko would hear the reply whispered into his ear.

Sounds like something the weak would say. The voice said in a hushed voice.

Turning towards his men he waved his finger in the air, signalling it as time to head out.

Fucking main branch. He said as his parting words.
