Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

I know they automatically come with gaining an advance element the normal way but I would just like to record my minor affinities with vapor and shadow just to have them here and approved.

Osuteno stared at the kunai and shuriken that littered his desk. They had gathered dust sitting unused his bag and he knew that would continue to be the case. He was much more adept with his blood than he would ever be with these pieces of steel. It would do him more good to focus on his ninjutsu studies to increase his aptitude with his current weapon, his blood, than practicing with these bits of metal.

To prove a point to himself he made a kunai out of his blood and stabbed the steel variety on the table, breaking one of the few things that didn't tie him to his clan, and felt all the more tired for it. What little strength he had wasn't his own but belonged to the Chigokai and the centuries of practiced eugenics. Very little of himself was him alone and now there was one less thing. He wasn't foolish enough to take the less efficient path to hold onto something simply because he wanted to be different from his cousins. He would just have to find something else that might allow him to have his own achievements.

Osuteno, as a person, might be a bit hard on himself from time to time. Any self perceived failure on his part that he believed could have been prevented draws many apologies from him and gnaws at him until he takes measures to make sure it doesn't happen again. On that same turn if he thinks of a hypothetical situation where he would be relatively unable to meet his own standards of helpfulness he does the same. He must always have a filter for water and be prepared to make tea in any weather. He makes sure to keep medicine bottles unlabeled but make his system easy enough for allies to remember should the need arise. He must carry multiple ways to signal an emergency. He must have emergency rations for one person for a month or a week for four people. He had emergency sets of winter clothes in waterproof containers. He had a few traps, mostly nonlethal, ready for deployment should the need arise. He had emergency funds hidden about his person and possessions in multiple currencies. He even kept a medical ward active on his person at all times. For Osu, life was about preparing for inevitable failures and making sure they didn't get out of hand.

Inside the mental library Osu and Uso glared at each other from opposite sides of a table. Resting between them were a number of books on jutsu theory and several sheets of paper with formula and notes that, if one knew what Kiyoji's Paradox was referring to without context, would inform the reader that they were studying creation jutsu. Kiyoji's Paradox was focused around the near impossibility for a person to maintain more than one self acting golem, homunculus, or whatever name people used to refer to the creatures created by this classification of jutsu. It wasn't a matter of one's ability to multitask or the amount of chakra one possessed that created this limitation, but a question of one's strength of will over whatever force they infused these constructs with that allowed them to act on this plane. Of all the varieties of jutsu, creations were among the most occult, though most didn't realize that.

This line of research began as an idle thought from Uso while she insulted Osu concerning his repetitive questions over her existence and his own sanity, when she had said, "I even have a natural affinity for fire that you don't have! You can only use shadow jutsu because I assist you and I can only use vapor because you assist me, will I have to beat you to the ground again just to get it through your head that I am real?"

Before Osu retorted though, the two appeared to have been simultaneously struck by the words of Uso assisting him and vice versa. And so they came to a simple question. What would happen if they tried to summon different things simultaneously? As far as the two of them could tell through their studies the simplest answer was the best guess as to how they would go about it. Whoever was riding backseat would pull whatever on whatever force was used to bind one construct while whoever was captaining would do the same for another construct as well as focus the chakra for both techniques. It did really turn out to be a case of simple enough to think of and say, but a whole other thing to actually pull off.

Osu and Uso took turns failing to pull the technique off correctly and growing more frustrated with one another as time wore on. More than once they ended up making horribly disfigured things that simply seemed to be in pain while they fell apart and sapping themselves dry of chakra. Actually they did this more times than either was comfortable with. As far as they knew the constructs were not actually actually capable of thought much less feeling pain, but it still wasn't a very pleasant sight.

After first few days of adjusting their methods, going back over the theories, trying to strangle each other and slamming their heads into the tables, they thought of a different approach. The main issues they were dealing with were whoever was in control of the body was only capable of one set of hand seals at once, and that whoever wasn't driving couldn't channel chakra. No amount about "clever tricks" or attempts to bend the rules resulted in anything but strange useless things that had, at the very least, the appearance of being in great pain. There was one thing that someone inside the library was able to do though.

Inside the library there were two items in particular they never seemed able to run out of, ink and paper. So it was that the pair worked for another two weeks to create a jutsu scroll for the Steel Dragon taijutsu. They chose to start with this one in particular since it didn't have the extra complication of requiring hand seals to perform and due to the fact they had no idea how to go about making a scroll for these sorts of techniques to begin with. They had devised one jutsu that incorporate scroll work before but it worked in a completely different fashion as it was a selective storing scroll. This on the other hand was their attempt to focus a second creation technique by siphoning the chakra flow of a different jutsu that drew animation into a lifeless construct. A small mistake required them to start all over (sparking more than one tooth and nail fight) and each time they thought they were close it became obvious that they needed to start over anyway because they needed to add more layers of complexity. Eventually it got to the point there the technique scroll they were designing was several meters in diameter with a lot of small print. It was pretty heartbreaking work. It had nearly been three weeks from when they started this project when the two of them stood side by side looking at a complete scroll. They were too tired and wary to be excited though. If they needed to carry the thing around physically and it wasn't simply stored in their mind it would have been too large and delicate to ever be usable. No what they were really concerned about was whether their theories were correct. If even a single thing was off this wouldn't work and it may even just spend unnecessary chakra.

Osu left the library and woke up. It was the dead of the night but lately his sleep schedule was irregular anyway. He left the estate, nodding to the guards on his way out, and went to the forest training grounds. A few clearings he passed had some older shinobi practicing in them but neither he nor they made any attempt to interact. People didn't train this late because they wanted to socialize. He finally came to a clearing they was far away from anyone else as far as he could tell. It would be done here. He hoped it would be done here. He stood in the middle of the clearing and a bloody set of wings, far to heavy to ever consider flying with, sprung from his back. He breathed in deeply, inhaling the freezing night air. "Are you ready?"

Inside Osu's noggin, Uso sat at the corner of the library where they had laid out the scroll and bit her thumb. She clasped her hands together and pressed them into two black circles the were close to where she sat. "Preparations complete."

Osu began forming the hand seals for the Ebony Nightmare jutsu, with Uso helping him mold the shadow chakra but he also drew much more chakra than he normally would. Inside their mind the blood came away from Uso's hands and quickly traced along all the lines on the scroll while drawing from the flow of chakra moving through Osu's body. The blood then vanished as if absorbed by the ink. Back outside, the bloody wings on Osu's back expanded and grew, stretching further and further upwards as if he were going to attempt to take off. As the wings slammed downwards, gallons upon gallons of blood flew upward with the wings forming the shape of a terrifying creature of myth. At the same time the bloody creature's shadow tore itself from the ground in great thrashes, having the same exact shape but pure black except for red eyes and a feeling of something... wrong. Osu frowned and so did Uso. They had succeeded... mostly. There were several immediate observations. The first was that it had taken the same amount of time it normally took the shadow dragon to create both of them, which was better than expected. What was not what they had been hoping for was that the Bloody "Steel Dragon" was much smaller than normal. They could also assume it was weaker than normal. The shadow dragon however appeared to be at full strength. The greatest concern was that for a couple seconds Osu's body lost the feel for chakra momentarily, just for a couple seconds. He would be able to move, but he wouldn't be able to accomplish much more aside from dodging. That would be important to keep in mind. Perhaps enough trainings would minimize the effect, though he doubted they would be able to train it away entirely.

Regardless, they succeeded, if not as spectacularly as they had hoped. Considering all they learned it would likely only take them a week tops to figure out how to prepare a different scroll for the next creation technique, and less for the one after that.

Osuteno thudded his head lightly into the table as he continued to fail with genjutsu. Uso's mockery of this failure in the background of his mind being a constant reminder of how much he hated her didn't assist him in making any progress. Not that Uso was really all that better than he was with genjutsu. It was simply too... loose for him to get a firm grasp on it. There was too much freedom in the invisible beams or flashes of chakra for him to really do anything properly with them, at least by the standards he used to judge his control over blood. Annoyingly it was Uso who made the connection first while they were down in the morgue. Uso was poking at a brain with a small electric prod, much to Osu's distaste, to demonstrate her point.

"Now sure we don't really have access to electricity or sodium to stimulate a brain in this particular way, but this is the best way to get some practice at this since we can't exactly request a living person's brain to stab at. We do know from some more fun loving and certainly more free medical specialist in the past that directly poking at the brain can cause involuntary reactions in a living person's body. What I am proposing is that we take our direction of genjutsu in a different direction. First, by either sending our blood into the other person's body or using blood we injected previously, we make manipulations to both their brain and whatever the related parts of the body to help encourage the illusion. for instance if we want someone to think they are drowning we would stimulate both the lungs and this part of the brain... here." As Uso poked with the prod where she pointed the chest seemed to tighten up.

Inside the brain library Osu sat observing, obviously not liking Uso playing with the corpse but nodding as he understood where she was going with this. Genjutsu itself wasn't physical enough itself for either of them to feel in control using. If they could observe who the brain on body reacted while under a genjutsu they could probably use direct manipulation to cause the same effect. Luckily for them there was pretty good observation devices in the hospital and no short amount of doctors who would be willing to put their names on the research paper.

Less than a day later three other mednin were fully on board with going about this experiment, much to Osu's surprise, but Uso had been sure of this result from the start. They even had to turn people away. Two of the mednin, selected both for their willingness to be test subjects and the lack of any decent research papers coming from them lately, were strapped side by side to a number of monitoring devices displayed on two different screens. The third doctor, selected for her ability with genjutsu since Kitsune sensei was busy, looked down a checklist of genjutsu. It would be the order they would be proceeding with, with either of their test subjects aware of either what they would be experiencing or the order.

How they proceeded was that test subject A would be put under a genjutsu by the normal means. Uso, since this was her idea, would then observe who subject A's body reacted on the monitoring device and would try to physically force those same reactions on subject B. The goal was to see if subject B experienced roughly the same illusion as subject A. After 3 hour of testing and breaks the results were not as promising as they hoped. Only one category of genjutsu seemed compatible with this method, which unsurprisingly was the kinetic subtype, mostly due to it having the greatest amount of physical reactions and thus was more consistently successful.

For his very small size Osuteno was rather quick, both in body and in mind. So much so in fact that his nicknames that referred to his more rabbit like nature were becoming more popular. It was one reason his was a favorite in a "slow day at the hospital so we are going to race"... race. After a moderate amount of peer pressure and the convincing argument of it being training, Osu agreed to participate. Each contestant was given a healing dummy and a wheelchair. The object of the race was to push the wheelchair as fast as they could with their healing dummy passenger to various checkpoints around the hospital. Upon reaching the final checkpoint they would draw an illness out of a box at random and fill out the paperwork properly to "admit their patient" and the first to charge their healing dummy to full health would win. The entire course going back and forth through the checkpoints and would involve stairs, elevators, and a good number of obstacles... Including senior staff who might disapprove of this little activity... And the janitorial staff, but that was a whole different story.

At the starting line were seven people. A couple nurses, an orderly who wanted to try his luck, a few mednin including Osu, and old man Jienkenzu who apparently had been a patient so long that he picked up some medical jutsu. They all waited patiently while the nurse with the "flag" was speaking on their headset with a security guard. "Alright. Kahako-Sama has just left the hospital to check on her kid. Shinrya-Sensei just went down to her lab with Hisako. All other senior staff are in appointments, their offices or absent. Avoid halls 3E, 4A, 4J, and 6H. Bets are now closing. On your marks!" The racers and the small audience tensed.

"Get Set!........" The nurse tapped the shoulder of the old man who was sleeping in the wheelchair she had. He woke with a start.

"Huuuh? What? Where is my pudding?"

At the word pudding the racers moved forward and the competition was on. Old man Jienkenzu was pulling ahead into first despite his age, a mednin who worked over in pediatrics behind him, with Osu pulling up third. Osu wasn't able to turn his head to see the order of the people behind him nor was it wise to. They were given no routes or rules aside from the order in which they needed to reach the checkpoints, do no harm, keep their dummies from losing their initial 3 percent health, and most importantly don't get caught. It was a good thing that he kept looking ahead too as old man Jienkenzu dropped a tapioca pudding cup. Osu and the pediatrician avoided it but the nurse who was right behind Osu ran straight over it squeezing out the contents she slipped and took a mednin from over in dermatology and the orderly down with her with the last nurse slowed down going around them, all three of their dummies making a beeping sound that signaled they were 'dead'. It was so early in the race yet the tricks were already coming out and coming out strong. This was also the reason why old man Jienkenzu was the fan favorite to win.

The three of them were sticking close to one another with the nurse trialing a good distance behind them but was beginning to catch up as they passed the radiology department, the first checkpoint. As they turned down a hallway that had the elevator at the end to head down to the basement levels it was clear to see that the nearest elevator was two floors up. Old man Jienkenzu decided to make a quick 180 to take the stairs, a risky move should he go too quickly and drop the dummy, while the other three stayed on course. The pediatrician pulled a sucker from his coat and threw it as he would a kunai, hitting the down button with precise aim as they continued to run towards it the doors opened just as he arrived and Osu made it in as well. He was pressing the close door button at rapid speed as the nurse ran towards them, begging that they hold it for her as it slowly shut. The sound of her dummy hitting the door and losing its health sounded as they started heading down.

It was a mostly quiet trip down the few floors to the bottom basement level. The pediatrician and Osu exchanged giddy grins from how exciting that last little stunt was, the pediatrician commented on the bags under Osu's eyes and how skinny he was, and Osu agreed to stop by his office later to talk about his diet. When the doors opened though it was back to business. The two of them rolled out to find old man Jienkenzu not to far behind them and with a lot more momentum going for him as he pulled back up into second with Osu in third. Honestly all that had really been accomplished was knocking the nurse out of the race. As they rolled through past morgues and labs a thought occurred to Osu, it was Hisako's general maintenance day. Osu made a sharp turn down a longer hallway, that the old man noticed and decided it might be best to lose some ground and follow Osu, while the pediatrician rolled on ahead. In all likelihood Kitsune Sensei was leaving her lab down that very hallway after giving Hisako a quick diagnostics scan and asking her a few questions, a much faster visit than normal. It would at least dramatically slow the pediatrician down to come up with a decent explanation as to why he was running down that hallway with a healing dummy to lose whatever lead he might currently possess. Most likely it would put him out of the race entirely. It was just Osu and old man Jienkenzu now.

As they passed the next checkpoint and took the elevator up to the top floor the old man looked down at Osu, "It seems following you was indeed the right course of action little missy." He was a boy dangitall. "Looks like it is just the two of us left in this race. You know back in my day I was a messenger shinobi, always running from one place to another. Even beat a Seikon in a footrace once in my prime. True story. That was a long time ago though. A lot more shinobi around back then, much more dangerous times too though so I guess that is the tradeoff. Anyway good luck, we just got two more checkpoints to go and I don't plan to go easy on yah just cause you remind me of my granddaughters." Old people did always seem to talk a lot, but instead of saying for the thousandth time that he was a boy Osu simply nodded. When the door opened though it was only the old man who was running out the door. Osu found that his wheelchair wouldn't move.

"By the way!" The old man yelled back waving a number of extra hands goodbye to Osu. "I beat that Seikon because he never managed to leave the starting line! No hard feelings kid!" Osu looked down at his wheels to see a thick coat of sticky web had him caught. The elevator door began to close when he removed one of the wheelchair feet and put it down to keep the elevator open while he made a knife of blood and tried sawing at the substance. A good minute later, just as Osu was giving up hope, the elevator next door dinged and a couple janitors stepped out to find Osu in the other. The one just looked down at the object blocking the door, then at Osu, then at the web on the wheel.

"You lot are doing that race thing of yours again aren't you? With that damn old man who leaves a mess everywhere he goes." He pointed to the web. "That won't do it, trust me, I have had to clean it up enough." He waved the other janitor to get something off of the cart and he brought back a rather unsettling looking liquid. Couple weeks ago there was another Hachiashi in the hospital and I had them mix this up for me after explaining about all the tiles I have had to replace. It takes a minute to burn through and smells something awful but it'll get the job done. He took a glove and a paintbrush and gave the web a quick coat with the liquid. It really did smell foul. "So how far behind are you?"

"About two minutes." Osu replied. There was no coming back from that, but the janitor simply nodded.

"And where are you supposed to be running to?"

The fact he said it like being two minutes behind wasn't a problem surprised Osu but he answered anyway, "Next is the end of the rooftop garden on the other side and after that we need to head over to where we do the late night check-ins, down on the first floor."

"Then here in a minute that man will be coming to an out of order elevator and have to take the stairs down. Though that still puts you quite a bit behind. It will take him probably... let's say about 9 minutes to go through all those hallways and make that last checkpoint." He turned to his partner. "Hey tell them to shut down the elevators on the other side for maintenance."

Surprised Osu began, "Uhh thank you but..." The janitor cut him off.

"I am not helping you, I am hindering that old bastard who keeps doing this to my floors," he said while bending down to start scraping up the webbing. "Tell me... kid, aren't you medics supposed to be taking the quickest route to help people?"

"Yes?"

"Then why are you taking hallways and elevators in this little race when the shortest distance between two points is a straight line? If I were injured and dying or something, personally I would really appreciate it if your lot didn't stick to the streets and plain went over or even busted through buildings to make that straight line. You know what they say, a medic at a dead run outranks everyone." The janitor finished removing the web from the wheels and made a quick seatbelt for the dummy with some tape. "Just a thought. Oh and avoid the windows if you can."

With that Osu was running again for the opposite side of the roof. Aside from the distance it was a pretty quick path as it was already pretty much a straight line and as he reached the person who marked the checkpoint, rather than using the elevator or going down the stairs Osu spun towards the side of the building, lifted the wheelchair over his head, and ran along the side of the building in as much of a straight line to the last checkpoint that he could manage.

The old man was very much surprised to see Osu a good 50 feet ahead of him coming in through the side entrance and already filling out the paperwork. Before old man Jienkenzu managed to get to the checkpoint Osu's completed clipboard clacked on the counter and moved to the empty room where a good number of nurses and doctors were already waiting, some excited and even more of them nervous as they obviously didn't bet on Osu. By the time the old man entered the room Osu's dummy released a loud beep that signaled it was at full charge.

The celebration and exchange of bets died down suddenly though and Osu turned to see what everyone was staring at. There in the doorway holding the arm from the pediatrician from earlier was Kitsune ”You guys do realize that I know everything about this, right? Why do you think our dear Sennin doesn’t know about it yet?” she said with a sly smirk. ”Could it be because I find it to be… Fun? Maybe, possibly… Educational?” she asked no one in particular, likely rhetorically too. ”As long as you don’t ruin my equipment, I won’t tell on you, just be careful~”

And with that she warped out like she do. There was a continued silence for a bit before everyone figured it was about time to get back to work.

RP for Elemental Aura:

The whole deal was rather unexpected. It all began when one of Osuteno's cousins suggested he was probably more than strong enough to use the clan's Liquid Armor technique. It wasn't as if there was really much to the ability, one simply encased their body with their blood and hardened it to withstand blows. The trick was however to have strong enough control of the bloodline to make it as thin as possible to allow movement to be mostly unimpeded without giving up on defence. Osu managed it his first time but not without his cousin noting something very unusual. While OSu began pulling the blood from his body it seemed that his blood had so much excess chakra pouring out that he was enveloped in very much visible chakra. The air around him took on a bloody tint for a good half meter around him. That wasn't normal apparently. It rather seemed that while he was in this form his control over blood became... not stronger per say, but smoother as if the same force could accomplish more. The aura and ease he felt seemed to be a direct result of concentrating chakra into a physical form around his person as he fed chakra into it.

RP for Stalker

Osuteno waited. He continued to wait. He was getting tired of waiting. It was pretty late into the evening and the sun was making its descent. Deciding to take advantage of the shadows for some impromptu training and was hanging upside down from the cornice of an inn above the entrance. The plan had been to stealthily place tiny paper hats on top of people's heads without them noticing. This is what happens when Osu has no work and an excess of origami paper. The problem was in the 10 minutes he had been hanging above this door not a single person came in or out when right before he came up here there were plenty of people coming and going. About when Osu gave up someone came out... His cousin Miu actually. Instantly Osu slowed and softened his heartbeat and altered his veins. Not from fear, but because she was a fellow Chigokai. A drunk Miu looked up in confusion at the darkness where Osu was hiding but dug at her ears when she didn't spot the source of the brief heartbeat she must have heard and kept walking.

Using his own range of hearing as a guide he relaxed when her heartbeat was dull. Cycling his blood and making sure he didn't harm himself Osu flipped up to the rooftop and began following Miu. While not particularly strong (in fact she was weaker than Osu who was five years younger though he was a bad example) her hearing was almost as good as his. He came gradually closer... just outside the range of her hearing... stopped his heart and flow and burst forward quietly. He went back outside of her range and corrected his blood flow and looked down at Miu with her new paper hat. It was very rough on him to do that. He couldn't manage to do it for even three seconds and it took a bit of time to feel recovered enough to do it again. At the same time though he felt like he removed a majority of his leftover presence in those brief moments. In combination with stealth movement and active camo he could manage to touch someone without revealing himself. Miu gained origami pauldrons and medals on the way back home becoming a full origami admiral.

RP for Crystal Element

Hours after Osu's shift ended he was still in his office at the hospital. His office was down in the second basement level near the stairs down which coincidentally, or probably not so much at all, meant he had a very short trip to make if he was ever called down to one of his sensei's labs for experimentation. Osu very rarely used his office seeing as it was nowhere near the stairs heading up or an elevator and often did his paperwork in the morgue or some other quiet spot he could find. However today, or rather tonight, he had all the furniture pushed up against the wall, except for a table in the middle, and was experimenting with his Blood Vault technique, more specifically the solidified blood that resulted from the technique. He had preserved nearly every drop of blood he created with his techniques over the last few years inside the ninjutsu scroll he created which... really added up it seemed. The problem was that the stuff seemed to be useless unless he uncompressed it back into liquid blood. He didn't really want to toot his own horn but he was rather impressed with how he had managed to make blood achieve and maintain such a solid, though extremely fragile, state. After a couple weeks of working on this in his spare time... Osu still came up with nothing.

He had done everything he could think of in his attempt to use the Blood Stone as he did his liquid blood attacks. He had techniques that used solidified blood already but they relied on contact on constant feeding of chakra which gave them the strength of steel. This rock he made was more like glass and was locked into its shape. trying to hit anything with it caused it to shatter and if he focused more blood chakra into it, it simply became liquid again. It was useless. Sure he didn't leave a mess everywhere he went but what was he supposed to do with all of this stuff? As it was he could cover a couple dozen city blocks with the stuff and have some left over.

Then a thought occur to Osu. Just a few days prior in a routine checkup he had a slight affinity with earth chakra. The reason he still hadn't tried anything with that is that he was already sure what the result would be. Yes earth chakra provided the most stability among the base elements. Yes there was a subset of water jutsu known as crystal that used earth chakra. Yes these blood stones were technically blood crystals. However there were two main issues. Osu picked up a small chunk of the blood stone and pushed not blood chakra but water and a bit of earth into it. It grew much larger and much harder. It's composition was much less blood now and therefore his control over it was pretty much at base with the rest of his unbloodied water techniques. It could no longer be turned back into simply liquid blood. He had opened up access to crystal ninjutsu but had completely failed in his original goal. Rather any of the blood stone he used in this method would take up more physical space and could no longer be absorbed back into his ninjutsu scroll.

Putting that project aside Osu started playing with his new crystal chakra but fell backwards in his chair the first time he managed to create something... It looked exactly like bloodstone except darker. He broke off a piece of it, to his relief this was much more difficult to do that with bloodstone, and tested it. His relief faded when this turned out to very much indeed contain a significant amount of blood. Even worse he was unable to absorb it through his blood bank technique and again he was unable to liquify it. Was it some sort of habit that gave everything he did a tinge of blood? He thought for a minute about his fighting style where his taijutsu, ninjutsu and even his genjutsu almost all used his blood. He began lightly thudding his head into the blood crystal over and over. Messy, messy, messy, messy, messy...

Which means I will also have a minor affinity in crystal if approved, yay for at least that autoing.

Edit: Also adding a rp for Transmit Life

Osu was really starting to wonder if he might be a one trick pony. Actually he was starting to wonder if he would have even been a shinobi if his talent for his bloodline didn't exist. Right now he was staring at a dog on the other side of a fence that his blood was swimming around in. The poor thing had looked sick and, on a whim more than anything, his infused some of his blood with Medicinal Chakra and sent it in through the dog's skin. With an out of place sense of disappointment it seemed his medical skills were easier to apply this way. Even as the dog started moving away from him he kept the technique going for a bit longer. It was foolish to feel down about this, he knew that. He wouldn't have to run around the battlefield himself doing things this way, instead relying on his talent in chakra control to keep up. Yes as he began walking through town curing coughs and relieving colds and relaxing old bones with not a soul noticing or needing to stop and accept thanks, Osu felt truly foolish for feeling disappointed in that without his blood he would very likely be useless.

[spoilername="116 +117 Word counts"]One of the many hindrances Osu experienced since his... transformation was that he had to use his bloodline abilities constantly to move his mostly blood body. That meant that despite what used to be considered a very fast pace for chakra recovery, he had to really practice to just move around without burning himself out. The current result provided the most optimal movement but he broke even on his chakra recovery. What used to take him minutes to recover now required him to be perfectly still for a good half hour. It felt like he had aged decades over a short span of time, almost as if all that youthful energy had been drained from him.

There was however one silver lining at least. Since he no longer had muscles or such and relied entirely upon manipulating his blood to accomplish everything strength and endurance training had become pointless and he was able to fully devote his time to meditation and chakra control exercises to achieve the same results and more. For hours he would train his mind and practice moving as many of his blood vessels in as precise and intricate of movement as he could manage. He would spread himself thin becoming a massive amount of bloody ren cords making large shapes on the plains or filling up rooms to their brims and ensnaring anything that came near with surprising strength.[/spoilername]

Dropping Bloody Mess 129wc

Osu had always been a bit ashamed of how much of a mess his abilities caused. Getting blood on everything wasn't sanitary in the least mind you not to mention what that does with animals. No unless he was fishing he didn't really like the mess whatsoever. It was why he developed a particular jutsu to collect blood and store it. Still he obsessed just a bit over being just a little cleaner every time he trained. Time after time, cringe after cringe he attempted to use blood jutsu without getting it just plain everywhere while still maintaining effectiveness. Even after all these years though he only managed to contain the horrendous splatters with mild effectiveness, he was probably doomed to spending time cleaning up after his jutsu forever.

Picking up Jutsu Expansion 140wc

Osu rubbed his brow as he was coming to terms with what he had managed to 'accomplish'. He managed to actually increase the power of some of his weaker jutsu and make them more effective. The problem? It involved greatly increasing the amount of blood he threw into his attacks. He JUST... sigh. He conjured up a shield from his blood and examined to see how much stronger and thicker is was than before. Not bad at all honestly, a lot more viable as a method of defense against his class of opponents. In fact many of them were viable again, and his increased control over them allowed for him to more easily pull off some interesting tricks and side effects. Very fascinating... he was going to have to start carrying around more scrolls to store blood in wasn't he?

A young masked medic watched an encampment from a distance. His duty as a Sentou Henkan was… more peaceful than he had expected for the most part. He had known before what his job entailed but just recently had he truly realized he would only really participate in the missions themselves when a cleanup was necessary or should shit hit the fan (which was very very rare amongst seasoned ANBU).

Even today all that they were doing was scoping out a bandit encampment because according to particular sources they had recently hired a pair of mercenary shinobi. So far about eight minutes had passed on all that he was hearing on the airwaves was silence that was occasionally broken by someone reporting that an area was clear.

That was broken by a large explosion from one corner of the encampment that was soon followed by the team checking their conditions off as the team leader spoke their codenames. An AiT didn’t speak up when the team leader spoke his codename. After a second try he continued on down the list as the team professionally set about on high alert with our masked mednin receiving the instructions to get a visual from a distance and confirm the condition of the missing AiT… And to take care of them as protocol dictated. The Sentou Henkan hoped that would end up being an emergency evac rather than a disposal.

Very unfortunately upon his arrival the AiT was very much dead. The explosion itself didn’t kill him but it seemed someone had finished the job afterwards… No, two someones.

“Agent dead, mask removed. 5 local possible witnesses eliminated, only other possible witnesses would be targets. Retrieval and disposal in progress.”

He retrieved the body, placing the mask back on the agents face, while receiving an acknowledgement and made his way out of the immediate mission zone.

He paused for a moment before he destroyed the body and let his blood vessels do as they wished. They had seemed to be begging for the body. They pierced inside on pulled out the AiT’s heart and veins and brought them into Osu’s own body, spraying out the old blood and replacing it with the ichor that flowed in his veins. Osu gathered up the blood in an orb and summoned a large Orca to consume the body and blood whole before letting it return to the ocean…

He sighed thinking of the unfortunate loss and then looked back towards the encampment. It seemed that the fight was finishing up and the two mercenary shinobi were taken care of with no further issues. Now all that was left to do was clean up the witnesses while they were here.

RP for Bloody Mess:
Osu just wasn't sure what to do anymore. He thought he had it under control but... He looked at the forest around him and sighed. Everything was dyed red. Every last thing in sight was simply covered in ridiculous amounts of blood. He could almost sense every living creature in the forest with a modicum of intelligence retreating from the location where pure carnage must be occurring. Even the insects wanted no part of his... unusual ichor. He had just tried... well he just tried to make a jutsu a bit stronger than usual... and he did... but his blood decided to get out of hand on it's own. Quite literally. He still wasn't sure if his blood had any sort of intelligence beyond instinctual things, but he certainly knew it liked to get everywhere... He was going to have to clean all this up now...

RP for Contract Mastery:
Osu sat down in the mixed baths of the hot springs and looked over at Dayuu, who was settling in herself and becoming comfortable with the hot water. He had never thought the dire orca mermaid could fit in the water but by some odd method she wasn't apparently going to share with him the hot spring seemed to be much, MUCH deeper for her. "So... Your brother is going to stop giving me so much trouble over summoning 'his' subordinates? I have to say that is quite unexpected, he has never really liked me."

Dayuu nodded and sighed with exasperation. "Osu-Chan you thankfully don't know the half of it. He will acknowledge your right to summon us only because of the overlord's decree... but..."

"There's always a but. Don't worry I was expecting some bad news."

"Well... it may be bad news... basically... he won't yet acknowledge your right to summon him unless you can beat him in combat. He acknowledges you are stronger than when you first came to us but he himself expects you to challenge him and prove your worth before he will fight alongside you himself... But I don't think you are ready yet."

"... That was honestly better than I was expecting. And I also agree I am not ready yet. Really did he expect me to rush to fight him upon hearing such a challenge?"

"Not at all. He is finally willing to call you careful instead of cowardly. I honestly think he looks forward to letting you prepare and fight him. He is quite the tsundere. Anyway I look forward to continuing to work with you."

"I as well look forward to working with you."

Cursed Seal RP: https://www.ninpocho.com/viewtopic.php?f=249&t=50741 I did this thread with Kitsune for my curse seal originally on the old system and would just like to use the rp for the ability. I think they still have the sealing jutsu but if they don't I own it as well.

RP for Revenant Heart Number 3
Osu just had to acknowledge at this point that more hearts were necessary. Since he had started absorbing more hearts and blood vessels he was gaining more control over his father's ichor that ran through him. He wasn't particularly happy about the process, but... Things would be safer if he went along with it he felt. Well it did take him a good month to get used to a new heart though. It was very much like an internal battle since the blood had recognized each new heart, while strengthening it, limited its freedom more to Osu's will. I now really tried to resist the hearts and it was quite the drain. But it was still very much worth it... mostly.

There was one major problem with how adopting hearts worked. They needed to be fresh. Really fresh. As in that they still needed to have a bit of whatever force it was that propelled life itself when he took it in. At most he had a few minutes after death of the original owner to adopt it. He was... unlucky really in the grand scheme of things that his other hearts had basically fallen upon his lap. But the need to press forward with containing the ichor meant he didn't really have time to wait for the next coincidence. He also wasn't about to go out and kill anyone. So he decided to do something he thought was honestly harder.

He was sitting beside the bed of an older shinobi. Retired in fact. The man had spent many many years as a chuunin before he reached an age that was considered an extremely respectable accomplishment for someone in their profession. Honestly he was fit enough to live for many more years... if it wasn't for the bacteria that had already tore its way through much of his spinal cord. Even if they had managed to contain it he had already lost all movement below the neck with no chance of recovery. So he had opted for euthanasia instead. In his own words, he had spent too much of his life running around to spend the next so many years feeling useless and restricted to a bed. And so Osu asked the man if he could have his heart.

"Ahh being flirted with by a pretty young miss at my age, should have come to the hospital more often if I had known I could meet such a sweet lass... Might have caught this damn back rot much sooner as well. Well no use crying over foolishness now... Still, that was quite some tale you had there young lady... Are you actually sure that this old ticker will do you much good? I have put a lot of stress on the thing in my life from defusing bombs to speaking with beautiful women. It might not have that many beats left anyway."

Osu didn't really have the heart to correct the man's assumption and instead shook his head with a slight smile, "Quite the contrary I can tell you have a very strong heart... You have taken good care of it, and used it well... It has plenty of life left in it..."

"... Goodness I wish I were forty years younger right now. Too think I could still blush at a pretty girl at my age... Alright. You can have my heart on two conditions. First... I want you to give this old man a gentle passing doc. The second I want you to do so while smiling. Never had a wife or nothing and my friends have long since gone. Be nice to see a pretty girl smiling for me in the end... Yes just like that. Go ahead laugh a bit at this old fool's last bit of foolishness I don't mind that you have a few tears mixed in as well there. It feels quite genuine... Flip the switch doc. Oh and don't let it bother you that people mistake you for a woman, you make for quite a pretty one."

Several minutes later Osu left the room with a new heart beating in his chest.

Osu ran silently along the rooftops of Port Cirrus. As he hopped up onto a higher roof, he was forced to duck back down the side as the person he was chasing blasted fire where we was heading. This really wasn't in his job description at all. He would have normally called for backup after finding what appeared to be a thief using ninjutsu but... well he was rather young. Well to be fair he was older than Osu, but he obviously was mostly self taught. Osu had no doubt he could defeat this guy on his own, but that was the main reason he wanted to detain him and talk to him... Rather than calling for backup and letting someone make the call to kill him.

So here he was running around with his mask on, putting out fires as soon as they were beginning, and trying to tire this guy out. Well actually it seemed he was done with running. Osu hopped to the final roof where the young man was turned to face Osu... Two sharingan with three tomoe. Not bad at all for his age. Also rather explained his proficiency with fire ninjutsu despite how rough his chakra control seemed.

Honestly the match that followed could hardly be called such. Despite the young man drawing two swords on Osu and trying to blast him him mid level fire ninjutsu, Osu kept catching the young man, throwing him, and dousing him over and over with water. Just when Osu was about to bind the young man while he was gasping for breath his chakra suddenly spiked a like and his tomoe transformed. Osu grimaced at the Mangekyo, it seems he had managed to push the young man over that limit by accident.

"Will you just calm down already and listen to-" Suddenly the young man had managed to close the distance and cut into Osu's arm. He had a smug look on his face initially but Osu just stared down at him.

With a bad premonition the young Uchiha retreated but Osu was going to take off the kid's gloves now. A red haze began spewing out of Osu's wound and enveloped the area. The young man found that his vision wasn't helping him look past this blood made haze. The next thing he noticed was his own body began to experience great pain just from touching the haze. He turned to- A series of fast punches slammed into him from someplace unseen. It began raining as well... Wait the rain was also bloo- A frenzy of sharks made of blood suddenly began to try and tear his legs off or it felt like it at least. Once more he turned to escape but this time a hard chop slammed him down and was followed by another. He thought he saw the woman chasing him for a moment but she faded away as if she were never there. He was bleeding all over now he realized, and if he stayed in this haze much longer he knew he would... And then suddenly it all cleared away.

He was barely breathing on his knees. He stared with his newly enhanced vision and the monster who had come after him. He had to escape somehow... He spied some people gathering below out of the corner of his eye... Maybe...

Making his choice he once more interrupted his pursuer's attempt to talk with him with a large blast of fire, but this time it was aimed at the civilians. But instead of them being burnt or the person jumping down to save them a large and regal shield of pure dark red blocked the attack... and some cords had entered his chest. "I really wish you hadn't forced it to come to this," His pursuer said as he felt his heart and life be pulled from his body. Osu had a new heart... and it seemed the hospital had a new Uchiha body.

Revenant RP Heart #5
Osu was struggling to keep his breath steady as he braced himself against the half-frozen pillar. The mission he was assigned turned out to have incomplete intelligence on precisely the defenses of this drug cartel. There were supposed to be two chakra users running the group, there were five. Five on five wasn't really bad odds still, considering that one of those groups were actually military trained. However the problem came down to one of those five on one side not being an actual ANBU but a support medic.

So in the ensuing fight Osu found himself thinking about this not being in his job description. Rather this was almost the opposite of what he was expected to do as a Sentou Henkan. He wasn't supposed to be in direct combat at all. Chiai would kill him if she learned he was risking his life. That said a pressurized stream of water cut through the pillar right where Osu's shoulders had been before he had ducked. The cut down the center of the pillar next but Osu had already moved on to his next hiding spot. Goodness they were rather energetic. Undoubtedly this person seemed quite determined to remove him from the picture. Rather they seemed to be in a big hurry to do so.

It was only to be expected of course, Osu thought as his separated arm stretched out and tripped them from behind. They wanted to end their fight with him so they would be able to rush to an ally and gang up on who they were fighting. A basic and effective tactic. Unfortunately for them, ANBU were not in the practice of underestimating targets. Four ANBU were not sent because it was deemed necessary to handle two targets, four ANBU were sent to minimize injury disposing of two targets. Adding only three more chakra users to the mix, untrained by military standards, merely increased the probability of injuries... Well except in Osu's case.

Yes Osu was likely better trained than this rampaging criminal but he honestly needed to preserve his chakra in case someone needed- Goodness why does he keep aiming for his neck? Still as much as he felt he could probably hang around and let this person exhaust themselves it would be for the best to provide support for the others. So he vanished.

It was as honestly as simple as that. The other person simply saw Osu vanish. They tried to look for him but for a few seconds things felt unnaturally... empty. Suddenly their ribs cracked. They almost started to look around with- a heavy blow struck their back. Then a flurry of hits that seemed to come from all sides. Wait when did they start bleeding so much? For a moment they though maybe... No that had to be the head of the other- strange seals began popping up on their body... the bleeding was getting heavier. Blood flooded from their mouth as they stared at their chest.

Osu pulled yet another heart out of another human being, a young and healthy person, and tore their life force from their body and brought it into their own. He deactivated his cursed seal and let his presence reveal itself and vomited a bit in his mouth while taking a knee. It was never going to get any easier was it? Still, he stood tall and went to make contact with the rest of the squadron and provide medical support. It was what was expected of him after all.
