Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Name: Tanaka, Hikari

Hair color: Red orange
Scars: Hikari has many scars. Some self inflicted, some accidentally acquired, none are visible to the average observer, except the one on her knee, a small circular mark. However, if you're close enough to see it, you'll likely get kicked in the face.

Skin: Pale pink.

Hikari is a pretty girl with a soft high voice and an upright, friendly disposition. Her hair is unruly and curly, and though she once fought to control it, she now prefers to own it. It's a trademark of sorts. Although she prefers soft blues and purples, she often wears earth tones- easier to disguise the blood stains. Her wardrobe is like any woman's wardrobe, vast and unknowable, except unlike the average woman's wardrobe, hers is bristling with the tools of her trade.

Philosophically speaking, she is perfectly fine with killing. Which is a good thing, considering what she does. She has a tendency of thinking of herself as a dual being. On the one side, idealistic, not one who would steal, or harm another in any way. On the other side, the agent of Kumo. In that guise, any manner of thing is justifiable. "It is right because it is done in the name of my homeland." She might say.

Personality: Hikari is bookish, her family filled with scholars, but she is not content with a sedentary lifestyle. She learns quickly- in fact, she does most things quite quickly. Hikari tends not to 'dream' in the sense of a desired outcome to her life. She is content that she is living the life she chose. She strives for perfection in what she does, and does not deal well with people who give up. Hikari is quite friendly, and though she tends to shy away from the center of attention, she often finds herself near it. Over the years, she's developed a wry sort of humor and a fairly hot temper, her temper has become more volatile, and yet less lasting. Her snark has also blossomed. Although Hikari is friendly, she does not have many friends. A peril of shinobihood, perhaps.

History:

Clan Tanaka

The Tanaka family is generally bookish like Hikari. Both parents are fond of teaching and learning, thus, her father owns a book store, and her mother tutors there for a small fee. Hikari, unlike her parents, is not content with such a sedentary life. She, like many others, has dreams of becoming a ninja, the likes of which she has read. However, tales appropriate for young eyes do not often tell the whole truth of things. Hikari is fairly unprepared for what will come, as her parents are fond of telling her, however, she is stubbornly determined to enter school. Finally nearing the age of ten, her parents agreed to send her, though they made it clear that they thought it was a bad idea. Hikari completely ignored her parents warning and enthusiastically reread her favorite stories. On some level, she knew she was committing to a serious challenge, but she was not a girl easily deterred by harsh odds.

Tanaka Hikari- That’s me- is descended from Two lines that are relatively inconspicuous on the surface. Her father was the nephew to the great Santaru Rin, With that relation came some trouble, however, and in order to escape the trouble, he married into Clan Tanaka in order to escape.
Tanaka Kuma- Hikari’s father- is a merchant who run a library/book store and has inherited a bakery from his father. Tanaka Erinoa is Hikari’s mother, she owns the above mentioned library, as well as a well reputed education service for non-shinobi. Her family has been matrilineal for centuries, only passing their names through their daughters. he Tanakas are an average family with average hardships. They are generally merchants- so they’re well off but not terribly rich, and there is no history of mental illness in the family.


Generally speaking, the Tanakas have not been Shinobi. Erinoa was more than upset when Hikari chose to leave home to join their ranks at age nine. Hikari has not had much contact with her family since graduation, except for a brief stint as a caretaker for her grandmother, who lived through her illness thanks to her granddaughter's diligence, Hikari has been active in the diplomatic corps of the main branch of Kumogakure.

She started as an Ambassador shortly after graduating from the academy, due to the potential Takaki Masao saw in her. She served for years in that capacity, learning and growing. She brought together two nations which had historically been at each other's throats and helped facilitate the end of that war. Hikari is the niece of the deceased Santaru Rin. This was, although not a revelation, very formative in the past few years, as it connected her emotionally with her boss, Takaki Masao. As his niece, Hikari took the lead in a diplomatic mission to quell the wars that had troubled Lightning country for years. Although the mission was a success on paper, many great shinobi perished in the forging of peace, including Hikari's newly found Uncle. His loss shook the woman at the same time boosting her career.

She had become Spymaster, with the expressed invitation of becoming an interum sennin, a position which was authorized by the leadership of her village, because it would have allowed her to see the inner workings of another village and head off any problems before they became relevant. This, however, was not to be. A short time after returning from Tenouza, the place where the peace conference was held, the new sennin Do Natsu, fell seriously ill. Hikari professed her willingness to do whatever it took for the village and was surprised to find that Masao had proposed that she might be a candidate for Senninhood, although she was very young. Hikari has not had an easy time of it, however. The loss of two of the highest ranking members of her branch staggered the relatively stable structure, and made her position more difficult. She promoted three members of the branch to positions such as Spymaster and Gate captain.

Earlier in her life, Hikari had been very close friends with Ishikawa Zaku. They had trained together and been promoted together. A short time before Masao's death, he vanished, and was declared rogue or missing. The fact that he had gone seriously shook her. She felt betrayed personally by his supposed betrayal of the village. Her anger made her bury herself in her work. After a year of being gone, it was revealed that Isaki Hoshikata had kidnapped him, warped his mind, and transformed his face, so that he was no longer recognizable as himself. Zaku returned to the village in the guise of Isaki Kenta, but upon confronting him, Hoshikata revealed that the member of his clan was in fact, the former Gate captain. Hikari was stunned. Realizing that she had to remain professional in public, she had both Hoshikata and Zaku arrested by her spymaster, Shima Haruka. There would be time for reunions later.

Some time before Hikari became Sennin, she adopted a bear cub named Kariku. His mother had fallen to her death off one of the steeper ledges of the mountain pass. The red haired kunoichi took the cub in, aware that if she didn't he would most likely die.

After several years of laborious training in the academy, Hikari has emerged a Genin. The day she was promoted was one she was not likely to forget, though unlike her fellow senior students who fought that night, she did not suffer nightmares, though she did not sustain any injuries to her person, she did not get away unshaken: she didn't think she would ever enjoy the smell of chocolate sauce again. She also decided she didn't like cats.

History:
The home village of Kūruson Ējento is unknown. What is known, is that at some point in the last twenty years, he was recruited into a special tasks group in which he apparently took on an active yet unclear role. In spite of his obvious potential, and due to his lack of a potent bloodline in combination with his lack of interest in kinjitsu, Kūruson Ējento has been put into a position of understated authority.

Physical:
A mild mannered man of entirely too average appearance, height, and weight. He is more often than not exceedingly friendly and pleasant. Physically, he has dark brown hair, light skin, brown eyes, and a mildly receding hairline.

Notes:
Though the reports are scarce and suspect, there is enough to say that this man is more than he appears. One report says he was responsible for [redacted]. Another report speculates that even if his physical prowess is unremarkable- confirmation needed- he is an excellent leader, in addition to suspect and undefined qualities. A common element in each report is a surprised and mildly bemused awe. If not for exceptional occasions, one might never know he was more than average. As stated before, much of this information is poor and the sources are hardly credible.

For further questions: Suggestion is to ask the man himself, he seems quite pleasant.

Big Ass Thwacking Implement

Description:
Medium weight hammer made from a very strong, yet light weight metal. Hikari's hammer is a top heavy, and double sided war hammer. It's reach is medium to short range. Though Hikari has just began using this oversuzed mallet, she enjoys the weight, and the challenge of altering her balance. The first time she picked up a hammer for fighting purposes was that day in the dojo with Zaku and Kahako. She fell flat on her back, and then onto Zaku not long after. It's not been easy, but her determination and high learning curve has made her a passable student of the bludgeoning weapon type.
