Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kureji is... to say the least... Ever changing. With this new body that was granted to him by Tama, the Sunan mad scientist, his own powers have been out of whack. For the main reason as it seems that his bloodline(s) can easily be changed as if he were changing clothes. Not like it was ever a challenge for him, for the fact that he could change out bodies very easily. And of course, today, on impulse, he decided to hit up the Country's local black market, this time leading him out of the Village. He thought to himself the differences between Sand and Leaf. It was obvious that there are problems with Sand that they just can't seem to shake, ie, the black market that operates within the Village itself. Whereas with Leaf, they've done much to separate themselves from the underbelly of marketing.

Crater City, a whole... well city, that works with little to no law. The perfect place for the rocker to find the newest way to spice up his life. Not many people paid him any mind, as if they have that innate feeling that he isn't allied with any Village. Kureji is a free spirit, someone who goes wherever he wants and does whatever he wants. He is chaotic, and some people can even call him... Wild. Yes... He has an idea of what he wants, though he doesn't really know how to go about doing it, for once, as this type of change might be different than what he's used to.

Eventually, Kureji came across what he was hoping for. One of the black market vendors was a gruff looking man with a wild looking beard. He seemed to size Kureji up before speaking, "Lemme guess, a non Inuzuka wants to be one of us."

Kureji flashed him a smile, "Ya know it. Just want to know how to go about doing it."

"Hm..." The Inuzuka man contemplated. "I've gotta give you some of my blood. You just gotta hope that will be enough to change your genetics. That is step one."

Kureji smiled again, "That all?" His genetics being out of whack surely would help, though he suspects that he'll lose access to one of his two crazy powers. "Sounds too easy to me. But I'll bite... erm, figuratively, not literally. What else do I gotta do."

The Inuzuka man laughed before answering Kureji, "Well if you're so confident in yourself, then you must know. After you take my blood, and if you successfully become an Inuzuka, then one of two things will happen. First, we'll see if you can bond with an animal. But if that's off the table, then you just might be one of them lone wolves, that has their own type of power to draw from the wilds itself. And after we find out, then we'll know the next steps going forward."

Kureji nodded, following the plan. The inuzuka man hooked both of them up so that some of his blood will go into Kureji. One minute would pass by. Two... Kureji didn't feel much different, but that usually always happens. Though he did feel less lazy, a trait that comes with the Nara bloodline. Once everything was done, the Inuzuka man would disconnect them and lead the rocker into the building behind him. "In here are all the animals that are part of the Inuzuka clan, though they are mostly the undesirables. The ones that even a pure Inuzuka has trouble connecting with, if at all. If you can't form a bond with any of them, then you would have to walk the lone wolf path."

There was a whole assortment of animals running around the place freely, pushing the two humans, as if they are the ones that don't belong there. But there was one that was caged. A dog that stood on all four legs that was easily Kureji's height, definitely taller if it stood on its hind legs. It had sleek black fur, not too long, and not too short. And its face, or rather... faces, as it had three heads, all looked like that of a pit bull, made it the cutest thing ever! Yes, Kureji, the missing ninja part time rocker and schizophrenic is gushing over a three headed dog that is big enough to tear him apart. "Whoa!!!!" He exclaimed pressing his face up against the bars of the cage. "They're perfect!"

The inuzuka man shook his head and got in between Kureji and the cage, "This one here, is by far the hardest for anyone to connect with. It even nearly killed a pure blood Inuzuka that tried to bond with it."

Kureji shook his head, "Nonsense! None of you are just it's type of vibe. You gotta just go with the flow of things and let a free spirit be free." All three heads huffed, as if in agreement to what he had just said. "See? They agree with me." And with that, not giving the Inuzuka a chance to speak, opened the cage and gave the three headed dog a big ol' hug. It was strange, Kureji just feels as if he is able to discern what the dog is thinking just by the things that it does. There might be some small bits lost in translation, but the dog seemed to accept the hug and even nuzzled him. "So what's your name? Fenrir? Cu Chulain?" One head growled, while the other two barked. He was wrong on both accounts. "Cerberus?" All three heads looked at him as if to tell him, duh!

He would smile to the three headed dog. "Then it's settled! Cerberus!" He then turned to the Inuzuka, who had a dumbfounded look on his face.

"You just effortlessly bonded with them. Something unheard of for any in the Clan, much less outsiders!" He exclaimed.

Kureji would shrug, "Ain't nothing to it. I can just tell that he's a free spirit like me. And both of us don't like being ordered around." He rubbed Cerberus' head and looked back at the Inuzuka. "So about these next few steps you mentioned. What do we gotta do?"

The Inuzuka regained his composure and told them that they would have to work together to the point that they are in sync with each other along with pulling off combos to really be able to pull off some crazy stunts. So they went to work. It had taken them a little over a week to complete. The first few days were a bit hectic and confusing. Hey, Even though Kureji is now understanding Cerberus, doesn't mean that he knows everything the three headed dog is telling him, especially in battle.

Towards the end of their training, Kureji and Cerberus has become inseparable. Along with that, they have come to an understanding of each other, where Kureji feels like he understands Cerberus more than he does about himself. By the end of the week, they didn't even need the Inuzuka man to teach them anything, because, as it turns out, Cerberus knew all about the types of techniques that the Clan are famous for. So he more so instructed Kureji on how to do certain things, even making a point to tell him in a series of grunts and barks, to forget about the shadows completely, as they put it. Kureji didn't feel like he was any part Nara, but he listened to Cerberus and soon, he was able to perfectly work how his companion instructed him.

Time went on and eventually, Kureji didn't see Cerberus as just a companion, but like a brother, weirdly enough. They both knew each other's likes and dislikes, even going out of each other's ways to sometimes push the others buttons. But what they both share a like in is music. Specifically rock and roll. Kureji had a wild idea. He was once musically inclined before, even could cast genjutsu through music. It really was a wicked thing that he could do.

So he thought to himself, why not? He'll just need to teach himself how to do it again. It would have to involve him losing access to the powers of the Yamanaka, specifically the whole mind body control or whatever. So again, he would rock and roll, this time, he will go all out. And for that, he would need the perfect instrument. So he went shopping! After nearly a whole day, he found the perfect instrument. A beautiful sleek red and white electric guitar. After a bit of haggling, Kureji is now the proud owner of the masterpiece of a guitar. Now he knows that to truly marvel at the beauty of the design is to also tweak it and make it sturdy enough for battle, along with making it a weapon, in of itself. Making it a weapon was easy, but to make it hit the right tone every time that he needs to in order to cause a genjutsu to affect someone? That takes some serious skills and practice. So, he practiced on random passerby's in Crater City.

Most would give him some yen or whatever, the standard thing. But after nearly a whole day, he was successful. He had decided to throw a genjutsu on an unsuspecting person, one to induce a person's deepest, darkest fears. As the person bent down to give him yen, he seen the guy's eyes dilate, and he suddenly looked around in a frantic manner before screaming in terror and running off. Kureji couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation. He couldn't believe after all this time that he still has the skills to sweep an audience under illusions. Though... it does have its drawbacks. Kureji suspects that too much potent powers can't co-exist together, even for a Chimera. The powers of the Yamanaka surely have gone away by now. But that didn't bother him at all. He was more of a do what's fun kind of guy than absolute power.

But just doing it on one person isn't enough. He felt obliged to really test out his skills. Going under another alibi and a transformation jutsu, he would head the stage as a lone singer and guitarist. His fingers would fly along the chords of the guitar almost effortlessly as he rocks out. At first, everyone was vibing with his music, rocking out and head bobbing as one should. But he would pick and choose certain people in the audience to experience different things that would most of the time, leave them confused, while others would get random nosebleeds. some people even screamed and ran off. Ultimately, Kureji felt like he was back!

Though... He let out a sigh... Having this power once again is making him reminiscent of a time past when he had a whole band. He would put his chakra, heart, and soul fully into playing music to make both an unforgettable experience and a deadly fun time. Surprisingly, not much of the fans thought much on the whole delirium thing going on with a select few people and really digged his music. They kept shouting "Encore! Encore! Encore!", in which he had obliged, giving them an encore to talk about for months on end, this time, he opted out on putting a handful of genjutsus on his audience.

For the longest time... He felt alive, and even when he had felt like he was living, it felt like there was just something missing from his life. Kureji had come to realize that he loves music with such intense passion much more than power. It could very well be the reason why it was so easy for him to strip away from the powers of the Yamanaka and back into the loving arms of the Cadency.

With his new mix of powers coming together, Kureji can't help but think that he can do better than to switch out his genetic implant. He had come to the realization that in this type of life, he is bound to come to danger sooner rather than later. It is still surprising to him that he has been able to keep his true identity hidden from not just the Leaf ninja, but damn near anyone that he comes across save for a select few of people, all of which are similar to him. Outcasts to society made to live their own lives.

So he did the only natural thing a missing ninja like him can do if he wants to change some things about himself. He went to the local black market. There, he went searching for some type of shady doctors, you know the type, the ones that you go to and when you wake up, you're missing a kidney, or something of that nature. After a while, he found one that wasn't too sketchy because yes, Kureji does have standards. They eventually settled on a price for the Kaguya bone that had been fused into Kureji's body and in return, the shady doc will expertly switch his heart out for the heart of a steadfast person.

After a while of being knocked out, he came back into consciousness. Looking down at his chest, he had a set of fresh stitches right over his heart, was it his heart? Either way, there was some blood to have been cleaned up from it. "So.... Did it work?" He asked the shady doctor.

The shady doctor would hold up a knife and stab Kureji in the shoulder. "Do you feel that?" He asked Kureji. And strangely enough, he didn't really feel it. Okay, well he felt the pressure, definitely, but not the pain that would normally follow. It wasn't until the doctor had the knife hilt deep into Kureji's should in which he actually felt it. "Ow." The doctor pulled the knife out and healed him with some minor medic jutsu. "Well, looks like you got it all good now."
