Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The Banditos [Mini Event]

The group of lawless men ready themselves for the attack from the samurai. The man holding the bow saw Shoma's position, and Shoma thought himself fortunate the bow-user would be the only one to do so given the contact seconds before. Seeing a jar of fluid near his position, the Stone Shinobi grabs it and shows himself to throw the jar at the wildest of the bunch. This proved to be dangerous for the bodyguard, for this exposed him to more of the strange projectiles. Though his frame is not bulky, the padding he wears proves useful, preventing a fatal wound. Shoma readies himself for one of his greater techniques, placing a hand on hilt of his blade and mapping each bandits placement. Closing his eyes, his lips move with great quickness, uttering the words that would go unheard"Fell Blade Remembrance" before he moves. Making small, multiple sonic booms, Shoma moves for one man to the next in an attempt to disable the other combatants before more harm came to the already wounded hostage. Beyond the sight of mortal men, including the samurai himself, sword strokes are made and would reveal themselves in the following split-second in which Shoma sheaths his swords.

Heat radiates off of samurai as his inhales, as if he were holding his breath. After each man falls Shoma counts aloud "One two,... three, four... ". However, he staggers a bit in weakness and disorientation, allowing for the remaining two foes to strike at him with greater confidence. Still Shoma finds himself able to avoid and parry some of their aggression but, one's frustration leads him to target the hostage. Having nothing to give to save her at the moment, a feeling unknown to the samurai washes over him as he watches the undeserving soul have her needlessly life pried from her. After the knife-wielder takes a few more stroke before giving up his assault. But as Shoma looks again to toward the victim, he makes a decision that he had been trying to avoid in saying, "Five, six. It was senseless to slay her. She was... the means by which,... all of you would maintain your lives. It was needless... And so will be, what I shall inflict, upon you." He identifies his mark by only with a stare, and as the warrior gains his breathe back, he slowly approaches the last standing member with a drawn blade and the a traditional black ninja outfit covered with red battle-damaged joint guards, his own blood, and gasoline.

Perhaps Mori was a tad overconfident.

Perhaps Ruhako had the right idea when he said that they should 'RUN.

Mori let out a laugh as Shoma chucked a bottle of oil in his direction, dousing the immediate area in oil. "Taking something from my book you little fucker," Mori taunted. He would not expect the powerful jolt of pain and the residual arcing current that ran through his body as Shoma's weapon made contact with him for the first time. His eyes widened and he let out an 'oomph'-sound as he was sent reelinbg back. Little did he know that Shoma's ninja wire was wrapped around his legs forcing him to stumble. With haste he pulled from his pocket a long string of firecrackers, but not before he felt the blunt-force trauma of Shoma's second attack. The wire wrapped around his wrists. He could feel his wrist crack under the pressure of Shoma's Cloud Splitter. He flung the firecrackers wildly, through the raging blaze caused by Shoma's fiery presence. They managed to strike Shoma fully but they would make little different against the incensed warrior.

A flurry of assaults were rained down upon Mori, he was not prepared for the onslaught. His arms raised in a defensive pose were battered and his form was broken. He attempted to recover a second explosive device but it exploded in mid-flight. Mori fell down in a heap onto the ground, the fires around him continued on - they danced and they licked the air ravenous for fresh fuel to nourish this perpetual flame.

Meanwhile, Ruhako was attempting to flee. His feet padded the ground as he attempted to desert his comrade unapologetically. "I told you, asshole" he thought as he attempted to creep off. He was crouched low, attempting to conceal himself behind the dancing flames. Beads of sweat had started to form over the sleazy bandit's brow as he crept past and over his fallen comrades. every one of them had been taken down by a single man. It was fucking insanity. Who the hell was this guy. He scraped his fingers across the earthen floor and scurried. He needed to make some distance between himself and that particular young man.

And so the samurai takes a rare reckless route to route the opponent. When the man becomes touched by Shoma's liquid projectile, at least enough to matter, the swordsman shakes his wrist to ready it for use. From here he would employ speed to use in his strikes, swiftness which would form friction capable of igniting the the very clothing of the bandit. Though the murder resists with offensive attempts, it was hard to manage a blow that would prove great enough in force to stop the armored with padding. Twice each second, Shoma would hit the person again and again with batting strokes with no attempt to sever or pierce him to instill a sense of hopelessness,... and needlessness. As his opponent falls, Shoma quickly scans the area for the last man standing, whom was last seen running. His want to chase him is only quilled by the need of another, they're unknown captive. A head-on, samurai-style approach had already cost someone their life. Yet, her live would not be in danger first if it were not for the willful choice of intentions of her kidnappers.

Shoma readies his blade to do something that he disliked and also prepares him to beg for the forgiveness to the woman of whom's death he had played a part. Dropping to his knees(Assuming that she isn't still burning), place his sword on ground next to him a bows to the woman, rising only to bow yet again. After the sixth time he stands with his sword in hand to ensure that she did not meat the Great Reaper alone, but with the knowledge that her attackers will play a penalty soon after.

{OOC: Letting Ruhako escape. ATTEMPTING Executing all remaining bandits by called-shot heart stab if possible, be these actions may be interrupted at your convince(someone coming to stop him, one of the bandits trying to talk to him, etc.. If I must send round actions still let me know.}

OC: When in combat, once a user is KO'd the force-kill option is on the table. It always resolves at the end of the round and can only be prevented (as a documented action) by other users in the thread. Therefore, you have the kill option. Preventing a force kill is a 0 AP move and is a great conditional for a body guard. Leave topic when you are ready and I will give you monies. Also, please know that you are free to join normal threads, do missions, etc. We are a very open community.

IC:
Fallen each and every one, less the coward who fled. He would likely share this harrowing tale in a tavern at one of the few rustic outposts, tell others that this recently resurfaced village was not 'easy pickings.' He would not know that the man of few words was simply a traveling warrior in the right place at the wrong time. Still, he protected or tried to protect those that others had failed to. In a way that would make him the hero nobody else was willing to be. It would prove to be a greater burden than it was worth one day, this aspiration to be there and to save someone meaning only that you have met your most basic expectation but then there was also those times of failure. There was nothing to aspire to be, but there was a great distance one could fall.

The woman's spirit was at the very least avenged if one believed in such things. Some would like to believe that the spirit lingers after one has died for a short time and that it is aware of all that has transpired. While some might feel relief in seeing their death came with a consequence to the villains that had caused it, for those of a gentle heart what came next might be too much to bear. All a result of this Pyrrhic victory.

The defeated, unconscious bandit and hooligan group laid beaten and bloodied on the desert floor. Dust caked with drying blood, bruises had begun to now form on most but it was the deep gashes and their pallor that spoke the most of their damaged condition. The only proof that life still persisted in those battered shells in tattered rough spun clothes with their treasures and trophies littering the ground was their uneven, ragged breaths. It was obvious that these criminal degenerates came from a terrible place and perhaps that is what made them into the men they were today. Yet there are some people that were too broken. Shoma actually tried longer than most, he tried to talk them down. To see if there was any remnant of honor in them. There was none and this was his only option -- to put these rabid dogs down. Could this have been him if he had lacked honor or grace? If his circumstances had been different would he have been the pervert or the villain? Perhaps not, some have Teflon souls and his might be among them.

One by one the warrior took his blade and with a decisive action stabbed through not only flesh but also bone as the tip of his bloodied and worn blade cracked through their sternums. Blood pooled at the sight of injury, there would be no death cry as these man were already on the cusp of death and Shoma only ensured and hastened their departure. Once his grim task was completed, he would see a street painted in a terrible yet lovely red.

And the grim deed was done. There was little choice in the matter for him, given his code, his master's teaching. 'If one possesses the ability halt a deadly threat in days yet to come, and does not, he stands allied the one who lifts the blade.' The swordsman draws out a cloth to clean the soiled steel but he knows that metal is far easier to cleanse than the hands, the heart, or soul, from the blood exposed on this night. His eyes search the scene for the next step but his eyes find the red headed woman yet again that once was. Returning to her side, he drops to his knees again, bowing before her again in repetition.

This is how his young master finds him upon her return here. For the first time, she would see bloodly men in a bloodly street, a burned woman, her guardian both. What words could she have for something she has not seen until this day. And at her side, the result of her search for aid order.

[Npc: Masuda Ava has returned. If someone would like to join this topic they may if that is okay. If no one comes after three days go ahead and leave topic,... if all of this is cool with The Cabal.]
(Marked for training)

The young Masuda had failed to bring an officer of the law to this scene. Though this ground had been tainted already, it did not mean that the worst is over. Shoma knows that something like this has to be reported. But he would not know of the presence of Ava until she screams. Shoma is called out of his begging to attend to his highest priority, the young lady among them that is still alive. He brings himself to his feet, sword in tow, and runs to comfort her, to shield her from the sight of his deeds. After a seconds, he ushers his Young Master away from the scene. But dispite leaving, he believe with great reason the things were not over yet.
